Guest Reviews
- Allison (10/5): - Welcoming hostess and good breakfast. Clean facilities.
- Eileen (10/5): Best and Breakfast at its Best--European style! - This is a lovely European style bed and breakfast run by lovely Agnes and her delightful husband. Clean and comfortable, with beautiful grounds in a picturesque high valley of the northern Catskills between Windham High Peak and Thomas Cole Montains. Our breakfast was delicious blueberry pancakes and great chats with the owner/operators and fellow guests. A great experience!
- Arben (10/5): - Evrything grate
- Gregory (10/5): - Beautiful house and setting. Friendly family type atmosphere with chickens making eggs for breakfast.
- Noel (10/5): - Great location, nice and peaceful
- SHARON (10/5): - The owner was extremely welcoming and personable, and we had a lovely conversation over breakfast. Breakfast itself was delicious, the room was lovely and everything that I expected. Thank you for such a pleasant experience!
- Nancy (10/5): - We were greeted by the owner with a smile and very helpful information to make our stay excellent. She sat down with us to help us plan our hiking experience. The room was extremely clean and set up nicely. The food was delicious and the homemade chocolate chip cookies were the best ever! A wonderful stay and I recommend it highly.
- Mitchell (10/5): - They were incredibly kind and accommodating of my late arrival. In my morning rush, I forwent the breakfast. Instead they gave me a bag of healthy snacks for my busy morning!
- Michelle (10/5): - This was our second time staying at this property and it was a great stay. Agnes is such a great hostess and the breakfast was fantastic. We will be back again!

- Michelle (10/5): - What a wonderful place to stay! Our hosts were absolutely fantastic and a complete pleasure to talk to. We felt like family for the duration of our stay. The property was so cute, clean and well maintained and there was a little path to the creek in the back. Breakfast was delicious and fresh (eggs from their own chickens!). Convenient location to all of our favorite spots in the Catskills including our hikes to Plattekill Falls and Windham High Peak. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone else who wants to feel at home in the mountains.
- Urszula (10/5): - Very nice, friendly staff. The owner gave us directions and advice what we can see in the area. She told us about the beautiful house looks like little castle. We didn’t even know exist. Very nice quiet place to stay for your weekend getaway😁
- Suzan (10/5): - Agnes the owner was a great host. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Definitely would recommend staying here.
- Nef (10/5): - Anges was an amazing host! Mountain Treasure Bed and Breakfast" was fantastic, and the creek and its surroundings gave it the perfect touch. Anges is well versed with many activities (hiking, canoeing, swimming), attractions (historic sites), restaurants, etc. nearby. If you want a nice and quiet experience or outdoor excitement, Mountain Treasure B&B will not disappoint. Thank you, Anges!
P.S. The chickens were friendly too.. lol!
- Mark (10/5): - My wife and I felt welcomed from the moment we arrived and walked in the door. Agnes was so inviting and warm, and made sure that all of our questions were answered. She made a great breakfast (fresh eggs from her and her husband’s coop, etc.) She surprised us with a nice mid-afternoon dessert when we walked in the door, after exploring the area. The grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. It felt very personal and private. We would highly recommend this for anyone looking to stay in the area.
- antwan (10/5): - The service is excellent
- Gerry (10/5): - Very homey, nice area to enjoy the outside. Very convenient to activities and dining.
- Cynthia (10/5): - What an amazing B&B just love the hosts were just lovely and very personable. Agnes made some Polish snacks when we got there. Loved walking down and sitting by the creek, so peaceful. Fun seeing the chickens and their garden. Had an absolutely great breakfast - their chicken eggs were soooo delicious. Everything from the coffee, fruit dish, eggs and bacon was the best. Would definitely recommend this place and if we are ever up this was in NY again will come back here.
- Mahesh (6/5): - Na
- Robert (10/5): - I have never had such a warm welcome from a B&B as I got at Mountain Treasure. Everything was amazing here, and the hosts couldn't do enough for me, from tips on where to go mountain biking, to actually driving me to a trail head to go hiking so I didn't have to walk a loop. Heavenly breakfasts and great coffee in the mornings too. Also, very strong, fast wifi in my room. Would definitely go back again.
