Guest Reviews
- Isabella (7/5): Comfortable, lovely stay - Convenient , affordable and comfortable.
My stay was really comfortable and nice.
Bed had electric blanket for warmth. Room was quite warm and cozy considering there was no heating.
Shout out to the staff member, was professional and understanding, was really helpful in room relocation (was crying baby for hours! No fault of the accommodation but it doesn't help for rest and sleep).
My original room was great, only because of the crying baby I requested a move. And thank God because I had best sleep post that☺️
Parking available on site.
- Jon (7/5): Thanks for a great stay -
- Allison (8/5): Cental Blackheath stay! - Great location in the centre of Blackheath, could walk to all of the town points of interest. Pleanty of parking in the hotel grounds, and friendly staff. Perfectly fine. Nothing we didn't like, met our expecations of a country town pub, basic, clean and acomfortable.
- Tania (10/5): Goog value for money and good food. -
- Julie (9/5): - Position, very quiet, plenty of parking, clean It was very warm in the room but you could not adjust the temp and it was raining so couldn't open the window

- John (9/5): I would stay there again. - Decent food, nice and warm, heated fireplaces are always very pleasant! Blackheath is a cute village and has a great atmosphere. The hotel exceeded our expectations.
The hotel was able to accommodate my request to ensure the room was not cleaned with chemicals or no disinfectants/sprays used. I have an aversion to chemical smells, so this was greatly appreciated.

- James (9/5): - Staff very helpful, and accommodating. Great location.
Rooms and bathrooms as you would expect at this price point - nothing spectacular but clean and did the job.
- Jane (7/5): Great old pub in a lovely part of the world. - Great old pub in a lovely part of the world.
- Barbara (10/5): - Prijetno, čisto in dovolj veliko za prenočit. Za daljše bivanje nima možnosti da se kaj poje v sobi.
Drugace pa vse ok.

- Buckley (7/5): For a quick stay it was lovely, we had a function to attend in The Megalong so it was a great spot. - The location of the room at the back was great as we couldn't hear any traffic. Fortunately didn't hear other guests either. The step up into the bathroom. The bathroom is huge. If you ever renovated, put in a regular bath with a separate shower. And a brighter globe in the bathroom, not really enough light to apply makeup with especially as there is no external window in the bathroom.

- Ishta (7/5): Just needed a place to sleep while attending folk festival. - Noise from downstairs band on friday and saturday evenings.
- Vanessa (6/5): Convenient, clean but uncomfortablely small. - Clean The trains blowing the whistle early in the morning. The very small room.
- Meabh (8/5): -
- Christiane (10/5): - Best location, best staff. Huge interesting place, very well maintained. If I`ll ever go back to the Blue Mountains, I`ll come back. Just across the station. Blue Mountain-Tracks really close, 1 km or so, and not crowded.

Staff were very accomodating I didnt dislike anything. I just think the rooms should have air conditioning and a bar fridge
- William (8/5): - Staff were extremely helpful and friendly The bed was only a double

- Alan (7/5): Overall, a nice place to stay. Was suitable for our requirements. - The appearance of the hotel in general was quite pleasant and the staff were polite and friendly when we arrived. We received our key and went to the room. Didn't have much interaction with the staff for the duration of the stay due to time commitments for events we were attending. The size of the room was quite spacious and the beds were quite comfy especially after a long day. Also the added bonus of having Netflix and other movie channels available free was quite handy. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the food, as we ate on the way to and from our event due to time restrictions. Unfortunately the negative things we discovered in the room and in the ground floor toilets, the shower head in the room and in the bathroom located upstairs in the hallway next to our room appeared old and antique looking and it took several attempts to get a suitable hot water flow and the pressure from them was poor especially the one in the bedroom to the extent my Daughter ended up having a cold shower. Also the lid of the toilet seat in the room was broken and the toilets downstairs although we didn't actually use them, appeared quite run down and in poor condition. The urinals were stained and appeared rusted and corrosion on the metal surfaces. Also we understood that there was a bar downstairs which was all good, however we weren't aware that there was going to be live bands playing on the Friday and Saturday nights and due to the event we were attending at Bathurst, we were having to leave early in the morning and were arriving back late in the evenings and were looking forward to a much needed sleep after a long drive. Due to the loud music, it was difficult to get to sleep as it travels upwards throughout the hotel. If it was possible to install some effective sound proofing to reduce the noise level upstairs in the rooms, then that would help.
- Thomas (3/5): Disapointing. - The location was handy, but all other aspects of the hotel were poor. The photos advertising the inn and the room we selected at time of booking was far nicer than the actual room we had. The shared shower faciltities were good enough. The food in the hotel (chicken parma) was awful, so dry and tasteless and an oddly bowl shaped piece of schnitzel. The room was woeful, with historic facilities and extremely thin windows considering the proximity to the highway. Room was not as described or pictured in the listing.
- Manish (7/5): - Good value for money. Staff is excellent

