- Randy (10/5): - Was charged double for the room. Charged through booking .com and when I got to hotel they had no evidence of me paying through booking.com and charged me again full price of the stay.
- Joni (10/5): -
- Vince (5/5): -
- Hershman (8/5): - Was happy with everything Wish the pool was warmer
- Nicole (9/5): - Amenities location Pool was freezing
- Galiyano (10/5): Clean facility nice staff bring sun glasses - Very clean Every light bulb is rated based on the power of the sun.
- Troutman-Novinger (8/5): It served its purpose and staff were friendly - Good location, things to do nearby
Clean NA
- Cindy (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and very helpful
- Charles (10/5): -
- Melissa (6/5): - Poor cable. Plugs in bedroom did not work. Drawers in bedroom kept opening on its own. Indoor pool water was cold but inside the area was very warm.
- Meghan (10/5): - Wonderful time. Will book with them anywhere!!
- Ashley (1/5): I will never book here again absolutely terrible experience - Every day it smelled. I requested someone to correct the smell and that never happened It stunk very bad and didn't seem clean. It was also very loud and uncomfortable
- Shirley (8/5): - This trip was an overnight stay. The room was spacious and clean. Liked the fact that there was a kitchenette with dishes and pans if you wanted to cook something. Also liked the bench in the shower; there was a phone in the bathroom in case of emergency. The area was very quiet and close to shopping/food. I would stay again.
- Sharron (10/5): - Everything was great
- Sarah (10/5): - Had a great time but the people upstairs wanted to keep us up to about 3:00
- Aaron (10/5): - Great staff, convenient location, clean room and delicious breakfast!
- Teri (1/5): Not at all what it's rated at... - Ease of checking in Bed horrible and uncomfortable. Curtains broken so let in lots of light early in the morning - but we were able to shift them in a way to work
Pool looked like jello- bubbling. Staff said it was being treated for bacteria but had to ask bc there were no signs to stay out - very dangerous to guests staying there
Breakfast was slim pickings
Room had mold all over fan and doors- just gross
For a suite & for paying for 2 rooms for 2 nights - at $1097 - they should be ashamed to call these King Suites -they were SMALL- like little room to walk small and the location was next to a warehouse which the workers all hung around asking for handouts!
- hallway smelled of marijuana and flashing lights were not fixed. The elevators got stuck at one point so stairs were safer. Just overall not happy that the pictures and previous ratings were so high and good then get there and it's a disappointment
- Terri (8/5): Nice stay - Very busy weekend at the hotel with the Country concert. Very with our stay. Joel was clean and accommodating.
- Cherlyn (8/5): - Our room had several items broken. Only 1 roll of TP and 1 box of Kleenex for 4 people
- Jacob (2/5): - The place is very dirty, pillows had poop on them,
- Ron (5/5): Passable - pool and Breakfast was OK first room no TV and no holder for TP second room had no TP holder and bathroom had slippery bath tub bottom " almost slipped and fell twice " and hair and dirt on walls
- Brad (10/5): - Great service by front desk
- Beatriz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (2/5): This place was abysmal!!! - No. I didn't like how dirty it was, especially the chairs and the stains on the carpet. I didn't like that the toilet wouldn't flush and I had to stick my hand into the tank to make the water go down, repeatedly! I didn't like how the television didn't work, and that there wasn't one in the second bedroom. Not that it would matter, because they didn't work! And worst of all, I didn't like that you charged us almost $700 for the privilege of this lousy experience. And if you had any conscience, you would give us at least a partial refund of the money we wasted on your hotel! But don't worry, we will not be coming back. So please do not give us credit or some nonsense like that!
- Terry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lori (8/5): - Nice stay. Good breakfast, accommodating staff and very nice clean building
- Daya (6/5): Would have been great had my son was able to watch TV and swim in the pool - Friendly staff clean hotel nice stay My tv didn't work for a day in a half the pool was cold so we didn't get to enjoy that.
- Sasha (6/5): - Property smell likes carpet cleaner. It’s a pet friendly hotel but smell like covering the animals Oder with carpet cleaner. The room was nice and place in general was clean.
- Sarah (10/5): Great place amazing employees - Everyone made me feel welcomed and appreciated, big compliment to the maintenance man Steve I think went out of his way to help my family figure everything out we needed and got us stuff we needed set the room temperature for us and gave us great options for local food. Could have been a little cleaner but over all great
- Rita (9/5): Convenient and comfortable - The hotel staff was EXCELLENT! Front desk hostess Tamaia, Leasia and Steve the maintenance technician.
The handicap accessible room was very roomy and convenient. The morning breakfast was also a great convenience and the location was perfect! The room needs some TLC on the walls where there is some paint peeling.
