- Margaret (9/5): comfortable, clean and good location. - There was no breakfast offered. Needed another chair in room when two people are staying. Tasha supplied one. She is an amazing women and a definite asset to your hotel. She made us feel at home. She alone would make people want to return to your establishment. No breakfast offered.
- cn (4/5): Disappointing hotel - poor maintenance and NOISY - Free use of laundry equipment. TERRIBLE MAINTENANCE! Broken/dangling cabinet doors, malfunctioning stove-top (one of the 2 burners worked, but the dials have been replaced, causing a dangerous situation - Low Heat is HIGH and high heat is off), ill-fitting door to room, NOISY ROOM - walls are paper thin-can hear EVERYTHING in hallways/other rooms. In general, this is a beat-up hotel with poor to little qualified maintenance. A/C was also noisy. The location is directly on the NOISY I-35 access road. You'll hear loud traffic all hours. Not clean.

The hotel staff were exceptional. They made sure we had everything we needed and then some. Very impressed with this particular hotel. I stay in a lot of hotels traveling for the type of work that I do for a living. I cannot think of a better place that would rank as far as cleanliness, hospitality, and use of the properties amenities. I can't say enough good things about the staff, in particular, Niecey, the receptionist that checked us in. Very professional and helpful during check-in and helping with a lost phone.

- Monalisa Ake (10/5): Them sisters that work different shifts…THEY ARE TRULY BEAUTIFUL WOMEN. - We didn’t realize hotel didn’t have breakfast but was kindly told by staff that being an extended hotel that they do not offer it. She guided us to a Walmart/HEB for groceries and all was fantastic There were no dislikes at all. The entire staff at the front desk were genuinely courteous, polite and respectful with smiles. Just an awesome feeling every time you walked in. I didn’t like we had to be there for the passing of our family member that night but glad we were at this hotel where people aren’t afraid to pray and lift you up. Them sisters are legit!

I will say that the front desk lady was amazing and so nice. The room was muggy and had a weird smell. The bathroom was beat to hell. The bed was hard. There was only 1 plug near the bed. Had loud people around. It was just really banged up and kinda nasty. I wouldn't recommend this place. Especially for what they are charging. Very disappointed.

When we first arrived, it smelled like someone was feeding their cat wet cat food and the smell was lingering the whole weekend we were there. Front desk staff was very friendly and nice. We did not complain about the smell because it’s not something they could fix if it was actually a guest.

My wife has severe allergies, and the thought of a canine having been in our room, on our bed, before us was appalling. The mattress was a spring mattress and creaked every time we moved or sat on the edge, and our backs ached in the morning. Horrible stay. Never choosing Candlewood Suites again.

Then had to ask the front desk clerk for a different room and he looked very stressed out and was explaining how diamond members can stay up until 2. I was thinking that is none of my concern I should not have to go to the room to find that they are just now cleaning it. My fault for not knowing it is a extended stay hotel. It was just okay, floors are thin and the people stomping around in the middle of the night keep me up.

- Kayla (6/5): Family trip 2 night stay - Overall hotel was in a great location. It was minutes away from everything that my family planned to do. A few things I didn’t like about the hotel… No pool only a patio/grill area…. No breakfast only a snack area where you can purchase snacks drinks etc. Also no housekeeping on a daily basis. If you need more towels make sure you bring your dirty towels down to the front desk, that’s the only way you will get clean ones and if you think you can just get towels without exchanging your dirty ones, you can’t. Beds were comfy, water pressure was good and water was very hot. Room was clean and everything we needed for the kitchenette was there. Also No ice machine but it’s an ice maker in the refrigerator.

