Guest Reviews
- Terri (2/5): Don't stay here! - Stained sheets, holes in bedspread. Handle of sink faucet fell off! Sticky floor. Overpriced for condition. Overall, yuck!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nothing is to like about this place. You should ho and checked it. Its not a place to stay at. And the picture you have it totally wrong.
- Al (4/5): - I didn't like the bathroom where I found and killed 4 cockroaches then 2 more right outside the bathroom on the sink. The painting in the bathroom was peeling off the walls. There was rotten pieces of rice underneath the bed ( probably that brought the roaches). Extremely disappointed.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Wet floor near heater. Awefull accommodations. Neighbbor in and out every 30 min. Drugs or bordelo in progress. Holes in walls. A mistake
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Horrible, period.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They advertise free WiFi, but the signal barely reaches pass the lobby and there is nowhere to even sit in the lobby and the staff sits behind a bulletproof glass window. Anytime I had questions they seemed like I was annoying them and mostly ignored me.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Hotel had no wifi, no actual lobby. Room had no clock, no hairdryer, microwave was very dirty inside,
floor & bedding appeared dirty (stained), no "do not disturb" sign, in fact - no informational signage in the room at all (emergency, etc), front of the A/C unit was broken & had to be pushed into place to work, hot water in the bathroom had a drip & was running upon check in. Cockroach near the bathroom.
- Valetha (2/5): - The hotel had mold ,uncleaned sanitation areas ,prostitution and drug being used . Staff lack of knowledge on how to run a hotel . I watch people come and go and I was and did not stay after these witnessed activities going on!!!
- Sandy (2/5): - This place was the most horrible room I have ever stayed in. Ad said breakfast, that is a lie. Ad said coffee maker in room, that is a lie. There was mildew in the shower. There was also hair in the bathtub and other parts of the bathroom.
I would NEVER recommend this hotel. It was nothing like the ad said. The staff placed the blame on Expedia.
- Shannon (2/5): - Worst hotel, ever. I didnt do any research and booked anyway because it was cheap. Door looked as if it had been kicked in, mattress had burn holes, ceiling had stains and looked like it was about to fall in at any minute. Toilet broke after first night but was quickly fixed. Orbitz said Continental breakfast but "common area" was locked and not open to guests. All the Uber drivers told us what a terrible area it's in and laughed when we told them where we were staying. NEVER, EVER stay here!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was okay the covers had burn marks on them which I didn’t care for but it was a smoking room. The hotel was fairly priced and the staff was friendly.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never stay here. - It is worth paying a little extra to stay somewhere that isnt in the middle of nowhere, looks somewhat clean, and doesnt have roaches.
Some random homeless looking guy came knocking at my door 10 min into my stay, saying he was there to clean my room. Some guy pretending to be housekeeping to get into my room? That's pretty bad. Then I got a call from the "front desk" (if you could even call it that) saying that actually WAS the guy that cleans rooms, and he was given the wrong room # by accident. That might be even worse.
Never stay here.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to where I needed to go easy to find - Quiet and comfortable room for the price I paid. I had no trouble with anything in the room. Bed was clean bathroom looked renovated. Overall I was pleased. I plan on staying again next trip to charlotte
- matthew (6/5): It was worth it for the price - All in all it wasn't bad. The junkies strung out in the stairwell were actually surprisingly very friendly, even had one sing to me as I walked by one night. Rooms were clean enough for what it was. Tv, fridge and shower worked. Only issue was that the main light switch for the room didn't work, the light came on but wouldn't go off. Stayed in for my entire 3 day stay. Only other downfall is that I couldn't get a pizza delivered after 7 pm which I found awkward but guess the area isn't the best either.
- kennneth (2/5): - The hotel was bad! I read some reviews and I felt like maybe they were over reacting. Clearly they weren't! I couldn't hardly eat due to the roaches in the room and no restaurants would deliver food to the hotel at all. Also I was made to pay for my total stay in full before I experienced how the hotel was. I told them about the bugs and the wanted to spray instead of giving me a new room ..STAY AWAY!
- Trudy (2/5): - I told you I did not stay left due to it was a trash whole my dog would not stay thete
- Esther (2/5): Roaches and prostitution ring - There were bugs in the room. The uber driver gave me the history of prostitution which occurs at this hotel... I later witnessed it. Terrible smell. Room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. I left immediately.