- Jorge (8/5): - True, the B&B or “Inn” qwhatever experience had been absent in our lives for a number of years I frankly don’t recall how many, maybe 8? So I, I don’t know @ her but I felt biased in favor of the “small is beautiful “ concept and Agnes delivered on that. Specially on her carefully curated, meaning her own hens frittata. But, hold on, hold on hadn’t we had five weeks before a similar “small is beautiful, kind of experience - breakfast on your own- in Alicante? So the Q boils down to which breakfast was better, the host’s or yours truly on the other side of the Stlantic, actually the Mediterranean? Bottom line, interacting with the owner, on the Fem side, less so on the M side drove me to add Poland to my next E. Afri-Cyprus-Mattel to Ost Europe vacation. Krakow b&b or served apartment anyone? Tips welcome
- D. (10/5): - THE CHICKEN'S WERE AN ATTRACTION AND A SPECIAL FARMING TOUCH..
- Johanna (10/5): - Agnus is amazing.I was super sad and just grieving and had no destination as to wear my night was ending. I booked last minute and she was so welcoming at started to cry instantly. It is quiet and safe so any females traveling alone she us safe and the creek is wonderful !
- Pin-Jung (10/5): - Very tranquil place and nice hosts
- Roger (8/5): - The room was well appointed and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable. We only wished that we would’ve had a common room to sit to read a book or read the paper. The food was delicious and plentiful. The snow covered hill out our room window was picture perfect.
- Brian (8/5): - Great Breakfast, Friendly host.
- Robyn (10/5): See you soon! - Warm and comfortable inn; great breakfast; comfortable bed.
- Shona (10/5): - The hosts were very personable and made the stay very welcoming. Food was delicious with fantastic side options. I would stay here again!
- Robyn (8/5): - Hostess was warm and friendly. Inn was very clean. My room was smaller than I realized, but very clean and comfortable. I would visit again. Also very quiet and comfy bed. Breakfast was tasty. Thank you!
- Alex (8/5): - Very pleasant host, convenient location to mountains and restaurants.
- Jonathan (10/5): - Incredible place to stay! A warm, cozy, and intimate experience. All thanks to the amazing host for the hospitality and delicious yogurt parfaits. Recommend to anyone traveling to this area!
- Christopher (10/5): Great Stay! Host is wonderful, food was excellent! - Our stay here was great! Agnes and Jan were very welcoming. Agnes is so sweet and helpful, and her cooking is delicious! Breakfast was a delight and every evening a delicious snack was put out (ginger bread cookies, mini cheese cakes). I would definitely come back, the place is very cozy and feels like a traditional upstate cabin. We stayed here for a ski trip and were generally out and about from morning to late afternoon.
- Piotr (10/5): - Owners are truly amazing. Actually took me to see fireworks at nearby Windham. Showed me the goodness of the area. If you’re looking for a family friendly stay. Look no further.
- g (10/5): - Agnas was the most friendly hostess you’ll find anywhere, and she takes excellent care of the place. Breakfast was wonderful, and I especially enjoyed the old-school DVD library!
- dawn (10/5): Comfortable place to stay - A friend and I just did a quick weekend away hiking. Our room was the smaller one but still very comfortable. It was very easily located to all the things we wanted to do. The owner and host Agnes was very friendly and helpful, along with her great home-cooked breakfasts. Would definitely recommend.
- toma (10/5): - Everything was great from check-in to check-out. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was great.
- Nigina (10/5): - Wonderful, perfectly clean room, amazing beauty around, the hostess is very caring and nice lady. The best!
- Victor (4/5): - Grounds are nice and room is clean.
But we could not relax and enjoy our stay, could not wait to get out as owner did not make us welcome and comfortable.
- Denise (10/5): - Rooms are meticulous! Bed is super comfy and the hosts are welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was delicious! The end of the evening culminated in a fire at the fire pit which was fun. The B & B is set in beautiful surroundings. We will definitely be returning!

The property is beautiful and the breakfast was amazing. Great coffee and we had as much of it as we wanted. We recommend anyone staying in the area to stay there. By the way the property also has a back house that sleeps six people we would love to bring our family one day and stay in it. everything you need to enjoy the day also very private. the creek in the back is so serene you can at times here it from your room. Omg I wanted to live there. thanks again Agnes, see you soon from Carmen & Pedro.

- James (10/5): - A gem!
- Yasmine (10/5): - Fantastic host, fantastic property, amazing art, attention to details, super clean, super friendly, great food. Loved it!!!
- Feng (10/5): - Very nice stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): Out of the way - Stay - Comfortable and clean, but nothing special.
