Prachtige kamer, mooi zwembad met een adembenemend uitzicht ! Het ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid en voldoet aan al onze verwachtingen. Ook is het mogelijk om er te genieten van een uitgebreid diner tegen een redelijke prijs. Voeg daarbij de geweldige service en gastvrijheid van het personeel dan kun je dit niet anders belonen dan met een 10 !! Niks

- john (10/5): Beautiful and quiet - I was there in late September and there were only 6 of us (from what I counted) having dinner in the restaurant, which was outstanding. No one was there. The place is absolutely amazing and beautiful. I was there on my touring bike as I was bicycle touring in Umbria. The sense of peace and quiet was unmatched in my travels. I would definitely go back.

I recommend they add a Nespresso/Coffee machine in each room and/or a kettle. Alternatively, offer an accessible coffee machine for the guests in the common areas. At breakfast coffee is good. - Martin (10/5): Fantastiskt - Detta boende var den största behållning under hela vår Italiensemester. Ett fantastiskt läge i ett fantastiskt hus med magnifik utsikt både från rummet men framför allt från poolen . Frukosten var på alla sätt och vis utmärkt. Det fanns lite av varje och för alla smaker och med en lokal/regional prägel. Mycket trevlig, tillmötesgående och närvarande personal både i reception och matsal. Rummet med tillhörande toalett med dusch var stort och med välfungerande AC och gav ett välstädat och genuint intryck. Kan också starkt rekommendera den ridning som arrangerades via hotellet på gårdens ägor och omgivning. Ett mycket trevligt och prisvärt sätt att komma direkt ut i omgivningarna. Ridningen varade i 90 minuter och var en hel upplevelse i sig med en trevlig och tillmötesgående guide. Snälla hästar (för mig som inte är så van vid att rida). Trevlig och god fixed flerrättersmeny erbjöds varje kväll som man fick ta ställning till om man vill ha vid frukosten. Kan rekommendera både denna middag på boendet, men också att prova på den mycket trevliga restaurangen CECI som ligger på promenadavstånd från boendet. Kan verkligen rekommendera detta boende om man vill se en genuin del av Italienska landsbygden i smålyxig förpackning. Inget

Camera molto grande con vista sui colli, bagno spazioso e confortevole, tutto con arredi in stile. Molto bello e curato il giardino dove si trova anche la piscina con vista. Ottima la colazione, ricca di prodotti freschi e buoni. E' possibile cenare in struttura, noi non lo abbiamo fatto, ma ogni mattina ci è stato proposto un menu diverso. Migliorabile la pulizia di camera e bagno, che, almeno nel nostro caso, abbiamo trovato un po' superficiale.

Het eten op onze eerste avond was heerlijk, een perfecte start van ons verblijf. Het personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam, maar een speciale vermelding gaat naar Mieke - een echte topper! Een extra plus waren de twee hondjes, Jacques en Mowgli. Hoewel we normaal gesproken nieuwsgierig zijn naar nieuwe plekken, kunnen we ons goed voorstellen om hier zeker terug te keren. Het was echt een top ervaring!

Mieke en Bjorn zijn Belgen die de uitbating doen en hebben ons een fantastische vakantie bezorgd. Echt thuiskomen! De bedden waren voor mij persoonlijk wat aan de harde kant.

The garden/pool area is a dream, and it’s located far away enough from the big city that you can enjoy the countryside but close enough that you’re 25-45min away from the most charming Umbrian towns. We’d like to share our kindest regards with Mika, the restaurant Manager, the Chef and the cleaning staff. They all seemed to work tirelessly throughout our stay, with nothing but warm smiles and beautiful service. Room for improvement: We felt some of the customer communication was a bit condescending/didn’t match the overall positioning of the property, such as notes warning guests they’ll be charged for taking home complimentary products (meaning, simple body shower gel/lotion!) or for changing pool towels… Just minor rules or warnings that misalign with premium hospitality, meant for more mature audience.

Dai giardini alla struttura è tutto impeccabile; le camere spaziose e arredate con un design classico ma decisamente raffinato, ogni camera è a suo modo affascinante! Abbiamo pernottato qui per il mio addio al nubilato e non potevo fare scelta migliore! Lo staff è impeccabile, ci hanno coccolate e accolte in questo luogo magico! - Breanne (10/5): - By far the biggest highlight of our trip to Italy was staying at La Ghirlanda. The property itself is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Umbria. The staff were incredible! Especially Claudia who made us feel welcome right away and was always there to help or answer questions. The food was the most delicious of our travels. We also took a cooking class with, the owner, Amalija while staying and it was so much fun! Beautiful property. Clean, quiet, comfortable. The only reason I didn't give the area around the property a full 5 stars was that there really isn't much to do around it. But if you embrace all that La Ghirlanda has to offer you're sure to have an incredible time.

