Guest Reviews
- PetraTravel (9/5): - De ligging was prima. Sleutelkluis werkte perfect als ook de communicatie met de verhuurder. Behang beetje kapot en gedateerd.
- Mark (8/5): - Friendly helpful host. Comfortable and quiet room. Dog friendly. A little dusty here and there but not major. Light bulbs too dim.
- Lorraine (10/5): - Everything Mothing
- Stuart (9/5): Nice but probably wouldn’t stay again. - Had a lovely large bed and dog friendly. The smell when we entered the room wasn’t great, I don’t know if it was damp but it was a very musty smell. We only saw one member of staff but she seemed put out that we had rung the doorbell instead of using the door code. Our mistake but not the end of the world. After that we didn’t want to trouble her anymore so despite wanting to ask for air freshener and extra pillows we didn’t feel able to.
- Michelle (8/5): Good location, easy access, would request a room away from road next time - Easy to find and good location . The milk and tea in room was nice after a long trip and entry to the room was really clear.
The welcome information was appreciated ! The shower kept going from cold to scolding hot and road noise was a bit loud as I’m a light sleeper
- Martyn (8/5): A pleasant experience - Location was near the beach
Parking was good
- Joseph (10/5): - It was a very pleasant stay, excellent views and clean and tidy room. Nothing it was all good.
- Anthony (10/5): Very pleasant stay, lots of little touches in bathroom. - No breakfast, location within easy reach of town and beach. NA
- Catherine (7/5): - Our room was on the top floor attic. It was light and airy and we had a lovely view. The room was very small so we had to keep moving the 2 dining chairs provided in order to get to the kitchen sink or to open the door. Photos of the hotel included a shared lounge area but this was never offered to us and the door was even closed! We only saw it the following day as we were leaving.
- Kirsty (10/5): Home away from home! - The little kitchenette in the room was a real bonus; there was a sink with washing up facilities, small fridge/freezer (with a pint of milk), an airfryer, microwave, toaster and kettle along with tea and biscuits on arrival. There was a cupboard underneath the sink housing everything you could possibly need for (2 people) to make yourself breakfast or a simple meal. Everything was very clean.
Lovely big bed with power point and small unit beside it. My husband has sleep apnea so has a CPAP machine and mask. The unit easily accommodated his machine beside the bed, with plenty of room for him to get comfortable with his mask and hose with me beside him.
The en-suite bathroom was exceptionally clean. The only thing that we did find was the pillows weren’t very comfy. Overall tho, the property and room was excellent.
- Hannah (10/5): -
- Howard (9/5): - Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits all ready on arrival. Midweek refresh was good. Plenty of books and games in the communal sitting room.
Nice easy walk to the shops and beach area with busses to local areas just outside the front door.
- Lawlor (8/5): - Great room. Little cooker and microwave with sink was really handy for me. Little bit expensive, and it's a little out of the way.
- Terence (10/5): -
- terry (10/5): tops - location good nothing
- Catherine (10/5): Perfect base for a short stay in Weymouth and exceeded my expectations - Walking distance to the harbour, parking available, very clean and well equipped. Good facilities in the room. Can be tricky if you’re in the parking space that is doubled up and you’re blocked in, but there’s the option to park on the road further down
- Luiza (8/5): Very relaxed easy place to stay. - It was very well equipped, easy to be in, straightforward arrangements and communication was good. If I have to think of something….. it was a little way to find somewhere to take our dog out first thing in the morning - but this really wasn’t much of a problem, once we knew where to go.
- Douglas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ks (10/5): Our second visit and great location - Fridge, microwave, air fryer grill, kettle and toaster provided plus crockery and utensils. Good hot shower. Comfortable beds. Plenty of storage space. Extra pillows and blanket option available. Good WiFi and Smart TV.
Bus stops outside the house. Buses along the coast to Bridport and West Bay or into town etc.
- Nigel (10/5): Great family room with all the facilities you need. - Fits a full family in. The kitchenette and dining table make it possible to eat at home and save money on eating out. High up, so it is quiet and has a pleasant view across the rooftops. Laundry room is useful.
