Guest Reviews
- CHRISTOPHER (2/5): - Expedia's pics are fabricated. Do not stay here. The place is filthy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super recomiendo!
- Diana (6/5): - Oldish hotel, rooms could do with renovating and very small. Breakfast pretty good, cold meat, cheese etc Staff really helpful with booking a wine trip etc
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Limpio. Buena locación. No muchas opciones de desayuno. Tiene aire acondicionado en la habitación. Buen wifi en habitación.
- RonHarrex (6/5): - Staff were very helpful.
The room had noisy air conditioning and the toilet cistern was both noisy & faulty
- Catherine (10/5): Central place to stay with restaurants nearby - Pool was chilly but otherwise good
- Verified traveler (2/5): Hotel fraco - A localização é satisfatória;
A cama não é confortável, o chuveiro espalha toda água, molha o banheiro;
O café da manhã é fraco;
A internet também é ruim.
- EDUARDO MARRA (6/5): Localização excelente - Quarto pequeno, armário com porta defeituosa. Banheiro e banheira ruins. Falta uma pequena reforma
localização excelente. Funcionários otimos
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Hotel muito bem localizado e equipe muito gentil e solícita.
- LUCIA ANA (8/5): Todo bien.
Quarto bem pequeno. Café da manhã bem ruim. Equipe do hotel nada receptiva.
- Jojo (2/5): Noisy and dirty - I had a room next to the exit to the parking. So, noise from the door and people talking. But worst than that, the room was dirty, stain on the sheets, dust and many long dark hair on the floor....discusting! Breafast is very basic with tin fruits!
- jonmar1 (6/5): Good Location - The hotel is very well located and rooms have all the needed amenities. Rooms could use some updating. Front desk staff helpful and polite. Breakfast was simple. The only issue that we had with the hotel was that we tried to get something to eat before a very early pick up from the hotel for a tour. The attendant for breakfast actually yelled at us for taking a danish for breakfast out of the dining room. We were told that it is against their policy for guests to take food out of the dining room. It soured our impression of the hotel.
- JoeTao (4/5): Shop Around - The hotel is in a good location but that's about it. The pool was filthy and full of dead bugs. Our room was quite small. The bathroom door handle came off in my wife's hand when she closed the door. If a single person had taken the room, they would have been trapped in there as there is no phone. As soon as I went to take a shower, the faucet handle came off in my hands. AC was also noisy but I think it was defective so probably not the same in all rooms. One morning, we were taking a 7am excursion and that's when breakfast started. My wife and her friend made two ham and cheese sandwiches to eat on the bus. When the breakfast attendant saw that, she flipped out. She started screaming at them and slammed her hand on the table indicating that breakfast was to eaten there and nowhere else. She then came down to the front desk to inform of the crime. When I tried to explain to the clerk about the 7am excursion, I thought she would understand. Not so much. She told me they were always late and that we had time. She continued with the story about breakfast being only allowed in the dining room. I've been traveling for over 30 years and I've never seen staff yell at a guest. Needless to say, the location was the only thing we liked about this hotel and I would not recommend it.
- Lisa_S18 (8/5): Good value - Upon arrivial (late at night) we were taken to our petite room - it was unacceptable. The room was so small we could not fit two suitcases in the room. Night person did not speak any english. The next day they moved us after a little bit of complaining. Given that the staff spoke very little english, they were so helpful. There was free wi-fi throughout the hotel. Good location as you could walk to all major sights of mendoza. The pool was a welcome relief. They allowed us to use their fridge to store water and wine.
- PaulH377 (8/5): Great value hotel - Helpful and friendly staff, quiet and spotless hotel, free wi-fi throughout. Room was very small, but absolutely fine. Only a few blocks from Plaza Indipendencia. A great place to stay in Mendoza.
- dbrown44 (2/5): Avoid, there's plenty others in Mendoza - This hotel had a decent recommendation in the Moon guide, and we needed to book something for Mendoza. We arrived to find an unfriendly front desk and a truly awful room, stained bedspread, smelling of air freshener, and on the ground floor with no lock on the window. We asked to see another room, and were grumpily and eventually showed an even worse room. Good-bye, Provincial! There's a zillion hotels in Mendoza, and for the $85 or so, you can find a nice room, nearer to the Plaza. Don't be fooled by the updated lobby.
- Chimango (10/5): Geat value...Love it ! - The location is perfect, not to close or to far from downtown.
The staff spectacular and accomodating.
The hotel, old, but well kept.Clean.Clean.Clean.
Rooms avarage in size.
Everything clean.
Free continental breakfast, good.
Hotel rated 3*** in the south america standard. I'll give it a 3 1/2 *** just beacause the cleanliness and customer service.
- Ahbutz (10/5): Excellent value - I booked this hotel with Orbitz and paid by credit card before I left on my vacation. The advantage is that I paid in US dollars and saved a bit on the exchange rate.
The hotel rate was a real value ($48 per night) for a hotel that was 3 star plus. It is in a nice neighborhood on a nice boulevard close to the parks and the pedestrian promenade that features outdoor cafes and restaurants, outdoor sports shops, airline and travel offices. A major casino is about 3 blocks away. The airport is about 6 miles away but the bus terminal is only a mile or so away.
The hotel itself looks brand new. It is patterned after 4 star hotels with lots of shiny glass doors and windows and granite stone floors and walls. The rooms are spotless and extremely quiet and secure. A warm, even hot semi-indoor pool is available. The breakfast room on the 4th floor has a nice view of the Andes and the town. A good selection of fruits and juice were available.
The staff was beyond helpful. They saved me from missing my bus to another town by calling my room in the early morning hours to let me know my taxi had arrived. (I had forgotten to adjust my watch one hour earlier to Atlantic time when I crossed over from Chile.)
