Guest Reviews
- Martin (10/5): Great Stay - I had a great stay overall. Everything was excellent, from the friendly staff to the clean and comfortable rooms. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the breakfast was enjoyable, especially the sausage, biscuits, and gravy. I would definitely stay here again. Everything was great.
- Edward (1/5): - Nothing other than the front staff Everything, online the pictures of the hotel were exceptional, but when you got to the hotel and I already paid for it and couldn't get my money back. There were drug addicts all around up-and-down the blocks. All day, all night, the hallways of the facility smelt like cat urine the furniture in the room was so old
The chair was falling apart the headboard of the bed cracks there was just an empty space. The rags and towels had holes in them expose nails that we're holding shelves together. I felt like I really got robbed for my money. It was terrible and it was roach's the room I WILL NEVER STAY IN THIS CHAIN EVER AGAIN, also one of the night lights didn't work
- Joel (1/5): It was bull shit - Nothing Smelt like weed and always had homeless people around it and the was no she curtain for the shower that leaked at the head
- Kim (1/5): Horrific - I thought it was convenient to downtown Atlanta When we entered the lobby , strong smells of weed / pot , marijuana , made a remake to the clerk she had no response
We checked in and given room # and keys to an already occupied room , glad we didn’t walk in On someone that could have ended Badly .
When given a corrected room the door had been previously busted you could see the wood damaged.
The toilet kept running the bathroom sink was cracked all across the basin
The TV wasn’t connected .
We witnessed a drug deal right at the side entrance .
When returning from a concert a vagrant right outside the entrance doors of the hotel asked me for Pennie’s .
We then arrived back to the room of which we had only been in long enough to drop our bags to peace for a concert , our return led us to be more observant their was what appeared to be blood splattered up on the wall , bed sheets yellow stains / dirty . Pillow covers yellow dirty .
My husband found hairs still in the bed linen when he pulled the covers back .
Needless to say we grabbed our bags at midnight and left .
We usually choose LaQuinta for stays as they are generally clean and in better areas , not this one .
And because we did not alert the clerk with in 30 mins of arrival there’s no refund .
So beware of this hotel ….

- Christopher (2/5): Staff is great, hotel sucks. - the staff were great, that was this places only plus. as soon as we checked in we noticed a strong smell of cigarettes, the tv was stuck on 1 channel (they did come and fix it).
The pool was full but not open for some reason, and the free breakfast listed on the website, we were informed they are only doing it on sat/sun. no good to us on a Friday morning.
- Tyneshia (4/5): - Room on the 4th floor and the elevator didn’t work

- Jose (10/5): - The staff very friendly nice people always happy I like very clean rooms delicious breakfast thanks
- Paul (4/5): - AC was loud, refrigerator stopped working, the room had a bad odor to it.
- nicholas (7/5): -
- Dexter (10/5): - Friendly staff
- Porter (5/5): -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Unsatisfactory - Iist of issues that affected the stay at LaQuinta:
1. Microwave tray do not spin.
2. Room Carbon/Smoke detector missing.
3. No bathtub water stopper.
4. No toilet paper holder.
5. Floor carpet nails exposed.
6. Rusted hindges on bathroom door.
7. Paint dripping on shower walls.
8. Cracked plaster on bathroom ceiling over vanity.
9. No towel rack in bathroom.
- Adam (2/5): - This was by far the worst decision of the year. Before entering the hotel, my girlfriend and i noticed what appeared to be a prostitute with a baby hanging out on the corner. Red flag number one. Upon entering the building, the air was humid and stale. After checking into our room, we were willing to put up with the broken A/C vent with slight mold and grime, we were willing to put up with very apparent stains on the sides of the sheets.. But when my girlfriend got stuck in the bathroom due to a raggedy, broken bathroom door handle AND the toilet wouldn't flush, we decided we needed a refund and decided to checkout within 45 minutes of checking in. The journey back to the front desk was treacherous. After wading thru clouds of snoke (on every floor), we encountered a drugged out prostitute passing out on the hallway floor. Her pimp was trying to get her back in the room, but whatever she was on was more compelling. We passed this scene and were able to confirm the prostitute outside with the baby was indeed prostituting. Upon reaching the counter, we requested our refund. They told us because of the weekend and festivities and whatnot that they had to wait until Monday to process the refund. Monday came, they claimed their managers were in meetings until 3pm. 3pm came, they claimed the managers were gone until 11am the next day. We've reported the whole thing as fraud to our bank and are opening criminal cases on the staff and management of the hotel. DON'T STAY HERE.
