Guest Reviews
- jacquelyn (4/5): - Dead bugs on top of the sheets. Terrible hotel do not stay here
- Melissa (10/5): - The staff here is insanely nice they really do care, the rooms have big huge beds no it’s not temper pedic mattresses but they comfy the place is really clean I love there sinks tvs works good it’s safe there is a mall right behind it i absolutely love econo I mean you getting what you pay for so don’t expect a Hilton suite
- John (2/5): - Absolute turd of a place
- Kendell (10/5): - I always stay here very convenient and reasonable prices
- Wesley (10/5): Great spot to relax! - Great spot with a lot of amenities around it. Food, Walgreens and mall!
- Chris (2/5): - Worst place I have ever stayed hands down!!!!
- Valentin (10/5): - Great place to stay convenient location and food close by . Will definitely stay here again
- JOSEPH (4/5): - Properly is very old and while kept together, it was obvious that it was done so with "paint and a promise". The ceiling tiles in the room appeared to be falling in and were bowed in.
The ironing board was soaking wet from the leaking iron left on it. The bed was suspect, but fortunately, the mattress was inside of a plastic case. We literally slept on top of the covers.
The front desk staff were friendly and responded well to a operational issue (TV remote control) and was the highlight of the stay.
All in all, it barely met the 3-star rating it had before arrival. It DID meet the low-cost criteria set before making the reservation.
- Felicia (2/5): - I should have taken pictures. A waste of money. It looks nothing like online pictures. It smells stale when you enter. The rooms look like a scene from a horror movie. The beds look old as if they've never been replaced. I didn't sleep there not one night. It's run down. I couldn't get my money back so I gave it to one of the people already staying there. It's really for locals that are homeless. I spent 3 hrs driving around looking for a hotel. Finally found an acceptable place on short notice.
- Wajdi (8/5): - Thanks for nice and good service
- Jay (10/5): Great - Great room clean place great location
- travon (8/5): Econo - Clean hotel. Location great. Friendly staff.
- LESLIE (2/5): Nasty lil moldy roach motel. - It was terrible the room smell of mold. The toilet was coming off the wall. There were bugs in the bathroom. Crack beads and meth heads all around. It was disgraceful. Not even worth the price. It was so dark a gloomy I. That room and the air conditioning leak moldy water out side the room door. O. And you can see outside through you door. It was a nightmare
- Steve (10/5): - Beautiful upgrade with the hotel and the friendly and helpful ataff
- Sherry (2/5): - Nothing at all…..didn’t stay there and I want my money back.,…
- Antonio (2/5): - I was given a double room although the facility was pretty empty. I’m traveling alone so the double room was no benefit to me with smaller beds. The photos of the rooms need to be updated as they are highly deceiving. The room was extremely hot and took hours to cool down, the sheets smelled and there were flies in the room.
- Michael (10/5): - Nice and friendly.
- Corey (2/5): - Room had roaches, smelled like mold and mildew in shower
- Mildred (4/5): - Well my room had to be changed four times due to the she's been dirty and bugs in a room horrible but he did try with the last room it was okay
- Rebecca (10/5): - Perfection fpr our needs
- Kelly (6/5): Quiet, comfortable & clean - The staff was friendly. The room was clean & the bed was fairly comfortable. The place is a little run down, but you can tell they are trying to renovate it. It was a quiet weekend considering the motel is next to a busy expressway. The room felt a little damp for some reason.
- Walter (2/5): - Neither room we tried had plumbing options that were able to work with my wifes disability, but the front desk attendant was more than top notch with her assistance, even though we had to book with a different hotel. She is the reason the hotel gets two stars
- Jay (10/5): Amazing - Amazing place rooms beds and pillows comfortable places to eat all around hot showers 10/10 spend your nights here
- Jay (10/5): YES - Great stay room was comfortable bed and pillows too the people around you in the hotel are amazing both guest and staff choose here for your future stay
- Marvis (10/5): - For the cost I wasn’t disappointed at all
- James (10/5): RECOMMEND!! - The staff here is absolutely amazing they are super nice and helpful the water is hot the water pressures good the bed and pillows are just right in my opinion
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property was ok. We ended up on an outside corridor from the pictures online which felt less secure. Jamie at the front desk was exceptional! He was very kind, thoughtful and accommodating. He was the highlight of the stay!
- Fabiola (6/5): - This property would have potential if they painted the rooms and replaced the stained chairs. The location was great, it was within a bus station.
- Aaron (10/5): - Wonderful stay
- maria (10/5): Great stay! - The lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. Very pleasant.
