Location of hotel is good and could get a Tuk Tuk into centre of Hoi An if you don’t want to walk. Pool was great addition. Breakfast was good choice with omelette station an added bonus. We did our laundry here ( very cheap) and it came back very quickly.

The hotel is clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with a peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed the moment you arrive. The staff truly make this place special—everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, from local recommendations to transportation arrangements. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with daily housekeeping that was done perfectly. The location is also excellent—quiet enough to rest well, yet close enough to the Old Town and major attractions to get around easily. Overall, Sunshine Hotel offers amazing value, genuine hospitality, and a truly welcoming experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hoi An.

- yotsmn (10/5): Nice, well located hotel - My wife and I have just spent 3 weeks at the Sunshine. It is one of our “go to” hotels each year when we holiday in Hoi An., being well priced and in a good location between the Old Town and beach. Both are a cheap Grab ride away, or can easily be reached using the hotels free bicycles - just make sure you pick a well maintained one, with functioning brakes. To walk to the old town takes about 15-20 mins. There are also some good restaurants in close proximity, as well as small convenience stores. Our Superior room was spacious, clean and well equipped, and had a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool itself is a really good size, clean, has plenty of lounges and umbrellas, and benefits from the afternoon shade. During our stay, occupancy levels were quite low and breakfast was understandably limited to a la carte on all but a couple of days. As we chose to have breakfasts at a nearby cafe this didn’t worry us. The only minor negative was the electronic safe in the room wasn’t working properly and we had to use a key, which was a bit fiddly. We also experienced a similar problem last year. Special thanks to Phuong, Yen and Chong at reception for making us feel so welcome once again. Hope to return next year.
- 377ailsab (8/5): For a 3 Star Hotel we had a great time - We stayed at Sunshine Hotel for 3 nights , staff were amazing and we really like the location. $3 in cab (20 minute walk) to downtown Hoi An and $6 in cab to the beach area. Use WhatsApp for the taxis that were clean , tidy and had air condition. Great coffee shop opposite (Bro Coffe) and also amazing Restaurant called Tin Tin. Rooms were clean tidy and did the job well. Pool area is really good

- robynbG6427RW (8/5): Fabulous Hoi An hotel - Family feel hotel with excellent breakfast and lovely pool. Convenient location with spas, banks, mini marts a short stroll away. Tin Tin restaurant across the road which is also great. We relaxed here and would recommend this hotel to anyone. We were well looked after by a very obliging staff. Yen, at the front desk is a real asset.
- Quest64654509801 (10/5): Sunshine Hotel in Hoi An is great value - Sunshine hotel is in a nice quiet location within easy walking distance of the Old Town and provide bicycles for 2k ride to the beach. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included too and was really good. Nice swimming pool at front of hotel is private. Reception staff are very helpful and have lots of good recommendations. Good restaurants are Tin Tin (virtually across the road) and Claypot around the corner.
- lhp5910 (10/5): Excellent Hotel - Loved our stay at this hotel.Rooms were large and clean.The air conditioning worked great.The ladies at front desk were amazing the set up our transportation from airport and laundry.The morning buffet had a wide variety of food to chose from including staff made eggs. The pool was beautiful and they had bikes you could use to get around.
- Passport240273 (10/5): Lovely - highly recommended - My partner and I adored this hotel, and wished we could have stayed longer. It's far enough away from the busy town centre of Hoi An to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet, which was much appreciated after the buzz of Hanoi. The room was spacious, clean, with a balcony overlooking the pool (though unfortunately it wasn't warm enough to swim). There are restaurants and cafes in easy reach, and it's also a short walk to the town centre, and a little further onto to Hanoi Old Town but all doable by foot, rickshaw or tuk tuk. Breakfast was plentiful, varied and delicious. There is also a massage and beauty therapist onsite, and a laundry service - all at very reasonable prices. The staff were amazing, they simply couldn't do enough for us.
- cheryljalaban (10/5): Amazing Staff - We spent three nights here in a large clean room with a balcony. The location was excellent with a beautician, laundry, restaurant, the best lantern making shop etc across the quiet street. It was like we were a part of the local community for a few days, with the children coming and going. Also all of the locals were friendly and offered great advice e.g. it is bad luck to buy one lantern, it has to be an even number. The ladies at the desk were exceptional and I feel terrible that I have forgotten their names, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. They went out of their way to help e.g when I was waiting across the street for the beautician but nobody seemed at home, one of the girls noticed and came over and found that she would be back in five minutes as she was buying school books. The son came out and gave me a seat and water. All the advice they gave us was spot on and they were honestly the best hotel staff on our entire Vietnam/Cambodia holiday.