- Jesse (8/5): - Room condition was good and bed was comfortable, did have a issue with the room key constantly deactivating each day of our stay but overall it was a comfortable stay.
- Malik (6/5): - Stay overall two day stay was mid. Apparently the premises is pet friendly. The air in the hallways was pungent. Might be the carpet. It either needs to be deep cleaned or replaced. Room was average. Appliances were disconnected and television had no remote. You definitely get what you pay for, so I really should not complain.
- Brenan (6/5): -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel pictures are nothing alike some are but the breakfeast area was sad didn’t have the waffle either or fireplace , the bathrooms were leaking and the ac made thinking noises randomly at night found insects (roaches) and rooms were just were humid
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room was in alright conditions, but bugs were an issue daily
- Brian (10/5): - Na
- Aaron (1/5): Booking.com should NEVER expose their customers to this type of so-called hotel. - This La Quinta hotel was the worst hotel experience I think I have ever had. I understood that it was in a somewhat run-down area, but I thought that if it was La Quinta, I could trust that it would be acceptable. It was HORRIBLE. Staff, other guests (who mainly seemed to be permanent residents in some type of low-cost housing for poor people). I stayed there 2 nights, a Thursday and a Saturday. On Thursday, when I got there, I spoke with the girl at the front desk. It was only seconds l realized she wasn't talking to me. She was on the phone with a friend using airpods, and couldn't be bothered to talk to a guest she was supposedly helping. I got to my room. It was old and chipped and not very clean. I had trouble finding a light that worked. There was no security swing bar on the door. Part of it had come out of the door because the screws had stripped. I went to lower the window shade, and pulled the chain, and it immediately broke. I tried to lower the shade manually, and after tugging on it, the whole apparatus came crashing down on my head. The bed was okay. The next morning, there wasn't much for breakfast other than muffins, and cereal and apples. I ended up going through the drivethru at McDonalds. The shower curtain bottom was about 2 or 3 inches higher than the tub wall and the curtain rod curved out, leaving a curtain that dangled several inches out from the tub with no way to make the water stay in the tub. After a quick shower, the bathroom floor was flooded, even though I tried to limit the water. I had to use about all the towels to soak up the water.
On Saturday (the 2nd night I stayed) I was denied a handicapped room, telling me "People who book for a month or more get the rooms first. I realized that this hotel seems to be a low-cost permanent residence for homeless or poor people. The people I passed in the hallways didn't look like normal hotel guests. The room above was horrible, with small children running, stomping their feet well past midnight.
- Alicia (4/5): - The hotel was near many popular food options and close to common shops. The area around the hotel and its lobby were clean and decent. The hotel room was the downfall for me….. the carpet had pins or carpet nails sticking out. I killed two small roaches in the bathroom. Furniture in the room were chipped. One of the lights in the room wouldn’t turn on and the microwave was rusted on the inside.
- Trevor (2/5): - I didn't event stay. I left that night to find another hotel. The first room I was checked in to had insects running around the room and even were crawling in the bed. I immediately when back to the front desk to find another room. The second room I went to none of the lights worked. After that I canceled my reservation.
- Guest (1/5): -
- Mia (6/5): - Not the best La Quinta I’ve stayed at.
- Christerphor (8/5): - I love my room it was clean. And it was quite
- Guest (9/5): Great Stay. - It was a great stay the staff was friendly, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. This hotel saved my trip from a last minute hotel change and best of all, wi-fi was excellent. Wish the fitness room was open, but it was under renovation.
- Dexter (10/5): - Nice Hotel
- Paula (2/5): Crappy Hotel - This place is terrible! There was dog hair and a dead roach in the bathtub. The television didnt work. It was the worst of the worse hotel that I have ever stayed.
- Shanoel (5/5): -
- farhana (2/5): - stinky and too darty.
- Cory (10/5): - Good service
- Antoinette (8/5): -
- Alexus (4/5): - The place was disgusting, the lights were out the room they gave me looked like a murder scene. I definitely did not stay here. I’m still waiting on my refund.
- Miracle (10/5): - Very friendly staff
- Lucresa (10/5): Excellent - The cleaning
The staff
Tge pool
The breakfast Nothing
- Q4219FCsamc (2/5): No pest control or refunds - Kill roaches and bed bugs all night and don't expect a refund they justify that it's not there problem. If you're there over a hour no refund but you can leave scratching for your money
- Tequila (8/5): Very good -
- Shem (3/5): The trip was okay, but overall the property needs to be upgraded. - It was quiet. Bathroom had mold, the mattress was dirty and used!!! Other guest had their car windows busted and broken into.