The cost of a regular bottle of soda pop and a small bag of potato chips of over $4.50 was truly ridiculous!
- Kettly (10/5): - Very nice and knowledgeable staff. Quiet and clean!
- Tier (10/5): Exceptional -

- Steven (4/5): Below Marriott Brand Standard - An unusual, subpar stay. A couple of large, black garbage bags in hallways, dogs barking in rooms, smell of people cooking dinners, filling hallways. Felt like many people were homesteading long-term here. Plus, they had the nerve to charge for parking out in the middle of nowhere. Breakfast was standard hotel quality and acceptable. Noticable rust in bathroom, no drain cover worked. Furnishing showing wear. I don't understand why tje beds had half-size pillows?! Really? Is that a savings?
- Michael (2/5): - The two people greeting me at the front desk were a pleasure to deal with.
Unfortunately, the beds in two different rooms were uncomfortable. Soft like hammocks. Rooms 406 and another room. The lights over the living room were out. I checked out around 2:30 am. I canceled my second night.
and took pictures of these issues.
I can only hope Expedia will issue a refund. And I expected better from a Marriott.
- Michael (2/5): - The people were wonderful. The rooms were not. I was given another due to a sagging mattress in the first room. Both lacked the basics. Two sagging mattresses. My rear end sank. The lights in the living room were out. Neither TV remote worked, thus no television. I checked out around 2:30am. I took pictures.
I expect better from Marriott. I will expect a refund, not a credit. I booked through Expedia, yet I trust the manager of this Marriott will advocate on my behalf.
- R Robert (6/5): - I always prefer to stay at TownePlace Suites whenever traveling, and I've come to expect a high standard. It was still relatively comfortable and clean. But for TownePlace Suites, this is the worst one ever I've visited. The room was configured with the closet door inside the bathroom instead of the hallway. That was strange, inconvenient and very impractical. The microwave light didn't work. There was no clock and NO SHOWER CURTAIN. The last was remedied with relative ease, but that's a big oversight in my opinion. The common areas were in some disrepair. One hotel storage area had a door with a broken hinge and a big sign saying "DO NOT CLOSE THIS DOOR". How about fixing the hinge instead of making this sign?
- Smeltzer (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Thermostat in one of the bedrooms didn't work.
- Arthur (9/5): Superb - New and clean TV did not work
- Janella (10/5): Impromptu Honeymoon!!! - Our stay was excellent. Unique the evening concierge was excellent and accommodating. Will definitely visit again.
- STEPHEN (10/5): - Terrific staff.
- Maurisha (9/5): Superb -
- Joshua (8/5): - We stayed in a room with two bedrooms very nice but lots of small stuff that needed to be fixed that seemed to be easy such as shampoo fell off the shower before we got there but they just put on the shelf of shower, small holes, cleaning inconsistent wall was dirty by the table, one light clean one dirty, then after checking out and getting home they charged us for room damage for a light and that was apparently ripped off the bedroom wall but ended up giving us our money back after inquiring about it, overall very nice staff and place just little details that need attention
- Yasmine (10/5): Exceptional - Unique check us in and he was amazing. Greeted us with a warm welcome and smile. Made sure we knew everything about the amenities and helped with dinning selections. Unique mad our experience so much better. The facility is very clean and modern
- Kelly (4/5): Poor Customer Service and Faulty Charges - We got a handicap-accessible room, which we did not want, and the shower water goes everywhere. The shampoo which was supposed to be permanently anchored to the wall, was on the floor and broken when we entered the room. When we checked out, they said that they had the wrong credit card on file. I paid in advance, but he flagged us down in the parking lot saying I owed $194 for each night. He asked for my credit card, which I instinctively gave him. When I pulled up the reservation on my phone and showed him I already paid, he said he had no choice and ran my card without my permission. I asked for a manager and he said no one was available. I asked for a receipt, and he gave me one that showed I was charged $194 per night but my room rate was $204. he said, "well you got a discount then". I told him no, because I was charged twice. I showed it too him and he said he was fine now that I had been charged and he could not anything about it, he told me speak to the manager and gave me a card. I checked with my credit card company when I got home and only $10 was charged and not $194 per night. This guy clearly did not know what he was doing and I have no idea why $10 was charged because we never bought anything. Now I need to contact my credit card company... We were leaving early because my daughter had been injured in a sports tournament and she sat int he car while we argued about this in pain... will never go to another TownePlace.
- Renee (9/5): Superb - Everything but the weather that weekend. The weather.
- Erin (10/5): - 👍
- Nichole (9/5): Superb -
- Laurie (10/5): - When checking in, it took over an hour. The hotel was completely booked due to a few tournaments in town. They only had one employee at the front desk. She as lovely but so overwhelmed!
