Guest Reviews
- Will (10/5): - Perfect little hotel in the heart of playa del Carmen. Really appreciated the complimentary coffee and water at reception.
- Elin (10/5): Calm Oasis in PDC! - I stayed at Casa de Las Flores for 2 nights before joining a group tour in PDC. My room, #28 was simple but spacious, had a small kitchenette and a much needed AC & fan system.
This hotel is a calm oasis set behind the main tourist strip of PDC. Though only a 2 minute walk from 5th Ave, it feels a million miles away. The small pool is perfect for cooling off after a day exploring and the shaded garden is a nice spot to relax in. There are coffees and filtered water available at reception which was ideal. What really makes this place great, though, is the staff. Jesus was ready with a warm welcome when I arrived tired and later than expected, and kindly let me use the pool & shower facilities after I’d checked out. If you want a chilled stay away from the resorts, definitely consider Casa de las Flores for your time here.
Tips: there is a nice coffee spot just around the corner, Kafi Playa.
- Donna (10/5): Quaint and perfect!! - This hotel is a gem! The staff are amazing and so happy to make our vacation just what we wanted and needed. They truly made this our home away from home especially Alberto. This was our third time staying here and will definitely be back. It’s a great location near many restaurants. It’s super quiet. Very clean and would definitely recommend.
- Lynne (10/5): Pretty property - Friendly, clean, and picturesque.
- June (10/5): Paradise - From the first minute we saw the entrance we knew this was perfect. A true México experience. Colors, gardens and staff. Everyone so polite and friendly. Quiet a refreshing home away from home.
- Carolyn (6/5): - Close to tourist stuff
- ANA (10/5): - Casa De Las Flores is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Playa del Carmen. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed into a beautifully designed space that feels both authentic and serene. The facility is aesthetically stunning, with lush gardens, vibrant local touches, and an atmosphere that invites you to relax and unwind.
The bedrooms are incredibly comfortable—clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged for a restful stay. What really sets this hotel apart, though, is the staff. Every single person we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful place to stay in Playa del Carmen with amazing service, Casa De Las Flores is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

- Blaine (10/5): - Great!
- Hannah Jay (10/5): - Super nice staff and clean
- Stephanie (10/5): - Clean and spacious room. The hotel is small but beautiful! The hotel has a mexican touch regarding decoration.
Easy to move around downtown/5th avenue.
Definitely coming back to this hotel!
Being honest, a little bit of noise from bars around the area but not that loud.
You get what you see on photos!
- Irina (10/5): - Cute, rustic and full of good landscaping. Nice pool. Friendly staff and it's walking distance to 5th Ave restaurants.
- Ayan (10/5): - Excellent value for money hotel with great staff! Location is really convenient and there are some nice restaurants in the area. Staff are incredibly polite and helpful. The hotel looks very pretty as well with the Frida mural infront of the pool. Pool was very clean and open until very late
- Lendy (10/5): - This is a wonderful property! The location is perfect: close to both ADO stations, very walkable to many restaurants, the beach and the main square. The staff is amazing! Very helpful, friendly and TRUSTWORTHY!!! You have a very honest and welcoming staff. The pool is perfect, the rooms were very clean and the grounds were beautiful! We will definitely be back! Thank you Hotel Casa de Las Flores!
- Isabelle (10/5): - Beautiful place, very nice staff and great location! We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The courtyard is beautiful. We enjoyed that everything was at walkable distance. We also appreciated recommendations for local restaurants.
- Kenneth Oconnell (10/5): - place is exceptional. Very noisy; you can hear everything outside, and people have full conversations in the common areas at 4am etc. Jesus is the key to this place; he is exceptional. Was VIP expedia hotel but no wine was presented as listed. Most hotels that are Expedia Vip hotels don’t even know they are. Other than that - a ton of people in and out/ more so than any other place i stayed at. Would come back. ideal location
- Cynthia (10/5): - Love this hotel -- the colors, tropical gardens, great staff, large comfortable rooms, pool, location and the overall vibe! This is the second time we stayed at Las Flores...We would definitely come back again and again when visiting Playa del Carmen!
