We stayed in the studio with a fully fenced yard which was perfect for taking our dog away with us. The studio was very well equipped with everything that we could need and the access to the gardens was amazing. Thank you for such a lovely week away!

We stayed for 2 nights & could have stayed longer. - Although the location was out of town (approximately 10 minutes), for us this was not a problem as we had a vehicle & it was in a very peaceful setting. • Matthew (10/5): Fantastic Fantail River Lodge - Chris and Val are fantastic, friendly folk and fabulous hosts. Chris is the hostess with the mostess. The rooms, property, and setting are amazing. I admit to letting out a gasp as we arrived and drove down the driveway. The carpet in our room was lush, the bed was super comfy (loved the daisy cushions), everything was clean and spotless, and the shower was probably the best I've ever used in all of my travels. We had a private deck area with comfortable outdoor chairs, a decent sized wooden table, and a large sun umbrella - that was actually easy to simply wind up and down! We looked out onto the manicured lawn, rich foliage, and native trees. It was so lovely to see fantails and hear the chorus of cicadas. The extra touches of biscuits, chocolates - fresh milk in glass bottles in the fridge (to go along with tea, coffee etc) - beach/swimming towels (there's a local swimming hole with a small waterfall nearby), and range of toiletries, added that extra touch of class. The air con, wifi, and TV worked. The changing/wardrobe area was handy, private, and useful - even if we didn't use the lovely robes provided. There's plenty of room to hang and store clothing, and your own safe for valuables (I don't have any!). Parking and getting in and out of the property were a breeze. Chris was happy to help with anything but was never intrusive. She recommended a local place or two for dining, and they were fantastic. We were happy to simply get some fresh towels and milk halfway through our stay, with no pressure or rush to work around inconvenient, compulsory daily service of our room (nor departure as early as possible before 10 am). Everything was classy enough to feel great and make you feel special and comfy enough to be peaceful and relaxing. We loved it so much that we extended our stay. If you stay anywhere else up that way, you're mad. I'm going back ASAP, and I didn't want to leave in the first place. N/A

It’s far enough outside Pahia to be quiet yet close enough to be easily accessible. We had a relaxing week with great weather. The Phat House brewery tap was about 3km away in Haruru and well worth a visit or three. Nope, I can't think of anything...
• Victoria (10/5): We loved this accomodation - classy and beautiful. - The breakfast supplies were varied and ample. The surrounds of the gardens were beautiful and we enjoyed strolling around them. The host was very friendly and helpful, providing information about good restaurants and things to do in the area. The accomodation was only a 5 minute drive to Paihia. Nothing - it was great.

• Andrea (10/5): Luxurious, tranquil and ambient. The best place to stay near Paihia if you are travelling with your dog. - Great location, beautiful setting and very peaceful. Dog friendly was an understatement. Chris and Val adored our dog and treated her like she was their own. There was a minor issue with the wifi but they had an electrician come out and fix it immediately.
