Para finalizar decir que el hotel es algo antiguo pero a mí me valió, pero si te gusta el lujo este no es tu sitio.
• Andrea (8/5): Good stay in Rethymno - Good location at about 5 mins on foot from the beach — the town centre is a bit farther away, at approximately 15 mins. Breakfast was small but it had everything I needed. The staff are very welcoming! The room was not too soundproof.

• Laszlo (10/5): A family-run hotel at the best location possible - It was our third stay at Astali. I believe this is the best location in Rethymno. The old city and the beach is only a few minutes walking distance. The staff is absolutely kind, we always enjoy our stay. See you next year ;) The sewers are a problem in the city, they can be smelly, but this is not something that the hotel can control...

Very convenient location close to a beautiful stretch of the beach, the port and the old town - Lovely mother-son team running the hotel: friendly, helpful and efficient. Always there to answer your questions and offer advice - Excellent breakfast with Cretan/Greek specialties, fresh orange juice on top of your regular continental breakfast options. CONS: Not much to complain about. The washroom is a bit small and gets wet when you shower but that wasn't a big deal for us. Highly recommend Crete and this gem of a hotel

Petit déj correct mais rien de fou. La chambre était tres petite. Le rideau de douche qui colle aux f*sses en 2025 ca n'est plus autorisé... Pas de plaid ou couette, un drap plié : il faut faire le lit soit même. Vue sur une cour intérieure sans interêt. Ascenseur minuscule (1 personne)
• Iuliia (7/5): I would probably stay there again. - Good hotel. The location is excellent, not far from the sea and the old town. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast is generally good and without excess. I was especially pleased to find an iron in the room — a small detail, but very convenient. The only thing I really disliked was the shower curtain — it was a nightmare, always trying to stick to you. Apart from that, I have no complaints

• Iris Marina Dikefalou (8/5): Μια χαρά! Τέλειο σημείο. - Πολύ descent ως προς τη σχέση ποιότητας-τιμής. Είναι σε σούπερ κεντρικό σημείο οπότε μετράει πολύ. Έχει μπαλκονάκι και είναι καθαρά! Έχει επίσης καλό ίντερνετ. Οι καθαρίστριες όταν τους είπαμε αν μπορούν να έρθουν σε μία ώρα αντί για την ώρα που έπρεπε δέχτηκαν! Πολύ εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό γενικά, με γρατζούνησε μια γάτα και μου έφεραν οινόπνευμα, μπεταντίν και βαμβάκι! Δυστυχώς, οι πετσέτες είχαν μία περίεργη μυρωδιά.. Δε μύριζαν δηλαδή την κλασική καθαριότητα. Επιπλέον, η ηχομόνωση ήταν πολύ κακή... Ακούγαμε τις καθαρίστριες και δυσκολευόμασταν να κοιμηθούμε ή να συνεχίσουμε τον ύπνο μας... Επίσης, είναι πολύ μικρός ο χώρος - βέβαια αυτό το αναμέναμε από την περιγραφή, απλώς το αναφέρω. Επίσης, θέλαμε ένα δεύτερο στρώμα αλλά δεν είχαν - βέβαια ήμασταν σε διπλό κρεβάτι και είχαν ήδη ένα διπλό στρώμα, απλώς δεν ήμασταν ζευγάρι και προτιμούσαμε ο καθένας να έχει το στρώμα του. Κατά τ' άλλα πολύ κομπλέ!

Every morning the cleaning was done but it was done to such a standard that was literally Immaculate, hats off to the cleaners because this absolute gem is pristine. The breakfast was lovely and everything was so fresh. It has such a lovely, welcoming vibe and the two brothers are so very nice, polite and make you feel very welcome. All the family is lovely, always a hello and goodnight. Beds comfy, the location is ideal to explore the city and I will absolutely come back to this hotel

The location is great being close to the beach, and old town. Very friendly welcome from the family and staff which is so nice. Rooms and hotel spotlessly clean. Breakfast very good with plenty of choice and good quality produce. Also air conditioning that works well, which we were grateful for with the high temperatures that we experienced whilst there. Always enjoy our holidays here and hopefully will have more.

It’s a small hotel not crowded, very pleasant and quiet inside. The only downside is the traffic because the area is crowded with cars and motorcycles the whole night. We had a great balcony with a nice view. Everything is functional. I’d give it a 5/5

• Louisa (9/5): A really nice hotel, superbly located and with wonderful staff - made for a very relaxing holiday! - An absolute gem of a Hotel! Spot on location - 2 minutes from the beach, 3 minutes to a beautiful marina and maybe a 5-10 minute walk to the old town - depending on your speed of course. It was spotlessly clean and I'm quite picky. The staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful. Very simply decorated room but with everything you need - a mini fridge, hairdryer, even an iron and ironing board. If you forget your charger they have some you can borrow. There are mini safes but there is a charge for them - I didn't bother as I didn't feel the need. Breakfast was a standard continental Greek breakfast - fruit, meats, cheese, eggs and pastries etc. You can squeeze your own orange juice and the good thing is that they serve til 10.30 so you can have a lie in - you are on holiday after all. Great for solo travellers. Only one small negative, the shower - very small with just a curtain so water would go over the floor. I can see it's a space issue and I don't know if it's the same in all the rooms - it definitely wasn't a deal breaker and if I were ever to go back to Rethymnon I would stay here again!

