Guest Reviews
- James (10/5): Maybe I should be keeping this a secret... - The pyramid cabin was great. Everything inside was thoughtfully organised, right down to the measuring cups in the kitchen.
We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Food preparation was easy as we had all the implements at hand. We made duck soup with buckwheat noodles.
The beds were warm and we didn’t even need to use the electric blankets.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a lovely stay. We really liked the quiet area and simplicity. The pyramids were really interesting and contained everything we needed, they were pretty basic but really only needed a lick of paint to be a really nice place to stay. We enjoyed the wood fire at night and canoeing around the lake.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Peaceful property with lake and canoes, free bikes. Nice villa with fireplace, full kitchen with everything you need.
- David (10/5): Great family / quiet getaway stay - The stay at this property was great, it’s perfectly situated in a slightly secluded area; perfect for family get aways.
The property surrounding is well maintained, with the unit itself being very neat and tidy, it’s nothing posh, but it gives a homey feel. All the amenities are as expected in any holiday accommodations, if not more.
Definitely good value, & look forward to going back there to stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the design of the pyramids. They all feel so isolated and close to the bushland
- Chelsea (10/5): Loved our 2 night stay! - Loved the accommodation! Pet friendly!
Excellent fireplace and plenty of pots and pans for cooking
- Damon (10/5): - It was a unique and beautiful resort that was comfortably tucked away with great views and privacy. I felt comfortable and relaxed the entire time I was there, and would definitely consider returning again.
- Debbie (8/5): Bush retreat - A wonderful place for a city family to enjoy the bush life. A comfortable place to stay, a dishwasher would improve the facilities, otherwise there is everything you would need for a break.
- Kristen (10/5): Grampians cabin - perfect for families with dogs - We had a great time at The Pyramids. The welcome was lovely and the hosts went out of their way to help us with our dogs (where to walk them safely, how to assemble the fence on the patio so that we could leave them when we went into the National Park). Apart from the kayaking on the lake, there was plenty of space for the kids to roam and also play cricket and soccer, etc. and in the evenings there was plenty of couch space for us all to sit and watch a movie by the log fire. The bbq was terrific and we enjoyed sitting out to eat lunch each day. The bathroom was clean and very functional, as was the kitchen. The location was central and easy to find, and also very peaceful. Basically, everything was terrific and we will definitely be going back next year!
- Evelyn (10/5): Ideal for larger families from all ages - These houses are different with a spiral staircase for the upstairs bedroom, something different but ideal for larger families or groups wanting to get away. We stayed in winter with some nice touches like the wood all pre-cut for the awesome wood fire. Very clean, beds were comfortable with good heating / cooling. Kids can grab a bike and you can canoe around their lake. Great place for families only 5 minutes drive from Halls Gap.
- Leanne (10/5): Great Getaway! - Super comfy accommodation with all amenities, beautiful surrounds, very peaceful (July). Would be perfect for large families with kids too, canoeing, bike riding, mountain climbing, lots of wildlife.
- Julia (10/5): - Facilities: Home away from home; Value: Fantastic; Service: Flawless; Cleanliness: Spotless;
We'll be back for sure

Stayed before and would stay again. Wood fires, bring your dog, all the comforts and things you need. And right in the beautiful Grampians. Ideal.
- Peter (8/5): Unique! - Unique shape and design! Has all the creature comforts required for an extended stay, completely self contained. Upstairs loft gets a bit warm as all the heat from the heaters travels upwards. Nice added touch of wood heater (as well as electric)
- Ruth (10/5): - Facilities: Home away from home; Value: Affordable; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Spotless;
- Carmel (10/5): - Facilities: Modern, Distinctive; Value: Great deal; Service: Professional, Respectful, Courteous; Cleanliness: Beautiful;
Bikes available, good selection of DVD's, canoeing and kayaking anytime. Our teenage girls loved the loft and the balcony under the stars at night.
