El agua se demora mucho en calentar , y no es muy caliente, hay un ruido de la alarma contra incendios que suena toda la noche , recomiendo pagar en dólares ya que te aplican un tipo de cambio demasiado alto y desproporcionado con el real 3.80

• Daniella Belen (7/5): Regular - Me agradó que la habitación era amplia, también que todos los días venían a ordenar y limpiar la habitación. No me agradó que en el desayuno por ejemplo venían pan con palta pero en la foto ofrecían más palta mientras que a la hora de servirte no te ponen casi nada. Si van a incluir un desayuno dentro del precio debe tener una ración considerable no escatimar tanto en algo como la palta. Lo otro que tampoco me gustó es que si uno pide una toalla, una almohada, etc se demoran demasiado en traerla. La cochera deben tener en cuenta que es muy empinada entonces es un poco difícil estacionarte ahí.

• Luis (5/5): - La ubicación es perfecta, está cerca de todos los lugares de interés en Huaraz, el servicio de limpieza es excelente y la habitación siempre la dejaron impecable La habitación que me dieron es muy pequeña y encerrada, no tenia iluminación natural por lo que no se sentía como una habitación normal sino algún tipo de cuarto que no estaban usando y decidieron transformarlo en habitación, para que saliera caliente el agua había que dejarla correr por lo menos 10 minutos, lo que causa un desperdicio de recurso fatal, y aún así, no salía del todo caliente....estaba en el piso 2 y el WiFi era pésimo, se caía cada 5 minutos y en un par de ocasiones se cayó por más de 2 horas. El servicio de desayuno era muy básico y en muchas ocasiones desordenado, mi último desayuno pedi la opción "La joya" que incluía dos tostadas con palta y dos rebanadas de tocino, me brindaron dos rebanadas de pan sin tostar, y una sola mini rebanada de tocino

• Jason (4/5): - I stayed for several days. The shower was not hot. One morning I took a cold shower but didn't complain. I was lucky to get a almost warm shower most of the time. The staff was excellent at the front desk. I had to ask for shower towels a couple of times which is inconvenient. Front desk and restaurant was excellent but I wouldn't stay here again.
• ANDY ALARCON (6/5): Viaje por Trabajo - El Hotel tiene buena infraestructura, habitaciones limpias al igual que los espacios comunes. Las habitaciones son comodas y espaciosas. Tiene problemas con el agua caliente. El sistema de calentamiento de agua es pesimo. Por otro lado el personal de counter es descuidado en algunos aspectos.

• Happy (10/5): - Excellent and super kind staff with genuine desires to help! A group of us stayed here for many days and all had a great time. A restaurant in the hotel opens at 7 AM and closes at 10 PM serves very nice foods. Areas within 1.5 miles radius are full of excitements with all kinds of street vendors, all within walking distances. This hotel is very close to the city center, where courts, local police, national police and first responders are located. So, naturally, it is safe area to be. High mountain peaks are all viewable and hiking trails can lead to the local hill top that is approximately 11,000 feet above sea level, roughly 2 miles of walking. Once you’re on the top, you can see the whole Huaraz city.

• glendaa300 (2/5): Horrible - I stayed with my mom and my teen daughter, I ran out of toilet paper I requested a new roll they reception refused. I had to call furious. They sent a small roll. We only received one set of towels and we are 3 persons. The hot water takes 10 minutes to get hot. When my daughter tried to get a hot shower there was not more hot water.I requested to clean the room they never did . There’s a lot of staff but the staff is lazy my mom went downstairs and requested the toilet paper and they laughed on mom’s face.

