- Shinji (6/5): - 6月7日から4泊利用しましたが、普通のエコノミークラスのホテルでした。 ただ、リノベーションはしてありましたが古さは否めず、特にバス、トイレがもう少しどうにかなれば良いと思います。シャワーカーテンのレールはあるのですがカーテンが無く、シャワーを浴びると洗面台の下がビショビショになってしまい、要改善ポイントだと思います。 あと、チェックインの際に何の説明も無く、部屋にも簡単な照明の説明しかなくいささか不安を覚えましたが、格安ツアーで来られている日本人もいて寝るだけであれば問題無いと思います。 ホテルビュッフェは無かったと思いますが、近くに食べる所はいくつかあり、夜もチェーン店で食べることも持ち帰ることも出来ますので、駅も遠くなく立地としては悪くないと思います。

- Naomi (6/5): - 古いホテルだか清潔にしてあるのでお値段重視の方には、良いと思う。 設備の面では、日本人には不便だと思う点がトイレと部屋の鍵がカードキーでなく、昭和の部屋の押しボタンの鍵の部屋に割り当てられる事があるという事である。 部屋の値段は早期割引とかではなく、値段で部屋のクオリティが変わるので11階になる良い部屋はカードキーでウォシュレットになり、安い部屋は入り口のドアが昭和の鍵になり、台湾トイレになるという事である。 予約する時は確認したほうがよい。 もっとも11階の部屋の値段なら、他にもホテルはある。 もちろん昭和の鍵は外出時にフロントに預ける事になる。そしてフロントの質に格差があるので割り切れる方向き。

- 英棚 (8/5): - 1201的冰箱壓縮機聲音太大聲了。只好把插頭拔掉才能睡。 枕頭有兩款，建議要入住的房客可以註記要較軟扁的，還是比較厚一定的枕頭。

- KAIMEI (8/5): - 航空券とのセットで宿泊しました。 アメニティは歯ブラシ、シャンプー、ボディソープがあったと思います。 泊まったのは11階でウォシュレット有りでしたが、電池が切れかけていました（交換してもらいました。) 早餐のお店も近くに何軒かあり、駅の1番出口から北上したら5分くらいで着くので利便性も高かったです。

- ai535 (2/5): A MAN TRIED TO INVADE OUR ROOM AT 5 AM!!! AND HIS CARD WORKED!!!! - BY ALL MEANS DO NOT STAY HERE. IT IS DANGEROUS. There was a man trying to open our room at 5am and his card WORKED!! I stayed there twice; both times, I reserved the room that appears on the website with a new bathroom, carpet floor, renovated room, etc. Both times, they gave me rooms that were old, with linoleum floors, old bathrooms, and weird beds. I asked to change the rooms both times, and they agreed. However, the first time, they asked me to pay an additional 300 NTD. Overall, the staff is friendly and ready to answer any questions. However, the hotel isn't worth it. The location is just okay, not that close to the subway or any good sightseeing spots. The craziest part, however, is that the second time I stayed there, a man opened my door with his card key at 5 am! I yelled in fear, and he left. I suspect all card keys on the second floor are the same and can open any door. So be aware!

- Hitoshi (4/5): - コロナ前迄は定宿でした 今回も価格が安かったので選びました 以前は朝飯美味しかったのですが 地下のレストランが無くなってしまい 朝飯は外出して食べました (それはそれで良いのですが) ここは上層部はシャワートイレ装備 ですが今回は二階でシャワートイレ無しの部屋 カーペットはシミが目立ち テレビをつけたら韓国の番組がいきなり・・・ 成程と思いました 何度かお世話になった向かいの マッサージ店は閉店 そうなると余りメリットが無くなりました 良かったのは ホテルスタッフが私の事を覚えていてくれた点 次回は他のホテルにするか シャワートイレ付きの部屋をリクエストします
- Chie (8/5): - 周囲にコンビニや食事のできる場所、ドラッグストア等が充実しているし、MRTの駅までも徒歩5分程度なので便利です。 新しくはないものの、施設の清掃は行き届いています。少し不便なのは、タオルをかける場所がトイレタンクの真上の高いところにあり、やや使いにくいことぐらいでしょうか。 スタッフの方々も親切でした。 あと、清掃やタオル交換はしっかりしてくださるのですが、ちょっと匂いのきついタオルがありました。保管方法の問題でしょうか。

- MIYA (6/5): - MRTの南京復興駅から5～6分というところでしょうか 歩いて行くのに苦にならない距離だと感じました ホテルの前にはMRTの中山駅や西門駅行けるバス停 また朝食店・市場・朝市・コンビニなどがあり便利に感じました 部屋は割と広め、バスタブなし ウォシュレットなし 冷蔵庫の冷えはあまり良くないですが、エアコンはよく冷えます Wi-Fi環境はありますが 私のスマホでは接続できませんでした 日本語はあまり通じないと思いますがスタッフの感じは良かったです

