Guest Reviews
- Jennifer (4/5): - Very old motel. No coffee maker. Floor dirty.Bedspreads need a tumble in the washer and expensive $95/night but slept well.
- Amber (8/5): - Cheap clean place to stay
- Jessica (10/5): My Stay - The stay was very pleasant the room was a little dirty but overall I was happy
- Donald (8/5): - It was fine, dead bolt didn't work. It was just me so I wasn't to concerned about it. I'm always on the road stayed in approximately 70 hotel, motel in last year.
- Tiffany (2/5): - Was in room 5 min and saw a cockroach on wall of bathroom.killed it and took to front desk showed the man, and he didn't seem to care.
- roy (4/5): - They do have clean sheets pillowcases, which mean a lot these days, other than that not a bunch of thrills older place
- Andrew (8/5): - The location was great
- Latonya (4/5): - The review o read previously wasn’t true. This place stank and nosy bed small and I had the worst sleep now I have a
Ten hour drive with no sleep.. do not recommend this play
- Janice (10/5): Any port in the storm - I had reserved and paid the insurance of $5 per person for a room with one queen bed, but got a double room with beds not quite big enough for two people to sleep comfortably. The tub was stained yellow from over use. We were in a first-floor room, but the ceiling abover the beds were water-stained. The caulking around the bathtub that is supposedtobe off white was black. The water valves for the bathtub turned 360 without shutting off. They don't do a very good job cleaning their toilets.
- Janice (10/5): Any port in the storm - Compared to other motels we have visited it was ok, but the beds are always so hard. - carleton (8/5): Recent stay… - Nothing fancy, but clean, very comfortable beds, and a good strong shower… can’t beat it for the $$
- David (6/5): - Did not check is I have a dog motel was not pet friendly owner and I agree he refused me a room at no charge
- Maria (10/5): - Quiet
- Steven (10/5): - Door wouldn’t open from the inside
- Alan (6/5): - I stay here because it's inexpensive and they don't have people waking me up in the process of going to a free breakfast. Free breakfasts are a huge negative! The exterior of the building looks really rough, but the rooms are nice. I just wish there was an electrical outlet on top of the nightstand and a place to hang clothes. Conventional hooks don't fit the thick bathroom door and I have to plug my phone across the room, with the phone on the floor. Bring large door hooks and an extension cord.
- Steven (10/5): - Great Value
- Denise (10/5): - The parking was a little crowded. Beds were comfortable and linens clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not so hot! - Dirty floor! Not enough lighting. Had to unplug the light to plug in the microwave. No coffee pot.
- Mark (6/5): - The motel is used for long term stays mostly. This was not listed in any of the reviews I read. For a one night stay it worked but not what I expected for the price.
- Keith (8/5): - Got a good nights sleep at an affordable price
- Dean (6/5): - I arrived and the fridge was not cold. Never worked I told the office the night before I left. Oh well.
- Kenneth (8/5): - Prices
- Leslie (8/5): Comfortable Vintage Motel - Admittedly there was nothing special about the exterior appearance of this property, which is situated along a busy stretch of US12. I was checked in my a gentleman who was courteous and competent. My advance request for a ground floor room was honored. As mentioned, the exterior seemed cluttered and outdated--but when I opened the door I encountered a room that was very clean and comfortable. The furnishings were vintage but sturdy. The bed was extremely comfortable. The fridge and microwave were great; but the wifi was a bit weak in my room. The motel is set back from the road so it was a restful place. Plenty of places to eat nearby, even within walking distance. I liked this place a lot and would stay here again.
- Tim (8/5): Good inexpensive room - When traveling by myself, I look for inexpensive. All I need is a good shower, and a comfortable bed. Hopefully, in a clean room. This Motor Inn fit the bill perfectly. Thanks for a nice stay! Second night, booked as two trips :-(
- Tim (8/5): Good room. - When traveling by myself, I look for inexpensive. All I need is a good shower, and a comfortable bed. Hopefully, in a clean room. This Motor Inn fit the bill perfectly. Thanks for a nice stay!
- Rachel (8/5): - Clean and presentable given the price.
- Richard (6/5): - Location somewhat sketchy
- Siri (4/5): - You get what you pay for: bare bones. Blanket so thin you can see through it. Room heated by a loud, rattling, wall-mounted space heater. Paper-thin slice of soap. Very worn, small bath towels. Not one hook anywhere to hang a coat, robe or toiletries bag. Bring flip - flops — room so dim you can’t make out the condition of the vinyl floor. No accessible outlet near the bedside table. Just a dreary, flophouse-type room. Next time I’ll spend the money for a room I don’t feel depressed in.