- Tracy (10/5): A friendly ,comfortable and affordable stay - Great location and facilities. Plenty of parking. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and well appointed for the price.
- Therese (10/5): - Room was clean and comfortable, dinner was very enjoyable N/A
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Amrita (6/5): The location is great and the staff friendly. Great budget option - The staff was very friendly, the food was great and the bar was very good. It was a particularly hot day when we stayed and the rooms do not have air conditioning. We really struggled to fall asleep and also found a couple of spiders and small bugs on our beds which scared the kids a bit. There was a patch near the toilet which was always wet and we realised there was some leakage.
- Lownds (8/5): Enjoyable - Great location No air con
- Suzie (3/5): Getting through the night was torture, it was awful!! - Bistro was great The air conditioning was either not working at all or very poor and we couldn’t open the window. There was no ventilation in the room at all, it was very stuffy and hard to breathe in there. We got hardly any sleep!
- SHEENA (10/5): -
- Adrienne (8/5): Pre new years trip - It was a great pub, close to shops and the station. The trains were noisy at times, but what can you do?

- Georgia (10/5): Great experience, would stay again - The comfy beds, friendly staff Nil complaints
- Sebastian Jason (6/5): Nice pub with good rooms but a lot of noise. - This is a pub with rooms on the second floor. The rooms and shared bathroom are clean with good beds. The location, it's next to a busy motorway and train tracks. The train comes through every few hours and will blow its horn which will not result in a good rest.
- Valentina (8/5): - Everything It doesn’t have aircon and the train can be too noisy if you open the window
- Sergio (10/5): - Unique piece of history. I didn't know Charles Darwin stayed there. What a random and awesome fact. Classic Australian place. I loved it. It has a nice pub. Beautiful meals, desserts and good vibes.
- Mikhail (7/5): -
- Cecelia (10/5): Great value lovely room, nice pub - Good price, nice room Shower was a bit poor to run and water sprayed out of pipe
- Sharini (7/5): -

- Joel (9/5): Very pleasantly suprised. - Great food, very clean and a unique historical significance. Close to amazing lookouts and blue mountains bushwalks.

- Louis (9/5): I was very impressed with The Gardners Inn Hotel — exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and in a great location. The ro - Very clean and tidy. Great location. Shower head couldn’t be set to normal shower spray, but only strong flow options.
Pillows too high, which was uncomfortable.
- Janine (9/5): - We booked last minute- pleasantly surprised with the great atmosphere and awesome service - room was small but clean, quiet with a private bathroom. Will definitely stay again The train at 5:30 going past 😋

- OneWorldImages (4/5): Nice food and lounge but room not well noise insulated - Restaurant and lounge spaces very nice Road and train noise from bedroom. Just incredibly noisy as the room fronted onto the busy road. Bring earplugs or helps if you're deaf. Got zero sleep and considered asking for another room. If staying here suggest you ask for a room not facing the highway.
- Alan (4/5): Good value . Bring your earplugs - Clean and tidy. Good value. Railway line with trains blowing their horns at night and trucks going past all night.
- Graeme (8/5): We enjoyed our stay. - Location was excellent. Bistro meals were great. Spacious family room. The room lacked air conditioning. There was some general heating that turned off at 9pm and the room was very cold after that.
- Mann (7/5): Overall good - Outdoor areas
Good games rooms
Good food Could not plug kettle in lead to short
The noise from the intertainment bit loud
- Ming (9/5): -
- Tim (9/5): Will stay again - Good food, great pub atmosphere in the evening, and very friendly staff.
- John (9/5): Jake and his staff were very friendly, accommodating and the service was great. I will come again all the best John. -
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect Faultless
- Marjorie (8/5): - Very noisy as my room faced the highway.
Toilet started leaking onto the floor in shared bathroom.
Good location close to train station.
- Anoma (6/5): Hotel overall was nice and clean. Good for the price. - Room wasn't soundproof well. Could here the noise from the bar downstairs. People were over there having so much fun with live music and all. If I wasn't with young children , it wouldn't have been an issue. But it kept kids awake for a while. Room window also were rattling for the wind which made some noise disturbing kids sleep. Well , it wasn't unpleasant. Just thought something that could be fixed easily. Disposable paper cups for tea/coffee service. When its a time where sustainability and low waste in demand, hotel has no issue to use disposable cups for offering tea service in the rooms. If the room service can clean up the bedding , is it too much to take the used cups out for washing in the kitchen ?
Bathroom would have been a bit wider. When you stand between the vanity and wall, not much space to move. Very narrow :).
- Marc (8/5): - Clean, convenient but a little noisy
- Mirco (10/5): -
- LongWindingRoad (8/5): A good value stay in Blackheath. No driving after drinking - Pub was good with music and enough TV's to show three different football codes and keep everyone happy.
Our room was away from the main road and railway line so was quiet and comfortable Shower water ran a bit hot and cold
- John Mannering (8/5): -
- Linda (10/5): - It is located right in the centre of Blackheath, where all the cafes, restaurants and specialty stores are located. It also has a very charming old world feel. We really enjoyed it.
- Jack (8/5): - room and toilets were clean and fresh, staff were friendly
