- JONATHAN (7/5): - Friendly welcome. Good location. A bit noisy.
- John (9/5): A great place to stay. - Central location in the town. Narrow staircase.
- Matt (7/5): -
- John (6/5): Too expensive for something so basic - Excellent location. Very well appointed bathroom Too expensive for a very basic room with horrible pillows and old, snd in one case, ripped towels. Access was convoluted and down a dark and badly lit alleyway. Parking information was not correct.
- Luiz Felipe (10/5): - It didn't bother me but don't expect to go to sleep before midnight on a weekend
- Guest (9/5): -
- Rob (3/5): We cut it short - Location Too numerous to list

- vicky (9/5): Lovely night in Kings Lynn - Lovely stay at the White Hart. The room was big however looked on to the beer garden, it did have bamboo fencing for some privacy but can imagine in the summer this could cause disturbance. Cleanliness was excellent and staff in the pub all friendly and welcoming. Thanks for a lovely stay. The bed creaked at avery little move so kept waking us up through the night which was a little annoying.
- richard (9/5): Great value for money. Old style pub, no thrills but perfect for a one ir two night stay. - It’s a lovely old building, full of character. Nice and clean with simple and soothing decor. The room was big with large bed and loads of room. Bathroom was a bit on the small size but perfectly useable. Not much really. The passageway to the rooms looked a bit dodgy initially but no real problems. Well light with motion sensor lighting.
- Mark (8/5): Very happy and would stay again - Very welcoming. A bit chilly in the room even with the radiator turned up

- Lorna (6/5): We only stayed very briefly for one night so it was annoying to have to move rooms, but we were lucky there was another - Location was great for the town and close to the shops. Manager was very helpful Unfortunately the toilet didn’t flush in the en suite and we had to be moved to another, much smaller room.

- Jo (10/5): Great overnight stay on the way back down to Kent - Central location staff were lovely, and recommendations were great for dinner.. met the new guy in the kitchen and wish him well for the future Nothing

- Richard (9/5): Very comfortable, welcoming and clean - Excellent location for access to the town and ease of access to the room
- Peter (5/5): It was okay but .... - The young lady who checked me in, showed me the room and facilities was very pleasant and helpful The mattress was so uncomfortable and the pillow cases were not as clean as I would have expected.
- Mrs (10/5): Very pleasant - would stay there again. - Great location. Clean and comfortable. Good value. Nothing
- Isabelle (3/5): Chambre mal odorante, bruyante, rapport qualité prix nul. Beaucoup trop cher.

- James (2/5): - Shower unadjustable, nearly burned alive
- Iain (7/5): All good id stay again -
- Louise (7/5): Good - Nice lady let me in, friendly. Big room, quaint old building. Good shower. Clean. Its quite noisy in room but it is a pub. A few little finishing touches like a biscuit, few more, newer towels, cushions, more coffees would make a big difference and make it excellent rather than good.
- Gary (8/5): Clean , pleasant and comfortable - Great location

- Kerry (4/5): - The bed squeaked every time you moved on it.
The room door did not shut unless you locked it so felt very unsafe.
The shower didn't work correctly
- Lynne (5/5): Good location and easy to park. Staff are very welcoming and friendly but the rooms could do with a bit of TLC. - Friendly staff and good location. Bathroom door wouldn’t close without sticking. Sink very small in bathroom.
Very cold room on arrival.
- Sarah (9/5): A great friendly pub and accomodation - I stayed at The White Hart Pub in Kings Lynn for two nights in September whilst completing the North Norfolk Coastal cycling route. (The first night and the last night as this was where I started my trip from) The pub manager Louise was very friendly and helpful when I arrived and went above and beyond carrying my panniers up to my room for me as I was checking in a bit early.
The bedroom was newly decorated, and felt clean and modern with a Smart TV. The double bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was very well designed for such a small space, and the tea and coffee selection was great.
In the morning the manager Mattie helped me get my bike which they locked in the store room for me. He was lovely to chat to and gave me lots of info on Kings Lynn and the surrounding areas. It was great coming back at the end of my trip to celebrate my victory at making it across the finish line. Both managers Louise and Mattie were lovely to chat too and really helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
- Josh (10/5): Perfect - THE TV’s all had integrated apps that the white hart had also made accounts for. So if you work away and want to watch the series you started binging at the weekend they have it sorted. Clean rooms, great service great location kings Lynn is beautiful at night for a stroll. 10/10
- Sarah (8/5): Friendly, helpful staff and a comfortable, modern stay. A great base in Kings Lynn. - I stayed at The White Hart Pub in Kings Lynn for two nights in September while completing the North Norfolk Coastal cycling route—the first night and the last, as this is where I started and finished my trip. The pub manager, Louise, was very friendly and helpful when I arrived and even went above and beyond by carrying my panniers up to my room when I checked in a bit early.
The bedroom was newly decorated, clean, and modern, with a Smart TV. The double bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was cleverly designed for such a small space, and the tea and coffee selection was excellent.
In the morning, the manager Mattie helped me retrieve my bike, which they had safely locked in the store room. He was lovely to chat with and gave me plenty of tips about Kings Lynn and the surrounding area. It was wonderful returning at the end of my trip to celebrate completing the route. Both Louise and Mattie were friendly, helpful, and welcoming—I would definitely stay here again! As it's not a B&B maybe a list of cafes and restaurants nearby to recommend for breakfast.