- Francisco (10/5): Beautiful place for a great stay - Beautiful place. Excelent location.
Look forward to return soon.
- Cynthia (10/5): - We loved this property! The architecture is beautiful, the colors amazing! The room was spacious, comfortable, great linens and towels, plenty of hot water, even a bidet! It was great to have a refrigerator for leftovers, too! Completely walkable and convenient to everything! Thank you for the wonderful stay! ❤️
- Jose Fernando (10/5): - Great place friendly people. Would come back again.
- Lorena (10/5): - Great place , will stay here again.
- Taylor (10/5): - We stayed for one night. Wr arrived late, check in was easy. Room was clean and spacious. The property was beautiful. Beds are are on the hard side. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice. We would stay again.
- Patricia (10/5): - It’s certainly the most quiet hotel in downtown Playa, just a few blocks from the beach. Extremely clean and very well maintained. Staff is kind and responsive. Love the authentic Mexican decor.
- RockingTravelQueen (2/5): Loud techo club next door. - Loud techo music next door made it stressfilled and not relaxing. It rattled through the room. This hotel is right next to one of the loudest clubs way off 5th avenue. Its not just regular music. Its full blown loud raging techno monotonous booming base. The worst kind of club music. It will drive you crazy. I regret booking this place. It ruined my vacation.
- Delia (10/5): - Beautiful hotel, great service. Close to the beach and quite at night. Would definitely come back
- Luis (10/5): Don’t pass this place up - I had a great experience staying here. Staff is very friendly. The pictures the hotel has up doesn’t do this place justice. I would definitely stay here again.
- Fay (10/5): - This is such a gem. The cost is so low that it is misleading. Quaint, clean and friendly staff. Area is real local and everyone was super friendly. Felt safe and welcomed. Many food vendors and restaurants on the street. 3 blocks to 5th Ave. Perfect Distance from the noise of 5th. Will recommend to friends.
- Barbara (10/5): - Really enjoyed my stay here! And would definitely come back. The staff are very nice and friendly. It’s also a great location, close to amazing restaurants and the main boardwalk.
- Samantha (10/5): Pretty hotel - Lovely quiet courtyard away from the loudness of Playa but still close to the beach and 5th. Friendly staff, free water refills and nice pool. Loved the decor.
- Melissa (10/5): Stay here when in Play Del Carmen! - The hotel manager was so sweet and the location was beautiful. Highly recommend!
- Aimad (4/5): - The pool was nice
- Greg (10/5): - I stayed in room 21. Had fast internet and hot water. The place is beautiful. Only thing is the beds and pillows were firm. I like soft.
- Poushali (8/5): - We stayed one night at the Hotel Casa Del Flores. It was quiet and peaceful for it being so close to the 5th Avenue in Playa Del Carmen. Everything is within 2 blocks of walking including the ADO bus stop and the ferry to Cozumel.
The staff are friendly and easy to communicate with. The property is well maintained and clean. There is a cute swimming pool and the decor is done in Mexican style. Rooms are spacious and we felt beds were comfortable and AC was cool. Although there was a short power outage during our stay, the staff were on it immediately trying to fix it.
We will recommend this hotel to folks who want a quiet stay with family but close to everything within a budget.
- Carmen (8/5): - The city center is not far even though this location is considered the outskirt of Valladolid. Great staff!
- Casey (10/5): - I am very pleased with the service at this beautiful hotel. The hotel really makes you feel like you are in Mexico.
Comfortable and beautiful property!
I Would definitely go back
- ALICIA (10/5): - Very friendly people running the business. Welcome and cozy atmosphere. Clean
And well maintained facilities. Balanced, welll presented, and tasty breakfast.
- Nuvtej (10/5): - I loved everything about my stay here. The room was more than expected. The customer service was excellent. I would definitely come back
- Alessandra (8/5): - Great place and convenient but definitely need more than a bed sheet to sleep.
- Natalia (8/5): Great location for price - Staff was available 24/7. Very friendly. Building is a bit older but very clean. Comfortable bed. Working AC. Water pressure in shower was good. Safety box works well. Felt safe. Had issue with batbroom smelling and staff took care of it right away. Would stay here again esp given price and location.