Complimenti per le condizioni in generale nelle quali è manutenuta!
- GP (10/5): Tour dell'Umbria - Tutto, a cominciare dalla accoglienza di una simpatica professionale ed efficiente Juliana alla meravigliosa e curata struttura allo splendido panorama alla ricca colazione e alla deliziosa cena. Una menzione particolare alla visita in cantina con degustazione fatta con il preparatissimo Fabrizio. Un posto magico dove tornare.

- Christian (7/5): Old English nobility - We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of September and booked a double room. The house is very well maintained and everything is in an old English style. The room was spacious and clean. The pool is in a great location below the house with a view of the hilly landscape. The pool is 6*6m in size and is not heated, so the water was very fresh. The breakfast was very plentiful, very varied, with lots of fresh products. For dinner we always ate in the surrounding restaurants, as we didn't appreciated the menu on both evenings. The staff are extremely professional, friendly and helpful and speak good English.. It is very quiet in the hotel and there is not much to do in the immediate area. Montefalco is about 25 minutes away. A car is a must have. Thank you for your hospitality 👍 We were surprised that egg dishes were charged extra, e.g. €2 for a boiled egg. The room unfortunately smelled musty, even after opening the the windows constantly. The mattress was too soft for my taste. The bathroom is tiny, about 1,5*3m, and could get with a little renovation as there was some moult here and there.

- Beverley (8/5): Very enjoyable, peaceful, relaxing stay. - We loved the old world ambiance of the property, the location was lovely, the view was stunning. We had a car so no problem with visiting other places of interest as the property is quite isolated which is what we were looking for. The pool and the gardens were relaxing to sit, read a book and look at the view. We had a sitting room with our bedroom which was a lovely area to sit. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Breakfast was just perfect with a nice amount of choice without being too much. We had dinner there for 2 nights which also was beautifully cooked, but maybe just a bit too much food as it's a set menu. We would have like to have a kettle with tea & coffee in the room as well as an iron. As the property is quite isolated there is a shortage of other venues to eat, particularly as the villa kitchen is closed on a Tuesday night, so a booklet with details of other venues and places of interest, local markets etc. would have been very helpful.
- Robertson (9/5): Peaceful - It was a beautiful way to unwind and relax, with everything you could need. I felt very calm after being here. The staff are sometimes hard to find, however makes it feel like you’ve got the whole mansion to yourself at times. It is hard to get to without a car, but they can help with private transfer ($$)
- Shannon (10/5): Beautiful hotel with excellent dinners - A perfect stay. We had 4 nights booked and added a fifth because we loved the property so much. Beautiful views, comfortable beds, gracious staff, excellent meals and meal service. Breakfasts were a good variety of items. Dinners were beautifully prepared and presented on the dining terrace. The grounds and views are expansive and beautiful. We enjoyed wine tour and tasting that was engaging and fun. Originally booked the dependence but switched to the junior suite when we saw it—a beautifully decorated room. No complaints. Everything was perfect!

- Ceracchi (10/5): Esperienza perfetta da ripetere! - La struttura è incantevole, sembra di entrare in una tenuta ferma in un tempo incantato. Il giardino con la piscina che si affaccia sul paesaggio circostanti è molto piacevole e le stanze sono accoglienti ed eleganti. Colazione ricca, cena e light lunch semplicemente deliziosi, e gustare tutto nel giardino rende questi momenti ancora più speciali. L’esperienza della degustazione in cantina è stata fantastica e tutto il personale è cordiale, disponibile e accogliente. Grazie!

We really enjoyed dinners, the food was always delicious. If you are a wine lover, this place is definetely for you because Montefalco Sagrantino from their winery is fabulous. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the room was comfortable and really clean. I hope someday we will come back! Everything was perfect.
- fabio (9/5): Sei giorni in campagna. - La posizione e quel fascino della casa di campagna nobiliare che riportava in un passato ottocentesco. Lo staff gentile e molto professionale. La cucina tra le migliori della zona. Magari i bagni delle camere sarebbero da risistemare un pochino e i tappeti scendiletto li eliminerei. Più igienico il solo cotto.