- Alex (2/5): A dump. No breakfast or WiFi as promised. "Bates" - Mislead about this hotel. It was a dump. If this hotel is a two star hotel, than there is no such thing as a one star. We were promised on Hotels.com a free breakfast and free wifi. They had NO breakfast, nor coffee and there was no wifi. The mattresses were terrible. The towels were thin and small. One sliver of soap and nothing else. The bathroom door wouldn't close. The room was supposed to be no-smoking but smelled of smoke just the same.
- Mellie & David (2/5): The pictures online is false!!! - This hotel was filthy! We had to go out and buy sanitizing agents to make it suitable bc no other rooms was available due to hurricane Matthew. We bought sheets, blankets and towels! Then my son was charged $20 more bc he didnt have reservations for the filthy room plus him having to go out and buy to make it suitable. The free breakfast advertised was false also but we would have never ate it anyway! We will never used orbitz.com again!!!!!!!!! TOTALLY DISSATISFIED
- omar (2/5): A REAL NIGHTMARE!!!! - This was the WORST conditions of any motel I have ever stayed in. This place is so HORRIBLE it should be condemned.
- Jan (4/5): A disappointment but good just for a night's sleep - The hotel looks in need of some major renovations. The parking lot has potholes, paint needs applying to the outside, and walkways are cracked.
Room was neat but not well cleaned. Dirty linen was left in the room, trash was found under the bed, and a burned out light by the bedside was never replaced despite the bulb being left on the bedside table.
The bed was comfortable.
- Slim (2/5): Good for just sleeping - As you walk in the front office door, you are greeted to someone behind all bullet proof glass. He asked us to pay for the room, which we did already thru the web site, we were giving our room key, told the room number, and that was it. Not explained where to find it, nothing about the wifi, and that was it. The site said they had free breakfast, which I was told they didn't after asking, nor any coffee!!!
Good place to stay if you just need to sleep for the night, cause that is all we could do.
- dottie (2/5): It was the worst place I ever stayed at - It was filthy everything was broke I would never stay at this place again
- Sara (2/5): MUST READ -- Please DO NOT STAY HERE - I am one of those people who read reviews and think "oh, for XX amount of dollars the hotel can't be that bad" or "I'm only staying one night I can deal with an uncomfortable bed". PLEASE HEAD MY WARNING AND DO NOT STAY HERE. I have never written a negative review on here before so please take me seriously. The hotel is SHADY and disgusting. No bugs, but the carpet was sticky, the toilet seat I had to wipe down because there was stuff on it (don't even ask me what I don't know) and the shower leaked so my bag on the floor got soaking wet. There was a deadbolt on the door, but I felt very unsafe in the hotel. I could barely sleep. I checked the beds for bugs before I got in (there were gnats in the room, I killed 2 of them) no bed bugs, but I was itchy the whole night. Please spend a few more dollars and stay else where. Please head everyone's warnings. It really is THAT BAD. The hotel itself was rated a C- by inspection (they display that in the hotel lobby)
- shannon (2/5): - People LIVE here! They monitor everyone on 20 different screens which is on display as soon as you walk in!! It is run down, it stinks and freaked me out. Take your business elsewhere if you aren't desperate.
- Will (4/5): You get what you paid for! - Hotel is old and run down, but suited our needs as a place to sleep for cheap. Old TVs, old burnt linens, hot water didn't work on bathroom sink, lights not working in room, AC barely working.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room bugs no phone the shower was in bad shape room 125 &135
- Shawn (2/5): poor website don't use - Hotels.com said they would hold $50.00 dollars to make sure we showed up for our reservation. They never reimbursed us the $50.00 after we showed up or got back home. Will never use them again.