We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel before check-in, go on a trip, and when we returned, our belongings were already waiting for us in the room. The staff was always helpful and attentive. The location is perfect – very close to the beach, the city center, and plenty of great restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Rethymno. The location of Astali Hotel is excellent, very close to the city center and the beach. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Perfect location, perfect price and a casual (which requires hard work) feel so that you can settle wherever you fancy. Whatever you want is provided without any fuss. Just perfect!

Great location, wonderful staff, as we understood this is a lovely family business and they aproached our visit with love and dedication. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming! The breakfast was great with decent variety! Our room was cute and small, but really clean at all times, and bed was comfortable, it even has a speaker with a few stations! There is a free parking right down the street at the right side of the port. We really enjoyed the stay and we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel! We might return, too!

The rooms are small but they are priced very well, comfortable, clean, well air conditioned and quiet. It's a very high budget standard and for a holiday where you don't spend much time in your room it's ideal.

Good conditions for the money and for a 3 stars hotel: confy beds, very good AC and wifi, elevator. Have to pay for the safe, 2 e/day. Pretty small bathroom, but ok for an economy room. Every day cleaning the room. Also, every day changing towels. Very close to the beach, around 200 m, and also close to the old center, about 500 m. The breakfast also good for a 3 stars hotel. I would go back for sure.
• Miriambergee (10/5): A good hotel experience - We stayed at Astali for 6 nights, and had a really nice stay! The staff at the hotel were so friendly and always willing to help when we had different questions. For example, they helped us planning trips to places around the island. The hotel is located close to the old town, and also the beach. You can walk to almost everything from the hotel. The bus station is also a 15 minutes walk away, if you want to explore some of the other villages and attractions nearby. The room had AC and a little fridge, which was nice in the heat. The cleaning was impeccable, for instance we got new towels every day. We would highly recommend this hotel in Rethymnon, and we would love to come back!

• Stephen (9/5): Great stay - Fabulous modern hotel in the old town. In a perfect position and close to everything. The rooms are a great size, bed very comfortable, bathroom spacious. The room was quiet and hotel stipulates "quiet" times which is great, didn't have people coming back at all hours slamming doors( which has occured in 2 other hotels in the islands) If we returned to chania we would most definitely stay here again Thanks for a great stay Nothing all wonderful

• Iulia (9/5): Excellent stay - Very nice hotel, walking distante from the beach, old town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Everything was very nice. The room was a little too small, even if I had a double room. Was not a big problem, but for two persons a larger room might be more suitable.
• ildikot821 (10/5): Perfect location in Rethymno! - The room we stayed in was a bit small, but it had comfortable beds. I was amazed by the cleanliness of the hotel. Our room was cleaned every day, and we also got fresh clean towels every single day! The bedsheets were changed also once. Now let's talk about the location. It is located between the old town and the beach, so you have everything close, you do not need to ride buses to get to the old town center nor to the beach. Everything is perfectly reachable by foot. There is a non-stop market across the road, a pharmacy, and coffee shops also.
• Mandy (7/5): Good no frills hotel - Good no frills hotel Near beach and short walk to old town. Clean You hear everything through walls very thin. Cleaners very noisy first thing on a morning in corridor. You wouldn’t be able to sleep in.

• Rhea (10/5): Easy to fin, a perfect location, you can walk to everything from here, clean, super lovely hotel staff, very comfortable - everything as described, perfect location for access to all what you might need during your time in Rethymno. we needed the be near to the port for our ferry and the 2 min walk was perfect! we also needed to leave before breakfast was being served and we were so blown away by being provided a surprise take away box of a sandwich, cakes and fruit to take with us in the morning. felt really taken care of by the hotel staff there, thank you so much! I hope other guests appreciate the Cretian hospitality.
• Trip (10/5): Great place, comfortable rooms, and an amazing location. Whenever I come back this where i’ll be staying. - The hotel is located minutes walk from most of anything you need, parking is easily found in the area of it, and there is someone always available at the reception desk should you ever need anything.
• Emmmiller (10/5): Great little hotel - We spent a great week at this nice family run hotel. We needed a central hotel as a base for our week as we mixing business and family holiday. Could not fault the hotel at all very clean, lovely breakfast and super friendly staff.
• Janice (10/5): Exceptional - It was an excellent location, staff were amazing and helpful, 2 min. walk to the beach, bus to main bus station right outside hotel entrance. Super clean, delicious breakfast with different things each day. The only little quibble I had was that I thought we were getting a large double bed but we got two twin beds. Not a big deal, and perhaps we got a better view from the balcony because of it! Great people, great place.

• 982michaelr (10/5): Hotel close to everything you will need - Astali hotel is in a great location just a minute's walk to the beach with shops and restaurants close by. The friendly staff make you feel very welcome and all speak good English. The rooms which have strong wi-fi signal and individual air conditioning are cleaned daily along with the towels and bed linen being changed and each room has a balcony. The floors can be accessed by lift so no need to walk up and down stairs. Breakfast which is served from 7.30 is continental with a good choice to please everyone and can be taken either inside or outside on the terrace bar area. The bus stop to travel west is right outside the hotel and due to the one-way road system, the bus stop to travel east is just one road up from Astali. I rate this hotel so highly that I stayed here in June and August this year.
• Michael (9/5): This was my second visit to Astali hotel which has everything you need within walking distance. - The hotel is in an excellent location just a minute's walk to the beach with plenty of shops and restaurants close by. The rooms are cleaned with bed linen and towels changed daily. There is a good choice at breakfast which starts at 7.30 each day. The staff are very friendly and talk very good English.
