Henry (8/5): - A few minutes walk to shops, restaurants, ferry wharf to Russell and surrounds. Staff were great as same as ower, great little coffee van on site, for a coffe on the run, as you walk to the ferry ⛴️.
Jayaraj (10/5): - This property was walking distance (10-15min) to the main town centre and eateries while being away from the hustle and bustle that comes with most town centres. The staff of the property, Angela, Stacey and Keri, were extremely friendly and welcoming, without being too forward. They were happy to guide us with good recommendations, and assisted us with booking some of the tours we were looking to do. In short, this was a great find and we'll return to Admiral's View Lodge with friends and family soon.

Kevin (10/5): - This was a great hotel. The room was large, it was well equipped with everything from pots and pans to a small stove and microwave and fridge. The room was clean and the staff was very helpful. There is also an easy to use laundry area. My only complaint was the internet. It was really SLOOOOOW. I'm a digital nomad, so this is important to me and I measure things like speed. When I arrived, it was running about 4-5 Mbps,acceptable, probably not fast enough for streaming but good enough for email By evening, it has degraded to .1 Mbps, making web use next to impossible and even email or using spotify painfully slow. Time to upgrade to more bandwidth. I'm in a motel in the northland in the middle of nowhere with speeds of 30-40 Mbps, so I know it is possible. Other than that quibble, important to me but perhaps not to most people, it was a great stay. I would recommend it as long as you don't have a Zoom meeting or need to send multimedia files.

She obligingly moved us upstairs for two nights and the room was so much better and she did not charge me anything. Very friendly staff and owner. Easy access to the beach and pier.

Lori (8/5): Convenient and nice place to stay - We were greeted warmly, Penny the owner drove us to pick up some groceries which we really appreciated. We like to sleep in and if we did not leave the room by 10, no one came to make it up later. The room was spacious and comfortable. Location was an easy walk to town. We found the pool not ideal. There was no railing to hold for stairs and steps were deep so challenging to get in and out. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend this accommodation.

Jordan (10/5): - My stars! Our experience exceeded our highest expectations. We anticipated a late check in and Admiral's View Lodge emailed very clear instructions. The well-appointed room was a welcome relief after a long drive from Auckland: very comfortable bed, clean bathroom and well-stocked mini-kitchen. We had a full day planned and woke up well rested. The beach and restaurants are all within a short walk. We highly recommend the Admiral's View Lodge for anyone. The icing on the cake came when I inadvertently left a package in the closet - within hours I received notice from the staff and they facilitated shipping back to me. What a relief!