- Chelsea (10/5): - It's looks nice in da inside and out but the staff at da front desk was rude and mean didn't like her attitude but other than dat me and my husband stay was excellent
- Buford (10/5): - Keep up the amazing work 💪
- John (10/5): - Nice rooms
- Steven (2/5): - It’s a true meaning “ you get what you pay for “
- Rosalynn (4/5): - The sheets were dirty. The chair was stained. I had a large group of four rooms. Two were so cold the guests slept fully dressed. One had a gap between the door and the frame, so all the cold air and noise came in. Lots of questionable characters hanging around.
- shakeiria (10/5): - Love this hotel, the only hotel I stay in when I come to new orleans
- Andrew (8/5): - Came down to Louisiana two days before our cruise and this location was very convenient being just 8 minutes from the cruise terminal.
Room was clean and we had an easy check-in. Only thing I disliked is there is no coffee
Maker in the rooms you have to walk across the parking lot to the main lobby entrance. That was a minor inconvenience though.
- Melissa (10/5): - I enjoy my stay and I been here for almost 2 weeks now
- Melissa (10/5): - It’s a great place for the price
- Melissa (10/5): - I like it here really do
- Melissa (10/5): - I really enjoy my stay here
- Twins (10/5): - Loved it
- Oliver (8/5): - Good value for money
- JULIE ANN (2/5): - Awful location next to highway. Bad area. Although rooms look decent online you get exactly what you pay form. Room was awful.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst Motel Ever - This is the worst motel I have ever stayed at. We thankfully only booked it for one night because we booked the wrong dates for our actual hotel that we originally booked. It was dirty, the outlets didn't work, we didn't even want to shower in the bathroom because it was so gross, and the place could have been painted and patched better by a third grader! Never seen anything like it. The walls were so thin I could hear everyone talking in their rooms and outside as well!
- Anthony (8/5): - The main door needs to be closed tighter, big gap
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff was quite friendly checking in and out. Gave me some nice ideas on places to go/things to do. The room itself was a bit daunting. Needs updates and better up keep for sure. My room never got serviced the 4 days I was there. This was a last minute trip...was grateful to get a room but I wouldn't return.
- Nathalie (2/5): - les chambres etait tres sale! notres reservation a ete perdu et au lieu d’avoir deux chambres on a n’a eu juste 1!
- John (10/5): - Its an older property, however, it is clean. The people are nice
- Brittany (10/5): - Good sound
- Rosalyn (6/5): Decent - It was decent. There was hair in the bathtub so that freaked me out a bit. Probably wouldn't stay here again but it's good if you just need somewhere to crash for a night for a cheap price.
- Stephen (4/5): Cheap hotel, but still not good value - You get what you pay for. Cheap hotel, but having cigarette burins in the sheets was a surprise… thought we were booking a no smoking room… the TV was not working either, but I didn’t bother asking the staff to see if there was a solution.
- Satyajeet (4/5): - The quality inside the room was bad.. i found roaches too there. Floor was not clean. It was sticky.
- Marco (10/5): - Everything ok
- Sandra (2/5): - This was the worst place we have ever stayed. Can not believe Expedia books for them. We made reservations several months in advance. Drove 12 hrs to get there, to be told they didn’t have our rooms. That the people before us stayed over. Ended up being up into rooms that were no where near what we paid for. I had to take pics to believe what we walked into. The walls didn’t meet the ceiling and the tiles of the ceiling looked like they were bout to fall in. The bathroom was even worse. And to top it all of there were roaches everywhere. Like I said I have pics.
- Jacob (8/5): - It’s was a nice experience
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible place - As soon as I parked to check in, there was 4 cop cars, there was a situation that cops were looking for a person, multiple ppl from different rooms were involved, only reason I know is because after I checked in, got my keycard, I was put literally next to the situation room. I overheard it all. Besides that, the place was disguesting, smelled moldy, dust everywhere, in the bathroom the drywall/paint was falling off which probably explains the mold smell. The towels were Terrible, left your skin with a bunch of lint. I’ll never touch these hotels ever again.
- Krystal (2/5): - This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed at. When we checked in the front desk clerk couldn’t be bothered to stop talking to on her cell phone. The entire property is poorly maintained. We were greeted by not one but two dying roaches. The towels are so thin as to be non existent and the room was hot and stuffy.
- Twins (10/5): - They respond very quickly
- STEPHANIE (2/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE. stayed here for two days for the Taylor Swift concert and immediately the staff was so rude. They told me that they never got paid from Expedia, which was a lie so she charged me twice. the rooms reeked of Pine-Sol to the point where it would make you seriously nauseous. There was weird goo on the wall and cockroaches in the bathroom, and I do have video. the sink in the bathroom didn’t drain and the toilet would randomly stop flushing. The worst of it all was the smell of Pine-sol. It was so humid in the room and smelled like a basement. I had chest congestion for a week after staying there. Still trying to get it figured out to get my money back from being charged twice. It almost seems like the front desk was looking to make extra money claiming that Expedia never paid them.
