Guest Reviews
- Clancy (10/5): - Very friendly and accomodating staff, Villa was very nice and always cleaned
- Leif (8/5): -
- Monica (8/5): Romantic and fun - It is close to the sea but very quite
We ask to change from the villa on the upper side to the one close to the shore and it was much better As said this one in the picture is some 80 meters on the hill , it remain close to the sea but not so nice and special as the others
- Callan (10/5): Amazing day, would definitely rebook this accommodation. - Staff were absolutely amazing. The food was fantastic and excellent with value. Location is a little out the way but that’s exactly what we were looking for. Located right on the beach and a great little bar only 100 m away. The mattress was a little bit soft for my back but most are. Outside of that I could not pick anything.
- Sophie (8/5): Overall, a lovely stay. The staff were wonderful, attentive, friendly and helpful. Pool was gorgeous - Pool, view and staff were awesome. Brekky was a tad repetitive. More options would be great. Aircon was a bit rubbish. Bit hot overnight for me. Bathroom could’ve been more private.
- Dino (6/5): It was a pleasant stay but the facilities, accomodation and amenities in the room need to be seriously upgraded to bring - It was a beautiful property and well situated and positioned It was very old and not well maintained. It was dirty and needs a lot of work to bring it up to a quality standard. It’s a nice property, just a real shame it’s very outdated and has not been looked after !!
- Magdy (8/5): -
- Chris (10/5): - We were going to a wedding at the seseh villas so this Sejuk villa was literally 1 minute walk to there - and wedding.
Rustic and homely Balinese - beautiful caring staff, breakfast was fabulous and the private pool was awesome ! Highly recommend !!
Thankyou Sejuk villas
- Udaykumar (4/5): Great location. Overpriced. Property urgently needs upkeep. - The location is on a quiet beach. The attached private pool was a welcome relief from the heat! Beds were very comfortable and the staff was very polite and helpful. Breakfast was sumptuous The property undoubtedly has seen better days. It’s a wooden house badly maintained. The kitchen was bare. No equipment, not even a kettle. The living area is not air conditioned and is very stuffy. The enterance to the second bedroom is through a window. I have never seen something like this before. The concept of an outdoor bathroom is nice but not when you find a lizard on the toilet seat in the middle of the night. There was dirt behind our bed. We had one meal at the resort (beware there is nothing in a 30 min radius!!) and the food was really bad.
- Leroy Lee Jun (10/5): - The villa is well cared for despite its age. Sadly the surrounding area is starting to have development so its best to enjoy it while there's still paddy field around it.
- Errol (8/5): Overall we had a very relaxing and beautiful holiday. The daughter of the owner is highly delightful, But then she would - I liked the Balinese style. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very enjoyable. The evening meals could be improved and to a better standard. The shower kept on going hot and cold.
- Daniel (10/5): Very friendly staff, and lot's of privacy. The private pool is a highlight. - My stay at Sejuk Beach Villas in Bali was delightful! The villas offered excellent privacy with direct beach access and private pools, creating a peaceful retreat. The staff were warm and attentive, always ensuring a comfortable experience while respecting my space. The food was tasty, with a nice mix of Balinese and Western dishes. The in-villa massage was a pleasant addition, adding to the relaxation. I’d highly recommend Sejuk for a serene, luxurious getaway! Honestly couldn't say a bad thing.
- James (8/5): - Cosy place nice people
- Valentina (5/5): This accommodation does not live up to its advertised four-star rating - 1) The staff is friendly. They asked if cleaning was necessary - I like it, I don't need daily cleaning.
2) The food is good: I had two dinners (fish and chicken in curry sauce). The fish to me more salty than necessary.
Breakfast includes eggs, a large bowl of seasonal fruit, and good bread. Not bad at all. The breakfast lacks variety.
For a more varied breakfast, I recommend Seseh General Store. It's a small place, the food quality is good. 3) The location is good: there are warungs nearby and good cafes within walking distance. I recommend Elisse Chinese Comfort Food. There are several massage spa nearby.
A quiet, quiet area, a beach for walking, not for swimming. I stayed at Villa Pura.
The villa is extremely old, run-down, and shabby. Partially constructed from bamboo, it’s being eaten by insects whose droppings were frequently scattered across the floors, particularly on the veranda and in the bathroom. I had to clean the table near the sink and the floor in the bathroom several time a day due to these insect excretions. The bathroom floor resembled one covered in finely ground coffee.
