davidmO4553JA (10/5): Sympathetic staff - Just moments after checking into the room and getting physically sick to the point of throwing up before even reaching the toilet It was necessary to move to a different room. The staff was very accommodating and understood the situation.

The guys at the front helped when they could and were pleasant, but one seemed mildly annoyed when I kept asking for stuff like creamer, a paper plate, or a piece of bread to make toast.

Les (4/5): - This property has some of the worst wifi I have ever experienced. If you need to get online to do some work, do not stay here. I had faster internet as a teenager and only had dial up,and that is notan exaggeration. Otherwise the hotel is ok, and you're getting what you pay for.

Room was good and updated, bathroom light over vanity was not working and fixed promptly when I notified the front desk. I was disappointed in breakfast. Typical waffles, cereal and lots of carbs. No hot protein. I am used to seeing the breakfast include some type of egg (scrambled or little pucks) and a protein (sausage or bacon), or even hard boiled eggs. This was lacking all that.

Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel for the money - Check in was a breeze, Staff was very friendly and check out was just as easy too. We left one morning to do some visiting of family and I meant to tell the front desk to repIace the hand wash rags and towels for our room but I forgot to tell them. When we got back though, all of the towles and washrags were replaced! I would stay here again. The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars for cleanliness and condition was because there was a stain on the bed (on the side of the bed top mattress). Other than that, everything else was great!

It wasn't fancy but it was quite nice; clean, odor-free, well-maintained, nicely organized & welcoming. There was one small issue that turned out not to be a problem. When we had checked in, we mentioned that we would need to stay an extra night and the young lady at the front desk said she would put in the reservation for the last night's stay. On Friday morning we found she didn't put in the reservation. It wasn't a problem being we were able to "check back in" when we checked out from our original booking and were able to stay in the same room.
William (4/5): - There was mold on the shower curtain, you could hear people talk through the walls, the bathroom door didn’t shut all the way, the breakfast was very limited, the bed was super hard and uncomfortable, the pillows where the size of couch pillows (not actually bed pillows- so I went and bought real pillows), the mini fridge would almost fall out of its little cubby almost every time you opened it, the chair inside was so dirty we never sat in it. Needless to say I would NEVER stay at this location again. Horrible.

outerspaced1 (8/5): A Pleasant Stay - These rooms are gigantic. The room itself was clean and had everything you could want or need. The hotel grounds seemed clean and well maintained. Location wise there is everything you could want in a two or three mile radius. My only issue was my bathtub faucet kept dripping quite loudly (I just closed the door). I would recommend this hotel.

anthonydA5207TR (2/5): Terrible Experience! - I have never been treated so poorly by a hotel receptionist and the management in my life... It was evening... probably around 10pm-ish, and I was feeling a little hungry. I asked the evening receptionist if the Mexican restaurant next door was open. She seemed friendly and told me she doubted that it was, but figured I would check. I didn't realize that I forgot my room key until the door closed behind me. I asked the receptionist, who I literally just had a conversation with (on the other side of the door) a moment before to let me in. She said she wouldn't let me in without a key. I told her I was staying with my friend and gave her his name... She asked me if I knew the room number. Well, I thought it was 215... But it was 216. I gave her my friend's name and she insisted that she would not even try to call our room and simply resolve the issue since I didn't know the room number. I was disturbed by the fact that she was so callous to me. I asked her if she was just going to make me sleep outside all night. She then decided to accuse me of being rude, and even told me I was the worst kind of person because I was a Veteran, and I should know better than to treat her badly because she is a Prophet Of God. She then threatened to call the Police on me and force me to leave the hotel in the middle of the night even though it was paid for. Then the manager called our room and was not apologetic or even interested in how we were treated, and told us we were not allowed to leave our room for the rest of our stay. This will be the very last time I will stay at this hotel, and I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.
karenhR2223MN (2/5): Horrible experience. - We went to South Carolina to take care of my parents. The hotel was dirty and unwelcome. We woke up the next morning to get breakfast. There were roaches around the coffee pot. We proceeded to our room to find bugs on our bed. We went to the front desk and they did NOTHING!! They were rude and did not offer any solutions to a different room, refund, or apology. We had one more night booked and they refused to give the refund. Manager was rude and could not even apologize. She said she didn't care if there were roaches in the coffee.

