• Robert (8/5): Very satisfactory - Location was satisfactory. Bathroom looked like it had been done up recently so was nice and clean. Tea,coffee etc provided. Free cold bottled water also provided which was very nice. Everything was fine.
• Meryl (9/5): Relaxed, quiet and a good place to just stop and unwind after a long trip. - The location. While Clermont is a town a bit out of the way but a very handy stop over if driving the Great Inland Highway, when you first drive in the town is noticeably very tidy and clean. It is spread out with a large IGA less than a minute drive away from the Peppercorn, a local pub and Bottle Shop plus other relevant facilities close to the IGA that you would expect in small regional towns. The Peppercorn was eclectic, very friendly with a small restaurant available on the premises. All in all it did exceed a number of my expectations. I cannot think of anything that I didn't like to be honest. I was happy with the location, facilities and friendly owners.

• Todd (10/5): Once timer - I will DEFINITELY be back in the future. - The dinner was absolutely superb - I chose crumbed red emperor fish, chips and salad. It was wonderful. The service in the restaurant was top class - by the owner himself. Hard to fault in any way.

This is a difficult town in which to find accommodation where you are not disturbed by mining shift workers changing shifts during the small hours. Peppercorn was better than others I have stayed in. Very strong smell of cleaning products in room some would find unbearable. Best request an odour free room here. Many meals at restaurant were unavailable as cook had absconded. Best efforts were made to provide alternatives of a different nature but it wasn't quite the same experience.

Very helpful staff trying hard with their new venture. Has loads of potential to bring it back to the standard it was 30 years ago. Dinner was good. Rooms good size. We were there when the new Owners had been in place only two days, so the dining room was not fully functional and the overall premises are a bit tired. The owners seem passionate to bring it back to a high standard so we are expecting improvement next time.