The fabrics were worn-out and far from fresh. Both the curtains and the sofa desperately needed laundering or dry cleaning.
There is an old refrigerator, the rubber band on its door is covered with black mold, inside there is a small freezer, which is covered with ice. I understand that the climate is difficult for kitchen appliances, but I would do it in an hour to clean the rubber band and defrost the refrigerator.
This accommodation does not live up to its advertised four-star rating. The price—ranging from about 180 to 290 dollars per night—is grossly disproportionate to the actual quality provided. While this might pass as a humble apartment, it is by no means worth 200 dollars a day.
- Kate (9/5): Very enjoyable for all 4 days. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would recommend -
- Berrak (8/5): It was a great vacation. - People were friendly and our villa was nice. It had enough privacy and the food at the hotel was exceptional. It was also close to a beach club and had an impressive sunset view. Difficult to communicate with staff because of limited English.
- Lubos (1/5): What a nightmare - What a nightmare. Almost everything in the villa broken, worn out or not working. Stale smell in the villa, dirty toilett, mold walls in the shower, dirty shower curtain touching you while using a toilett, wash-basin torn out of the wall, hanging on a piece of wire. Window not possible to close completely, stays 3cm gap. Doors to the bathroom and kitchen hard going, very difficult to open and close, making a lot of noise. Fridge door blocked by the floor, not possible to open. Holes and gaps in almost all walls, the door must be secured with a wooden bar to keep it closed. The picture on the wall not anymore hanging as on the picture from Booking.com, fell down so stays down. Beach umbrella holds open by using rusty nail. We immediatelly booked another place and moved out.
- Raymond (10/5): Exceptional - The location is perfect 3 minutes walk from the beach with a beautifully sea view and very private.
Villa Uma is a wooden house, very clean and comfortable.
The staf Made, Kadek 1, Kadek 2, Ilu and Ura are so friendly and helpfull, they really take good care of you.
I will definitely come back to this hidden gem.
Raymond
- Worldguy (9/5): Costal stopover at the end of Bali trip - In a way it is perfect spot on the west side of the Bali island with very quite location connected to the beach. Villa was huge with 2 sleeping rooms and we were only 2 persons. Easily 4-6 people can stay in this villa. Pool was very nice and water was with the right temperature so we used it many times per day to cool down or even to have a drink in the pool. We did floating breakfast also in the pool. Villa has 2 bathrooms. One is connected to master bedroom and it is outside while the second one is connected to smaller bedroom and it is covered and inside. Directly from the terrace and pool area was green walking zone connected to the beach with private sun beds belonging to villa. Sunset was amazing from there. Next to the villa was one bar and restaurant at the beach (2 min walk) with kitchen open till 9 pm. Near by 5 min walking was pizza place with kitchen open till 10:30 pm. Next to it was 24/7 market place (grocery store). Villa had good position since big beach clubs are around to the both directions. Luna Beach Club is about 20-25 minutes by car to the north west and Finns Club was 25 min by car to the south east. Therefore perfect location from that point of view. Ubud is about 60-75 min by car as well as international airport. Hosts were very nice. Reception is closed after 9 pm however security is none stop at the main gate. We used room service a lot since food was very good and cheap.
And remember to get Grab APP which is south eastern Uber. They will take you everywhere for very low costs. Villa look like on the photos, just you have to add 5-10 years of usage. That was little bit at the first impression strange feeling, but everything was working well and we got used to that old fashion rustic look. Just be prepared for it. Breakfast is served in you villa and it is every day more or less the same. No buffet option.
- Ruchir (2/5): Overall beautiful - From an ocean front perspective. Yes it’s very close and also private pool is nice.
I am writing this review to help people booking this property and also help the owners improve
1. The toilets have cobwebs everywhere
2. There are ants all around the room. Especially on top of the toilet
3. The doors don’t lock
4. The paint seems to have been done a few years back and needs a lot of touch up
5. Aircon is really old and does not cool
6. Funny insect, gecko and lizard noises coming from inside the vents and light holders and wood panels.
7. Very low lighting in rooms. Hardly able to see anything post sunset
8. Plants and trees in the property especially the rooms seriously need to be maintained.
9. The bed linen has to be washed. Everything is dirty.
10. Breakfast has only one option. We stayed for 3 nights and it was very boring to eat the same everyday.
11. When asked for a few additional hours, it’s polite to just say that we are fully booked. But please don’t say - no we are not booked and we will charge you half the day rental for 2 more hours. Seriously!!