266jennh (10/5): Great stay even for a late arrival - My son and I were traveling from Florida, We literally left the beach and hit the road. Typically, we would just hit a rest stop and grab a quick nap, but we needed a good nights sleep and a shower. We arrived around 2 AM and thankfully they had rooms available. The young lady at the front desk was very polite. The breakfast they provided they were out of quite a few things, including coffee, but after notifying the gentleman at the front desk, he was quick to come over and get things refilled. We don’t eat much for breakfast, but they had my son’s favorite waffle. Iron and coffee was good for me. I also had their biscuits and gravy. Surprisingly the sausage gravy was pretty good. The bed was super comfortable!

Robert (8/5): Wyndham South Mauldin Review. - Service here is alright. Some days my room was not cleaned. The chairs in the rooms need to be cleaned as they have stains on them. For the price it is generally a good place to stay. Loved the jacuzzi tub in the room as the water gets very hot. However the showers are badly designed. They are very slippery when showring and water gets all over the floor due to the new shower design.

From the moment I checked in, the level of cleanliness was noticeably poor, with an unpleasant odor lingering in the hallways and visible grime in the common areas. The room itself did not fare much better, with stained linens and a musty atmosphere. However, the most alarming incident occurred when a hotel worker entered my room without prior permission or notice. This intrusion was not only inappropriate but also raised serious questions about the safety measures and guest privacy protocols the hotel follows. Overall, I found the hotel to be both unsanitary and unsafe, and I would strongly advise against staying here until substantial improvements are made to ensure guest security and cleanliness.
shipmanzane2481 (2/5): They were not offer you the Loyalty program they did not want to see use their trash can on the property and we stayed 1 - This was a trip to visit family and we were not satisfied we were never offered the Loyalty program and when we did request it we were not offered it and then either we tried we tried to trade out towels that were sold and we didn't get any kind of clean towels back into the next day

Lindseylum (4/5): Has good elements, but needs more renovation - Price is right, lobby looks good, parking is easy, then it goes downhill from there. First, not many have mentioned this but second floor has only steps up, no elevator. A big handicap for me, and I couldn't get a first floor room. Carpet in halls was dirty and had white spots in it, and light in hallway by my room was flickering, bulb was bad I guess. Room commode seat was broken, and loose, very Uncomfortable. Tub is so slippery I took a shower at my own risk, holding on to shower curtain rod. Room had an odor too, and carpet did not seem clean. Room amenities were small but adequate, bed was comfortable. Lighting was adequate, chair was comfortable. Had a microwave (with flashing time it was not set, irritating) and small refrigerator. Lobby food was better than a year ago, applause to the hotel for that upgrade, great new coffee machine. Hotel has potential but needs new carpet, an elevator, and some room deodorization. Also I saw no fire protection on the stair near the front desk, and it appeared to be wooden, with dirty carpet on it. Overall, the price is 50% or more less than better hotels, so I have to say if price is your primary reason to stay, this hotel is "geter by", and is near some food places. I had nice tree view from my second floor rear room. But I wouldn't want to stay there more than one night. And I probably won't come back.

Masuncha (8/5): 2 night stay - Great experience. I usually don't stay at 2 star rated hotels, but it came highly recommended. I was only supposed to stay 1 night, but booked it for a second night. The HVAC on the first night was loud and noisy. The second night stay was in a different room and was excellent. They have updated the rooms in the hotel. I love the King with double bed room. Great concept! I highly recommend it and will be staying there for any future stays.

Linda (4/5): - This property is very old and run down. When we first arrived we were given a smoking room, but our booking showed non-smoking. We were told the whole hotel was non-smoking. Not true or a patron ignored the rules. The room smelled awful. The staff was terrific and moved us to another room. Overall, however, they could do better. I'll give them props for quietness, but the breakfast was terrible. The juices were completely watered down and everything (except the waffle station) was pre-packaged. There is no elevator (or it was broken) and as seniors, we had to carry our luggage up a flight to the 2nd story. I would think this is an ADA violation. The decor is "religion specific", which may be considered off-putting to some. The water pressure was virtually non-existent. Towels and sheets were well used and fraying. There are several other hotels nearby and I would suggest going there. While inexpensive, remember you get what you pay for!

The room smelled like smoke and the fan in the bathroom was loud and rickety Everytime you turn on the light. 3rd shift front desk was rude and acted as if I was an inconvenience after travelling 12 hours straight. They requested a 100 dollar deposit unless your on some list...in case you smoke in the room. Which you'll get back in 10 days. There were chicken bones laying around at the property outside the door and other trash items. It was disgusting.
