• Magnus1968 (10/5): Fantastic boutique accommodation in Lecce - Stayed two wonderful nights here with another couple and we all agreed it was a 5+ star experience. Mantatelure only has a small number of beautifully appointed rooms but the shared facilities are substantial - a beautiful lounge where you can get free liquors and sweet treats, a spacious outdoor area and terrace, and a lovely breakfast room downstairs with a further lounge area off it. The location is ideal in a very quiet street located right on the edge of the old town with all the main sites very easily walkable along picturesque streets. Breakfast was magnificent - both the quality and quantity of fresh food was amazing including the option for cooked eggs and bacon any style, all served in a delightfully friendly manner. The yogurt was sensational with a lovely selection of cakes/pastries in addition to lots of meat/cheese/cerial options. The rooms were beautiful - spacious, large comfortable beds, great air conditioning, lots of nice touches. Friends stayed in an apartment which was huge and lovely, but was up a steepish set of stairs so not ideal if you have mobility issues. Finally the welcome from Martina and the advice/recommendations from her throughout our visit was brilliant - so friendly and personable, a credit to Lecce!

• 418deborahz (4/5): The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly - The Good: This property is like an oasis in Lecce. There is a beautiful, shaded, garden area where one can read, relax, or enjoy a sumptuous breakfast. Our travel agent booked the apartment for my husband and me since we were staying for one week. It was spacious and the decor was quirky with colorful tile. The Bad: After carting our luggage up a long, steep staircase, we discovered the air conditioning was not working. Anna, from the front desk, came up and noted that the thermostat had a red, flashing light and read "error". We ended up spending 5 nights of our 7-night stay in an apartment that was 27-28 degrees C (80.6-82.4 degrees F). The Ugly: At no time were we informed when the air conditioning would be fixed, offered any alternative to the accommodation, or offered aid for the hot apartment. To add insult to injury, we were charged an additional 30 euros upon check-out for bottled water. We were hot, uncomfortable, and trying to remain hydrated. No one informed us that there was a charge for the same water that was provided free at breakfast. Had we known that, we could have easily purchased water at a local market for much less. When we asked the young girl at check out to be reasonable, she replied "I just work here." Our travel agent followed up and was so dissatisfied with the hotel's response that she is taking them off her list of recommended properties.

• Fly-Wills (10/5): The most beautiful and welcoming place in Lecce - One of the most beautiful properties we have ever stayed at. Located in the center of Lecce, it is one of the best locations possible to explore the city. The communication from start to finish is fantastic, with the staff constantly communicating via WhatsApp prior to our arrival and during our stay which was such a massive help. They even recommended restaurants for us to visit and helped advise us where to park out car, including registering the car for the temporary access to the property. We stayed in one of the suites, which comes with a large double bed and sofa bed on an upper level. The room is spacious with beautiful high ceilings and modern facilities, including a stunning double shower. You may find your room is located on one of the entrance areas, but don’t be put off, we had one of these and (as long the other residents are mindful) you can’t hear any noise. The property boats a stunning outside are as well as a lower level, large breakfast area. Both days we sat outside, and the staff kindly took our choices upstairs for us, also making fresh coffee as soon as we arrived. The breakfast has so many choices and tastes delicious. Highly recommend the chocolate cake and Vegan croissants! Check out was very quick and easy and again the staff were very accommodating, arranging the car to be registered for loading our luggage. Overall an amazing stay, and we highly recommend for anyone visiting Lecce.

Both Anna’s were very engaging and the other lady at the desk had great dinner recommendations and set up transportation. The place is exceptional appointed and very very clean. The location is in old town and yet far enough off the main busy sections. Highly highly recommended and would be shocked for anyone not have a similar experience.

• DaekiS2 (10/5): Heaven on Earth - What a classy and beautiful hotel it was! At first, you’d be captivated by the amazing smell in the lobby. Although this is a small boutique hotel in a very quiet and good location of Lecce, the level of their service surpasses that of Four Seasons. Our room was so charming and clean, and their breakfast was very good as well. We wanted to stay there for a month and be submerged in their peaceful garden. We definitely will go back to Lecce and stay at this hotel longer next time. Thank you everyone for the best experience.