- Samara (10/5): Love it - Our favourite hotel from our whole Mexico trip. Staff are so lovely and the perfect location. Can’t wait to come back
- Nashi (8/5): - There is construction happening around the property so it can be a little noisy but other than that the property was nice. The beds and pillows were comfy and the front desk was very helpful.
- Rosalva (4/5): - I think all the reviews I read are from people getting paid because other than it being clean. And a pool to refresh. There is nothing good about the hotel. The lobby guy was rude. The bed is like a rock. Don’t stay here. Take your money somewhere else. Oh yeah they next door neighbor has construction so don’t think will be sleeping in or resting you can hear everything from other rooms. And they start very early in the construction.
- David (10/5): - The best service! Room was large with king bed. Microwave and small fridge with electric skillet to cook in. Shower was ok, but plenty of hot water. Pool was nice. Not far from beach and Fifth Ave.
- Abel (10/5): - the place is beautiful and their service is excellent.
- Jorget C (10/5): - We liked most everyone and everything
The only thing that needs improvement is the doors to the rooms
- Joanna (10/5): Fantastic little hotel - Fantastic little hotel with a Mexican flare. Comfortable bed, great pool. Close to the beach, 5-7 minutes walk. Close to the busy 5th avenue but far enough to have a peace and quite. Fantastic staff and service. We will be back.
- Olivia (8/5): - Beautiful location. Super friendly staff. Due to travel problems we had to stay another night, but didn’t want to stay in the resort. So we found this beautiful spot. Not too far from beach, amazing bar and restaurant next door. It was just an overall cool experience
- Michael (10/5): - Friendly professional staff. Beautiful architecture. an oasis in the city.
- Michael (10/5): - Friendly professional staff - beautiful hotel
- Ron (8/5): - Unique Mexico hotel. Made us feel that we were truly in old Mexico. Great charm and jungle atmosphere in the heart of the city. Walking distance to just about anything.
- Aida (10/5): - I like everything people hotel it’s very clean very convenient to go anywhere to the beach shopping bar just beautiful
- Dave (8/5): - Nice funky vibe to the place. Seemed a bit lacking in some basics. Otherwise was great.
- Diana (8/5): - Near beach
- Junnuette (10/5): - La propiedad esta en muy buen estado. Las habitaciones son amplias y comodas. Tiene un TV Plasma y neverita, conveniente. Esta a 3 bloques de la calle principal de Playa del Carmen.
- Alan (10/5): - Beautiful and quiet.
- Gordon (10/5): Excellent location, friendly staff, Safe, clean - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Location is 500m from the beach and 5th Avenue, so walking distance to the main attraction and away from the night time noise of the clubs on 5th. It's also close to very reasonably priced restaurants on 15th and calle 4. Pool is excellent and staff are very friendly and helpful. Room has a safe and air conditioning. Highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Walking distance from the airport bus station, restaurants, bars. Wifi in the rooms and pool area, a safe box in the room. Very happy with place and price
- John (8/5): Good Value Budget Hotel - Good value hotel for those prepared to be a 10 minute walk from Quinta Avenida. Decent internet signal in the room which is more than can be said for many more expensive places closer to Quinta Avenida. Friendly helpful saff. Good value just don't expect Hilton stanards at this rate.
- VERONICA (10/5): EE LOVE THIS HOTEL!!!! - It was great!! The staff increíble nice , they help us all the time !!! I will visit this hotel next time!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location and staff. Boutique type hotel. Shower a bit small bit other than that excellent
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property is beautiful however I didn't feel comfortable when I found several loose hairs in the bathroom and the bed. When I asked that the room be cleaned while I was out I was assured that it would be, but when I returned the hairs in the bathroom were in the exact same place proving that nothing had been wiped down. Sadly as peaceful as pretty as the property is I wouldn't stay here again during the time of Covid .