- Ainsley (4/5): Disappointing -
- Ebony (2/5): - Roaches
- Tommy (8/5): - Okay
- Jennings (1/5): Need a refund - The breakfast was horrible and cold. Rooms was very nasty..
- Irries (5/5): Passable - Location was ok front desk was professional room was ok it was clean One of the house keepers was really disrespectful because I won't open my door when it clearly said don't disturb and my room door can be open from the outside with a knife that room clearly has been broken into
- Jamarcus (6/5): Pleasant -
- Patience (1/5): HORRIBLE!!! - It was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The room was dirty, the bathroom was dirty. There were no bath towels in the bathroom, although I was not going to use them because I always carry mine. The hand towels looked much like light dirty white that should be in the trash. The bath mat in the bath tub looked much like it has never been cleaned for the past 20 years.
Even the TV Remote Control in the room was sticky. I had to wipe it clean with wet tissue first. I trashed the socks I used in that room because I didn't want to carry any infection from the hotel back home. And I had to use throw pillow from my car to sleep because the pillows in the room were deep dirty - kind of brownish white.
I called the Front Desk over 5 times without response. I was forced to go downstairs to just ask a question. Apparently, the same person was also managing the breakfast area. Everything about the hotel.
- H4479OMmattheww (2/5): Stay away from this hotel - Room was filthy and couldn’t even stay there. Hotel staff had been putting me off and won’t call me back about a refund. Stay as far away from this hotel as you can. Zero stars. No one stayed in the room and I still can’t get my money back. Friends I was with had the same experience and we all had to book other rooms.
- Kelly (10/5): - The staff is very helpful and professional.
- Tiffany (3/5): Poor -
- Phala (1/5): He’ll Hotel - Didn’t eat was ready to go ASAP Music from room next door and the stumping from above
- Verified traveler (4/5): Never Again. - The cleanlineslevel is severely lacking. Customer service is fair at best. I booked the Exec Suite, I asked for batteries to the remote control, and i never saw the attendant again. I would never stay here again. The carpets need cleaning... desperately. You can smell it when you open the door.
They also have roaches, later learned. I woke up to roaches on the counter and night stand. I had to dump and shake out my bags once outside, thankfully because there was a roach in one of my bags. Its unsafe as the back doors stay open, no keycard needed. Anyone can walk into the building. I ended my stay early after seeing roaches.
- Henry (3/5): Find another place to stay - Wasn’t clean the tv remote doesn’t change tv never again
- tiffany (4/5): Wasn’t what I expected - Well, the bears were made the blind was raggedy. The blind actually fell when I tried to close it. I had a dead roach in the bathroom on the floor and then while I was using the bathroom and I saw another one the toilet barely flushed. It wasn’t as clean it could’ve taken another sweeping.
- Warren (2/5): May as well get somewhere cheaper - Room I booked was not available and my replacement smelled like freshly smoked cigarettes. My replacement looks like some terrible things had happened there. I thought it would be a step up from motel 6 or one of the cheap options but it was not. Also, the electricity and WiFi is terrible.
- Raquel (7/5): I would prefer to stay in Fairburn instead. - I checked in and then I started my walk down the hallway to my room, I could smell heavy odor of cigarette smoke all down the hallway. I opened the door to the room only to be greeted by bad odors in the room and the room was hot due to AC was turned off. I pulled back the comforter only to find the bed linens were dirty and I also found hair on the pillow cases. Looked like the bed had been slept in and comforter had been pulled up and over the dirty bed linens. No toilet paper in the bathroom. The towels in the bathroom look like they were cleaning rags. As the once white towels were dark and had dark spots on them. The AC filters were dirty with what looked like dirt and cigarette sooty. The curtains were stained with some brownish stains. Looking at the AC vents it looked like cigarette trash had been stuffed into the vents. The noice level was very high coming from the floor above the room I was in and from the hallway. Needless to say I did not get very much sleep. And the safety lock was missing on the door to the room. The lady that checked me at the front desk told me when I checked in that it was a very dangerous area, and for me to be very careful.
I had to request clean bed linens, clean towels, toilet paper, and spray air freshener. I made up the bed with the clean bed linens and a clean comforter myself, as they only had one person working in house keeping on the day I checked in for the entire hotel complex. I washed the AC filters trying to get rid of the bad odors in the room. While washing off the air filters in the walk in shower, water got on the bathroom floor and the floor became very slippery and I fell on the bathroom floor. Hurting my lower back, left wrist and both elbows .