• Lucas (4/5): - Repulsive. I heard a lot of noise yesterday from 11PM to around 4AM, loud music, banging on the walls, and people yelling. The manager proceeded to explain that those are their “hotel parties” and that they “only” throw them every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - this HOTEL THROWS PARTIES UNTIL 4AM. Those parties can be heard very clearly throughout the entire hotel. That’s not even mentioning the rooms and the manager; the rooms smell like mold, the water ran brown, the WiFi simply doesn’t work, the AC was absolutely INFESTED with mold, the cleaners barged in on me naked, and the views from the back rooms are of slums, about 15 feet away from the windows. Furthermore, the manager Liz is beyond condescending, tried hard to deny us a refund (that we ended up having the get through Expedia after reporting the Hotel as a health hazard and talking to customer service for hours). Liz, the manager, did not know I spoke Spanish, and I overheard her telling one of the staff to “get them some free food quick so we don’t have to pay their refund”. After we managed to force a refund through Expedia, she turned even more sour, attempting to contact Expedia to attempt to give us only a partial refund. Absolute joke of a hotel. The ONE upside I can possibly come up with, is that all the staff (Except the manager) are lovely people who were absolutely willing to help.

Ojalá se actualizaran algunos detalles de la propiedad que merecen estar mejor dada su calidad. La azotea es magnífica y tiene una gran vista de los nevados quizás ese espacio podría adecuarse más para los turistas. Gente muy servicial, vale la pena el hotel.

Willingness to modify the reservation at the last minute (shift to one night versus two). Connection to the internet was good in the morning, but not so good at night. There was a safe in the room, but there were no instructions on how to operate it, and it did not seem to work.

• Paul (5/5): Passable - Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our stay. This is no longer a 3star hotel as we understand it. The staff were smiling and charming and nice to us. But that didn't overcome the issues. The hotel rooms and corridors are very depressing. They desperately need a makeover. The hotel is cold. There is no heating in the rooms. The corridors are open to the outside at the rear. The doors in the restaurant are always wide open. We always find it strange reading the notice about water sustainability and towels when you have to run the hot water tap for 5 minutes to get any hot water and waste water in the process. In this instance you could have run it all night and there would have been no hot water. The system didn't work. We didn't wash for two days. When we complained about this we were told it was often a problem with piso 3. We weren't offered a room on another floor, just a room on the same floor with the same problem and the hotel was far from full. We had to ask at checkout as no discount was offered. Be warned!

• W5658WEjosea (8/5): Vacations - It's a really great hotel. The staff are kind and welcoming. Installations are great but the elevator is a little to small for big families. I really recommend for families not bigger than 5 members. The food hass good flavor and there is a lot of peruvian varieties. The one thing I complain is that there are no tours so you would need to find some in plaza not difficult but tedious.
• marioaldr (10/5): Excellent service and great staff. - Ok so we were looking for a hotel to stay in Huaraz during our tour trip for 6 days, from the moment we entered the hotel a very welcoming staff showed us all the services available and helped us with all the commodities and tours we needed, the rooms are very well fixed with comfortable beds and hot showers, the cleaning staff is really good and respectful, about the food and room service well all I can say is that it is delicious and promptly served. Overall I am more than happy to give this hotel a max score, I invite you to visit Huaraz and stay at this wonderful hotel.

• St_Renee (10/5): Nice hotel - We stayed in the hotel for 3 days before and after trekking in the Cordillera Blanca and during that time we stored our luggage in the hotel; very friendly service but they only spoke a small amount of English; our room was clean and quiet; bathroom freshly renovated; the hotel is mostly frequented by local business people and families; breakfast was good; hot and cold drinking water was always available in the lobby.

• 105amberw (10/5): Great hotel - We arrived in Huaraz, Peru during their Easter holiday on a last minute booking. Since our bus was overnight, we arrived to our hotel at 6am. We were greeted by friendly and receptive attendants and given free water. The hotel is clean and smells nice. Since we arrived well before check in time they initially allowed us to leave our bags with them while we got breakfast at their restaurant. Our group was big at 17 people and they were able to accommodate us in the restaurant. They then decided to let us check in way early which was much appreciated since we didn't really sleep on the bus. Overall it was a good experience.
• R222OYjonathane (10/5): Great! - La Joya Hotel in Huaraz, Peru was a fantastic experience. We came with a large group of 17 people. We received a warm welcome by the staff and they were able to accommodate us right away. We arrived from a long bus ride early in the morning and they let us check in. They also helped us setup a tour guide for our hike to Lagoon 69. I would highly recommend this hotel.
• 326dickg (8/5): Very friendly staff, good beds, poor breakfast,good shower - I booked this hotel for my trip to Huaraz for 3 days. The pictures on the website are like it is in real. A very nice and warm bed, the most important thing for me in a hotel. The staff in the reception are all very very friendly. The staff that arranges the breakfast a bit less in my opinion. Breakfast is poor, but that is common in Peru. Just 2 small typical breads from the mountain (delicious) with marmelade and some coca tea (or coffee) and a fresh juice and that's it. But it tastes very nice! A small improvement that I see is that in my room the curtains couldn't be closed totally but I think that will be not so easy to fix, it is more the shape of the room. I had a small issue with the bath and they immediately came to help. I felt very welcome in this hotel and if I ever go again to Huaraz I could book it again.