- Pats69 (4/5): - Rooms are just too simple and low quality, more than minimalist it feels poor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Classic colorful hotel - Lovely colorful boutique hotel, in a great location, convenient to La Quinta and beach, but also just off the tourist track so lots of local restaurants and shops, much better prices than in the tourist area.
The hotel had a great promo price. My room was spacious. Good Wifi. Good AC. Good water pressure. The bed was comfortable. The people working there were friendly and helpful.
Some construction behind the building during my stay started at 8am, but wasn't too loud. Otherwise it was a very comfortable room. I ended up extending my stay.
- Jody (8/5): lots of plants, not many flowers - During my 6 night stay, I changed rooms after the first night, because my door didn't close properly and had a large open gap. Also on 2 occasions I was given sheets with small stains on them. Very good location.
Close to everything, but not noisy.
- Rambart (10/5): Cute Mexican Hotel - Really cute and Mexican style hotel a few blocks away from la Quinta Avenida and the beach.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Staff very friendly and caring.
Didn’t like only 4 parking spots and you have to pay to park at the street if it is full. They charge 150mxm if your towel get a stain when the laundry across the street charge you 180mxm for all your clothes. The rooms sometimes have bad smell like drain that comes from the sink and shower.
- Liza (10/5): - Super location close to the beach and Quinta Avenida cousin hotel very clean everything liked
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The patio and the pool are nice, the air conditioner is ok, the water pressure is regular, when we arrived we didn’t have enough towels, there was no mini fridge as advertised, we had to wait for the staff to bring one, same with the hair dryer, and the tv is not 40 inches as advertised, is is way smaller. But the staff is kind and try to solve our needs. The place is conveniently located, close to the ADO station and the ferry, and with a lot of nearby places to eat.
- Leonel (10/5): - Very nice settings, feels like home and cozy rooms
Staff are concerned with your enjoyment and very friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good central location, short walk to central beach, and pedestrian zone, spacious room, friendly staff, swimming pool tiny
- Bruce (8/5): - A very cute family run hotel. Freshly painted with gorgeous colors. Nice small pool. Nice courtyard with plenty of trees.
Great location for walking around town.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Breakfast was advertised as being included in the price but there was no breakfast, just coffee and a small slice of cake.
- John (8/5): 2nd times a charm - You can't beat the price and location! It is clean, quiet and beautiful. The beds are firm and the pillows could be a little softer! The staff speaks English, but not fluently. Breakfast is included, but is minimal and we weren't offered the daily water as indicated on the site. It appears they could be under new management as there was workers there in a few rooms, but they were extremely good about not working in the evenings and early mornings when guests were about. This was our second stay at this hotel and we will be back.
- Marisa (2/5): - When I arrived at 10:30 at night ALONE, the property was PADLOCKED and closed for renovations. I had to find another property to stay at that night. Now the hotel is disputing my refund??? Absolutely ridiculous.
- Zisis (8/5): - Beautiful little hotel in the center of everything. Staff is crazy friendly. 24 hour reception. Not loud at night, which is great. The rooms are a bit outdated and could use a deep clean, to be honest. Other than that, this was our second time here and really enjoyed the stay. We stayed in room 8, room 22 the first time.
- jaime (10/5): A great stay. - The service was great, I couldn't have asked for a better service from the stuff, they gave 110%. My respect to the stuff.
- Dmitry (10/5): Close to night life - The hotel is just 3 blocks away from the night life. It makes it ideal for a family vacation. Close enough, but not too loud. The only problem was with limited parking in front of the hotel - just four cars, but there were spots on the block available.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property is definitely dated but for the price you'd be hard pressed to fine a better value in Playa Del Carmen.
- Stephan (10/5): - Wonderful and quiet property, spacious rooms, very helpful and friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Rooms kept clean but hallways and stairs were not done
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I REALLY LIKED THE MURAL OF FRIDA!!!! AND THE FACT THAT THERE WAS A TIKI BAR NEXT DOOR TO HOTEL.
- B241 (8/5): - We didn't upgrade to a newer room so just be aware the lowest price rooms are older and a tad run down. Bathrooms are tiny. With that being said, for the price we were comfortable and satisfied with our stay. The a/c worked and the room was quiet. We spent very little time in our room anyway.