- Sherri (4/5): It did not meet my expectations. - Room snelled like a dog. I asked for a king room and instead got a double room where one pf the beds had been removed so there was just a big open space. Dog barking and people arguing in the middle of the night.
- Kelly (10/5): - Everything was great!
- Kayla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (2/5): - Please do not stay here. We checked in and checked out in 1 hour. The first room we checked in had feces under the bed. We were offered a 2nd room which was ajar only to find the door did not shut completely or lock. A 3rd room was offered where the smoke detector did not appear to be properly installed and was duct taped to the wall. The room was again dirty and had stains all over the comfortors. We asked to check out and proceeded to another hotel. We are hoping for a refund.
- Jovonne (10/5): - The staff was real professional, and very nice a nice place to say
- Jovonne (10/5): - The staff was real nice and respectful, and the rooms are very clean and is quiet. Give them five stars.
- Extra (7/5): Overall I would stay again, maybe it was an off day. - I like breakfast and the staff. I didn’t like that my bathroom was not clean someone used the toilet and didn’t wipe the seat. The mattress was lumpy and not comfortable and could have better pillows. I have always enjoyed my stay with you guys this is the first time that I have actually complained.
- Joseph (8/5): Very good -
- Markita (1/5): Bad -
- Kiara (1/5): Bad -
- Reva (2/5): They need to redo the hotel - Simply put the hotel had a funny smell. tge room were old looking. The TV did not work. The bedding was dirty looking dingy. I canceled my stay because of those things
- S4717RLjacquelinec (2/5): BAD AND HORRIBLE HOTEL - Disgusting hotel. Dirty, drugs, zero stars, full of low-level people! I cancel and they are not sending my money back. I hate this hotel.
They were very dishonest with me.
They spoke to me at reception and said I wouldn't have to pay anything.
- Marquis (9/5): Very comfortable stay and friendly staff. - Amazing stay with amazing staff! Would like to personally thank Miss B for making our stay wonderful. She was so accommodating. Will surely visit again. Everything was great.
- Kevin (10/5): Great Stay - Had a great stay, bed was comfortable and wi fi was excellent. Indoor pool was closed due to ongoing renovation, Sausage, biscuit and gravy was a good touch. Everything was great, rates were pretty good compared to other hotels in the area.
- Mary (2/5): - Dirft
- Patricia (7/5): Good -
- Alex (2/5): Only as last option. - The place needs an update ASAP. No toiletries in the room. No shower curtain so everything got wet. The other rooms were so loud you could hear the tv. One of the bed did not have bed sheets.
- Kera (2/5): Filthy. Stay away! - Bed was filthy and looked like someone had just slept in it. Blood stains on the floor. Phone was disgusting. Heater had vents broken and mold inside it. People yelling and fighting in the halls. Scared. Left immediately!!
Front desk said to reach out to Hotels.com and they will approve a refund.
- Constance (2/5): - Nothing everything was wrong wouldn't invite no one to stay here they need upgrade
- Willette (2/5): - Arrived to location around 7-8pm Friday night with a pre-checked reservation.. There was no staff present..waited 25 min calling out for someone.. had to use restroom..lobby restroom not available.
Staff door leading to front desk left unlocked so i opened door still calling for staff to get no response.
Because i opened door the gentleman rudely gave me a room key... With a rude statement " I'm probally going to get fired"
i explained i will talk to manager but i had been driving for 6 hours and really needed to use restroom.
Room 316 was horrible, no blankets on bed, no trash can in room, room smelled like weed factory like Hotel front entrance.. mattress not visually safe to sleep in, then use bathroom and roaches surfaced.
I return to front desk to let staff know about room condition, and he says "manager called and said cancel your reservation"
I was baffled and asked to speak with manager directly (Beulah)and he the staff on duty replied " she does not want to talk to you.
I exlained i was calling phone and the guy states "oh i was on the 4th floor and the phone dont ring " I found this unbelievable....
This left me in a very difficult situation of now finding another hotel and limited funds because he was nor able to refund me funds directly.
This was by far the WORST hotel experience , awful customer service.
what i was later told "Never stay in union City GA.
This cost me double of money i didnt have because i had to find another hotel..
- Theresa (2/5): Very poor - Bed was broken The price was not worth it.
- Anthony (2/5): Never again - They put me in three rooms the final room. Had no hot water no covering for the bed maintenance brought me some covers but they were dirty and stained..tv did not work mold in the room refrigerator