- Pearl V. (10/5): - Beautiful B&B. Very helpful.
- Laura (6/5): - The place is kind of old and poorly maintained. It looks so much nicer in pictures. The rooms are small and without any style. Breakfast is ok.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hosts are very polite and friendly, breakfast is perfect, the property itself and place are beautiful. See you next time. Sergei
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The garden was fabulous. Noisy from the rain on the roof

- Ellen (10/5): Fall Catskill visit - Our hosts were outstanding and created new standards of safety and cleanliness during Covid times that we greatly appreciated. The house and room were lovely and it is in a perfect location to hiking trails and scenic views. If the weather was nicer we could have taken advantage of outdoor seating. Agnes is so nice and an outstanding cook! We did the hikes she recommended and had a great time!
- Jahangir (10/5): - Amazing - The owner, Agnes was extremely helpful. we had the best breakfast in this BB hotel. Will go back again.
- Lisa (4/5): Stains of Sheets: Unhappy Morning Surprise - Started out great. Host was very communicative, send a COVID questionnaire in advance, and told us breakfast was timed so guests had breakfast room to ourselves. Great!
We arrived pretty late (11:30 PM) room was less quirky as per photos and more weird and creepy but the bed was comfy and it looked clean in the dark. We fell asleep right away.
Woke up to see stains on the sheet. Yikes! The stain was on the pillow and sheet, and it lined up so I was a little freaked out that the sheets hadn't been changed. I hope that wasn't true. When I politely told the hosts and showed them the photos, instead of apologizing they accused me of making the stain! They even came outside to run after us as we were leaving to yell at us.
I am going to believe them that the sheets were changed, (the stain was light so probably washed and dried), but it was not great to wake up to that doubt in times of COVID and it was not great to be yelled at by the owners. Kind of ruined the morning.
- Iwona (10/5): Hidden gem - We spent a long weekend here and the only thing we were not happy with is that we had to leave!
Wonderful B&B with an amazing breakfast. Plenty of private space outdoor and the creek in the back is great for dipping your feet in cold mountain water.
The service is great and the place is super clean. Agnes is also very knowledgeable about local hiking trails and things to do.
Will definitely come back soon!
- Michal (10/5): Highly recommended! 10/10 - Mountain Treasure is everything you can wish from Bed and Breakfast. My bed was really conformable so I had an amazing night's sleep. Choice of breakfast is great and everything is home made, freshly cooked and tastes delicious. The BnB also sales lift tickets at discounted rates! Hosts: Agnieszka and Jan are super helpful and friendly! I cannot recommend this place enough!!! 10/10.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very cute and welcoming. The owners are very kind and helpful.
- Ken (10/5): - Amazing bed and breakfast experience, with a very welcoming host and well appointed rooms.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Agnes was wonderful! So helpful in planning activities and very sweet and kind.
- Amitai (10/5): Truly a Treasure! - Mountain Treasure was the perfect place for our one-night stay in the Catskills. My girlfriend and I drove up from the city to explore Kaaterskill Falls for just a day (which we highly recommend!). We booked our room through Hotels.com just a few hours before we arrived around 10 pm for check-in and thankfully Agnes was able to accommodate us so last minute! The room was super clean and cozy and the price was affordable. The backyard was one of our favorite parts: we loved relaxing in the hammock, checking out the bubbling creek, and taking in the mountain views. There was even a fire pit! Agnes went above and beyond with breakfast, serving us a three-course meal that included a fruit parfait, Polish-style crepes, and eggs and bacon. Wow! We only wish we had more time to relax and enjoy this heavenly place.
- Michael&Gunilla (10/5): - The property was extremely well maintained and the location was perfect for getting a good night sleep.
- Ahmet (10/5): Overnight wedding visit - Agnes was a delightful host. Breakfast was made to order, hot, served cheerfully and delicious. She even made decaf coffee when my wife asked.
- Lori (10/5): Wonderful Weekend! - Immaculately clean, comfortable room. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. We had an amazing stay here this past weekend! Agnes, we hope you have an amazing summer - we will see you again soon!!
- Dave (8/5): Excellent Catskills B&B. Close to ski resorts. - Very well kept B&B well decorated. Agnes gave great directions to local food and served an excellent breakfast. Room well decorated.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very friendly lady owner ( sorry I Don’t remember her name ) .
- Gary (10/5): Close and Comfortable - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and are hopeful for a return trip next year (late ski season).
