The area was easy to commute and safe. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and quiet. The shower pressure was too low making it too cold to enjoy a shower. There was only a partial enclosure to the shower which further hindered the ability to enjoy a shower, as it was very drafty.

The staff are the greatest! They are always friendly and supportive. This is our go to place to stay when in the Duluth/Sugarloaf area.

• Angelia (9/5): I would most definitely stay again. - Very clean and great location. Booking. com didn’t send my second room information and the staff wasn’t helpful except for Donyell. She was very pleasant. I spoke with someone on the phone from the back office and she wasn’t helpful at all. Kind of rude and she only transferred me to the front desk.

She provided her business card if we had any additional Issues. Include parking. The additional parking cost to park outside in un secured lot is not ideal.
• Steve (4/5): It's not up to par to the previous Marriot Residence Inn that I stayed in before. - Location is convenient. Staff was friendly, informative and helpful. First room assigned to me, room 117 had strong stale food smell. When I requested replacement, room 521 was readily available within 5 minutes. I appreciate that. However, we have mechanical grinding noise from the refrigerator and sanother fan that came around 3-4Am intermittently in my 2 days stay there. Side table had residue of some kind of liquid. Shower pressure started off weak, improved after I moved it to hot but then it was too hot. HVAC was inconsistent as well. I didn't complain because I happened to wake up due to jet lag in those 2 days of stay. Another odd experience was at breakfast, the wait staff told me to clear the tissue/napkin that I was using. She must have thought that I would leave a mess, a poor assumption. I cleaned up after my table and ended up bussing the plates myself. I'm not a slob, but it is probably not a good idea to assume that I would leave those mess behind.

We are very pleased with our stay and highly recommend this property. This Residence Inn was completely renovated in early 2024 and is clean, comfortable, and quiet. However, the best feature of this hotel is the staff. All the staff at this hotel including front desk, breakfast service, housekeeping, and maintenance have made us feel like family. I would especially like to acknowledge Nelly, the housekeeping supervisor who diligently cleans our room every week.

• Jason (10/5): Great Experience from Check-In to Check-Out - We had an excellent stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious, and the breakfast team went above and beyond. The hotel was quiet, comfortable, and in a perfect location—close to the Gas South District, restaurants, and shops. We also loved having The Bistro and Starbucks right next door. The noon check-out was a great added convenience. Highly recommend! The only issue I can think of is that the Internet TV was very slow and would pause over and over during a show, making it hard to watch anything. One of the lights beside the bed didn't work, but that wasn't an issue. We had plenty of light.

• mihaib1975 (10/5): Solid choice for a good stay in Duluth / Suwanee - Very good hotel in the Suwanee / Duluth area. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and my most recent stay was April 2025. I have a regular studio room which was clean, up to date and well maintained. The kitchen was fully functional and it had all the appliance and utensils neede for a 2 week stay. The bathroom was very clean and everything was fully functioning. The hotel does offer free breakfast in the morning but I have never tried it as I preferred to have breakfast on my room. There is also a pool onsite and an outdoors grill for BBQ'ing. The hotel has started to charge for vehicle parking and at the time of my stay the rate was 10USD per vehicle per day. The staff are very friendly and pleasant. I would be more than happy to stay there again if I find myself in the area.
• G5593MHmoniques (2/5): Trust your 1st mind - Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to stay as a first time guest. The rooms aren't maintained well. Markings on the walls, shower floor visibly stained. Bathroom door had chipped wood. These cosmetic images could be over looked. But when I turned on the bathroom faucet, it begin to make noise while what looked like a lavender colored water came out. Concerned about using the water and after having an unpleasant check in where my card was intentionally charged two different amounts, I decided to check out of the hotel and find other accommodations. No accountability for their error was acknowledged, shown or given. After showing the GM the dirty running faucet water, nothing was said. Staff failed at providing positive resolution for their error. But receives an A+ in staring and being amused by unprofessional service.