12. No privacy. The staff comes in the private pool area anytime they want. There is no lock there. The room anyways does. Or lock. Have to use a wood log to keep it together.
13. Shower is pretty. But no hot water post 5 pm. And when you shower it’s like playing with water in the entire bathroom. Because the shower heads are too old and there are no water curtains.
Anyways overall a very beautiful stay.
- Marc (8/5): Very good -
- Arjun (9/5): Superb - Fantastic location (right on the beach). Excellent staff. Well designed villa with a lovely pool.
- Pauline (8/5): Lovely peaceful resort with villas. Perfect if attending a wedding next door - This is a lovely resort of 1-4 bedded villas most with private pools. It’s beach front. We were attending a wedding at the resort next door and was perfect for this. Near to a couple of beach restaurants but the food and service was just wonderful here. Personally served to your villa as is breakfast. It’s in a very quiet place so not ideal for some but a lovely step back from some other places hub bub. It is quite pricey but really personal service and good quality lovely villas.
- Christian (10/5): - Great location, beautiful environment.
- Stephanie (10/5): Perfect villa outside the busy area of Canggu - Great place to stay. Nice quiet area with several food options within walking distance. Our villa had a private pool with a partial ocean view. It was just what we needed to end our time in Bali.
- Damien (10/5): Amazing staff with amazing views, meals and all up great time. Thank you Sejuk. See you again - The staff at Sejuk were amazing! So friendly and so helpful at any time of the day. Security was amazing and so helpful too. Amazing views and cleanliness was great! Will definitely be back! Thank you so much for a great holiday 🙏❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏😎👍👌👏 Nothing could be better. It was awesome 👌
- Esraa (9/5): Superb - The only thing that I did not like was that the privacy was not 100%
However, it is not their fault. the villa has a view on the beach. So, this was expected. And they really did their best to protect our privacy. And, by the end of the day, it was fine. We enjoyed it!
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Very relaxing - Everything about this villa is wonderful. The location is excellent and the food was good. We will be returning one day. The access to the beach was a bit of a climb.
- Gordon (10/5): Exceptional - staff staff staff amazing so friendly.... having to leave
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - I love everethings. It is a peacefull place, a little paradise. Very quiet and beautifull. U can see sunset on the sea every day.
The manager Made is like a mother and the laddies work there are so nice.
Food is very good. I can say more but i leave u to discover it by yourself.
I recommend Sejuk Beach Villa 200%.🙏🏼😁🙏🏼 Nothing.
- Lien (8/5): Very good -
- Mosfeka (10/5): Tropical paradise of luxury and relaxation. - Sejuk Beach Villa's location right on the beach was a dream come true. Waking up to the sound of the waves and having direct access to the beach made our stay incredibly special. The villa itself was a paradise. It was beautifully designed, spacious, and equipped with all the modern amenities one could wish for. The private pool added to the sense of luxury. The staff were exceptional. They were not only friendly but also incredibly attentive to our needs. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The food served at the villa was top-notch. The chef prepared a variety of dishes that catered to all tastes, and the seafood was especially fresh and delightful. One of the highlights was the sense of privacy and tranquility. It truly felt like our own little piece of paradise, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We noticed that there were a few too many ants and bees around the villa. Although this did not significantly detract from our overall enjoyment, it did require some extra caution, particularly when enjoying meals outdoors. However, it's important to note that this was a minor issue in an otherwise exceptional experience, and the attentive staff did their best to address it promptly.
- Salika (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): Peaceful and perfect - The whole 6 days were perfect. We couldn't ask for better staff and accommodation Everything was superb
- Heinz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dominiquewiesmann (10/5): Simply amazing! - Everything was amazing, especially the staff. Miss Made and the team made us feel home from the first minute onwards. They took well care about us, cooked amazing food and always with a big smile. It was the perfect ending to our holiday to just relax and enjoy the pool and massages. Thank you very much for everything! We will come back!!! Great location but expect a lot of traffic if you go to Canggu or Seminyak. Only thing missing was a mosquito net over the bed because of the geckos pooping on the bed sheets and spiders in the bamboo villa.
- SANDRA (10/5): Merveilleux - Merveilleux séjour ! Très belle villa sur la plage.