- fred (2/5): It was terrible - The towels, sheets, and pillow cases where dirty they didn't clean the rooms every day no shampo the pictures where not at all the way the room was suppose to be was expected a kitchen and their was none it smelled really bad the curtains didn't stay close the ac didn't work the filters for the ac where all black and need cleaned it's run down I will never stay their again
- Verified traveler (4/5): Poor - Very poor condition
- Kim (2/5): - This was a special trip for my daughter and I. When we got there, the sign was broke and we couldn't even tell if we were at the right place. The pool was filled with mounds of dirt, with weeds as high as the fence. We called to see about a mini fridge, they said there was one, guess I should've asked if it worked... because it didn't. We had to get someone that LIVED there to open the door because there was a "trick to it". We got a smoking room... no ashtray. There was black mold growing behind and around the toilet. We called for pizza delivery and they called back and said "sorry, no one will deliver there." It was true, we called 3 other places. And to top it all off, I was woke up, at 7:00 in the morning, by a ROACH crawling on me while I slept. Needless to say, we immediately got up and left. I would NEVER stay somewhere like that again!
- DOMINIQUE (2/5): BEWARE!!! - This room was horrible!!! Never ever stay in this hotel!! Dirty everything!! Bed, shower, floor, sheets, toilet seat, and bathroom!!!
- Jose (2/5): HORRIBLE! DON'T GO HERE! - I'm a person of simple taste, not looking for anything fancy just a place to stay. But it seems to me that even I have a limit. I was so disappointed with this place that I had to rate and write a review for the first time in my life.
1. The sanitation of the hotel was so bad. I walked into my room and it smelled like I was inside an industrial nicotine factory. The ironic part was it was a non-smoking room. I had to buy fabreeze because I couldn't take the smell anymore.
2.Safety: The area was sketchy as it was, but I didn't mind. However, what horrified me was that my door didn't have a lock bolt! I was so terrified before going to sleep I had to barricade the door with the furniture around the room.
3. Cleanliness and service: The furniture was disgusting and smelled like nicotine I had to clean it and spray febreeze on it. When I came to the room after work the next day the staff did make the bed, but it smells like they smoke while they do their work!
4. The keycard barely worked and I had to swipe it a couple of times before the door could finally open. Annoying.
Summary: I felt unsafe, my health was at risk because of the foul odor! The furniture was gross and the floor! I didn't take off my shoes!
Due to the rating system I can only give this hotel a 1 star, but if I could go less I would give it a zero.
- John (2/5): Worst hotel I've ever stayed in my life. - Room was dirty, staff wasn't friendly, floor was dirty, sheets weren't clean they had stains everywhere, water wasn't working. Fridge wasn't working. Also they were arresting a hooker in front of hotel when we pulled up. They don't have free breakfast like mentioned on Ecpedia. Total misrepresentation online.
- Mother (2/5): - The staff was pleasant but the nonsmoking rooms smelled of smoke. I requested a room changed and the second non smoking smelled of smoke. It is not a great place families and I changed hotels the same day.
- Hope (2/5): roach room from charlotte - Roaches in the room we didn't even take luggage in because of them !!! We would not have stayed but they wouldn't give back money for room the room pictured for this hotel IS not this hotel they are on 3 sites that I know of ! I was so very disappointed ....had planned trip months in advance except for hotel ..... next time I will drive 20 extra miles for a baymont inn !!!!
- Ashley (2/5): Do not stay here - Absolutely awful. Terrible neighborhood, the bathrooms were disgusting, and I constantly felt like I was moments away from being murdered.
- Christy (2/5): TERRIBLE NEIGHBORHOOD - My vehicle was broken into. The staff did not care. Did not offer refunds when I checked out early. Police said it is common at this hotel. Do not stay here!! Very unsafe.
- Kasey (2/5): Hot and Muggy - Horrible. Absolutely horrible. While we weren't expecting the Ritz-Carlton or anything, the overall stay was dissatisfying. It took the workers 20 minutes to check me in, and when we finally got to our room, it was hot and muggy.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible hotel, dirty, run down and kinda scary - Was looking for a decent place for one night after a concert. This place was not decent. Was scary, at a dead end road, and we didn't feel safe.I would recommend it.
- diana (2/5): Run down motel - Started to leave when 1st arrived looked abandoned very rundown and nasty saw Roach bug in room unsafe environment
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't waste your money - I ha to change rooms 3 times because one was dirty the other the door stopped working ... I didn't enjoy at all
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Went to check in and had to check in though a plexiglass booth. My itinerary said it included a continental breakfast and it didn't. The man said they don't include breakfast. It was the worst motel I have ever stayed in. I have stayed in a lot better ones for the price. Wouldn't recommend to anyone especially families let alone any friends.