• N5534CKdavidm (6/5): Wheelers beware. - There is no wheelchair ramp. You need to go up 14 steps to get to the elevator. They had a couple of busses of teenage soccer teams in, but was quiet after 9:30. The room was comfortable....they deserve 3 stars. A good restaurant on site.

This hotel is good value for money, and the hotel staff arranged all of the tours I wanted to do, giving me several options, and arrangibg for pick ups at the hotel. Don't get me wrong, the bed was comfortable, the shower was good, well scaled rooms, clean, but not "Four Seasons"). Everything you would want and expect from a hotel at this price. And more. The service was amazing, simply outstanding. - Made me toasts to go when I had to leave before breakfast started (in lunchbox). - Spotless room everyday. - kind/happy/helpful reception. - actually GAVE me a room when I came back from the airport after learning that my flight was 4/5 hours late (Free, and without hesitation) The only problem i had was a noticeable level of sounds from the street (To be fair, the streets were very loud in general). All in all, a very pleasant stay!

No safes to store valuables. A bit of street noise (Peruvians love to tap their horns, though it quiets down late night) but better than a lot of places. I would recommend.

Recomiendo éste lugar porque representa todo lo bueno, que se expecta en un magnífico hotel. Nos gusto la decoración de los cisnes, hechas con las toallas.
• 963ingridm (4/5): Not a service of a three star hotel - The hotel has low service level for a three stars hotel , its doesn`t have a garage , we came at 2:15 pm on Thursday 17th from Lima in our own car, we were very tired at the room was not prepared, we wait for 20 minutes to check in , they didn't have a garage for car we let the car on the street outside , the rooms have locked the windows without any ventilation and we have to wait another more than 25 minutes running the water for took a shower because it's only get out cold water....if you came to Huaraz find another hotel to stay ...

• RGS (6/5): Nice Hotel - We book thru Expedia but it take them almost 1 hr to check in. And finally they made a 3 bed room into a 4 beds . We were very tide.

• 328daveg (8/5): la joya hotel Huaraz Peru - I am really impressed by the quality experience I have received at La Joya. I have lived in Huaraz for 8 years, and without a doubt this is the best bang for the buck. Nice, friendly staff. Clean. Good hot water. Pretty decent food. Spacious rooms, at a fraction of the cost of the Hotel Andino. They are trying to upgrade the business center computers and wifi routers. I really felt at home here.
• NorthWestEastSouth (2/5): Give it a miss (Very poor experience) - One of the noisiest hotels I've ever been in. Very loud music from the bar until 5:30am. Then two hours of peace. Then construction all day. Dingy rooms, depressing interior. The lovely smell of cheap air freshener everywhere. The staff was very friendly but overall, a hotel to give a wide berth.
• Lara2690 (8/5): amazing place- amazing hospitality - this place is truly a diamond - I arrived at this hotel at 10.30pm after an eventful journey on a motorbike and covered in mud - they didn't bat an eyelid and were more than helpful. I had also been bitten by a local dog - they organised a Doctor for me in 10 mins to sort out rabies jabs etc. This is an amazing hotel in a very poor, remote and wild area of Peru. Running water on tap and electricity are rare for locals here. Run by a staff team under 30 years old - nothing is too much trouble- their hospitality is amazing. They have Wifi in reception, the rooms are spotless and there is also a laundry service. The food itself is poor but I found the food awful everywhere in Peru - it's a third world country after all. However the service is friendly and thoughtful and more than make up for this. If you find yourself in this village I believe this is the best hotel you could find - for me it really was a diamond.