- Carolina (10/5): - Very good service
- Gwen (8/5): Decent place to stay in east York - Clean. Safe. Friendly. That it was in York, PA. Not the properties fault.
- Carol (4/5): Disappointing - The bed was very comfortable. The staff were very courteous and friendly. The carpet and bedroom curtain were dirty, clearly not vacuumed or washed. The kitchen dishes were out of reach for a short person and no stool was provided. There was no night light for the bathroom area.
There was no night light for the bathroom
- Pam (9/5): Superb - We left our bamboo pillows there. They sent us new ones as they couldn't ours. V
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christina (8/5): Very good -
- Jazmin (10/5): - Dave checked us in & was very welcoming & friendly! The property and room was very clean, lots of restaurants close by.
- Dainna (10/5): - The property was really clean and comfortable. The staff was so friendly.
- Michele (10/5): Exceptional - They staff was very helpful and accommodating.
- Michele (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diana (4/5): - It took forever to check in. My husband and I actually went and sat down while she figured it out. There were ants everywhere in the room. Other than that it was fine
- paula (10/5): - Sofa”bed” was very hard. Property ran out of bedding for the sofa beds - including pillows!
- NANCY (10/5): - The gentleman at check in was kind and efficient. My suite is comfortable and well stocked. My grandchildren in the area met me here and enjoyed a swim in the pool and we had pizza together in the breakfast nook. A wonderful stay!
- Iyana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darrell (6/5): - We had actually booked a different property in the area with Expedia. They called the evening before our scheduled check-in and said they needed to move us elsewhere. They said it would be at least as good, but it wasn't.
The bright spots where check-in, staff-friendliness, parking, and breakfast. The following are areas for improvement: First, the carpet and bathroom were not that well-vacuumed and there was some stuff on the floors. The caulk in the tub looked like it was worn and starting to develop mold in a spot. The plastic shower curtain did not reach the top of the tub and was barely contained by the cloth curtain. The room itself felt a little cramped due to layout and the TV was sideways to the bed and couch. I was also amused to see that they had an I-Home in the room, which takes me back many years. It's USB connection did not work to charge my phone, so don't forget your charging cords.
We were tired after a long drive and looked forward to a good night's sleep. I was awakened at 5:30am by clattering and voices in the hall. We should realized that our room was rather close to the breakfast areas and there was a fair bit of noise heard in the room as they prepared for it.
It wasn't a horrible stay, but the property seems a bit dated and Marriot should invest in some upgrades.
- Lorri (8/5): - Na
- Joshua (4/5): - No toilet paper in room when we arrived and full garbages. When we asked for toilet paper, they tried to give one roll. We’re a family of 5 staying for 4 days. This really seems like a discount hotel but it shouldn’t be as a Marriott TownPlace
- Michele (10/5): - Clean and comfortable
- Jo (10/5): Mattes and Gruzs Wedding - My stay was great! George was at the front desk and we spoke prior to our arrival. The day prior we were booked to stay at a hotel down the street, (due to Town Place being full) but when we arrived our reservation had been cancelled. I contacted the hotel to confirm we were booked, then again to see if we could check in early. Each time, George was very pleasant and we were able to check in early. He informed me of the breakfast and other amenities that Town Place had to offer. Only problem I had was this morning I noticed my credit card had been charged after we had already paid online, The manager I spoke with this morning should be able to take care of that. Other than that, the Marriott Brand has successfully provided us with a clean, safe, pleasant lodging and experience.
- david (6/5): Average at best - The hotel was clean but the minute you walked into the lobby all you could smell was chemicals I was on the fourth floor and all I smelled was chemicals the entire three days I was there the lobby was completely outdated and uncomfortable and I chose to meet with my business associates at another location due to this fact they didn’t notify me online that they were doing construction and there was lots of banging and noise throughout my stay
- Thomas (10/5): - The two bedroom suite with the kitchen and pullout couch was awesome when you are traveling with 3 kids.
- Asim (4/5): - We just finished a 6 night stay in a 2 bedroom suite. The sofa in the living room was broken and we could not sit on it. We requested it to be replaced or fixed on day 1 and followed up. However, none of the managers cared about addressing it.
- Barbara (6/5): - i was told when we arrived we would get towels on day 3 and a full clean on day 7. We got towels on day 3 but no clean or towels on day 7. We left a day early because of it.