- Denise (10/5): - I like that the staff was very friendly and helpful, also the breakfast include fresh fruit, i really loved the variety of the fruit.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Decent but maintenance issues. - Decent place but had some maintenance problems with the room (door wouldn't open!) which the helpful staff immediately addressed. Breakfast not included but one morning's given complimentary by staff at check in. Pool didn't look very clean so didn't use.
- Martins (8/5): - location very good , staff was very helpful ,
The pool was always cloudy needed to be cleaned
breakfast was good
- Grace (6/5): - The breakfast was a big disappointment , no place to seat and enjoy the food, no ac in the eating room
- Nickoleta (10/5): - First of all, this place is utterly charming. It's decorated in bright colors and much of the decor is hand-painted. Everyone on staff is warm and friendly and very helpful. I don't know what cleaning products they use, but my room and the beach towels I used all smelled amazing. My room and bathroom were cleaned every day and the air conditioner and ceiling fan were in great condition, keeping everything cool. The garden area is cute and the pool area is adorable. The pool is somewhat small, but it never got crowded during my stay, so the size was fine. The location is perfect--close enough to all the action of 5 Avenida but not right in the middle of the tourist crowds. Lots of great (and cheap!) spots for food within a 5 minute walk--the torta de pastor at Tortas del Carmen on the next block was so good I literally cried. The colectivo vans to Tulum are only a block away and will take you there for 40 pesos. If you prefer the resort life, this probably isn't for you--but if you want a charming, unique home away from home while you explore the neighborhood, Hotel Casa de las Flores is perfect. I would definitely book again if I come back to PDC.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lots of character, fantastic location, helpful staff x
- Viviane (2/5): Don't stay here! Filthy! - The room was filthy. There was a sewer smell coming from the bathroom. Black mold in the shower. the entire bathroom floor got wet when we took a shower because of the shabby shower curtains. The toilet did not flush properly. The ceiling fan blades were full of thick dust, we noticed this when we turned on the fan as it flew all over the room. The beds were in bad condition...tears in the box spring. The people running this hotel need to teach their staff how to clean properly..the room smelled like dirty mop water. We had booked for 3 nights and ended up checking out after the first night. We didnt even want to brush our teeth in this place, it was so disgusting.
- ALEJANDRO (6/5): - Rooms really need some restructuring, specially baths. Toilet paper cant be discordes ni wx :-(
- rick (10/5): - awe loved it, it was very quaint.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location quiet place Housekeeping cleaned room daily Enjoyed the continental breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Close to the center but away from the nighttime noise.
- Diego (8/5): Four blocks from the beach - This was our second time staying at this hotel and our experience was great. The staff is always super friendly and the location is perfect.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and happy, bright and quiet. I wanted something off the main drag but still close to the mix. Hotel Casa de las flores was the perfect fit.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I liked that this property was within walking distance to many places. The decor and paintings are also very nice and unique, giving it a very homely and authentic feel. Pool is small, but also a nice design.
Very disappointing that there are no washcloths available, nor do they provide any at the lobby, they straight up say no, very carefree about anything you would need for the room. No irons either. Horrible shower design, all the water seeps out into the bathroom area so you never get dry, you're always stepping on a wet floor! They only give a small towel type mat which also gets soaked and they do not change it to a dry one the next day either. You would have to use the same soaked mat. Other than that room is okay for a 3 star property.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We love this little hotel. The staff is great.
The toilet doesn’t always work and there no hair dryer but It’s clean and has a lovely vibe. Great local restaurants (cheap) and you can drop off clothes to be washed across the street . Very convenient.
- Louis (8/5): - Service was great. WiFi signal was bad.
- Amit (10/5): Great place, nice pool, clean place - I am a solo raeler that usually stays on hostel so a simple cute hotel like this was a treat for me. This is not a 5 star luxury hotel but if you are looking for a clean nice place with a nice pool and in a good location this is the place.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice little place, it has everything you need. Nice staff, ready to help you out. Few blocks away from the Fifth Ave.