• Trail694390 (8/5): MOST of the staff is amazing. - My stay was generally pleasant. The room was clean, and most of the staff were friendly and accommodating. However, on our last day, one staff member --AN OLD BATTLE AXE -- was not as welcoming. We needed a baggage cart but when there weren't any, we started grabbing out things in 3 trips. On the 2nd trip our room key was already disabled and instead of simply giving me a new key I was grilled about having a pet. SHIRLOCK: yes, we had a dog. She insisted I fill out the form (which I thought I already completed but it could have waited until we go the rest of our things and the dog -- a car was already on file). She was mean about stating the fee (I KNOW there is a fee). She also accused me of getting loud with her when I asserted myself to explain to another employee about what was going on. She is not a fit at all.

• jeffreyh273 (10/5): Sheer perfection - I am not sure when this hotel was built but the upkeep made it look like it was built last week. Immaculately clean. Rooms more than spacious. Beds heavenly. Extra large shower. Staff tremendous. Kudos to Miss Vickie at the desk, the two breakfast attendants who worked April 5 and 6, the shuttle driver who took me to the arena with the shared shuttle with the Courtyard next door (and the maintenance man at the Courtyard who organized it). The only very small negative was no potatoes at breakfast (heard it may be a corporate decision). Will definitely return if come back to area for another event at GasSouth Arena.

Oh " you can come down and we can give you a sheet". Back pain from the crap bed. Full price for half amenities. I dont care that i used my expedia credits for this stay and dont care that it was one night, we wont be using this place again. BTW breakfast was crap

• LevaStyles (10/5): Comfortable Stay with One Missed Perk - The Residence Inn Duluth Sugarloaf offers a great stay in a nice, convenient location. The hotel is clean, with adequate parking and a welcoming atmosphere. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful, and the team that prepared breakfast went out of their way to ensure guests had what they needed—a big plus for starting the day on a good note. The location is another highlight. It’s close to a grocery store, restaurants, and the freeway, making it easy to get around or pick up essentials. My only disappointment is that they no longer provide coffee after the breakfast hours. I understand the reason they gave—that it’s wasted—but it’s a small touch that adds a lot to the guest experience. One of my favorite features of Marriott hotels has always been the all-day coffee access, and its absence was noticeable. Overall, it’s a solid choice for comfort, convenience, and service. I’d love to see the return of the coffee station, but even without it, the Residence Inn Duluth Sugarloaf still delivers a great stay so I'm still rating it a 5

Here we are a couple of years later, and it is still in pristine shape when it was built. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. We will be staying here again on our next visit. • Tamla (10/5): - They don't have enough parking so be there early, The staff was super nice. The rooms need a little maintenance in the shower area but I love the studio mini apartment rooms

• Cheyenne (8/5): - It was a pretty righteous stay, I found 1 cockroach ( already dead ) but other than that the cleaning was excellent! Very quite. And their breakfast was very good! I’d definitely stay again.

• Tenika (4/5): Not what I expected - The location was not far from the venue I traveled to attend for my birthday. My room was not clean at all. I arrived at around 6:00 on September 6th & I had a reservation at 8:30 so I got my things from my car & then started to get dressed. I returned to the room around 11:45 pm & when I got in the bed a dildo was in the bed. The front desk person immediately came & changed the sheets for me. So I got up the next morning & then began to look at the room which apparently had not been cleaned at all. The housekeeper manager reluctantly stated that it had but there was no way it could have been.
• David (10/5): This is a great location for attending concerts at Gas South Arena. We will definitely be back! - The property was very nice, and the staff were even nicer!

• 138jordenf (10/5): Amazing staff and facility - The staff at this hotel is absolutely amazing. They keep the place very clean and are more than happy to help you with anything you need. The house keeping manager was available and super helpful through out our stay. We will absolutely be back. We can not say more good things about the crew including but not limited to sandy and Rochelle. Again thank you for this amazing stay.

• Anahi (9/5): I would recommend it to a friend 100%! - The breakfast was a hit or miss to be honest. To be fair, I had to be there at certain times. Other than that, the service and the overall quality of our stay was satisfactory.
• Larry (7/5): Very nice place to stay. - Close to Gaslight convention center Entry not covered for loafing/unloading.
