- Don (8/5): - It is genuine old world charm - it was a pub then a convalescent home and it hasn't been undone - it has used these features. Graeme was helpful. Plenty of parking on site and very comfortable bed. Good hot water and shower. The wifi didn't work upstairs was the only thing.

- Jennifer (8/5): - The room was clean but a little small for 3 people. The bathroom was adequate. The location was good as it was in the middle of town on the main road. Unfortunately the building needs some attention, the parking in the backyard needs attention and the managers need some lessons in respect and time management. Returning the key to a responsible person or secure place was a nightmare.

I am not a usual user of B&Bs but I had no TV or even access to one in a common area. I could not access Wi-Fi but thankfully able to set up hotspot with phone. The facilities are VERY dated. Didn’t even have body soap in shower - had to use shampoo. I note it’s for sale so maybe better days ahead but I was very disappointed & at $145/night I found it very expensive. I was on ground floor - maybe upstairs was better. So much potential. I was warm as it was super chilly. Electric blanket very welcome!!!
- Lynette (4/5): - A very disappointing stay. The hotel was in disrepair and closed and we were accommodated in an outhouse at the back. Despite air conditioning it was very cold and draughty and the promised inclusions such as a continental breakfast would not pass food hygiene standards eg half used milk, juice and opened cereal box, and a few slices of bread wrapped in cling wrap!! Needless to say, we did not eat these unsatisfactory offerings. I could not recommend this accommodation.

Clean, but old hard bed, dusty drapes, the verandah had "hazard tape" on railings and not really sure we should have even been allowed to go out there!! Falling apart. The "breakfast room" was like an old person's home. I wouldn't 'not' stay here but I'd rather stay somewhere else.

- Colin (8/5): - The Old Vic is a quaint place to stay. Very quiet. Very clean. Facilities were appropriate for the type of establishment. Old style pub stay. Not far from restaurant, when open. This area of Canowindra is almost a step back in time and that has to be taken into consideration. Staff very friendly and hospitable.

- Jonathan (10/5): - The Old Vic Inn is an awesome piece of local history in the Canowindra area. The building is done up in period style adding to the magic of our stay. The en-suite bathroom was clean and well appointed and the King size bed was super comfortable and gave us a great nights sleep. The staff were helpful, friendly and easy to chat with. We had such a great stay here, we will be going back so we can check out their restaurant which came highly recommended to us.
- Verified traveler (2/5): NEVER AGAIN - I definitely don’t recommend this place for future stays. Apart from the issue of the owners/managers calling in a complaint to the police about our presence in the town as we are all from ‘Greater Sydney’, one of the managers wasn’t wearing a mask when we checked in. This place is also very old and one of the other girls saw a rat running around in the bathroom.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - Very run down, the bed was lumpy and unusable for us, however we were offered an other room, the top verandah was unsafe as it had boundry tape near the balustrade, full ashtrays were littered around the verandah, outdoor seating we would not sit on, some old seats were veritable rats nests. The photos on the website are obviously from a very early time. Claiming to be the best bed and breakfast in the west is an overstatement. Very disappointed. Would not recommend the Old Vic Inn.

- DEREK (8/5): Comfortable old country pub - Yes the Old Vic is a little 'tired' but it has all the character expected in an older country pub, but with the right amount of comfort. Our room was large, very comfortable and surprisingly well appointed. The staff could not have been more friendly and went out of their way to assist with a flat tyre on the car.

Like most of the Canowindra main street, it is very tired, compared to other small towns we have been through. The town is very gloomy with no new paint and a limited number of shops open,very few cars were noticed. We were told the town does get busy on other days, so we wish them the best. Other towns have a much more vibrant atmosphere, and most business frontages are painted and in good repair. It seems lots of cash and youthful enthusiasm is needed to progress the town.

- Jacqueline (8/5): Pleasant stay - My husband and I stayed for 2 nights during October long weekend, it’s an old hotel and we are ok with things that not working probably, ie couldn’t log in hotel wifi and one of the bedside lampS not working, staffs are friendly. We had one of our dinners in hotel restaurant and It’s nice . My husband reckons it’s better than The Quarry Restaurant in Cowra.

- Julie (8/5): - We were disappointed in our room at first. We were expecting a ground floor garden room with a king size bed motel style accommodation. The bed definitely was not king size and the room small. However in saying that the inn has some lovely features. Number one super friendly staff, cozy bar area and food in the restaurant to die for! There is tea and coffee available and breakfast included in the tariff in an old-style common/tea room. A TV is in this room. A lovely old lacework veranda with views of the street where you can sit and relax. Overall we enjoyed our stay in this lovely old building after our initial disappointment.

The shower in the ensure didn't have the right sized opening, so the whole floor got wet when you took a shower, and the water took about a minute to heat up.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Tired old girl in need of a makeover. Placed in the musty, damp back room with peeling plaster, no bathroom heater, room heater insufficient for heating the room. Upstairs rooms of the same layout for 4 vacant - and we paid the same rate through and were placed in the last room at the Inn if it was full. Clearly wasn't full as there were in total 10 or so other guests for different days for the duration of our stay. Every time we went to or exited our room had to pass through bar area and had to face scrutiny.