- Mary (2/5): - Dirty roach hotel.
- Rito Gabriel (2/5): - ...
- Jordyn (2/5): - We booked a room 2 months in advance. Arrive to check in and they state that the room has been canceled, but it was still showing on the expedia app as booked. I asked the owner who was checking us in if there were any other rooms available (tswift was in town and limited lodging available) and he stated he had to see if anyone canceled. he then told me yes they had a room, but it would be double the price we originally booked for. 10 hours from home with nowhere else to stay, we agreed to the room even if they wouldn’t give us the original price. a minute later i got a notification on expedia that our reservation had been canceled. the whole situation was suspicious. other than that, the room had clean linen. but walls are paper thin and not the nicest part of town.
- rossana (4/5): - Not the best area to stay. Some bugs in the room
- Michelle (6/5): - Staff was very nice but the bathroom had a bunch of nats and holes in the walls. There was glue dripping down the door and had a old humid smell entering the room.
- Stephanie (2/5): - My sister and I booked a room here for the Eras Tour and found out day of stay they had bumped us. We received no notification from the hotel. We called to confirm and that’s how we found out that we did not have a room. The lady I spoke to was rude and unhelpful.
- Amra (4/5): - You get what you’re paid for
- Sergio (2/5): No room, but still charged it. - No stay due to NO room availability.
Classic horror movie motel look.
Stay away!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Messy but no bugs. Gap in door. Rough walls.
- Heather (2/5): - Overbooked location and cancelled peoples reservations without telling them before or after they did it. Got there late at night and they told us it was cancelled but did not say why. Expedia called them to find out why and they said overbooking. Had to find another hotel fast.
- Linda (2/5): Stay away - The ECONOLODGE in Gretna Louisiana was terrible. The room was not cleaned nor prepared for anyone’s arrival. There was a towel left on the sink, soap was left on the rim on the shower, toilet paper wasn’t refilled, nor was there a coffee pot. The staff was rude and charged us more for our Labrador. This is not a place I would stay at nor recommend anyone to stay at.
- Brittany (2/5): - I would not recommend anyone to stay here the room smelled like pee and also no remote so we could watch the tv and our room door would not lock so we left I still hadn’t received my refund it’s been 7 days
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The whole staff has been wonderful while staying here!!!!
- Travis (10/5): - Great facility
- Cameron (10/5): - Clean rooms
- Barbra Scott (4/5): - It had coffee but no coffee pot when asked was told they didn't have one.
We had 5 nights booked Sept 7, 2024, thru Wept 12, 2024. On the 3rd night found out Hurricane was coming in. We decided that we should leave while we could travel and not get caught in evacuation routes back to Kentucky.
We called the service desk and told them we were leaving because of the incoming hurricane. We asked for a refund for the 2 nights we weren't staying. She told us no refund, if they refunded ours, they would have to refund the others also. I told her this would be the last time we would ever stay there.
We got up early on Tuesday morning to leave for our home Kentucky. We left key in motel.
Will never stay at a Econo Lodge ever again, anywhere, any state because of this happening. We purchased the insurance, but we know it was an event that was out of our control. We could not stay with a hurricane moving in.
I'm sorry for filing a complaint but I think it's very unfair to not refund 2 nights because of what was happening.

- Josie (2/5): Not a clean or nice place to stay - Stayed 3 weeks due to a house fire there were roaches in the room and housekeeping only came twice in those two weeks, they charged me and extra $150.00 for spilling a drink on the sheets, motel was old water only got Luke warm for a shower 🚿
- Apple (4/5): - Shower was clogged, there was a television but dis not work. When i called front desk they said it was a wifi issue and that there wasn’t gonna be any tv. As someone who likes to wind down feom a busy day tv is a comfort.
- Carlos (4/5): - Power went out for 5 hours during day and the parking is horrible.
- Audrey (10/5): Customer - The stay qas great. The only thing parkin was congested.
- Steve (4/5): - I booked non-smoking room but they gave me the smoking room.
- Adolfo (4/5): Weekend trio - There were some flies in the restroom, the lights and outlets by bed didnt work. Towels felt old and worn out.
- jose (2/5): - The lady in the front desk asked to us for tip, at the beginning I thought it was a joke but then she insisted like mandatory
- Derek (8/5): Review - It was ok. The sraff was nice