- bethk355 (10/5): Would recommend - Stay here for 3 nights in August. Perfect stay. Staff were accommodating and very helpful; and all of them spoke excellent English. They helped us to plan out what to do in Hoi An and booked tours for us to make the most of out time there. There is also a lovely outdoor pool and indoor pool table to chill within the hotel. They also offer a free breakfast which has lots of choice available and a quick laundry service for 50,000 per KG which is reasonable. Would recommend and would definitely stay again

Our flight wasn’t until late in the evening and despite having to check out at 12pm we were allowed to use the bikes, pool, shower and towels which was really helpful :)
- ScubaB_10 (10/5): Lovely area to visit - I read about this hotel in my travel book, it more than lived up to my expectation. When we booked we were taking the train from Nha Trang so wouldn’t arrive in DaNang until midnight, which left us a 45 minute journey to Hoi An, the hotel arranged a car to pick us up, and despite the lateness someone was waiting to show us to our room. The hotel is perfectly placed 2km to the beach and a 15minute walk to the old town, they have free bikes which we used to go to the lovely beach, just remember to take money for the bike storage charge. Buffet style breakfast with additional choice of something cooked. The staff were very attentive and could not have been more helpful, we only stayed 2 nights, but this is definitely a place to stay longer.

- TeriGi (10/5): Excellent stay!! - Absolutely loved staying here! The room was very clean and fresh, it also had a bath which was great. The balcony overlooked the pool which was nice. The staff were very friendly and assisted with laundry, airport transfers and renting bikes for free each day. The hotel is a 15min walk from the centre but with the bikes takes 5 minutes. Would definitely recommend!
- 436noelleh (10/5): Amazing adorable hotel! - Absolutely loved this hotel, I stayed here for 5 nights and it was perfect, really great sized room that started to feel like home quite quickly. The ladies at the front desk were so sweet and helpful when it came to things to do in hoi an. Pool was very nice as well. 20 walk to old town which was an easy cute walk that I enjoyed. Quick grab bike ride to a gorgeous beach, it was also super nice to rent the free bicycles that the hotel provides and bike over to the beach in about 10 -15 minutes. Amazing experience also hoi an is my favorite place in Vietnam!

Front desk staff arranged flights, cars, and motorbikes for no extra cost. Would recommend Hoi An and the Sunshine Hotel!

They did also offer tour organisation and pick up. Everything was clean and breakfast was included. A swimming pool was also available (ca. 20m!). We were very happy to stay in Sunshine Hotel and would choose it again

Phuong and Yen were marvellous on reception and went out of their way to help us-hairdresser over the road, massage to the left and Tin Tin restaurant opposite-what more could one want! Breakfast was delicious and loved the balcony so we could watch the world go by ! Quiet street and friendly people-we’ll be back👍

I find it to be an excellent location as it is almost 1/2 way between the beach and the old town, both very easy to get to via a short bike ride. - brent (10/5): Awesome location, fantastic staff,food average - This hotel was fantastic, we loved it the staff were extremely helpful. The food was ordinary at best but everything else was perfect, we would definitely stay again. You are in Hoi An so eating at your hotel is not really the best option anyway. Highly recommended.
- Joshua (2/5): Deceitful staff - The staff at Sunshine Hotel take advantage of patrons. We saw it with others, and experienced it ourselves. Hotels are supposed to look out for guests. This one went so far as lying to double the cost of our bus ticket (paying the bus company half) so they could profit, as one example. Looking out for vendors trying to take advantage is one thing, but not being able to trust your hotel is very bad.

They provide free bicycles which is a nice way to get around town and to the beach. The free hourly shuttle into the old township is good too. I'd certainly stay again.
- Patrick (8/5): Beautiful hotel,food & staff. - I arrived in a beautiful hotel with great staff and super food.I got to my room.A great design.Lovely marble and wood decor that's well finished. I loved it until l got a funny smell. Damp.There was damp along the wall from the base of the bed.I drew attention to it,was eventually given another room and although smaller than the beautiful room l had initially it was still quality.I'd definitely return as I'm sure the problem will be dealt with.

- Robert (10/5): Hotel Excellent - Hotel was clean as were both the room and bathroom. Staff very friendly however limited English. A la Carte meals very inexpensive and quality of food excellent , chef came out at dinner and asked what we wanted to eat etc personal service was excellent. Only 1 ride to the beach a day could have had more service rides to the beach. Only gave complimentary tea in the room expected coffee etc. On the whole very good hotel and worth a visit. Lovely restaurants nearby and very inexpensive.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Awesome place - The Hotel was so comfortable and clean and although we didn't have great weather, the swimming pool was fantastic! The hotel staff would help with any concerns if asked and the free shuttle and bikes were wonderful when the legs had enough of walking.