- Patrick (10/5): Nice place. Cheap rate. - Staff was friendly. An older motel but was clean and they are friendly. I would stay again.
- Justin (8/5): Decent. Definitely would stay again - Decent stay for the money
- Ryan James (4/5): - If check in is at 1pm, then have the room ready at that time or advertise a different check in time. This threw off my day as I was visiting my daughter at college from out of town and had things scheduled throughout the day and didn’t have time to go back and forth from Hillsdale. Needed up checking in at 10:30pm
- kingrst (8/5): - Has renovated rooms. Definitely don't expect that nice of a room from looking at the outside.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Another pleasant stay - This place is pretty basic, but the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, nice sheets, plenty of hot water...what more does one need.
- Art (8/5): - Very happy, great room two queen beds for the price. Quiet and restful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room had an unpleasant odor, musty, the air conditioning left a lot to be desired. Wires for the TV come through the ceiling, no coffee, although there was a microwave and small fridge. Furniture was old and well used, pillows were almost non-existent, small and way too much give.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Broken window. No heater. STUNK!!!! Had to leave in the middle of the night because it smelled so bad. We had plans the next day to ride the train but we had to cancel that too! The owners didn’t even care.
- Paul (8/5): Clean, comfortable and a good location. - Perfect for an inexpensive place to stay when all you're using it for is to sleep and shower. I will be staying again!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nice enough for the price. Cheap price. Cheap room
- Verified traveler (6/5): - clean room, cheap rate
- Gene (8/5): - Basic motel. Clean and quiet. That is all i need.
- Verified traveler (6/5): It's ok - It's definitely an old motel, but the staff keeps it clean. Unfortunately, there is a drug situation in the area and some of the people staying look down-on-their-luck. But, for the price, as long your expectations are low, you'll be fine.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good economy motel. - The room was recently renovated. Carpet removed and replaced with linoleum.
- Robert (4/5): Bad Experience - When I checked in I noticed a sign that stated "All Rooms Were Non-Smoking". Wonderful news! I checked in and asked for a wake up call at 7:00 AM. After checking in- I never went to the room as I had to leave right away and did not return to enter my room till approx. 11:30 PM. The room was "reiking" with the smell of smoke and stale tobacco. It kept me up most of the night and I was extremely nauseated. It was a very, very unpleasant experience. After not getting very much sleep and finally dozing off- what could have been worse- the wake up call came in at 6:00 AM.
I would highly recommend that the ceiling and walls either be scrubbed with a disinfectant or re-painted. The curtains should be laundered and the carpeting disinfected and shampooed. All in all- it was a horrible experience.Should have asked for a refund.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Hotel was OK considering the price. However, our room was very old. The material under the carpet crackled when you walked on it. Bathroom was fine. Beds were fine although one of the blankets had cigarette burns in it. OK place if you just needed somewhere to sleep few nights.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Above standard - Very typical motel-type establishment BUT extremely comfortable bedding and spotless room, quiet AC and excellent TV & Wi-fi.
- Verified traveler (6/5): ok for the price - decent enough for the price
- Loretta (4/5): Stay if your in a pinch - Clean room for a cheap price, no frills!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Stay if your out of options - Stay here if you can't get a room anywhere else.
- duncan (8/5): Trip - Nice would stay again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Stayed for business. All accommodations were very nice.
- kenneth (10/5): a plus - nice stay
- Family Trip (8/5): Great price, average hotel - We were looking for a cheap place to book on a last minute trip. The reviews didn't seem bad so we took a chance on this one. The furniture and decor are a little dated but it was surprisingly cleaner than some national chains we've been in recently. Several of our friends were staying in other rooms and I don't believe any of them had a major complaint either. At this price you're not getting a 3-star experience but I've paid more for other higher ranked hotels that were far more questionable than this. I'd stay again if I were headed that direction.
- karen (4/5): Good value - Desk clerk not overly friendly, but pleasant. No ice machine - not big deal so I didn't ask - just set my drink outside in cold air. Room comfortable - but dim lighting. Portable lamp was a bonus - I could move it to where I could benefit with lighting. Thermostat - I adjusted to 72 but it never felt like 72. TV way across room - making it difficult to enjoy and hear. Many choices of fast food close by. Comfort level matched price. Good value for just an overnight and early morning departure.