- Piotr (10/5): - The location is excellent. The interior is a bit dated but high quality and clean. Staff was friendly. Check in was quick, and all I had to do for check out was dropping the key. The bed was comfortable (a bit on the hard side), aircon worked well and was reasonably quiet. The shower had good water pressure and hot water with no issues. The refrigerator also worked well. I did not use the TV. The 7th floor I stayed on offered no noise from the street and a good view. Two things to consider: 1. The soundproofing isn't great, if there are loud people in the corridor (or perhaps in an adjacent room), you'll hear them in your room. This could be a concern if the hotel were fully booked, which it was far from during my stay. 2. There were only 2 power sockets in the whole room. Perhaps the reception can lend an adapter or an extension cable, I didn't ask. These are minor things though. Overall, it's great value for money, and I'd absolutely stay there again next time I visit Taipei.

- Umeko (6/5): - ホテルが全体的に古く水回りなどが使いづらい。 浴室天井から電源コードがぶら下がっているドライヤーが動いたり止まったりしたが、フロントで家庭用のドライヤーを貸してもらえた。 ベッド脇にコンセントがなく、スマホを枕元に置けなかったのが使いづらい点だった。 テレビのリモコンもスムーズに操作できずイライラした。 ホテルの近くには市場があり買い物客目当ての食堂などが豊富で、美容院やマッサージも近くにたくさんあって便利。 ホテル前のバス停から地下鉄中山駅や西門駅まで一本で行けるので楽だった。

- 896peterv (2/5): Rundown heap - Friendly staff, but. Big but. Soms rooms are redone. But most are not. Then you’ll find a new toilet in a scruffy room, full of painted-over damage, heavily soiled duvets and bedbugs in some rooms. They also have enclosed rooms where your ‘window’ gives acces to the staffquarters instead of fresh air. Breakfast also below par. Bottom line will we ask our travelagent to select somewhere different.

- Verified traveler (6/5): recommend or not ? - We stayed in the City Hotel for 8 days. The first 6 days we stayed at the same room on the 11 floor. The room was very clean and quiet and we enjoyed our stay. The only thing I can complain is they don't have a working dryer and we had to bring our clothes to a coin laundry about 5-10 mins walking distance. It was very inconvenient, but their staffs' sweet and friendly manner seemed to offset some of the inconvenience. We had to check out for one day to visit a different city and they assigned us to a different room on the 3 floor after we came back. The room was bigger with one extra twin bed and that was the only good thing about this room. The whole room seemed really old. The room supply (shampoo, soap...) seemed to be the leftovers of a different brand. We felt even the towels are thinner than the ones we had for the previous stay. On the last night we stayed, a cockroach appeared on the ceiling and the hotel staffs moved us back to the room on the 11 floor. Overall the hotel staffs are friendly and nice. Should I recommend this hotel? I don't know.
- randy (8/5): Nice clean hotel - Hotel is in the older side, but it has everything you need. We had a room with 4 twin beds, with a good size bathroom. The shower pressure is really good. That staff was really good to work with. Their English is better than my Chinese. Lots of places to eat in the area and ealing distance to mrt public transportation
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very cold room and no good breakfast - The room was clean in general. The location is convenient. But this hotel lacked some important items, such as soap holders and air ventilation. Especially, the room had no heaters available and the room temperature was at 18 degrees (same as outside). I asked for a heater but they didn't have any. I ended up using the hair dryer to warm up my body. The breakfast was way too simple and not much to eat. Bread and porridge. They should put some more veggies and fruits for travelers like me. At this price, I will have to find another hotel in the nearby neighborhood that offers 10 times better service, warm room, and delicious breakfast. I will probably not return to this hotel again.
- waypet (8/5): Great location - A great location, only a few minutes from Taipei train station. Note there are three city hotels within100 metres so check which one you have booked. ( city hotel 2 is bright coloured which could appeal to children and young at heart) Rooms were small but very clean , hotel provided free snacks and free use of laundry room . Theres a excellent lounge waiting room and share kitchen just behind reception which we made use of after booking out and chilling until our flight time. Hotel provides a rubber name wristband with contact details, so much better than carrying a business card , it gave taxi drivers instant recognition. ( it also had Taizhang addressand phone number ( next city to taipei) . Theres a great night market within 10 minutes walk which has some excellent taipei street foods ( the deep fried roll situated at the far end is to die for). The subway ( metro ) station are within easy walking , either at the main train station or two other lines, giving easy access to the main tourist sites. Staff were friendly and effecient although english wasnt their best ( on par with my chinese). Would definatley book here again.
- kinginkook (6/5): Very kind staffs - It was hard to find this hotel, because they do not have signboard, all kinds of stuff are a little bit old. but all staffs were very very kind. It take 7 min from subway. Staffs can speak Japaness and English they can not korean.