- Helen (10/5): Lovely comfy base for exploring Weymouth and farther afield. - Really comfy bed and excellent self-catering facilities. Bright, spacious en -suite with lovely toiletries and even a flannel (handy, as I forgot mine). A bright and homely feeling room. You can see the sea if you stick your head out of the window and I enjoyed watching the house martins flying past. Really handy for local shops and only 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Can't fault it.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (8/5): Not too far to walk to town. - Breakfast wasn't an option. The bed was so big and comfortable. The shower kept going hot and cold. The air fryer was filthy.Maybe leave throw away liners if guests aren't going to clean it after use.
- Sarah (9/5): Very comfortable stay - Very clean and comfortable. Great communication from the host.
- Nkuna (9/5): Superb - A walking distance to city centre (15-20 minutes).
- T (8/5): Very good - On site parking Nil
- Tracy (9/5): Excellent place to stay - More like a mini apartment if you want to be left to do your own thing - small kitchenette for food - be prepared for at least a 10 minute walk to any attractions unless you want to drive, but parking is an inconvenience. Property lovely and undisturbed - sleep comfortable and although road is a bit noisy - it's quiet enough at night to sleep - a good place to stay. nothing - was a great stay
- Anne (9/5): Superb - Had everything you needed. Unfortunately my partner was ill so we had to leave afterc1 night.
Sue was so good in that she refunded us a part payment as a show of good will which was very much appreciated The double bed was small
- Jayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): easy oomphy weekend break. - Friendly owner, nice, well-equipped room. Close to the town centre.
- Christopher (10/5): Everything I needed was provided - The owner has evidently thought of everything a traveler may need for a home away from home like a kettle , microwave c,air fryer, fridge, washing machine and dryer and has provided it. Noise from the road
- Natalie (9/5): Superb - Well maintained and very clean. Little kitchenette had enough for you to make your own meal if you didn't want to eat out or get a take away. Adequate parking on-site and short walk from the town centre and trail that takes you down to the beach/coastline.
- Lucian (8/5): Very good -
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tommy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marisa (9/5): Superb -
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Lesley (10/5): Exceptional - 10 min walk into town centre.
Parking on site.
Good amenities in room.
- Willis (8/5): Good value, Good location, very clean room - Good location, very clean room Traffic was very noisy early in the morning
- Terry (8/5): Very good -
- John (9/5): Superb - Excellent location a short walk away from centre of town.
Room was very comfortable and facilities in the room were good.
Liked that the room had a microwave and small kitchenette so that you could make your own breakfast and the welcome pack of breakfast items was good. The main light in the room was very dull and the shower did not have a lot of pressure.
- Dimogiannis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (6/5): Basic clean good location - Lovely location Lovely building but needs a refresh basic and small. Bathroom needs new fittings the metal shelves were rusty mould on the blinds. Very noisy as its on a main road.
- Bolwell (8/5): Very good - Parking was good, and the welcome pack was well received and the bed was super comfortable The room was at the top of the house and we struggled each time to get to it.
The shower controls were not very good, it was either hot or cold
- Elaine (10/5): We had a great stay and would definitely recommend 👍 - Great position, spotlessly clean. There was nothing not to like.
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hayley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dorothy (10/5): Exceptional - All of it.
- Tracy (8/5): Very good - The room was spacious and had everything you needed . The location was near to the harbour and other facilities. It was very clean and comfortable. I would definately stay there again. The road traffic took some getting used to on the first night , but it didn’t stop me sleeping well
- Joe (10/5): Perfect stay and perfect location - The Florian Guest House in Weymouth offers a welcoming and well-maintained stay, with spacious, spotless family rooms and convenient amenities like fast WiFi and a selection of breakfast items provided in-room. Located just a 15-minute walk from the seaside, it's ideally situated near shops and takeaways. The owner, Sue, provides excellent hospitality, making the check-in process easy and ensuring a comfortable stay. With its great location, attentive service, and homely touches, it's a highly recommended place for a short stay in Weymouth. Noting not to like was perfect
- Garry (9/5): Superb -
- Yolanda (10/5): We loves the accommodations, amenities are all walking distance plus the sea side are amazing, there’s many things you - The furniture is spotless - bed is comfy and all things there seem brand new . When we arrived , there was a bad smell near the fridge and even we used air freshener it didn’t go away.
- Howard (9/5): Superb -
- Lynsey (10/5): Super place to stay for my family, would love to stay again! - Clean and nice bathroom. Great welcome, lovely welcome pack, midweek clean was lovely, remade our books, even tucked my girls teddies in to bed. Super accessible to the laundry room. No outside area to enjoy a cuppa, but didn’t hinder our Holiday.