• Europe2010_10 (10/5): Excellent stay - Three of our four nights were spent in an apartment (7) we loved the space and decor. We felt like it was the best mix of old and new. High ceilings, beautiful tiled floors. Excellent amenities and access to a small balcony. Loved the breakfast at Mantatelurè! The scrambled eggs and bacon the best I’ve had anywhere! The biscuits and cakes made fresh by the lovely lady who makes the eggs. She has an enviable talent. Location a short walk to the main attractions. Parking nearby at minimal charge (paid street parking from 9 am to 2 pm only). I would pay a little extra for the apartment. We stayed one night in a Junior suite and the toilet was accessed through the shower recess. I felt the space upstairs was not very useable. Aside from this the property was lovely. I would stay again.

A lovely, peaceful, beautifully restored complex of buildings; comfortable and calm bedrooms; and a superb breakfast, with fresh local produce and pastries made in-house. The staff were friendly and helpful to a fault. Our only regret is that we stayed for just one night.
• shawnb468 (8/5): Excellent hotel in old city center but parking and luggage drop off not easy - Lovely hotel, very quiet in room 4, excellent breakfast, nice places to sit outside in courtyard, main negative is parking and luggage drop off. Hotel is located on a one-way street in old city center with no room to pull over and drop off luggage. There is a school nearby with parents dropping off kids so traffic is heavy in front of the hotel. Parking is half mile away on the street so nothing can be left in the car and you have to go out to the street one or two times a day, pay for parking tickets. Leaving at the end of the trip is also challenging getting Luggage back in the car and departing on this busy street with cars honking at you. I’d you can handles these challenges then hotel is wonderful and nice location to visit old Lecce.

The hotel was wonderful and I cannot fault it in any way. Breakfasts were delicious and particularly the homemade cakes. The staff (two ladies - sorry I cannot remember your names) were so professional, friendly and accommodating. I recommend sitting in the beautiful garden with an Aperol Spritz at the end of a full day sightseeing - peaceful and relaxing and no other guests about! We 100% want to return here if we ever travel to beautiful Lecce again. Thank you Mantatelure for getting things so right!

We had a completely quiet apartment sized unit with a full kitchen and living room. The staff was exceptionally helpful and professional. Breakfasts included homemade pastries that were a delight. I would gladly return for a multi-night stay to visit the wonderful town of Lecce, a highlight of our visit.

• Passport25820290305 (10/5): The perfect oasis - Superb boutique accommodation. Amazing garden, fabulous room, luxurious bathrooms and breakfasts that hit the spot. Plus complementary home made biscuits and amaro/lemoncello. We were upgraded upon arrival to a suite and felt like the only guests there for our one night. Actually we may have been but that didn’t matter. The hosts make you feel incredible welcome. The garden is a haven of tranquility and the only thing missing (just a little in this weather) was a pool. But otherwise it’s a gorgeous oasis away from the intensity of the Lecce crowds. Would happily return for the breakfast alone.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und bekamen gute Tipps und Ideen für die Besichtigung von Lecce. Unser Zimmer war sehr ansprechend gestaltet, verfügte über alle nötigen Annehmlichkeiten, ein bequemes Bett und es war sehr ruhig. Das Hotel hat einen sehr schönen Innenhof mit Whirlpool. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und in der Nähe gibt es viele gute und ansprechende Restaurants. Die Parkmöglichkeit ist fussläufig erreichbar. Gerne kommen wir wieder einmal und empfehlen das Hotel weiter!

And you have to park outside the old city at the street 3 minutes away from the hotel. The hotel is beautifully designed, staff is extremely friendly and the breakfast is excellent. (The price of the 180 per night should not mislead you)

Francesca helped us with everything including going out of her way to help us with our Italian. Marco the owner must really practice great customer service with everyone he hires. Marta who helped us on our first visit also did a great job. Breakfast on the patio is the best we have had in Italy. Great location. When you leave you really feel like you have friends in Lecce. I think they convinced us to move there.