- Usama (10/5): A great place from which to explore King's Lynn - Location. Right opposite the Abbey. Close to the river and a selection of great restaurants and grocery shops. Nothing
- Colin (9/5): Good basic accommodation in excellent location. - The room was clean and functional with all necessary supplies for tea making and washing. The location was excellent, close to Tourist Information Office, museum and Minster church. Several restaurants nearby and the venue is a pub ! Some noise from the bar in the evening especially at weekends and from traffic, but after closing time all was quiet throughout the night. Easy walk from the station, about 15 minutes. 24 hour access to the building. N/A
- Derek (9/5): Made to feel welcome with great staff. Also a great location for all your needs -
- Sabine (8/5): Alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit. - Super Lage, trotz Pub im Erdgeschoss und zentraler Lage nachts sehr ruhig. Alles eigentlich ok - Bad etwas eng.
- david (9/5): Very nice would stay again - It very clean a welcoming In right area for what we wanted to do
- Dr Laura I-D (7/5): - Friendly staff. Good location. Very clean rooms. Unfortunatley the room we were in was uncomfortable as we could hear some sort of generator below which activated on and off throughout the night. Not a problem for my husband who could sleep through anything but unfortunately it kept me up all night. It's an old building so we could also hear the toilet of the taps running in the other rooms.
- Orsted (4/5): -
- AnnBelle (5/5): Great location, good value but a typical pub room, not great for a lone female. - Lovely town location. I stayed as a lone female it was a big issue for me that all of the rooms all had the same key to get through the entry door and then this was the same key for your room, this made me worry that anyone of the other overnight occupants could enter my room and there was no inside lock to prevent this. Doors to rooms were heavy so slammed shut so I was awoken each time as the whole room rattled with each door slam making me fear someone was in my room.
Room itself was clean and although I had reservations about the bed I found it to be comfy although I did spin the duvet & pillow round to sleep the opposite way as the room slopped to one side.
As this place is a pub you can hear pub and street noise but as I wear earplugs this wasn’t an issue, the doors slamming however was.
I would possibly stay here again but not alone as it was a great location and a good price in comparison to others locally.
- McAfee (10/5): - Rooms were lovely and comfortable
- Cathy (8/5): - Beautiful clean room. Nice view of the cathedral. I do wish they had renovated the pub old style especially the bar downstairs. It has no character. Could be any random pub in England. Nothing that shows it was the oldest pub in kings Lynn 😒
Characterless!!!
- christopher (9/5): -
- sean (1/5): Not bad - Bathroom door would not close but worst thing was laying in bed at 07.30 and someone tried to get in the room, I watched the door handle go
- Catherine (8/5): Great for a short stay. - Stayed in a clean and compact twin room. Good central location and pleasant staff. Shower cubicle in this room was a little tight for taller folk.
- David (6/5): - Decor No ice available (not enough to give away), no breakfast option at venue. Loud music (live band) wasn’t aware of this when booking. Played until 23:00 at least.
- Nicholas (7/5): -
- sarah (10/5): -
- Victoria (9/5): Lovely place for us to stay as a couple with a dog, very friendly and excellent value for money! - Matt and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The pub is in a good location and we enjoyed large live music. The room was clean and well presented and great value for money!
- Kristina (7/5): - Ideal location and nicely decorated Doors can be stiff and noisy
- Garrard (8/5): -
- Alice Carlotta (8/5): -
- Jim (5/5): Adequate. Over priced. - Location Price. Size of room.
