- Allison (4/5): Never again - Breakfast was great and staff very good $ for 1 night. Excessive , poor shower pressure and ran hot and cold, and the loose towel rail, and an exciting view for the price.
- Tshering (10/5): Really loved it . Will visit next time as well . - Really beautiful and safe.my kids loved it Very clean, friendly staff
- Lara (10/5): Hidden Gem!! Great beds, wonderful hospitality, delicious food, gorgeous views. - What a find!! We absolutely loved staying at the Winterhaus. Greg and his staff were kind, helpful, and professional from the moment we booked until checkout. The home-cooked breakfast was delightful and the set menu changes daily so you always get something different even if staying multiple nights.
The chalet itself is super cute and built vertically into the top of the hill. The views of Thredbo from the rooms, car park, and central guest living space were top notch, and the art in the building was wonderful. Reserved parking onsite is available for $20 a night and I was able to arrange a reservation with Greg in the comments when I booked it.
We stopped in for one night only on our honeymoon ski trip instead of staying in Jindabyne, and we’re so glad we did! 10/10 for Greg and the Winterhaus. I had my best night of sleep on the whole trip here.
Thanks for having us! We would highly recommend Winterhaus to other travelers.
- Belinda (8/5): - It felt like being at someones home. Very Cosy, great breakfast, great location and clean room with comfy bed and soft towel.
- James (10/5): -
- Alan (4/5): Saw Thredbo,! - Good The room was to small. No chair inside..very little room between bed end. Not enough hanging space. The room was for a single bed not a double. No tea making facilities in the room. Old dated needs a lift. I just assume all the other rooms were the same. It must of just squeezed in to minimal habital room regs. The stairs are a killer but not Greg's fault for the location. Greg and his staff are great.
- Josh (5/5): No regrets but due to poor sleep I wouldn't look to stay here again. - Staff were great and friendly. Breakfast and drinks were delicious and generous. Both my friend and I had terrible sleeps all 3 nights because the mattress and pillow were extremely uncomfortable. The pillow felt like a half filled sand bag. We both woke up with sore necks every day.
- Rowshan (10/5): It was a wonderful stopover - the staff were helpful and warmly hospitable, the lounge area felt like home 🌹 - It was comfortable, quiet and quaint Lots of steps to get down and up
- Andrea (10/5): Lovely stay thank you. - Breakfast was great with tea/coffee/alternate milk/fridge access.
Nice common room, lovely staff and "lodge" feeling.
Has a bike storage room. We didn't book ahead parking, so parked in the overnight parking 1-2km away. Easy to unload/load car out front then move car.

- Ruth (7/5): - Super friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed, good breakfast. Excellent location in Thredbo. Common space is comfortable with good amenities. We would recommend! It’s an older chalet, which they inform you of on booking so there is no surprises. You can hear noise through walls, ceiling - just be aware when you book. Everyone was very courteous and we slept well.

- taj (10/5): Wonderful - Location, cosy, staff. Nothing
- Cristina (8/5): -
- Pilzoor (8/5): - breakfast was good, but can be add more options ,view was perfect , romm was comfy and good enough just access to parking through long stairs was difficult
- Michael (8/5): -
- Mirabbas (5/5): A cozy and scenic stay with great amenities, though stair access were a bit inconvenient - The room was clean and warm, with beautiful mountain views as we requested. he guests lounge was a great spot to relax by the fireplace, and the daily hot breakfast was a perfect start to each day. After-hours check-in was smooth we struggled to find the building at night for check in due to limited light and street signage, and access involved many stairs, which could be challenging for some guests. and the extra $20 per night parking fee wasn’t clearly communicated upfront.
- Anurag (9/5): - breakfast was amazing
- Harwinder (6/5): - Room was congested, so many stairs in and out of the place, it was hard to go downstairs and upstairs with luggage. There was no kitchenette or kettle to make a cup of tea or coffee in the room, very limited facilities in the room , you have to go to dining area to make tea/ coffee. If you have issues with knees not a suitable place then.

- Steven (10/5): - Great hosts, accomodating, good breakfast.
- 007 (8/5): - Great check-in experience, wonderful views, dining and lounge area, bathroom has body wash and heated floor The beds and pillows need to be changed most uncomfortable, sound does carry through the walls, take earplugs
- Steve (10/5): - The room was clean and warm, beds were comfortable with crispy clean linen, the shared bathroom was extremely clean and the shower was fantastic. The drying room and ski/board locker was more than satisfactory and on site parking was convenient also the included buffet breakfast was really nice and all staff were friendly and helpful with the owner/manager and his partner/wife being fantastic hosts.

- Juliany (10/5): - Great location and very clean. Would definitely stay there again!
- Gabrielle (10/5): - Breakfast, view, staff friendliness. Very steep access.
- John Andrew (8/5): Good value lodge to explore Thredbo - Breakfast was very good, cereal, fruit and hot breakfast, limited selection but all good. Even the filtered coffee was good and I usually find hotel filtered coffee undrinkable. Thredbo resort runs excellent bus service in winter that takes you to Bella's corner just 50m from Winterhaus, admittedly mostly up steep stairs. Shared bathrooms were clean and good. Common room was a good place to relax and read with a wonderful mountain view.
- Ana (8/5): -
- Monica (9/5): Perfect for our trip, good value and everything we needed. - Easy to find, park and unload. Our room and the lounge/dining rooms fabulous views over mountain. Great breakfast and friendly generous hosts. Shuttle bus stop close. Games, books, fire. The steps were a good warm down/up for skiiing :) Nothing

