Creo que el desayuno puede mejorar. Se entiende que justo ese día estaba lleno y nos tocó esperar bastante, pero los alimentos no estaban ricos, los huecos muy secos. Creo que se puede mejorar fácilmente.
• Carmel (9/5): Really enjoyable. - This is a super boutique restaurant close to lots of restaurants and San Cristobel Hill (worth a hike up). The staff are so friendly and each evening invite you for a glass of Chilean wine. Breakfast is a simple continental type but delicious and fresh. If you have early pick up from the hotel for excursions, they will provide a packed breakfast which is a bonus. I would definitely stay here again. Bottled water could have been provided on a daily basis not just once, but a minor issue.

Foi renovado alguns anos atrás e continua decorado no mesmo estilo clássico do século passado. Café da manhã muito bom, fresco, em um ambiente muito agradável. Ótima localização, com muitos bares e restaurantes nas redondezas e bem perto do teleférico para o Cerro de San Cristóbal.

• camila (10/5): Tudo maravilhoso, com certeza voltarei. - O Café da manhã é repetitivo, mas é tão gostoso que compensa. Pães quentinhos e uma equipe muito atenta às preferencias dos hospedes. Achei um pouco barulhento algumas noites, mas nada que comprometesse a experiência nem o sono dos hospedes. O barulho vem da rua, haja vista se tratar de uma localidade com muitos bares e restaurantes nas proximidades.

Fantastic location, lovely historical building, tastefully decorated, comfortable and clean with comfy beds, quiet and some of the friendliest staff we've ever had at a hotel. Would highly recommend! That we couldn't stay longer!

Unique older building that is nicely maintained. The hotel, since it is a historic building does not have an elevator. Staff assisted with bags, but may be a factor to consider for some. The area around had lots to do, but didn’t feel comfortable walking around in the night.

Tres beau salon où l'on peut prendre une boisson chaude dans une ambiance musicale et cosy. Petite attention comme un verre de vin chilien offert. Pas de bouilloire dans la chambre, mais possibilité de descendre au salon pour prendre une boisson chaude.

It was a bit impersonal, not much staff engagement so seemed impersonal. Breakfast staff were nice but the breakfast arrangement was weird with pre filled bows of cereal seemed understaffed.

Staff was very welcoming and helped us arrange transportation & tours in advance of us arriving. Great nightly happy hour. Wonderful restaurants right across the street! Funicular is just around the corner. Easy walk to the city highlights too. There are stairs, so request a room on a lower floor if you need that.

• peterphipp5852 (10/5): As good as it looks. - Amazing hotel. Lots of charm and character. Staff are exceptional, food the same, and located in a great spot (I think the area is called Bella Vista) near 100 exciting restaurants. Only one negative - no elevator - for oldies its an issue, but the staff carried our bags so it wasn't a total negative. We travel a lot and we like the best, and the Castillo Rojo did not disappoint.
• cms1909 (10/5): Red Castle in Santiago - Great boutique hotel. Located in the Bella Vista district. Lots of cafes, restaurants. Etc. Within 2 blocks from hop on hop off Red Bus. Very good a la carte breakfast We usually stay there when traveling to Santiago.
• RoseAnneGeorgia (10/5): Wonderful Stay - Excellent hotel. Staff could not have been nicer. Three senior travelers. I had a medical issue flare up from earlier surgery and part of my stay was not pretty. The housekeeping professionals, Giovanna, Digna and Michelle were perfect in every way! Good location, all the amenities one could ask for. Spacious and clean rooms with beautiful grounds.