Only complaint is they were doing construction and it started around 7:30AM. Waking up to a jackhammer isn't the best way to start a day.
- Katie (8/5): Clean, comfortable & enjoyable stay! - We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Rooms are quite big and clean although The beds are a little hard. Good location, the hotel offers free bicycle rental for you to get around. Close to markets and river. The restaurant onsite has delicious fair priced meals as well as buffet breakfast. Only bad thing was the hotel was under construction so it was very noisy during our stay.

- Sayuri (8/5): Excellent - I really recommend this hotel. By far, within Vietnam it has been the most friendly and accommodating place I have stayed. Lee, Tobias and all the staff members were very helpful when booking tours. They were honest about which companies not to go with and went over the top giving me great recommendations to try yummy street food and restaurants. ( They never pushed the most expensive tours, on the contrary they considered my budget and yet I great tours) For the price, the rooms were big, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good, they offered continental breakfast and Vietnamese food . Location wise, the hotel is near everything. If you like walking like me you won't be disappointed here.

- Ali (10/5): Great hotel - We really enjoyed this hotel. And actually booked another 3 nights their as we were having difficulties getting transport to move south in Vietnam due to Tet. We loved time location of the hotel it was about a 10 min walk to the old town one direction and a 5-10 minute bike ride to the beach. It was great that the hotel provided free bike rentals as well they did also have a free shuttle bus to town a few times a day. Room was big and nice we had upgraded to have the balcony. Really enjoyed being able to open then doors and get light in the room. Breakfast was more Asian style. Which is really hard to complain about when you are in Asia. But they did have an egg station and lots of fresh fruit.

Receptionists not friendly: no smile and only minimally helpful. Only one good meal on lunar new year's morning when a new chef appeared and cooked a beautiful meal. After that it was bad.

The shower was a nightmare to use, as it didn't like to stay at one temperature. It constantly flicked between warm, scalding and freezing. The bedsheets also came off the bed with the slightest movement which was another little annoyance, but other than that the hotel was good!

- Verified traveler (8/5): A nice, clean and relax hotel with great facility - We stay a night in this hotel to check out Hoi An activities in the evening with spectacular beautiful lantern decoration. We found this hotel very nice and very relax. The hotel is only 2, 3 year old. The buffet breakfast is delicious. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. There is 15 minutes walking distance from the hotel to the town. The hotel provides free transportation to town. We like the balcony and the pool facility of the hotel. The room is spacious.
- Lim (8/5): You Get Suhshine At Sunshine Hotel..Kudos - Had given the attic floor room with nice view of the surrounding and get to see the sun rise. Too bad we had stayed only one night and the beach is not far from the hotel. You could take taxi there and the seafood there were at reasonable price and importantly - delicious and fresh. Went for the breakfast but were quite disappointed as some of the food were not replenish and there was not food to eat.
- Megan (10/5): Free push bikes for hire + amazing pool. - This is a wonderful hotel, great price, free push bikes to hire, a good distance between Hoi An Center & the two main beaches. The hotel offers a free shuttle throughout the day to the Center of town with return trips + a shuttle to An Bang beach once daily. I would highly recommend it! Free buffet breakfast which is top quality. The restaurant across the road, TinTin's is also fantastic authentic Vietnamese food.
- Stew (10/5): Great hotel! - We had a fabulous stay. The hotel was great value for the price and included many extras-- free bikes, breakfast and a lovely pool. Staff was wonderful and very accommodating. At one point we had very low water pressure which they fixed within minutes! I also loved the location between central Hoi An and the beach. Would definitely return without hesitation

- David (10/5): Pool was just what I needed! - The pool is awesome. Breakfast was really good too. The pool is right across from the dining area which was super convienant. A quick bike ride to town but nice and quiet during the morning and at night while trying to relax. Definitely stay here again if I come back to Hoi An!

- Wayne (8/5): Outside of the old quarter, but worth it. - Great hotel. Very comfortable, in great condition with a fabulous pool. Hotel provides a free shuttle to town, but taxi is only 25,000d otherwise. Room was a generous size with a lovely rain head shower. Had to wait for hot water, but it was 37 degrees outside, so no real concern.
- Kyle (8/5): 4 days in the sunshine - We stayed 4 nights at the Sunshine. The staff were very friendly, and the security guards were so helpful. The breakfast is ok, egg station and plenty of fruit and bread as well as a few local choices. Location is a bit outside the old town, but the free bikes make up for it, great way to get around. They also have a free shuttle a few times a day. Nice pool, but could have better towels. Overall great for the price.