• GlobetrotterBK (8/5): Wundervolles Hotel, Manko für Reisende mit Auto - Eigentlich ist hier alles top! Perfekte Lage am Rand der wunderschönen Altstadt von Lecce. Ein wunderschönes Ambiente mit auserlesenem Exterieur und Interieur, das wunderbar in die historischen Mauern eingefügt wurde. Die Zimmer hell, freundlich und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Also alles gut, gäbe es nicht ein erhebliches Manko. Das Hotel liegt in der verkehrsberuhigten Zone von Lecce. Zu bestimmten Zeiten darf man auch zum Ein- und Ausladen nicht hineinfahren. Das überaus nette und immer hilfsbereite Personal hilft auch dabei und holt einen in der ca. 400 m entfernten Strasse ab, in der dann auch das Auto geparkt werden muss. Aber nun beginnt das Problem. Jeden Morgen muss man selbst vor 9 Uhr aufstehen, zum Parkautomaten laufen und dann das Parkticket im Auto hinterlegen. Da wünscht man sich eine Lösung wie z:B. Valet-Parking, die der hochwertigen Kategorie dieses Hauses entspricht. Dann gäbe es an einer 5-Sterne-Bewertung keine Zweifel mehr.

Il personale gentilissimo ci ha contattato anche prima del nostro soggiorno per facilitare il nostro arrivo ed una volta in loco ci hanno suggerito percorsi per visitare al meglio la città ed ottimi ristoranti. • Verified traveler (10/5): Posto Incantevole - Ho prenotato la suite per festeggiare il primo anniversario di matrimonio, ho ricevuto subito un contatto dalla responsabile via mail, sulla struttura c'è solo da dire che è spettacolare un posto incantato nel centro storico di una città bellissima, il personale è stato meraviglioso sempre disponibile alle mie richieste, la suite bellissima e pulitissima è stata anche superiore alle mie aspettative. la cordialità e la gentilezza con cui si viene accolti rende il soggiorno ancora più bello, per questo un ringraziamento particolare va alla signora Marta. Abbiamo avuto la possibilità di conoscere anche il titolare persona affabile e gentile che ci ha aiutato anche con i bagagli dimostrando una simpatia e una disponibiltà eccezionale, da Meridionale sono Felice e orgoglioso che esistano posti come questo dove veramente riescono a far ammirare la bellezza dei nostri luoghi associata all'accoglienza e alla calorosità del nostro essere gente del sud.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful hotel with incredibly helpful staff - The hotel was lovely, clean and stylish. A true gem. The staff, especially Marta, were so friendly and keen to help with restaurant choices and tips on day trips. They made us feel very welcome. The only negative we had was that we could hear the TV in the room next door and our room was connected to main reception
• Judith (10/5): Outstanding choice for enjoying Lecce - This was one of the best B & B experiences we have ever had. The location is perfect for touring all that Lecce has to offer. Marta and the other staff took special care to help us find wonderful restaurants and shopping. The room was ever so special with such unique touches to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast buffet was amazing with a huge array of deliciousness each morning. The outdoor patio with the gorgeous fruit trees was a wonderful space to enjoy after a day seeing the sites. Everything about our visit makes us long to return!
• Odile (10/5): Un lieu magique - Situe au calme dans le quartier historique de LECCE,magnifique ville baroque . lieu magique,rafine,et décore avec beaucoup de goût .acceuil chaleureux.des gâteaux fait maison tous les matins.... Bref un sans faute !
• olijac (8/5): Charme et calme - Hôtel de charme au centre de Lecce. Peu de chambres dans un bâtiment de caractère mais avec un confort moderne. Notre chambre disposait d'un salon en mezzanine, peu utilisable. Salle d'eau avec 2 douches. Très agréable patio pour prendre les petits déjeuners ou un verre.

• Meinrad (10/5): Die ruhige und geschmackvolle Oase - Ein sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Boutique Hotel, welches nach dem B&B-System betrieben wird. Es liegt am Rande der Altstadt in einer total renovierten Stadtvilla an einer sehr ruhigen Lage