- John M (10/5): - I loved my stay at the TownePlace Suites York PA! The rooms were spacious, quiet, modern and clean, everything in my room worked just as it should. Lots of great dining options, and stores in the area. The staff was fantastic, very hospitable, made me feel at home. They welcomed me every morning with a hot delicious breakfast to start my day. I can't say enough good things about this hotel, and I am looking forward to my next stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent
- Elizabeth (2/5): Disappointing - Was not made aware at booking time that breakfast was not available and was still charged full price.
Had to request clean towels, everyday, coffee and toilet paper. Very disappointed and would not recommend it to anyone.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I’ve stayed all over the world, and I can honestly say that the staff and property far exceeded all expectations I had. I loved the front desk staff as they were always cheery and smiling. I had a couple issues with my electronic key and the head of the maintenance staff took care of it immediately. I moved here from Los Angeles and the staff made me feel at home here until I moved into my house. I was actually a little sad to be leaving as the staff had sorta become my family away from home. Kudos to your great company!!
- adrian (8/5): Good for a family vacation - we booked the two bedroom suite, worked really well for our family vacation. Only issue is the lingering COVID/employee vacancy issues causing no breakfast. Thought it might be noisy because of location but wasn't. Near everything you would want to see in that area of PA.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Place! - Fantastic stay. The suite was perfect for my family of 5 to create a quiet, private environment for everyone. The bathroom was even set back from the bedrooms and the main living area so you don't have to wake up the entire family if you wake up early or get up in the middle of the night. Perfect!
- Rachel (8/5): Wonderful Staff - Great stay --- wonderful staff
- David (8/5): - Was the perfect location for all we wanted to do in the area. Was like an apartment, 2 bedroom, living room with pull out sofa and a kitchenette. Very reasonable in price for what we got. Pool needs to be warmed up a couple degrees. We had no maid service because of covid but we're not told, had to ask questions and figure it out. Maids only went into rooms that had been vacated. No discount offered
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good place to stay!
- marianne (10/5): I'll Be Back!! - The prior week I was next door at Marriott Courtyard and wasn't happy with there, so decided to try TownePlace. Always had a friendly person at desk to say hello and gladly give more towels or coffee pods when needed. The room was very clean, beds comfy and LOVED the pillows! Temp was easy to regulate and bathroom clean, which is a big plus to me! Will stay here again!
- Rick (10/5): Clean and Comfortable - Clean, comfortable, safe. Grab and Go breakfast was only meh
- Verified traveler (4/5): Low marks because everyone was getting high - The halls and elevators constantly smelled of pot. The door leading outside was broken and never locked so anyone could get into the hotel. The wifi was very slow. The area around the hotel was covered in trash and litter.
The front desk workers were nice and it was beneficial to have a kitchen and 2 separate bedrooms with our own temperature control, but that's all the positive things I can say about the hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All staff members were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
- Heather (4/5): - Very disappointed this stay. Upon checking in we found 5 bags of prescription medications in the one bedroom drawer. There was not batteries in any of the 3 tv remotes. Needed to ask for another roll of toilet paper because only the almost used up roll was there. We paid extra to have the kitchen but could not use any of the pots or pans because they were extremely nasty. Looked as if they had rust on them. I think this location just needs some TLC or lower your prices. Like I said we had stayed there over a year ago and since then it looks as if the rooms were used heavily and not maintained.
- Luis (10/5): Breathe taking - Pool and gym was open, the breakfast was a sack lunch, enjoyed my stay, front desk person was very pretty
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Room was not cleaned. Beds were not made upon arrival and had chip crumbs in them and there was a pile of dirty towels in the corner of the room which was disgusting. Was told the entire 4 days we could not use the pool because there was a 10 person limit yet there were not 10 people in the pool when we asked multiple times. Asked to go in pool at 945 when it was empty was told no it closes in 15 min at 10pm went by at 1030pm there were adults in there swimming.
- Melissa (8/5): Pretty good - Nice hotel. Clean and quiet. Conveniently located to everything. The only issue i found was due to covid breakfast was a few items in a brown bag to takeaway. It would have been nice to have had packets of oatmeal, yogurt or other items like that instead of just a granola bar and a piece of fruit.
- Maureen (8/5): General Manager very helpful - COVID has hit everyone hard, and the hospitality industry is no exception.
That being said, although there were scaled-back services, General Manager Jen was very responsive and helpful whenever we needed something.
- Georgette (10/5): Georgette Provost - Quick check in and explained accommodation. Thanks
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Suite arrangement and its cleanliness.
Receptionist at check in and the one at check out
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was clean and spacious. Staff were nice. Good breakfast
- Laura (10/5): - Super friendly and helpful front desk and staff. Clean, bright, new. Very comfortable beds! Would definitely stay again.
- GEH (10/5): - Great room, mini kitchen. Very clean. All the appliances and switches worked and were new.