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Location relaxed vibe
- Rachael (9/5): Superb -
- Shelagh (10/5): Excellent stay - It was very comfy very clean and suited our needs perfectly
- Moyna (8/5): Will see you again, thanks - Good location and well priced, comfortable clean room
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sylvia (6/5): Quaint property on the Jurassic coast route in Weymouth - One of the Jurassic bus was right outside the property so it made hopping it on and off easy. There were some baked goods supplied in the room when we checked in, plus some tea/coffee makings. The bed was large. Laundry facility was a bonus. The room was quite cramped (we were on the top floor), the towels were thin and a bit scratchy. The hot water in the shower runs cold within 5 minutes but luckily it was a hot weekend.
- Ella (10/5): Exceptional - Had such a great stay in this lovely guest house! First solo trip away and I had everything I needed; comfy bed, fridge/microwave, en suite bath room - loved it all! A 10/15 minute walk from the beach and harbour, and sue was really friendly and a wonderful host.
- Ronald (9/5): Superb -
- Hibly (8/5): Good base for a short break - Although small the room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The hosts were friendly and welcoming.
- Olivette (9/5): Superb - You're not too far from the centre/beach. Transport to other Dorset towns were very good. Good selection of places to eat, especially Bennetts. There wasn't anything to dislike.
- Mr (7/5): Suitable for a few days. - It was walking distance into the town and beach, host was very pleasant. The room was rather small. The bed was uncomfortable as it was too low. It would have been good if there was more tea and coffee and milk for our 3 days to be in with the price.
- Gergely (10/5): Exceptional - The room was neat and tidy, and equipped with more than what we could have wished for. The location is also ideal, and Sue the host is lovely. All in all top notch, and probably a little more than what you would expect. Would definitely stay here again.
- French (10/5): Great host and enjoyable stay -
- Kirsty (10/5): Was lovely - Very clean and had everything we needed Nothing
- Tanya (8/5): Clean and Comfortable - For a budget room I enjoyed my stay at The Florian very much.
I was provided a twin room for my single stay, so pushed the beds together, and noted how it was clean underneath where I had moved them. The whole room (including bathroom) was faultlessly clean.
Bed was perfectly comfy, no lumps/bumps or sagging noted.
A small continental breakfast is provided (croissant and pack of breakfast cereal with milk, butter and jam in the fridge) with a surprisingly well stocked mini kitchenette. No crockery was chipped or broken.
Shower pressure decent, and temperature control of the water reliable. A small bar of soap, and shower gel plus mixed shampoo/conditioner included.
The owner texted me the door code for my late arrival in advance, and I was able to come and go quietly as I pleased.
There is a small amount of parking out the front, and more street parking nearby. Sign in the window for biker friendly.
The accommodation is just a short walk (about 10+ minutes) from the harbour, and about another 5 minutes to the beach. There is a large Asda just a small stroll down the road if you want to sort your own food.
Overall I would 100% stay again when looking for somewhere clean, comfortable and simple to stay on a budget. The pint of milk provided was unfortunately very much on the turn. I did use a splash as I can't go without coffee, but wouldn't have stretched to using it for the bowl of cereal. It was sealed and in-date (on it's last day), so the owner would not have any way of knowing. Unusual for milk to turn so soon though.
A couple of the butter packets in the fridge were out of date. I'm sure they'd be fine but I didn't use any butter.
I did not raise these at the time, I'm sure they would have been rectified had I have needed to do so.
- Georgiana (10/5): Exceptional - We liked everything.
- Wendy (9/5): Superb - Had everything you needed for self catering
- Scott (10/5): Was clean and relaxing. - The room had everything needed for my stay in Weymouth. No major dislikes didn’t know house keeping schedule if they would be in room when I was away but I could have asked if I needed too.
