• Henriette (10/5): Entspannende Klosteratmosphäre - Das Kloster Hornbach ist ein ganz besonderer Ort, um Urlaub zu machen: die Klosteratmosphäre (auch optisch greifbar) bis hinter zum zauberhaften Blumeninnenhof sorgt für Ruhe und Entspannung. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, die Betten bequem, alles ist perfekt sauber. Zur Begrüßung gab es Karottenkuchen und Äpfel (passend dazu einen geistreichen Spruch über die positive Wirkung von Äpfeln neben der Tür). Auch der Spa-Bereich mit kleinem Pool ist einladend und individuell. Es ist in jeder Hinsicht viel geboten (Zimmerausstattung, Möglichkeit zum Einkauf von Produkten wie selbstgemachter Marmelade ...). Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und wirklich exquisit. Ich nehme an, auch das Abendessen ist besonders gut (die Karte klang sehr verheißungsvoll). Die Küche schließt nur eher früh. Der Herr an der Rezeption war sehr kulant: Die Öffnungszeiten des Spa-Bereichs waren ausnahmsweise länger, wir erhielten eine besondere Parkmöglichkeit und ein Zimmerupgrade, um zwei Zimmer in unmittelbarer Nähe nebeneinander zu haben. Auch wenn es nur für eine Nacht war: ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Was soll ich sagen: ein besonderer Platz hat wohl einfach seinen Preis...

We were lucky to have the hotel almost to ourselves, so we practically had a private spa where our 3-year-old son could play freely in the pool. The room was also very comfortable and quiet. Big points for the staff, who were always polite and willing to help. Nothing related to the hotel itself, but I think the restaurant left a bit to be desired. We didn’t order anything complex, just two soups and a flammkuchen, which in my opinion were overpriced, especially considering the taste.

Rooms are extremely well designed with comfort in mind. Reception at the front desk warm and genius. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The rest of the staff was fine but did not match to the same level. I did not feel welcome in one of their restaurants, it might have been just an off day. Cleaning service was fabulous.

• Sally-anne (10/5): Quality and Luxury at an affordable price - Calm, elegant and relaxed atmosphere. Staff very attentive and the owner of the hotel introduced himself and welcomed us at dinner. The staff went the extra mile to make sure everything was great. Several ‘extras’ at other hotels were included, such as a welcome sparkling wine on arrival, a piece of cake in the bedroom and a stocked minibar which was all free of charge. They even gave us a couple of bottles of water for our onward journey on check out. Absolutely faultless throughout, evening meal was of very high quality and not too pricey. Limited onsite parking, but overflow car park about 100 yards away.

• Gabriele (4/5): - Beim Check in mussten wir feststellen, dass es sich bei dem gebuchten Zimmer um ein Maisonette handelt und sich beim Badezimmer mit Toilette nur eine Schlafcouch befindet. Eine Schlafcouch kommt derzeit aus gesundheitlichen Gründen nicht infrage. Beim Auschecken heute Morgen mussten wir den vollen Preis, 252 €, zahlen. Wir wurden darauf hingewiesen, dass Provisionen an EXPEDIA zu zahlen sind. Auch ein Hinweis, dass bei EXPEDIA kein Hinweis auf eine Maisonette zu finden ist, brachte uns nicht weiter. Das Hotel wird EXPEDIA kontaktieren. Wir erwarten in diesem Fall eine kundenfreundliche Lösung, da wir das Zimmer wechseln, in einer geringeren Kategorie wohnten und dafür den Preis zahlen möchten.

The dog bed, water bowl, and treats provided in the suite also added a personal touch appreciated by our four-legged family member. The property celebrates its heritage while offering all the mod-cons expected from demanding guests like ourselves, including EV charging. Our stay felt extremely relaxing in what is a very beautiful and quiet location.
