Deux petites serviettes et seulement une grande c'est un peu juste pour deux personnes. Absence de tapis de bain.

The shuttle service to and from the airport/train station was amazing and we used it often. The air-conditioning was very warm which along with the thick donna made sleeping very uncomfortable. We would have liked to have tea making facilities in our rooms. More pillows and tissues would have been nice.

To the Management of Bastion Amsterdam Airport Hotel,
I by am writing this formal letter to express my absolute outrage and profound disappointment regarding our stay at your hotel from 30 April to 03 May 2026. Despite paying a premium rate of around 200 € per night, the condition of our room was not only unacceptable but posed a serious risk to human health.
Upon arrival, we discovered stomach-churning evidence of a total lack of hygiene management:
My blanket was stained with semen.
My brother’s bed sheets were stained with blood.
These findings are irrefutable evidence that the bedding had not been laundered or changed prior to our arrival. Such negligence is a severe violation of basic sanitary standards and a blatant disregard for the health and safety of your guests.
Please find the photographic evidence attached to this email.
Given the hazardous and traumatic nature of this experience, I demand a full refund of the total amount paid for this stay. Please be advised that I am not treating this as a simple service issue; I am escalating this matter to the following authorities:
The European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net)for violation of EU consumer rights and safety standards.
The Luxembourg Consumers Union (ULC).
Booking.com’s formal dispute and safety department.
I expect a confirmation of my refund and a formal explanation within [48 hours]. Should you fail to respond, I will proceed with legal action through the aforementioned consumer protection organizations and publish these findings on all major travel review platforms to warn other travelers.
I look forward to your immediate response.

- Linda (9/5): Very pleasant - We loved the hotel shuttle service to the airport. We loved being within walking distance to Mac Donald’s. We enjoyed huge bed. We arrived in morning and thankful a room was ready for us to check in to. My iPad did not get Wi-Fi in our room the last day so I had to go to lobby to get reception.

- Barton (10/5): - Excellent location, very pleasant staff. Super quiet room despite being close to the airport. Could be a touch cleaner around the fridge area and couple more coffees and tea on the room would be handy rather than asking at the reception.
Otherwise all was good.
- Omer (8/5): - The short distance from the airport makes it a good candidate for an overnight layover. The room is spacious and clean. There is no early check-in, so if you land early in the morning after a long haul you won't be able to rest until 15:00.
It was not possible to completely darken the room - the curtains are not fully opaque. Again, difficult to rest after a long haul, especially when you are jet lagged.
Also, there are very few amenities in the room, e.g., no air conditioner.
I think it's a nice hotel, but not entirely fit for a connection layover, and in that case there might be other hotels nearby (or a bit closer to the city) that might offer better deals.

Geras dalykas viešbučio autobusas į Šipolį ir atgal. Kažkodėl 4 žvaigždučių viešbutyje per trijų parų viešnagę į mano numerį jokia valytoja neįkėlė kojos - jokio valymo ar bent šiukšlių išnešimo. The shuttle service to the airport was a positive. All was fine.
- Samet (5/5): so so - destination, free parking, shuttle bus Hoping to start our holiday happily with our children, we checked into the hotel in the evening. The gentleman at the reception during check-in was very kind and helpful.
Later, when we entered our room, we noticed that although the reservation was made for 2 adults and 1 child, there were only 2 pillows available. Around 11:00 PM on April 30, we informed another lady at the reception about the situation.
Unfortunately, her attitude was rude, unkind, and far from professional customer service standards. She told us in a scolding and irritated tone that the hotel was fully booked and that if “100 people asked for pillows,” it would not be possible to meet all requests. What was even more disappointing was that the situation was made to seem as though it was somehow our problem. If the hotel genuinely does not have enough pillows, that is already quite surprising; however, if pillows are in fact available, then creating such an unnecessary argument makes the situation even more absurd.
In addition, muttering to herself in another language afterward was not only impolite but also highly unprofessional.
I calmly explained that I had made a reservation for 3 people, which is why we needed an additional pillow. However, despite this, she raised her voice and continued behaving rudely before eventually saying that she would check the matter.
To avoid another unpleasant face-to-face interaction with her, we chose to accept sleeping with only 2 pillows for 3 people.
I believe she requires training not only in customer relations but also in interpersonal communication skills. I trust that a well-established hotel group like Bastion will take the necessary action regarding this matter. because of her, score is reduced.
- Koustubh (7/5): Great location, rooms and amenities are average to okay. - The location is very close to the airport as the name of the hotel says. The rooms were clean and tidy. The airport to and fro shuttles were extremely convenient to reach to Amsterdam center. The AC wasn’t working for an entire night at it got warm ans humid. It just wasnt only our room, there were a few other guests who had the same complaint. Had to keep the windows open which led to disturbed sleep due to planes taking off and landing all the time.
The room was changed the next day by the hotel staff, where the AC was working though, but it still centrally controlled hence wasn’t cooling enough.

- wesley (8/5): overnight stay for early flight - the shuttle bus is large and is regular rom Schiphol. Checking in online before made getting the door card easy and quick. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was good quality and bathroom was big the bar area is a bit in need of an refresh. but was just staying overnight for an early flight so nothing really to complain about.

- Jose (8/5): - Goede kamer met mooie badkamer. Lekker eten en borrelen in het restaurant. Goede shuttle bus die je van en naar Schiphol brengt. Badkamer was een wastafel verstopt.
Kamer van onze vrienden werkte de airco helaas niet.

Ze hadden bevestigd dat deze klaar zou staan. Eenmaal op onze kamer bleek dit niet zo te zijn dus dit hadden we wederom aangegeven bij de receptie. Daarna hadden ze een baby bedje neer gezet maar deze moesten we zelf opmaken en ook kregen we hier geen bed overtrek bij. Verder vonden we onze kamer naar rook van sigaretten ruiken.

I had to go up to staff again to ask status of the request. Very surprising behavior as to having no concern regarding a guest waiting in lobby past midnight for a blanket requests and staff is too busy to let the guest know.