- Simon (10/5): Very nice comfortable place, convenient location and friendly owner. - The property was is a convenient location, close to the seafront attractions. The owner was very friendly, and due to my disability she immediately offered to swap the room that I had booked, which was on the second floor (which I didn't realise until after I had booked it - and it was non-refundable, so I couldn't change it). She gave me a ground floor room instead, very close to the front door of the building which was fantastic. It was even a family sized room, with a double bed and two single beds which gave me so much space. My room had a fridge, microwave, kettle, dining table and chairs, and a tv, and I was even able to control the heating, which was very useful. A cleaning service was also provided for the room, but I was able to request that it be cancelled so that I didn't need to leave the room, or be disturbed. There was also a place within a mile or so where I was able to recharge my electric car, which was a nice bonus. The property also has a tv lounge where you can watch or you can borrow books/board games and such. The tv didn't have many channels on it. My own tv at home includes Freeview and it has significantly more channels that this. The car park was quite small and I had to park quite close to a wall to avoid the space next to the one I had chosen but these tiny issues wouldn't put me off of staying there again.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, only 15 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes to nearest supermarket.Comfortable and clean room. Very friendly and helpful owner.
- Ashley (10/5): A beautiful guest house that was accommodating, comfortable, and practical. We will be back! - The attention to detail, cleanliness, layout of the room, kitchenette with all necessities, and very friendly and helpful owner.
- Lynda (8/5): Lovely weekend break within walking distance of central weymouth - We came for the folk festival in the Harbour side, so the Florian was well placed for a 15 min walk to the Harbour. Having our own kitchenette was ideal for us as we could have a lie in and the cereal and pastries were lovely. We also were able to bring micro meals in the room which saved eating out on the first night. Parking on site is always a bonus. Host very friendly and helpful. All good, the toilet seat clunked but not a problem
- Anna (8/5): Very good - Comfortable and good location
- Amelius (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, little breakfast basket on arrival.
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katharine (10/5): Good location, cosy room and a very comfortable bed - The Florian is 10-15 minutes walk to Weymouth beach, the centre of town and a large supermarket. Bus stop at the front of the building. Loved being on the top floor, very peaceful, loved the seaside blind! A very comfortable large double bed. Great to have fridge, toaster, kettle and mini kitchen in the room with everything we needed for snack suppers and breakfasts. Very nice owners. Good Wi-Fi. A list of what can be recycled would be useful.
- Juju (10/5): Amazing - Amazing place really enjoyed everything from staff to room The stairs but we have booked again for the ground floor husband found it hard with his back going up and down
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (8/5): Nice little B&B - Perfect location for me as I was walking the coast path in and around Weymouth. And only a 10 minute walk into town as well.
The room was a decent size and comfortable.
The little kitchenette was a great idea, I used the microwave to heat ready meals on a couple of nights, to save going to the pub. There were also a few items for breakfast included. The decoration in the room I was in, could have done with a bit on an update but overall, it wasn't bad.
- Nigel (9/5): Great location 10 minutes walk from Weymouth harbour. The room had evetying I needed especially the self contained kitch - The best thing was the self contained kit he so I saved a lot of money eating out. Nothing
- Alan (9/5): Weekend in Weymouth - We liked the fully equipped kitchenette, nicely laid out en-suite and the toiletries provided (including a shower cap)
- Melvyn (9/5): Excellent all round, good value and access to town. - Firstly, Sue was so friendly and helpful - great. Breakfast pack, tea / coffee very good. Location and proximity to buses perfect. Bed was comfy and the complete apartment ( & lounge) was spotlessly clean. Excellent all round. nothing really
- Helen (7/5): Cheap and cheerful and friendly place to stay in Weymouth - Friendly host, cheap and cheerful rooms - one of the most affordable places to stay in Weymouth. Nice that there was a guest lounge so we could socialise with our friends over dinner and breakfast. Good shower. The bed was fine but a bit squeaky
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Our second visit to the Florian, we like the kitchen facilities to make our own breakfasts at our leisure and other meals, comfortable room, great shower, good location Nothing
- Tsungai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- John (9/5): Clean , friendly, reasonable and kitchen facilities in your room - You could do your own breakfast The bed was too soft , but it would suit most people
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eric (8/5): Very happy to recommend and stay again. - Excellent, warm, bright and clean room. En-suite very clean and well thought out. Liked the heated towel rail and clothes hanger. Milk on the fridge to go with breakfast pack was a nice touch.
- Nick (10/5): Best place in Weymouth I have ever stayed in - The room was lovely the wecome pack was delicious and the staff were wecoing and friendly
The location was excellent for exploring Weymouth and beyond Nothing