Je reviendrais avec plaisir
- Ashish (8/5): Very good -
- Deborah (9/5): Beautiful view great breakfast - Peaceful No washing machine
- Cathryn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eva (7/5): Not as great as the price - The house and the whole complex are beautiful.
The bed is huge, the bathroom is spacious.
If you want to stay at a nice place and not go anywhere from there, it’s a good place to relax. The price is too high for what you get. For this money you’d expect basic things to work as they should, but f.e. once you start showering, there’s no hot water and it spills all around the bath. Or once you come to the bathroom mirror, you’ll notice that the frame is broken & dirty from the insects.
We lacked privacy. We wanted to have a quiet place just for the two of us to enjoy ourselves, but once you come out from the house people see you from every side all the time & stuff is coming to clean something at least 6x a day (even when it’s not necessary).
Breakfast was super basic with very low quality coffee, dry scrambled eggs, no bacon/tasty bread, nothing to make you smile by eating it. The fruit was ok.. But for 250€/night we’d expect more.
The location doesn’t offer much. Once you leave the complex, you get garbage on the streets & beach, a few restaurants, but that’s about it.
- Robin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mcgibney (7/5): Good - The staff were great and looked after us. You can get everything delivered to your villa, 7 to 5. Breakfast was just right. Great privacy. Nice private pool. In room massage service. We probably got the least nice villa in the complex, it wasn't bad but not everything was in good working order. We had arranged an airport pick up but it took 30 minutes to find driver and traffic to villa was very bad.
- Amor (9/5): Superb -
- Amor (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (5/5): enjoyable staff were great but probably need more training in certain areas - location on the beach was excellent private pool lovely some facilities old and not in proper working condition
- Lael (9/5): Superb -
- John (7/5): ok place otherwise disappointing no hot water and location was too far - staff and the actual villa no hot water and location is far from everything
- Bulatsiraev (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely amazing view on the ocean, villa is very private and has a good quality interior. Everything was perfect. Nothing to mention.
- Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Retreat and not luxury and not value for money - My husband and I chose to stay at this property primarily because of its exceptional review 10/10). I would rate it more like a 7/10 and here are the reasons-
Good things- Amazing staff, very polite and helpful. Great view from the sea view villa with a private pool and beach.
Not so good things- not value for money. We expected it to be a luxury stay but it turned out more to be like a retreat with no reception or restaurant or any other amenities. Meals can be ordered at the villa. Breakfast is served at the villa and we got the same menu (fruits, eggs and coffee/tea) both the days we stayed. The location is far from the main city and very secluded so could to difficult to get grab/gojek.
In summary, it’s not a luxury stay and for a detox retreat, it’s not value for money. You will find much better options in much less price.
- Curtis (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (7/5): Very romantic for a couple. Pool is lovely and private. - I did not arrive until around 1am in the morning and my driver found the security guard who took me to the villa. Staff are not available until 7am. The bed was very hard. I was also not informed that room service was no longer available. Not a huge problem as you could order with Grab. I would not suggest drinking any spirits or cocktails at the beach bar to the right of the Villa. I did not realise how isolated the area is, however if you are wanting a very private and romantic beach escape is a very romantic and private villa, this is the the one to stay at.
- Wen-ling (7/5): PERFECT OCEAN VIEW. - THE FOOD IS A LITTLE EXPENSIVE BUT VERY NICE. ROOM IS LARGE, COMFORTABLE, WELL-EQUIPPED, AND I LOVE THE VIEW. SWIMMING POOL IS CLEAN AND TEMPERATURE IS NICE. STAFF IS HELPFUL-SOME ARE VERY VERY FRIENDLY PEOPLE BUT SOME ARE NOT, DEPNEDS ON YOUR LUCK. CAT IS CUTE, AND GOOD COMPANY. LOCATION IS PERFECT. WOULD LIKE A DETAIL WHEN CHECKED OUT. TOO MANY INSECTS GIVE ME ALLERGY. YOU'LL NEED EARPLUGS DUE TO GECKO IS LOUD AND SOUNDPROOF IS NOT OK---BUT LISTENING TO WAVE AND SLOWLY SINKING TO SLEEP IS VERY GREAT.