Free use of bikes to travel around this lovely little town lovely flat area so easy cycling. Can't falt this hotel or its location.
- Pavel (8/5): Good hotel, free bikes - A bit far from the old town, about 15-20 minutes walk. Nice and clean room, comfortable bed, pool looked good (didn't have time to use it). Breakfast was kind of average. They have bicycles you can use, which is quite nice - the traffic is light, so it is a pleasure to ride to town or to the beach. One issue - the AC blows directly over the bed, so if you don't want to get a cold you have to sweat all night. The staff were very nice and helpful, the taxi they organized to get us from the train station in Danang was reasonably priced.
- Verified traveler (6/5): It is what it is... - It was just ok. Uppermost in my mind are the flies in reception that kept buzzing around and the dead insects in the tray of breakfast cuttlery. The room was clean however and I'm grateful for that at least.
- Soraya (10/5): Nice hotel excellent value for money - The staff at the sunshine were very helpful and pleasant. The food was excellent. The breakfast buffet plentiful, fresh and tasty. The pool was very clean as was all communal areas. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the beach and the old town. It takes about 40 minutes for the beach and 25 to the old town. If you don't fancy the walk bicycles are provided free of charge. There is also a free shuttle bus service that runs from the hotel to the old town 4 times a day and to the beach once a day. A fabulous town with lots to see and do and the sunshine is a fabulous base to do it from. I would highly recommend this place. It is excellent value for money
- Eli (6/5): OK - Nice, clean hotel just 15 min walk from the city center. Helpful staff, excellent breakfast, nice pool area. The shower area is just next to the toilet with only a curtain in between. Towels were smelly.
- Cara (10/5): Great Stay in Hoi An - The hotel was very well-maintained with a beautiful pool and clean rooms. Breakfast was decent with a buffet that included fruit, Asian dishes, bread and omelets. It was about a 25 minute walk to town, but there was a free shuttle a few times a day that was very convenient. Plus a taxi only cost $1 to return. I would definitely return to this hotel!

- Steve (10/5): An Excellent Find - We were here for two weeks over Tet, and because of our longer stay they gave us a free upgrade without asking. The hotel is ca. 1 km from downtown Hoi An in a quiet, friendly neighbourhood with lots of little restaurants and corner stores. Hotel has a free shuttle downtown and to the beach, and has free bicycles available as well. Pool is great, breakfast very good, room was big and in very good condition, staff are friendly and helpful. Only downside was the the housekeeping was a bit indifferent, but not bad.

The restaurant in the hotel serves really good food and the complimentary breakfast was good as well. They also offer free bicycles which is great for getting around hoi an. - Han (6/5): quiet place as compared to town - Chamber maid need to supervise properly. After cleaning my room they didnt take away the dirty handtowel and give us new bath towel. Also no shower cap given in this hotel. The breakfast buffet is great. Serve variety of fruits. The lady make great sunny side eggs.

- Trevor (6/5): Lovely hotel, shame about the building work! - The hotel is excellent but for one thing, another hotel is being built next door and the corridors serving the rooms are being used by the builders for carrying materials to the upper floors of the site! Work does not start too early and finishes well before you go to bed, but hammering noises woke us on both mornings and that is far from ideal! Once the building work is complete, this will rate a gem of a hotel. Nice pool, wonderfully friendly staff, good breakfast (best so far on our tour of Vietnam) and comfortable room; but until that building work is complete, pack earplugs!
- LJ (10/5): more value for what you pay - Big thanks to Nga,Dinh and Phong, the receptionists. Always ready to help. Nothing is impossible. Nga did all our bookings for onward journey, cancelling our train trip and make new reservation on sleeping bus for sector Hue to Hanoi. Tour bookings became just a breeze. Very satisfied with room and the pool a welcoming sight from our balcony. Free bicycle and the shuttle service provided to city center just add to the fantastic service. We had most of our meals at the hotel restaurant, and there too the service provided by both ladywaiters were at the top. Its without hesitation that i would recommend Sunshine hotel while visiting Hoi An. To all the employees of Sunshine Hotel, keep the great service. You are doing a fantastic job.
- Pat (8/5): Nice Hotel - A wee secret paradise in Hoi Ann everything that you would wish for. Staff very pleasant and couldn't be more helpful. I found that my charging cable for my phone was faulty ,A staff member said that he would have it replaced within 30 minutes. great service Suggest you take advantage of the airport pick up service. 300-350 dong . They are there to meet you on way from hotel to airport we stopped off at the marble mountains for an hour and an extra 100 dong for the stopover. cheap as The hotel has courtesy pushbikes for use around the town.Awesome Suggest that you give these a go and head down to the beach, only 2 km away Oh and remember to bring some dong with you as you will need to pay security for your bike ( 10 dong) and to use the beach chairs at the beach. In fact take money wherever you go beach is fantastic. great little hotel with its own restaurant and lovely pool quiet