- hutchison (8/5): An older style lodge with lots of charm - Breakfast was good. The common lounge is a very good feature of this property. Convenience for handling luggage in and out of the lodge.
- Anna (10/5): Warm, friendly and organised - this place is great value - Breath taking views from the rooms, delicious hot breakfast included, easy to get to ski slopes, sunny warm lounge, friendly & organised owners.
- Tam (10/5): Great location for families. - Amazing location, family friendly premises and welcoming staff. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit. Walking distance to thredbo village, on-site parking (paid), convienient location and outstanding views.
- Susan (8/5): Snow holiday - Fantastic location and veiws, room could have been bigger for four of us. So many stairs to get down and up to catch free bus.
- Magdalena (10/5): Great location and host - The host was very accomodating and polite.
- Summer-anne (10/5): Comfortable, cozy and clean - So comfortable, cozy and clean. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and able to cater for my dietary needs. The rooms were so warm and the whole property so peaceful, even though it’s located right in the town. They honestly thought of everything, there are even lockers for your snow gear!
- David (8/5): -
- Daniel (10/5): My daughter and I had a beautiful ski holiday and loved the friendliness of everyone, especially Nils and Claire. Thank - Cosy and close to the village / lifts nothing
- Robert (8/5): Quaint but cosy stay - Excellent breakfasts, only once had an issue accessing a shared shower (had to go to another floor) and never the toilets. Room was quite small, but it was a single so to be expected. Showing its age, but gives it a quaint feeling. Staff were all lovely.
Parking location handy on the Alpine Way. Be sure to book it if you need it. Surprised to see wallabies around the property in the middle of winter!
- Braden (10/5): Amazing place , warm and cosey with 5 star amenities - The rooms were very clean and comfy felt more like you were staying in a home then just an average hotel experience, hot breakfast options included in stay were a great bonus and very tasty! The stairs upto accomodation after a long day of snowboarding is not for the weak but apart from that everything was fantastic
- Hareen (10/5): -

- Tony (10/5): - Facilities and people excellent Nothing
- Slee (7/5): - To many stairs
- Mary Grace (8/5): It was an overall good accomodation. - I love their hot breakfast and the view from the lounge room is STUNNING That it’s a bit of a hike from the thredbo lifts and that there’s only limited available parking
- Barnali (9/5): - Location and view. Lots of stairs to get there.
- Jillian (10/5): Amazing stay and owner was very accomodating to our early check in request. - Amazing view of the ski fields from room and dining area. Breakfast cooked to order. Lovely lounge with boardgames and fire. Close to main shops and town just lots of stairs to get up and down but bus stop is close if stairs too much. Parking for only $20 was great. No kettle in room but was ok as there was a kettle in the lounge/dining room.
- Ross (9/5): Great place to stay to access the slopes at Thredbo. - Very well setup for access to the ski slopes as expected, comfy place across both private spaces (room + bathroom) and shared area (lounge, dining), everyone loved breakfast.

- Helen (10/5): Greg tries very hard to do the little extra things - Clean fresh, good breaks fast and excellent service
- Charmagne (8/5): -
- Zoe (8/5): Coat stay away in the snow. - Winterhaus lodge was a great stay for a night away in the snow. Staff were very friendly. Location was good and close to the slopes. Although there are a lot of steps to get to the lodge from the village. The room was very clean, and so were all the shared facilities. The breakfast was good and served hot. The rooms felt cold although the heating was on.
- S M Kamrul (5/5): Cosy and good value for money - * Close to Alpine Hwy
* Cosy rooms
* Parking available * Breakfast wasn’t great. Not much option for non-meat lovers.
* Steep stairs from parking. Nightmare for people with heavy luggages.
* Room very small.
- Melissa (10/5): -
- Manu (9/5): Excellent place close to the slopes -
- Graziotto (10/5): - cozy and breakfast steps (can’t really help that given the area)
- Mazza (10/5): - La cordialita del proprietario, la pulizia della camera, la location , ed il rapporto qualità prezzo.

- Georgina (10/5): Enjoyed our stay - The view, the friendly staff, the spacious room and the breakfast Na
- Zoe (8/5): - Clean and comfortable rooms with heating that is surprisingly efficient. However the bathrooms are tiny and the toilet space doesnt leave much room for movement.
The owners were friendly, helpful and cooked a mean breakfast.

- Pantea (8/5): -
- Syed (9/5): - Great host. Nice and cozy place to stay with fullfilling breakfast. Good choice of cereals, bread, croissants, juices and fresh fruits. You can get a parking spot as well if available which is a luxury in Thredbo. From the parking spot take some steps down and you find yourself in this cozy little lodge. It also has a great dinning area with a fireplace which is open for guests and has a great view.

- Bandana (10/5): -
- Jakobus (8/5): - Parking close to the property is an issue. Pricey for such a small single room, small shower area.
- St-John (9/5): We will certainly be going back in the spring. - Staff were excellent, friendly, informative. Very good breakfast. Reasonably close to town.
- Jason (9/5): -
- Anuja (9/5): Great value, lovely people, very helpful. Beautiful. Good breakfast. - Breakfast was great. I forgot my shoes at home. The couple even lent me a pair of boots to hike. They were just so welcoming and friendly. Always checking up on us to make sure we were comfy. Foot steps from upstairs. It's a small place so you can hear everything. But it didn't bother me but my friend had a little trouble sleeping as well went to bed early.
