- Chandra (8/5): - Friendly staff. Gym is okay, small and compact. Our room AC quite noisy and there was a stain on the bed sheet. Room is clean. Good location. Cafes, restaurants and bars around the area
- Matthew (4/5): Terrible Check in Process - Check in process was terrible. Reception was closed when we arrived - closed at 5pm. Placed on hold when trying to check in my phone. Required to upload licence and credit card information despite the fact that the room was already paid for. Codes did not work to access the building. Took mulitple phone calls. A passweby on the street noticed out dilemma and reinforced taht others had expressed concern regarding this process. Took over an hour. Room itself was OK but the check saga spoiled our stay.

- Maria (6/5): Good location - The location and condition of the property were very good. Unfortunately, we found our bed quite soft, meaning we didn’t sleep very well. Certainly not the fault of the staff, but someone had been smoking - maybe in the next room. The smell was very strong. I'm not sure if there was also a dog next door, but it was barking intermittently from early morning till we left at 9.30.

- Cassandra (10/5): Pleasant stay - We stayed at Crown on Darby for a weekend trip and it was excellent. The location is close to everything and paid parking was convenient and reasonable. The receptionists are also very helpful and friendly. The room itself was big, clean and comfy. We also enjoyed using the fitness centre.

Checkin after hours is a bit dodgy since you have to email then the credit card number, cvc, selfie and passport photo. It went smooth with no issue though.

There are some stairs into the room and a step up into bath for shower, but really liked it - 2 comfy couches and full size dining table, full kitchen facilities and big TV - 2 balconies.

- Stacey (6/5): - Definitely not what I was expecting at all-and not like any other hotel room. And I would not recommend it. It has no windows into the main room. The bathroom has a window, which has a frosted glass that shines into the room (whether you like it or not) and there is a patio that has shutters that open and close, but with no screen and the patio, that table, the shutters were covered with bird poop, so we couldn’t go out there. The bedside table was stained. Overall, it was just gross. For this price, there are much better options, I fell for other reviews, and I lost out. Don’t make this mistake.

Garage parking available at a smaller fee than most other places. We were given complimentary parking due to our small issue and drinks too, didn't have to ask. Great customer service. Parking was safe and convenient under the hotel. Laundry seemed overly complicated and only one washer was working and vending machines were out of order. Overall would recommend, but better communication about check in and repairing machines in common areas would be helpful.

Although the unit was quietly private and cosy much of the time the internal door between units is a weakness for privacy; sound transmission emanating through the door from the neighbouring unit proved to be highly intrusive at times. Two wall sconce lights were not working and were waiting for replacement: on the stairs and in the living area. All wall sconce lights are dim and as the only lighting available, the lighting in the living area and particularly over the desk is poor. Lighting elsewhere is good. The shower screen is incorrectly installed on the outer edge of the step into the shower. Water pools behind the screen then slowly dips and forms a puddle on the bathroom floor. Leave a bathmat there for hours after showering to avoid wet bed socks.

- Bill (10/5): Great location - Crown on Darby is a fab location. Easy walking to just about everything, restaurants, cafes, entertainment and the waterfront. We were overwhelmed with the size of the living area. The balcony off the bedroom is a waste of space, the space could have been utilised better for a wardrobe or a bigger bathroom. The bathroom is small and the water from the shower leaks out between the shower screen and bath. The safety to get into the shower is a little daunting. The mattress was a little soft for us and the pillows too high and firm. Cleanliness was faultless, a few light globes not working, no safe for valuables, no luggage stand/rack for suitcase. Previous places we've stayed for this price had all of these things plus own laundry. Constructive feedback for our personal stay.

- Peter (2/5): - This used to be great place to stay, but I will no longer be going back. Rooms are in need urgent state of repair, and the air conditioner filters have never been cleaned for such a long time. As a result I could not turn on the air or open the windows as the windows has no fly screens. Upon arrival, windows were all opened and I found spider webs around the windows in the main room with 2 white tail spiders. Bed had stains all over the pillows. No reception after 1pm so I could not say anything. I felt somewhat ripped off and quite disappointed. During the early hours of the morning, the noise of thugs breaking bottles on the street outside was very off putting, I’ll never be going back. Quite sad really.

- Judith (8/5): - Overall, a reasonable stay in a well positioned hotel. The lounge area was very big and comfortable in the two bedroom unit. The kitchen provided the necessaries. The design of the shower over the bathtub was awkward. You had to reach under the shower rose to adjust the temperature so cold water pours onto your back while you're trying to adjust it. The king bed was comfortable. In my opinion, $25 per night is fairly excessive for parking. Staff at reception were very polite and pleasant.

- Sophie (10/5): - Staff were lovely and accomdating, we needed to drop our car off at 11:30 as we had a work event for 12. We were able to drop off the car, take our bags into the office and they put them in our room. They even gave us our key so we didn't have to do after hours check in. Room was clean and modern. Mattress was super comfy.

- Hanan (8/5): - The apartment was really nice and unique/ high ceilings. So spacious and nice setup. Unfortunately only 1 person can fit into the spa bath, so that was a little disappointing. The king bed wasnt set up properly as we kept falling into the ditch (middlepart) otherwise it was so comfy. Reception ladies at the front were super lovely and friendly.
