- profaqua (10/5): Great stay, comfortable room, amazing view, very convenient location! - Everything was perfect! The room was very comfortable and had a full kitchen, which was much appreciated for a worker like me who likes to cook on site. The motel is ideally located in an incredible setting: right on the lake and surrounded by beautiful mountains — Wow! Plus, I was only a 15-minute walk from restaurants and cafés. And to top it off, you can park your car right in front of your room. I highly recommend this motel for a convenient and enjoyable stay in Penticton! The only thing I would mention is the lack of a recycling bin in the room. I placed my recycling next to the trash can on the floor. It was picked up, but I’m not sure it ended up in the proper recycling bins. It would be great to have a recycling option in the room.

- Barry (1/5): Bedbugs - Nothing. This is a terrible motel. BED BUGS BEWARE! We knew the vibes were off the second we opened the door to the room. Dusty surfaces, slapdash paint job all over, and mouldy smell. Upon checking the mattress we immediately identified signs of bedbugs and with no effort at all found live bugs in the bed (pics/video attached). After reporting to the person at the front desk that we found bed bugs they just offered us another room without even flinching (not an uncommon report I’m guessing). After checking the other room we found giant spider webs all over the dining table, and more evidence of bed bugs in the bed. We went back to the person on the front desk, and only when I said that we couldn’t stay here and that we wanted a refund did they get up and actually check on the rooms. After we showed them the issues with the rooms and again asked for a refund they declined and said they couldn’t give us a refund until the manager would be in the next day (so they’re operating without any management). They also refused to provide us any evidence of our complaint, or proof that we would not be using the room that night, or even offer to let us speak to a manager on the phone. The next day we called to speak with the manager and the same person said the manager hadn’t come in and we still couldn’t get a refund. We also noted that the outside of the motel looked quite run down and the area around was pretty sketchy. In the end we got a room at the HI Penticton (no bedbugs) and had to do a credit card chargeback on the Riverside Motel. Do not stay here unless you want to have a terrible time and bring bedbugs home with you.
- P. (9/5): Clean, comfortable, excellent value and close to the lake - what's not to like? - Very clean and quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the balcony overlooking the pool and the mountains was lovely for morning coffee. The location is great. Everything you'd need is a short walk away - restaurants, coffee shops, wine store, and the BEACH. There weren't enough cups, wine glasses and dishes in the kitchenette for 4 people in a 2-bed room. The chairs in the room were folding plastic banquet hall chairs.

- David (8/5): Nicely located clean motel - The motel is nicely situated within minutes of the lake. The room was clean. The only drawback with having a king size bed is that there is only one bedside table (a common occurrence where motels are trying to accommodate the king sized bed in rooms that were not built for them). Very minor quibble and not a deal breaker for sure. Could use a fan/extractor in bathroom and over stove. Overall a very pleasant stay.
- Natalie (2/5): - So not stay here. We had a terrible experience. We travel often and have modest expectations. We were arriving late and we were told we couldn't check in after 10 o'clock. The night that we arrived, we were going to be late so we called them and they said that it was no problem to check in late, so I'm not sure why they didn't tell us that before. On the last night of our stay, people were partying till 4 AM in the room beside us when I called the front desk and nobody answered because they don't have anyone working there after hours EVER. The next day, when I went down to complain, they argued with me about the fact that I never actually called them. They told me that I could talk to the manager the next day and that he would call me. He didn't. I waited four days and called back. They basically told me that they have no idea when the manager/owner will be in. I asked what their policy was regarding emergency situations and they didn't have an answer when I pressed for more information the front desk Clarke hung up on me. I called back four times and she refused to answer my phone call. This hotel is being run by a bunch of yahoo's. They have no management around to help them in the event of any situation that goes sideways. I would be scared to wonder what they would do in an emergency situation. The owner doesn't even care. The people at the front desk I think are sleeping in a back room. We watch them walk out barefoot so I don't think they follow stand hygiene.

The location is fantastic (though I wish there were sidewalks outside) with just a few minute walk to restaurants, coffee, and the beach. I’d definitely come here again. The only thing I didn’t like is that the room didn’t feel clean to my standards, but it might have just been because it was outdated. And this factor would not stop me from booking again.

Nothing fancy but a decent price and great location. The owners are kind and accommodating. I would love to come back in the summer, it would be a perfect vacation spot.

- Linda (8/5): - Room was large and clean. The floor has a definite slope! We thought it was us, after a long drive. Reception Staff was pleasant. Room had a full kitchen we didn’t mean to choose. Sliding door out the pool, but we didn’t use it.

The front desk clerk declined to address the discrepancy, which was disappointing since a fare adjustment is the minimum when a lower room category is provided. There were lots of outdoor seating options just outside the back door and around the pool. I was there for just one night but it would be perfect for a longer stay. The price was right for this time of year!

- Sarah (2/5): - I booked this motel because it seemed like a good deal, but it ended up being a waste of money. The property was extremely unclean, and the staff were unhelpful. When I tried to cancel just 10 minutes after booking, I was told by the motel that I could get a refund if I contacted Expedia. After spending over an hour with Expedia support, the motel changed their position and said the booking could be cancelled but with no refund. When I called back to clarify, staff hung up on me. I ultimately kept the reservation for my siblings, but when they arrived the room was so dirty that they didn’t want to stay either. This experience was frustrating, time-consuming, and disappointing. I would not recommend this property.

- Brian (6/5): - I liked the size of the room but utensils and dishes nothing matched good thing I bought my own stuff and the stove was old and didn't work properly.Zero sound proofing so really noisy. Patio around pool slab is lifting and I took a good fall. It has the bones and location if owners would spend the money and hire actual contractors. Truthfully if you want to party 24/7 it is fine, I didn't.
- Jenn (6/5): - Beds are terrible. Very walkable area to the coyote cruises, and to lake Okanagan. There's an amazing breakfast place that has delicious smoothie bowls and only a 5 min walk. There's a restaurant next door too. Pool was nice. Nice big room. Couch was gross and old. Clean.
- Dawn (2/5): - I didn't gwt to stay here because when i booked the site did not state that they were pet friendly or not and when i did some google search for reviews it turns out it was not which is twrrible cause our pets are like family and when i asked to be refunded because of this they wouldn't do it not even a partial refu d so to me that is like stealing. So no I do not recommend at all.

Overall great experience BUT the pans and utensils were very well loved and had metal / plastic bits coming off into my food when I cooked and the door handle was very hard to unlock. I was okay as I’m young and able bodied but anyone elderly would struggle greatly. Overall amazing hotel but just needs some minor low cost fixes to make it amazing!

Kitchen was well stocked and bbqs were great. Pool was nice. Very close to canal float entrance and the beach. It’s a Motel that Reflects the price but offers enough good qualities to make you want to come back. They could definitely improve on the cleanliness with some extra attention to detail.

No “ do not disturb “ sign..nice pool area with lots of seating and umbrellas, Room itself had comfortable beds, ugly dishes,cutlery and pots and pans,a very small OLD stove,no kettle,no ice or ice tray. Towels were very nice and bathrooms supplies were good. We did have a comfortable sleep but will it’s not likely we will ever stay here again..staff was polite but a bit hard to understand as they are a different nationality..

You’d be a lot better off anywhere else. Terrible. Gross shower. Horrid bed. Felt grossed out setting my bag down in the room. Grossly overpriced. Very rude staff to point where that alone ruins the stay.

- Jenn (8/5): Great girls weekend - Our fridge died on our first night. I told the front desk, and a new fridge was delivered and the old one removed within 30 mins!!! A full size! This blew me away