- sarah (10/5): - The room was extremely clean. Check in and out was fast and desk clerks were both very nice.
- Sheila (4/5): - This property is not good at all. #1 There are roaches in this hotel, you can’t leave any food out because they will get in them and you may see them napping on your bed with you. #2 The beds are horrible, they have to be 15-20 years old because of all the noise it makes getting in or out of it. If you wake up during the night, be prepared of waking everybody in the room up because that’s how noisy it was. #3 No swimming pool, they actually filled in the area where the pool should have been and changed it to seating area. #4 No breakfast in the morning. Everyone I saw checking in asked the same question, what time does breakfast start?, just to hear we don’t offer continental breakfast. #5 if someone is in a room above you, you will hear every footstep and running sound they make. So try to get on the 3rd floor if you want to risk staying here. And lastly, I went down stairs to ask for towels and the front desk person told me I would have to bring down all my old towels because they don’t have enough for the whole hotel. Yep you heard me right. But what he didn’t realize was that I was in the lobby earlier when another woman came down who was white ( I am a minority) and ask for 8 towels, he ran to get them out of the back with no questions.

- Eugene (2/5): Too expensive, stay somewhere else - Check in was good however, they confirmed I was staying two nights then were calling my phone the next day telling me I was supposed to be checked out. Room reeked of mildew, the cabinets in the kitchen area were falling apart. The channels on the TV were all mislabeled so you didn't know what channel you were on. We found cockroaches in the kitchen and bathroom. It was very loud in the hallway, you could hear if anyone closed the door to their room.

- VanandRhonda (10/5): Pleasantly surprised! - The suite was great. I was so happy that there was NO carpet in the room. Dove soaps in pump top containers was handy—no trying to get the shampoo from the tiny bottle. In room ice maker in the fridge was great! So, room clean, bath clean, food sized fridge, friendly check in and check out.
- Julie (8/5): Loved the Staff Not the Beds. - Everything was great except for the skeaky old beds in our room. One bed had a brown stain on the flat sheet. Staff was fantastic. Very nice and professional. The only other thing we did not agree with was it being soundproof rooms. They are not. Typical hotel loud noises. Clean and the kitchen is awesome but they do not have a pool. We would stay again!!
- jbrisson2020 (8/5): Will Stay Again and Hope for better beds! - We enjoyed the hotel. The staff at the front desk were very nice and welcoming. The kitchen in the rooms is a game changer to pick this hotel for families staying awhile. Everything was clean and well stocked. There were only two things we found disappointing. The rooms are said to be soundproof and that is incorrect. That would have been nice if it were. Additionally, the beds were not comfortable in the room we had. The nice hotel and price compared to it’s neighbor Hotels you would think the beds would be ok. Neither one of these issues would stop us from staying again. Great for more than one night stays.

- Armando (2/5): was told I would get a discount for AC not working, still waiting on an email of invoice - advertisement exterior facade gives the hotel a look of comfort and good service check in staff, was not welcoming at all, very unfriendly, asked is any eating places in walking distance, very short "NO" no other suggestions. Moring staff very friendly, night staff, hard to find at 1 am, he did not have a clue on AC issues in my room 120, toilet was not filling up water closet, had to remove lid. mold around shower tub. ice make in fridge did not work. no other source of ice, had to ask front desk and would get a look of why are you bothering me.

- Lana (5/5): Adequate for a one night stay. - The room was large and roomy with fully equipped kitchen: refrigerator, microwave, and stove. The hotel needs an ice machine. The hotel wants you to rely on the room refrigerator to make ice. It is too slow and doesn’t make ice fast enough to meet the needs. First floor hallway smelled of cigarette smoke.
- Kasey (4/5): Very uncomfortable and couldn’t wait to checkout. - Location was nice. Exterior was inviting. The hallway and room wreaked of weed. The appliances in the kitchenette were old and the ice maker squeaked all night. The bed was like sleeping on cardboard palettes. The front desk personnel were not friendly. Brusk on check in and never was greeted once coming or going during my stay.

- MARVIN (4/5): - Upon arrival the room was clean . We were told if we wanted clean towels for 2nd day we had to bring down our used ones. We did so, and then said we needed to take the clean ones up to our room. We did this. When we took showers the body wash container was difficult to use and only ejected a small amount of liquid. The next day we returned late in afternoon to find unmade beds and overflowing trash can. Obviously housekeeping had not been. When we travel and stay in hotels, we expect not to have to perform housekeeping duties.