The breakfast was sumptuous and the accommodations clean tidy with a comfortable bed, and plenty of hot water and water pressure for the shower. Of course, we enjoyed chatting with our Innkeeper, and the proximity (3-4 miles) to downtown Windham and to Windham Mt. by car.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Highly recommend! Agnes was so nice and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were cozy and comfy. Located right in the middle of Hunter and Windham so great location! You won't be disappointed.
- CleoNicci (10/5): - Owner is amazing. She is so nice
Room is so clean
Her breakfast is the best in town
Waffle is great!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The whole house and room is very clean. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely hostess, rustic style, not super fancy, cozy and great service, enjoyed it all around.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely loved the Mountain Treasure B&B! Agnes is a lovely woman and her breakfast and treats were amazing. The inn is so quaint and charming, and is a short drive from Windham mountain and the downtown area. We can’t wait to go back!
- Maurice (10/5): A perfect stay - I have to begin with a comment on the host, Agnes. She is wonderful - so welcoming, pleasant and helpful. She invited me to partake in a freshly baked cake...love the chocolate topping, and recommended a lovely authentic Italian restaurant, 5 minutes drive away, where I had a 5-star meal.
The B&B is well kept and very clean. My room was spotlessly clean - the hardwood floor helped greatly. My bed was very comfortable - I slept like a baby. The bathroom is very clean with a generous supply of personal care items. The WiFi strength is very good - I watched a soccer game and streamed a Netflix movie without any of the annoying buffering interuptions.
I'm already thinking of booking my next stay.
- Subhajit (10/5): - This B&B offers a quiet getaway in Catskills Mountains. It is neatly tucked way from the busy towns which attract crowds to their skiing facilities. At the same time, it is less than 20-30 minutes away from most attractions in the area.
The house is very well-appointed and well-maintained. We were welcomed warmly by our host - Agnes - who showed us around the facility and offered to heat up our dinner on a bitterly cold Thanksgiving night. We had chosen the Country room, which is a tad small but very cozy with a full-size bed. We were provided an extra heater in the room if it got too cold in there.
Agnes offers 3 choices for breakfast - (a) Eggs with bacon, (b) Belgian waffles, (c) Crepes - which she cooks herself and serves hot to the table! There were several more food to choose from the counter. There is also some homemade cake and cookie available throughout the day.
We could not enjoy the outside grounds of the home because of bitter cold and snow.
Agnes and her husband are very friendly and their hospitality is peerless. She gladly provides valuable tips and advice on the things to see and do in the vicinity. Time-to-time, she would check on guests if they are feeling comfortable or need something else. Her presence creates a very homely atmosphere during one's stay.
I highly recommend this B&B and would love to stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly staff. Check in is a 3 but we had wedding and let us check in early. Gave lots information about the area and things to do. Can't wait to get back there to spend more time in Windham.
- Linda (10/5): Charming Little B&B - Adorable, homey, lovely place. Agnes is the best host around. She even made us crepes and belgian waffles for breakfast. Super friendly, comfortable and warm. If we are every in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to return.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quiet and pleasant
Good breakfast

- Amanda (10/5): - The owners were amazing! So helpful and friendly. They knew a lot about the area and guided us where to eat and hike. Amazing place to stay very clean and comfortable best place I’ve stayed in the Catskill area by far. We definitely will be going back next year.
- shing (10/5): - it's location is extremely convenient for our purpose. we planed a 4-day 3-night catskills vacation, mainly to hike and relax in the quiet natural environment that's close to little towns where we can find some restaurants to eat. mountain treasure b&b is perfect! 18 min drive to hunter mountain, and within 10 min drive to lovely nearby towns (e.g. tannersville & windham). it's also very close to kattersfalls and north-south lakes. our lovely hostess, agnes, is super warm and very knowledgeable about the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owner is wonderful and the waffles were great!

- Katie (10/5): Beautiful location, great hosts and breakfast! - We had a wonderful 4-night stay here. Beautiful location...easy to drive to various places to hike and see the fall leaves. Several restaurants in nearby small towns. We drove to Cooperstown (1 1/2 hours) one day to see the Baseball Hall of Fame. Another day we drove to Woodstock to see that cute town. Three delicious choices for made-to-order breakfast. Agnes is super friendly and helpful with things to do in the area and restaurant choices. We would definitely stay here again.
