mvsr (10/5): Great Value and Quiet in the heart of town - Checkin was easy. We got a room upgrade and were very impressed with the size, comfort, cleanliness and facilities. Suprisingly quiet for being on Bealey Ave. It was an easy well lit walk back from the Town Hall. Will stay here again.

Whilst everything was awesomely clean and tidy, the units are showing signs of age and could do with a bit of a spruce up. Toilet and vanity need replaced as does the dining chairs. The bathroom needs painted and a heater installed. Double glazing of the windows would help keep the road noise out.

Raelene (7/5): A great place well priced and close enough to the city without being right in it. - I picked it because it was walkable to city… but we were confused as it felt further away than it was but it was actually super easy and about 20 minutes to get to the centre which was great! It was super clean and the staff were lovely. There is also a great pup a little walk down the road. The bed was good but hard which we are not used to which is not a bad thing on them… just our old bodies!

Rose (8/5): We had a great visit to Chch and would at Country Glen Lodge again. - Easy to get to and close to everything We were backed onto Bealey Avenue… the road nose was intrusive. At our last visit we were in the units that back onto the side street… not nearly so noisey. The firealarm went off at 3am on Sunday morning… it was a long time before any one official appeared and dealt with it. One would hope in a real fire situation things would be handled a little better.

There were only 2 arm chairs which weren’t very comfortable and it didn’t feel very safe. Staff were so helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend this motel. There were some pretty strong cooking smells in the apartment and the bathroom could use an update, BUT you can't beat the value for money and these were only very minor issues compared to the positives.

The only thing I am not satisfied with is our 3 people room will be pretty close to the street, and during the night it is relatively nosier than other rooms. Some windows can leak some noise because they are not well sealed
