• Salvo (5/5): Great staff, but the hotel itself is bad - Staff was very very friendly, and quick to solve any issue - Weird smell in the room, and coming out of the A/C. It made me dizzy after a while. It disappeared after opening the window for a few hours - General lack of cleanliness, stained carpets (remove them, get rid of carpet!), one of the towels had a brown stain, black spots in the bathroom - Old worn out furniture - Broken things...the door wasn't closing the 1st time I left the room, the fan inside the bathroom didn't stop even when I was pressing the button to stop. They sorted both eventually...but it shows how outdated this hotel is. The safe also didn't work. Not that I needed it, but... - Lack of sound insulation...I didn't sleep very well due to the noise from the main street below In my opinion... - The hotel needs major renovation - It's not worth the rate asked or the 3 stars (more like 1)

• Catherine (9/5): Great stay - The complementary breakfast and laundry was great to have. Staff were exceptionally nice and attentive. We stayed over New Years Eve and the hotel left a gift after our room was cleaned, which was very cute and unexpected. The room had a mild smoky smell despite not being a smoking room - may have been due to the previous guest doing the wrong thing as we found a used cigarette on the window sill.

• Gregor (5/5): Passable - Great location and very nice and helpful staff. Comfortable beds. The breakfast is not in the hotel. We got vouchers to McDonald's! It was terrible. When I asked whether we could cancel the breakfast all together and just get the money back, they said that its not possible. And the cleaning was not done properly.

• Matthew (8/5): - Good location if you need to be in Banqiao. Helpful and attentive staff. Room is small but well-appointed. Only issue we had was everything seemed to be broken when we got there - our room key didn't work, lights didn't turn on/off, safe didn't lock etc. - however, when we called down, the front desk was quick to act. Seemed like everything needed a new battery or a quick fix... once they did, the stay was very comfortable and enjoyable.
• Lu (10/5): CP值高的市區旅店 - CP值很高，離公車站很近，交通方便。櫃檯服務人員服務很好，很快解決房間內電視遙控器的問題。可惜的是雖然訂的是禁菸房，但是一開門的煙味相當明顯，希望清潔整理可以加強煙味去除這部分。早餐可以選麥當勞早餐，覺得不錯。

• Pure_Fin (8/5): All you need to know from color hotel - Read all the reviews that said it was good but beware and have to say they have upgraded their service compared what people commented before. Stayed two occasions and both of the time had spacious room with nice shower + Japanese style automatic toilet. WiFi: worked very well on my room, but reception it’s was not so good. Food: they offer you a choose of breakfast either McDonald’s breakfast (open from 6:00) ( that is next to the hotel) or another western restaurant (open from 7:30) They have another space next door to you to enjoy your breakfast or read a book. Tea & coffee: free from the reception. Washing: they offer complimentary washing and drying. Prostitution: there where non. Very close to MR station. Overall: ok location and ok service. More like home stay in but clean

• Wong (8/5): Spacious room - Everything about the hotel is great, value for money especially the room quality. Except that it's difficult to find food around the area, so expect to travel out for meals.

• wenbin (4/5): - 房間有意見表可換小禮物因為是續住的關西又在要一份人員說不合理再加上一直說不能抽菸雖然網路上有說禁菸說抽菸要收1000清潔費!都是在徹所抽!怎可能飄出去當下於是取消之後六晚的住宿總住8天 也不知道收清潔費有沒開發票!於是就浪費了2000多取消訂房我也開心!!原本好心情被打壞!!如果要收清潔費可在網路上告知!有無開發票!!不然對於已訂房的一點也不公平!取消又花了1晚的錢!!!
• Starmoon7 (8/5): Nice Little Hotel in Taipei - This is a boutique hotel in Banqiao district, just 2 MRT stations from Ximen. The room we had was spacious with space for 2 large luggages. The hotel is next to MacDonald and daily breakfast included is MacDonald muffin + drink delivered to your room. This is handy but boring after a few morning. The room was clean and free from smoking and hotel staff is courteous and helpful. Free wifi was available but was very slow in our room and break numerous times.
• Starmoon7 (8/5): Boutique Hotel in Taipei - The hotel room was clean and pleasant. The hotel staff is courteous and helpful. We asked for a non-smoking room and was surprised there was no cigarette odour in the room which is a rare occurence nowadays even with 4 & 5 stars hotels. MacDonald breakfast was served every morning which can be boring after we had stayed for 6 nights in the hotel. MRT station is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. We stayed in room 505 which is the room facing the main road which can be noisy at night. Prefer rooms are those at the back.

