• Ramona (7/5): perfekte Lage aber nicht unbedingt altersgerecht - perfekte Lage mitten im Zentrum. Die Kaffeemaschine im Aufenthaltsraum steht rund um die Uhr zur Verfügung. Super Blick auf die Gracht. Urig eingerichtet. Betten im Zimmer sehr bequem, wenn man auf weiche Matratzen steht. Genug Kissen verfügbar. Das Zimmer fanden wir sehr leise. Man hört fast nichts von der Strasse oder draußen. Die Vorhänge verdunkeln sehr gut. Extrem steile und enge Treppen zu den Zimmern, Koffer muss selbst rauf geschleppt werden. Im Zimmer nur ein blinder Spiegel am antiken Schrank. Untere Fächer alle sehr staubig. Frühstück war sehr einfach. Nur gekochtes Ei, ein wenig Wurst und Käse. Marmeladen in Mini-Tütchen. Die ältere Dame an der Rezeption war extrem unfreundlich. Hat uns sogar Snacks im Aufenthaltsraum zum Kaffee verboten. Kindisch.

Pero te lo aclaran mil veces y es normal en los hoteles del centro de Ámsterdam . Estaría bueno que tuviera una pava eléctrica en la habitación

Location was excellent for the sites we wanted to visit. Lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. Of course the stairs! But we knew beforehand and managed!

It was brutal getting our suitcases up to our room. The stairs are winding, steep and narrow and the staff did not offer any assistance even though there was a very strong young man working when we checked in. I would not stay there again due to the stairway. I know that the description clearly stated that there was no elevator but the stairs were way more difficult than typical and there were 2 or 3 flights of winding, narrow, steep stairs.

Το είχαμε δει απο πριν σχετικα με την μη υπαρξη ανελκιστήρα οπότε ήμασταν προετοιμασμένοι. Λίγο μικρά τα σκαλάκια αλλά μικρό το κακό. Ένα παραδοσιακό ξενοδοχείο, μεγάλο δωμάτιο και μπάνιο με όλες τις παροχές που θα ήθελε κάποιος. Υπήρχε σε κοινόχρηστο χώρο και καφετιέρα/και για τσαι 24/7, οπότε όποιος ήθελε μπορούσε να προμηθευτεί! Ίσως το πρωινό θα μπορούσε να είναι λίγο πιο πλούσιο.

My room was small but comforable and the temperature was just right. Upon check-out, I asked the receptionist to tell me how to get to the Metro. She wasn't very attentive or helpful.

• Wendy (8/5): A charming hotel - The staff, the location, the charm of the whole hotel. The breakfast room watching passersby is just simply entertaining. Sleeping with the doors open can be a little noisy. Street noises! But that's to be expected in a city.

• Andrea (8/5): Great base to explore the city! - A well placed hotel walkable to most city sights or within a reasonable walking distance to the trams and metro. Clean and comfortable twin room with a generous continental breakfast to set one up for the day. A cup of tea or coffee was available in the lounge and was very welcome at the end of a day sightseeing. I would recommend. Steep stairs to the twin room are not for the fainthearted or for those with restricted mobility. Not unexpected given the style of building so just be prepared.

• Heather (9/5): Great location, exceptional staff, plus good breakfast, coffee, and easy bag storage. - We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Amsterdam and would absolutely stay here again. The location truly could not have been better. It felt safe, incredibly convenient, and within easy walking distance to everything we wanted to experience, including the metro, museums, Noordermarkt, the Jordaan, shopping, and more. We were there during King’s Day, and despite the lively celebrations and late-night noise outside, our room was surprisingly quiet, which made a big difference. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were exceptional. On the day we were leaving, a driver we had booked through another company didn’t show up. The hotel team immediately stepped in, helped us secure transportation, and went above and beyond to make sure we got to the airport on time. That level of care and responsiveness made a stressful situation feel completely manageable. The breakfast was good, though the dining room could feel a bit congested at times. The seating was tight, and chairs were quite close to neighboring tables. That said, the common area in the evening was lovely, and the complimentary coffee was very much appreciated. We also arrived early in the morning, and the bag storage was seamless and convenient, which made our first day much easier. The only downside, which the hotel is very transparent about, is the traditional Dutch stairs. They are steep and narrow. If possible, I would strongly recommend traveling with just a carry-on, as maneuvering a large suitcase up and down can be quite difficult. I did have a bit of a misstep, so just something to be mindful of. Overall, a fantastic stay with a great location and truly outstanding service. Highly recommend.

Pela hora do voo, não consegui tomar o café da manhã que era tarde (senao me engano a partir das 8h) De fato a escada é apertada e não há elevador, mas já sabia disso ao fechar, então tudo bem. É um hotel simples com preço de 5 estrelas, quarto confortável, porém extremamente caro. Só depois soube que era véspera do feriado do dia do rei, não sei se o preço era assim por causa disso ou se é sempre. Muito caro.

Niet alleen een verfje maar je hangt aan de leidingen. De trapleuningen zijn er niet of gevaarlijk. Het piept en het kraakt. Ik vind het zorgwekkend dat niet aan beide kanten echte trapleuningen zijn. Achteruit trap afgaan is niet normaal. ik zou er een controleur naar toe sturen. Ondanks dat er gewaarschuwd wordt voor trappen vind ik dit te gek!