• Lee (9/5): Castillo Roja - Very quaint and quiet. Very nice breakfast. Fantastic, helpful staff. Location is great for Cerro San Christobel. Plenty of places to eat very close by. Surprisingly quiet considering it is in the centre of Bellavista.
• Hockeydad900 (10/5): Interesting Old Family Home in Prime Location - Interesting hotel in an old house in Santiago. In a very hip neighborhood with lots of restaurants, close to Pablo Neruda's house and the funicular up to Cerro San Cristobal and the park. We were warned that the area around the hotel could be dangerous at night (though there were a lot of people on the streets) so best to take Uber or a taxi rather than walking after dark. The old family home is 4 or 5 stories. The one downside is no elevator so lots of climbing if you are on an upper floor. The staff was very helpful with getting luggage up and down. The rooms are all decorated with different themes - ours was the Poets' Room. Good breakfasts in the hotel.

Lovely interior lounge area filled with books and lots of seating. Great outdoor seating area. Bar in hotel. Bellavista is a bouncy neighborhood, but hotel area is very quiet, also double glazed windows. Attractive pocket park out front. Very close to funicular and zoo.

• archibaldm (10/5): Friendly, lovely and well located - We stayed 2 nights before and 2 nights after a month exploring Chile outside of Santiago. Castillo Rojo is clean, quiet and comfortable. All of the hotel staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding with fresh fruit and fruit juices, delicious pastries and eggs made to order. There are plenty of restaurants within an easy walk. It is also convenient to the subway and the city center - Plaza de Armas - is about a 30 minute walk. It’s going to be hard to leave the cozy comfort of Castillo Rojo.

It's close to a fairly loud bar area but no noise disturbance to the hotel at all. Breakfast was also really nice :) Staff kindly carried out heavy suitcase all the way to the top floor for us. Would absolutely recommend.

• Marjorie (9/5): Excellent hotel with very helpful, friendly staff in a great location - The staff was exceptional. They went out of their way to be helpful. The rooms were very nice and beds comfortable. The first few days we were there, they had an open wine bar in a lounge area from 5-7 which gave guests a chance to meet one another. This changed midweek to a bar, open 5-9, with just one free drink. I didn’t mind paying for the wine but I really liked the opportunity to chat with others that the lounge provided Some rooms could use better lighting

• BucketlistPros (10/5): The best hotel in Santiago - The Castille Rojo is a charming boutique hotel. You feel a sense of elegant Spain in the decor and courtyards. The rooms are plush and spacious. The locale is artsy, filled with restaurants and clubs. The service was impeccable. We loved every minute of our stay. You must go there!!!
• Haveyougotthemap (8/5): A very enjoyable stay. - This hotel was booked for us by our travel agent. We were very happy with the location & managed to walk to each attraction we planned to visit. Breakfast, as previously stated, was very good with attentive & polite staff. The only down fall was the location & size of our room within the main building. We knew before arrival that there was no lift but didn't realise that part of the stairway was stone which made me very nervous. Help was very forthcoming with luggage even on check in after midnight. I suggest asking for a ground floor room if you have any mobility issues. We booked a Premium room thinking that this would give us space, however Premium means bigger bed & with luggage for 4 weeks travelling, we felt very cramped. The wine hour was a big draw for us but on our Wednesday to Sunday visit this meant just one free glass sometime in the evening. A bit of a disappointment especially as there was little to no guest interaction - just unfortunate at the time we stayed I guess. We very much enjoyed our stay & wouldn't hesitate to recommend noting the comments above.

• Peter (10/5): Just a great experience in a unique setting with really lovely people running it. - This is a unique hotel. It is a historic building in a great location. Central and lots of eateries. It has great restaurants. The staff are exceptionally good. In a phases of our stay they were kind and courteous and knowledgeable. Really lovely people. They have a wine at 5.00 where guests meet each other. They helped arrange transport too which is safe and reliable too. Old building doesn’t have lifts. The staff do the lifting though
• Rubennos (10/5): - De ontvangst was hartelijk en de butler is altijd paraat. Ook het wijn proeven om 17u is een zeer fijn moment om andere gasten te ontmoeten. Bed top, douche fijn, ontbijt heerlijk en een mooie omgeving van de terrasruimte en ontbijtruimte op het binnenplein met veel planten. Geen!
