Leonie (10/5): Beautiful surrounds, close to CQU campus, comfy, clean and spacious rooms. - I travel reasonably regularly to Rockhampton for uni at CQU. The proximity to the uni is great, plus I am female and travel by myself and feel safe staying here everytime. The rooms are comfortable and the view out the window is beautiful and calming. After a long stressful day at uni, the green space visual appearance mixed with the sounds of the birds is perfect for me. I was happy with everything.

The motel staff called to take payment over the phone so they could leave the key, but they were quite rude in doing so. No phone manners at all. Just kept barking at me to "SPEAK UP!". I was travelling on the highway mate - with average phone reception. How about a bit of courtesy rather than being so abrupt. You're in the service industry. Bed was also one of the worst we've slept in.

Linda (10/5): Great overnight stay away from traffic - The room was spacious and even had a back patio that backed onto beautiful gardens. Very quiet and off the main road. Bathroom was lovely too. Complementary little bottle of water each and 2 decent size milks, not just a little pod. The bed needed to be secured to the bed head, but otherwise very comfy. The dishwasher was apparently broken so the bistro wasn't open so we had to go out for dinner. No big deal as we bought frozen meals and were able to heat them in the microwave. The kitchen bin hadn't been emptied from previous guests, but otherwise everything was clean.

Susan (8/5): Good value room. - Nice garden/pool view and good parking which is undercover and not tight. Nice secure small patio area that room opens to before garden. A hotel is walking distance and shopping centre fairly close by. We booked here due to early flight and going to airport was easy by car ( and GPS) There are some road works that makes getting in and out a bit clunky but that will be resolved and us not the fault of the property.

Great position for travelling north. Good size fridge. Hot water takes a while to reach the units. Not directly accessed from highway. Near roadworks.

Lesley (8/5): The things that count are great - Spotlessly room with a lovely garden view. Comfy beds, super clean bathroom with quality products on tap, even shaving cream! Thankful for double glazed windows and doors, which cut the traffic noise by 98%. Clean swimming pool perfect on the hot days we had. Self catering possible thanks to microwave, jug and toaster in room. Motel only a kilometre from the tavern and takeaway shops. The dining room was closed on the 1st night, due to no cook and the remainder of our stay as it is closed weekends. Smoking allowed outdoors near rooms. Spoke to the owner who says he will fix that. 🙂

We advised the Motel that we would be arriving between 6pm and 7pm. When we arrived at 6.25pm, we were told the restaurant wasn’t open - we had to pre-order by 6pm - nowhere on the website does it state this so we’re extremely disappointed. We had to ask where we could eat locally and were directed to a local eating place. The room photos are better than the actual accommodation.

joyce (10/5): A lovely place to stay - The motel is on your way into Rockhampton close enough but far enough away from the noise of a busy town , an older style motel with spacious rooms Comfortable beds , clean and fresh smelling rooms ,with all the extras you’d expect in a motel room .many rooms look onto the pool and garden area which is clean and inviting .there is a dining room for dinner Monday to Friday if required you can see there is attention to details in the cleaning and maintenance of the rooms , something that seems to be missing from many of the accommodations we’ve experienced on our latest trip . We enjoyed our brief but relaxing stay and highly recommend the Capricorn motel and conference centre . No complaints at all

Christine (5/5): Overall where the motel was situated suited us. The room was comfortable, our only issue was the bathroom and lack of se - Comfortable bed. We were placed in a disabled room, which we did not ask for and were not advised when booking. I would have cancelled if I had known. In the bathroom, because of the short shower curtain, when showering the whole floor ended up slippery & wet, including around the toilet. Using the bath mat that was provided was useless as it was sopping wet and dirty because water ran everywhere and also indicated to me the floor was not very clean to begin with. My husband had to go & ask for fresh towels after the first night because the room was not serviced the next day, which we were not ware of. After the second nights stay, I heard the cleaners servicing rooms around us so opened our door and asked for fresh towels, handing them all the wet ones. The cleaner then came & asked if we needed more of the supplied tea/coffee etc. I said yes but not to bother because we had our own with us and used them.

Katrina (7/5): Perfect other than the demeanour of Management - Very clean, nice decor and modern. Tranquil setting. Manager telephoned at 10:02am (2mins past check-out time) demanding to know when we would be leaving. When I said we would be leaving within 5mins he was quite rude and abrupt. We were only 10mins late past check-out. My partner and I were only commenting moments beforehand how nice the Motel was and we’d definitely be back, before the Manager called. It was very disappointing in the end how rude the Manager was and kind’ve ruined our otherwise very enjoyable stay.
Mills (3/5): - Close to the local hotel for a great dinner. Easy parking. Quiet. When you find the bin hasn't been emptied it makes you worry what else wasn't done. Didn't have a clean feel.

kirsty (8/5): Comfortable, clean and friendly! - The hotel met our needs as we were travelling as a family to attend a Touch Football Carnival. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. When arriving, we were greeted by a friendly staff member which was fantastic.

Jacinta (9/5): Cheap and cheerful - Great location just out of town, great size room. It was quiet, and easy to get food from town. Exactly what we needed travelling through. The beds on wheels kept wheeling around when we'd move whilst sleeping or sitting on the beds, but it wouldn't stop us booking again.