Clean and tidy though the hotel is small in size. Housekeeping is very efficient. Any issues/ requests to be deal with in 1 to 2 mins.
• Verified traveler (8/5): 一個可以放鬆休息的地方 - 帶著小小孩的我，本來緊張附近找不到吃的地方，但是當我一出旅館後我發現它被餐館所圍住，麥當勞更是在隔壁而已。 浴室是我覺得最享受的地方，有浴室空調設計，可淋浴及泡澡，馬桶更是溫暖不冰涼。有陽台可以看一下夜景及晨曦，床更是舒適到無可挑。 早餐是麥當勞，專人幫你在指定的時間送到並通知你，真的很窩心。 服務人員更是很有禮貌。 很推薦這一家旅館喔!!

When enter the hotel, hotel stuff will keep asking you, "did u have a room here" Basically this hotel is like a hotel 81 in singapore. Guest are able to get just a 2 hours stay in the hotel.
• 3vilMonkey (6/5): A Great Deal on a Good Hotel ~ BUT BEWARE - I've stayed in this hotel on multiple occasions, and my overall impression is that this is a great value: its a small, clean & easy hotel located in the Taipei "satellite city" of Banciao, just a few blocks from the Ximendang MRT station. Banciao is a nice.. "quiter" area to the east of central Taipai, along the blue MRT line. The hotel is close to a great traditional market and lots of great dining options, and the convenient MRT station makes getting to the rest of Taipai fast and easy. The hotel is usually clean and quiet, and includes room-delivered bfast from the McDonald's next door. As an American, I'd say that last gesture is rather..um.. "cute"? 2 bottles of water provided every day, plus onsite laundry + coffee & tea service, all included. Front desk is very helpful, but like most smaller, non-western hotels in Taiwan, they don't speak a lick of English, so don't even bother. THAT BEING SAID, I debated giving this hotel a higher score, but my last stay was a BIG disappointment, because at least 2 rooms on my floor were occupied by prostitutes, and so it was in-and-out with clients ALL NIGHT LONG, and of course, the sounds of their "activities" were easily heard through the walls and down the halls. I've got nothing against sex-workers making a living, but this was NOT the sort of place I expected to have to deal with this sort of thing. This went on for 3 nights until I checked out to find another place to stay. Very disappointed that they allowed this sort of thing to go on. This is a small hotel, so there's no excuse for this. I'd love to go back next time I'm in Taiwan to find it nice & quiet as it was before.. not sure if I want to risk it.. You've been warned.
• SuzanneL66 (8/5): Wonderful hotel and a great value. - The other reviewer was spot on: this immaculate hotel is an excellent value. Perhaps the rooms are a bit small, but I've been in smaller rooms in London and Paris and I paid a lot more there than the 50USD a night I paid for this room. The bed was very comfortable and was made up with luxury linens. The bathroom had both a shower and a Japanese-style tub. Free bottled water, tea, and cookies were replenished daily. The staff was very friendly and helpful, if shy about speaking English. Granted, this is a suburb not much used to foreign visitors. I was blown away by the fact that the young woman who staffed the desk in the evening, and who I asked to arrange for a taxi in the morning to get me and my daughter to the airport, accompanied us on the ride! She made sure the cab driver got us to the right airline terminal and door and then helped us get our luggage inside. I'm still amazed by her helpfulness. The hotel's location was very convenient to the subway. There were some great-looking and very popular restaurants near-by, but I ate my meals in Taipei City with my daughter and her friends. I highly recommend this hotel! Caveat: The wall between the bathroom and the main part of the room was primarily glass, and a mixture of clear and frosted glass.
• tulipjones (8/5): Clean, very decent budget accommodations in Banciao - Stayed here for one night. This new Banqiao (Panchiao) hotel is in a convenient location, for those who need access to Banqiao as well as Taipei city. The subway (Chiangtzutsui stop) is two short blocks away, and just a few stops in either direction to the Banqiao and Taipei city train/high-speed rail/airport bus stations. Bus stops are also nearby. The subway and some of the buses can be taken straight to Taipei 101. Rooms are a bit small, but clean and offer free wifi and a safe. I was upgraded from a cheaper, windowless room to a bigger room with a window, bringing my room cost to a total of USD50. There is no restaurant, and breakfast consists of a free breakfast from the McDonald's next door delivered to your room. There are many banks around the hotel, including a cash machine in the McDonald's next door. There are also convenience stores and supermarkets two blocks away. Cons: Panchiao isn't famous for its great restaurants, but the subway into Taipei is very close. The staff is friendly, but have limited English skills. The bathrooms have frosted glass walls. I have stayed at the Grand Forward in Banqiao, and if you need to stay in Banqiao, Hotel Color is a better value.