- Carmel (2/5): Definitely would not stay again and would not recommend to anyone to stay. Extremely disappointed - Location was good for our visit to Sandringham The bed was awful. Cheap bouncy bed, not a good nights sleep. Every move one person made & the other person would bounce. Poor quality pillows & quilt too. I specifically paid more money for the king size bed thinking the bed and room would be bigger & more comfortable, but it wasn’t. No wardrobe, so the clothes had to hang on one hook on the back of the door. The bathroom sink has a wobbly tap that moves every time you turn it on. You have to hold the tap to change from hot to cold. The sink is blocked too.
- Jenny (2/5): - Bathroom door wouldn’t close. Had a pillow that stunk of stale urine on my bed.
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): Very comfortable room in centre of the old part of town. -
- Whenman (8/5): Very good -
- Kate (9/5): Loved the decor. Rooms are above a pub and the location is great. Staff were very helpful. - Check in is easy, staff very friendly. It is a central location. There is a carpark is across the road. Loved the decor.
- Anita (7/5): Good -
- Kevin (9/5): Superb -
- Gary (6/5): Not great won’t book again. - Large room No wardrobe in room, stayed for a week & not once did anybody clean the room or change towels, fill up milk, coffee loo rolls etc.the tv has no aerial so no live tv, only Roku streaming. The bar downstairs is quite depressing & tired looking.
- Aj (1/5): Filthy room, unwashed soiled sheets with dried bodily fluids, zero accountability, gaslighting, lies - The location was convenient, and the staff were friendly enough, but none of that makes up for having to sleep on a towel over filthy soiled sheets with dried bodily fluids in a filthy room. This was hands down the most disturbing hotel experience I’ve ever had. On my first night, I pulled back the blanket and found that the sheets were soiled in multiple dried bodily fluid stains. Shiny, textured, clearly unwashed. It was late, there was no one around to help, so I had to sleep on a towel over the filth.
The next morning, I told the staff in person what I had seen. They tried to brush it off as “just stained.” I told them clearly, it’s not stained, it’s dried-on, shiny, textured, and clearly hadn’t been washed. They changed the sheets that day, but the fact they let someone check into that bed is horrifying.
The rest of the room was just as nasty. There were hairs all over the counters, dressers, and bedside tables, and inside the drawer was a hairbrush full of someone's hair. It was obvious no one had wiped anything down. Basic hygiene clearly isn't part of their standards.
I messaged the hotel through the Booking.com app on July 15, requesting a refund for the first night. They ignored it. I filed a formal complaint with Booking.com on July 17, including photo evidence, which I’m attaching to this review, too. Booking.com then contacted White Hart.
Then came the gaslighting. The White Hart replied that same day (17th), stating that they won't refund me because it had been “two weeks after" that I reported it.
Let's do the math, shall we?
I stayed from July 7–10
I reported it in person on July 8, the very next morning after I discovered it
I messaged them on July 15 through the app
I filed the complaint on July 17
So not only are they dirty, they’re also dishonest and apparently think their guests don’t know how to count. I don’t know if the person who replied has ever seen a calendar, but the math isn’t mathing.
To make matters worse, they completely contradicted themselves within the same email thread. First, they claimed it wasn’t a stain, that “something had melted on.
- Samantha (9/5): Superb -
- Dr__jones (8/5): Very good -
- Jakub (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (8/5): Very good - We had a king room. It was spacious and Clean and decorated nicely. Nice shower. The small en suite. Kept catching my arm on the latch.
- Cristina (7/5): Good -
- David (7/5): on the whole good, would reccomend, cheers - bar staff need to be more focused on whos waiting for a drink instead of talking with their buddies, the bar has two ends you know!!
- Emily (1/5): Most disgusting place I have ever stayed - Nothing Rude staff, disgusting place, things not working
- Mary (9/5): Superb -