- Bakathir (6/5): Pleasant - -The location; beach front for whoever wants a scape
- Helpful, kind staff (when the are available) - No staff available after 5pm (their duty from 7 am to 5 pm)
- The restaurant close by 9 pm
- poor insects control
- Area around the beach is not clean
- Dexter (8/5): Great place to be with a lot of privacy if you don’t mind bugs. - Great property on the beach next to a nice little beach shack with a fun staff. your own pool and property with plenty of space. It is next to a rice patty so there were a lot of bugs that got into our rooms and we had a small infestation the last night. Unfortunately the rooms didn’t have bug nets on the bed so we got a good amount of bites. There were also a good amount of critters living in the ceiling and in the rice patty that enjoy being vocal throughout all hours of the night.
- Leonard (10/5): Arrived and left. Asked for refund and was rejected and did not even stay for 2 nights. Ridiculous - Nothing at all Villa was Run down and secluded
- Sid m (10/5): - It was excellent
- Geoff (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andre (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ahab (9/5): Superb -
- Edoardo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (10/5): - Just the most perfect pool villa I’ve stayed in. Nestled between the beach and rice fields, quiet, private, amazingly built in old timber. Highly recommended place to stay.
- Adrianna (10/5): secluded and relaxing - beautiful and secluded away from tourist area! hotel easily made for transport 30 min ride to center of Canguu. if want secluded, beautiful, quiet…. this is the place. if want party scene stay somewhere else. nothing. local atm walking distance doesn’t get funded so bring $ or go to town
- Rich (9/5): Superb - Pros: great location, very quiet, wonderful property and staff, local beachside restaurant next door for sunset drinks, a handful of solid restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk, easy 40-45 minute walk down the beach to Canggyu and Berawa beaches Cons: a bit far for spur-of-the-moment day trips into Seminyak (one ride took 90 minutes due to traffic congestion), the property’s airport transport was 3x more expensive than getting a BlueBird taxi

- Eda (10/5): peaceful and romantic - It’s a lovely villa near the black sand beach. You can chill on the beach but too wavey to swim. And there is a good beach restaurant 3 min walk from your room.
Breakfast was very good. Staf is kind and helpfull. We had a great time. It’s a nice villa for honeymoon. They will try to charge as soon as you make the reservation. If they can’t they cancel the reservation immediatly. Before we made the reservation via booking we made reservation via an other website which doesn’t recommend pre-payment nevertheless the hotel canceled that reservation.
I think there is some confusion in the photos of different villas. Ask about room features before reservation.
It is a little bit away from the Canggu centre. If you need a taxi don’t use local ones. Use mybluebird app.
- Vikram (9/5): Fabulous. Would love to visit again. - Gorgeous villas with a view to kill for. The adjoining beach at Canggu is one of the best beaches in Bali. The staff are very friendly and courteous with respect for the guests’ privacy. All in all, a golden find for us. Almost perfect. If I were to nitpick, they can try improving the shower’s water pressure.

- Anthony (10/5): - Great location if you want to be in a quieter area. Fantastic beach views.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff / service was outstanding, and so was the property layout, pool, and it’s architectural design.

- Swati (10/5): Nice hotel on the beach - It was a wonderful hotel with our private pool and practically on the beach. The staff was amazing and we had a great time. The only downside was that it was a little too quiet and further away from the hustle of Bali!
- Verified traveler (10/5): A personal paradise - Amazing staff, we feel like we have friends in Bali to come back to stunning location. Loved getting back into nature
- Daniel (10/5): Excellent villas - Great villas perfect for friends or couples, all situated on a beautifully landscaped piece of oceanfront property with direct access to a black sand beach. The staff were friendly, proactive, and responsive - we really felt like we were staying at a 5 star luxury retreat. Highly recommend Sejuk if you're looking to stay in this part of Bali.
- Brandon Yuen (10/5): Warm hospitality & excellent beach-front location - The rustic wood/bamboo room and outdoor shower took some getting used to, but once we got into the awesome private pool and listened to the crashing of the waves as we looked out to sea, we knew we were really going to enjoy our stay. The in-house meals were excellent and very reasonably priced, and the wonderful service from Wayan, Made and the rest of the staff was just icing on the cake! There's not much in the immediate neighbourhood, but if you're looking to get out a bit, the villa has its own car and driver available for hire. It's about 30 minutes to Seminyak and an hour to Ubud, depending on traffic. We went out for one day, and then decided that we'd rather spend the rest of our trip in the villa enjoying the pool, the view and the food (try the perkedel & the Balinese pancakes!) Oh, one more thing, there were many insects outside the room, but none inside. And we did not get a single mosquito bite. Awesome place... great value for money!
