• Verified traveler (8/5): Shadow channel? - Every things is good except the TV, please do something with the antenna, only TV3 can see clearer, the rest are all shadow channel ??
• K (2/5): - The actual of the room is totally different from the picture , when I step in the room I feel like I get conned by this website and I booked the room for two days . The first night of stay was my night mare . The toilet is very very unacceptable , very dirty and the water pressure is too low , I need to use longer time to finish my bath . I feel like going insane already and the worst thing is when we go to bed at around 11pm the corridor was full of people walking around and the sound is very very noisy because the room and the door don't have any sound proof and they keep bang the door the whole night , we totally cannot sleep and we check out immediately on the second day morning even though we booked this hotel for two days and we have fully paid for it . I rather to move out to a better place than to stay in this so called hotel but it's service and all the facilities inside the room and the environment is very very very very very bad
• zaki (4/5): Don’t even think of staying here! - So bad. Cockroaches infested room. Poor toilet flush. Slow airconditioner. Very loud at night as it is very close to main road. Salute to receptionist. Nice guy working in poor place.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Basic cheap hotel - The reception staff were very helpful and helped me hire a car during my trip. The room is very basic, but does the job - place to sleep & shower. The hotel is located next to the main road and can be noisy when trying to sleep
• Varatharajan (6/5): Hotel good location for value - Good value for staying in Superior Room. Very helpful frm front desk En Din. Very easy to get Malay, Chinese,Indian n fast foods all near by.
• Karoliina (6/5): Reasonable price, friendly staff, great wifi - we chose this hotel because we needed a hotel near Kuah terminal. It wasnt a walking distance from the terminal but it was late and had to go somewhere. the hotel is located in a more local area, there were not many tourists around. The staff was really friendly, the room was ok and the wifi was really good compared to our previous hotels wifi's in Langkawi and Koh Lipe. Good for a 1-2 night stay.

• Vincent Sin (10/5): Good staff and strong wifi signal - Everything are satisfy me. I booked a single bed room, even though the room is small, but very comfortable. Hair dryer not provided, but can request it without extra charges. Also, due to my work, I need to check in early. They allow me to check in at 12.15pm instead of 2pm, and no any hidden fees or charges. Good service!!

• Noraini (8/5): Altis the budget traveller choice - The staffs are attentive, knowledgeable. Near basic amenities places and near to Kuah, easy accessibility to banks.15mins to Kuah jetty.
• Verified traveler (4/5): not bad - bilik sangat kecil, air cond xservice & xtopup gas, tv sangat kecil, bantal nipis dan diberi 2 sahaja, tiada peti ais, tiada meja, tiada almari untuk letak pakaian. jika bercuti berseorangan mungkin sesuai.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Poor experience - This hostel makes me so uncomfortable, I cant even enjoy my trip! Of course, I did change my rest place in second day immediately.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Good central location close to most shopping cente - Hotel is nicely located in the center of the island where 3 shopping centers are accessible. Some other places are approachable by 30-40mins drive like to Skycab, Skytrek, crocodile park etc. Some resturants around the area are not fancy by any means for breakfast but the food is very affordable RM 5-15 depending on what and how much one orders Hotel is very very basic for the price but certain facilities like room cleaning, wifi (very slow), toiletries are not there. Single rooms are very small so if you're alone with two pieces of luggage then you'll struggle for room. Aircon is pretty good though.

• Superman (6/5): Superman - Rooms are small but are serviced daily. Bathroom was also smallish. The hotel was not noisy for the most part. Staff is as friendly as they come. Ask them for directions and general info about Langkawi and they will be happy to help. They are good, easy going chaps. If you have a rented car, there is limited parking in front of the hotel or use the bigger parking behind the hotel. The hotel is very easy to find. Hardly 3-4 minutes from jetty (ferry) point. It is on the main road to Pantai Chenang beach. Located on a corner of the main road and another side road. It might have been me but for some odd reason google maps gave rather complicated directions to the hotel. It was much easier for me to drive there the old fashioned way by reading the sign boards. Kuah town is a small place, no one has ever got lost in Kuah anyway. Many shopping malls and restaurants of all sizes and hues are located nearby. Overall, a good new-year holiday experience at a great rate.

• Bernard (6/5): budget hotel all right for a short stay - A budget hotel with no frills. As has been pointed out by others, the room is really small, just enough for a double bed and a tiny cabinet and nothing else. Other furniture are hung on the wall including the 'mini' tv. Drawer in the tiny cabinet has lizard's droppings - look like it has not be cleaned for ages. The bathroom is spacious but the drain is not big enough to drain the water out whenever a shower is taken. I guess for that price, I shouldn't complain too much, its quite ok for a short stay for 2 persons, after all, it is only for sleeping and resting. Strangely, the cleaner is a man, I wonder if it is a good idea to have a man going from room to room to clean the rooms.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Budget hotel in Kuah - Budget hotel just a few km from the pier. You have to travel to many attractions and beaches on the other side of the island. Staff was helpful and tried to answer any questions. The rooms are small and limited amenities, but good value for the price.

• Hotels.com guest (2/5): Smelly, dirty hotel , bad service - Altis Hotel tiny smelly rooms are situated along a very busy road. Impossible to get any sleep cause you hear every car engine that passes by. Dont pay for wifi in the rooms cause you cannot get any wifi unless you go down to the reception desk. I asked for a refund so I could stay elsewhere but reception refused. To shower I had to stand on the toilet seat cover cause of the size of the so called 'bathroom'. I would any day pay double the price and stay in a cleaner, more friendly environment.
• JON (6/5): Decent locatipon rooms are small weird showers - It was ok, but what can you expect from some of the lowest rates per night. The restaurants near were incredible. Good location for ferry travel and the sightseeing that involves the port. It is a mile or so away. You can however sit on the toilet and shower at the same time. . . The little boy that is a kid of the staff is a treat!!! Go see the geo forest, I swam all the way across and was followed by a crocodile when I was almost on the other side.... CLASSIC
• M (6/5): average hotel in center town - center location. small Room and very small bath room. easy access to main town. no lift. nearby many restaurant's available.
• Damsuki Selamat (6/5): the room is too small, out of my expectation. - the staffs were very good, friendly and helpfull. Easy to excess. No nearby malay food, has to walk quit far to get it. Away from shopping complex. difficulty to parking.
• Globetrotter (8/5): Clean Hotel - The hotel is close to local shops and hawker food offerings and perfecy for a "off the beaten track" experiences. There is no breakfast room yet (I believe this is being planned) and whilst there are Chinese and Indian restaurants closely, it's difficult to find western breakfast closely. The hotel staff are friendly and keen to help.

• Mo (10/5): Very comfortable stay with friendly service - Comfortable and clean room with AC. Very friendly and helpful staff who did all my taxi bookings. Staff were lovely to chat to. Wan Thai restaurant behind hotel was very nice. Short walk to Langkawi Parade Mall, great souvenir shop on 3rd floor, very cheap but lovely souvenirs.