- Verified traveler (2/5): stay away!! - I toughed out a week long stay at this motel. I would never stay here again! The place is very runned down and shady neighborhood. It was a decent price but as they always say, you get what you pay for!
- Verified traveler (10/5): The hotel was nasty and smelled horribly - Hotel was very nasty. When I informed the clerk I would not be staying because of filthy conditions, I was told I had to pay for one night stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Nasty! - Awful! I will never stay here again, the room was so nasty I asked for a refund and took my family to another hotel. I didn't feel safe as soon as we got there, seems like a bad neighborhood.
- Verified traveler (4/5): my stay - No breakfast. No extra pillow or blankets. However it did the job for just sleeping.
- Stacey (2/5): Old - The place is really old and not in a good area of town. No breakfast, no daily room cleaning (had to ask for towels each day), no hair dryer and the fridge was plugged in in the bathroom and blocking the sink until I wrestled it across the room to a different outlet. Holes in the bedspread, sheets and towels. I had prepaid otherwise I would have looked for a different place.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Scared - Not good locks didnt work tv had to be fixed unexpected charges for pet filthy laundry area smells bad and very disappointed with over all stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): not as bad as - The room was not as bad as other reviews make it out to be. The outside of the hotel is run down and the pool is just weeds. The road names have changed from the directions you get from places like mapqquest and no one around there knows where it is so it was just luck we found the hotel after a couple trips up and down the road.
- BH (2/5): Avoid is possible - Reasonably priced, but you get what you pay for. Not a place for the family at all. Not the best area and hotel is very outdated. I personally would not star there again.
- dena (2/5): TERRIBLE - TERRIBLE. The reservation was mixed up. The clerk was slow and appeared unknowable of his job
- Verified traveler (2/5): One night stay - This was only a one night stay. So for the price and not driving home from the race it was worth it. BUT the room stated non smoker-the room smelled like smoke. You get what you pay for...
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible - The room was awful. You could see light all around the door because it would not close properly. The electrical outlets worked about 40% of the time. The bathroom was disgusting. The tub looked like it had not ever been cleaned.
- Larry (2/5): - The door would not open on the first 2 rooms and the room I got, the door did not close properly. The tub looked like it had not been cleaned for 5 years. The bed was lumpy. I checked out at 2:00 am.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very bed hotel - The hotel is very old, not renovated, dirty, smell bad and absolutely not plreasant. It is very cheap, but we just stayed in another city for the similar price, and there is nothing to compare!
- Aida (2/5): never at this place - I will never stay there, it was not clean, mattres broken, I had to call several times for service, did not have cooffe in the rooms nor blow dryer or iron, in the internet when I reserved supposed to have free continental breakfast, and was a lie, the sheets look that it was never washed, it was a nightmare, the ceiling was broken and fair apart, and smell bad
- MelissaMarie (2/5): RUN... RUN VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE - First off, this place should be DEMOLISHED! This was by far the worst place I've ever stayed in. I reserved and paid for 4 nights and left after the second (only because we were so busy and exhausted). The listing through Expedia said the location has a bar/lounge on site (but it was no where in sight), the service/treatment is terrible, rooms are filthy; asked for and received a non-smoking room but I might as well have been in a smoking area. The room had towels from a gym that were stained and so were the bed sheets and pillows. My husband and I are relocating and fortunately had our sleeping bags to lay on the bed. The tub has cigarette stains and is beyond gross and even had hair on the wall and from places I don't even want to imagine. The toilet is just gross!!! The hallways were dirty with broken glass everywhere. Other neighboring rooms has broken glass windows. Our room smelled like car urine. The room door looks like someone tried breaking in and out of the rooms (the side are all broke/messed up).. Overall this place really just needs to be taken down and rebuilt as I do not see anything positive to it. The management/owners of the place live there, I think - but whatever, I just suggest they learn how to speak to their patrons. In a place as terrible and torn down as that, the least you could do is be pleasant, but NOPE! They do not care!
- Deckie (2/5): Hotel should be demolished. - Let's put like this, nothing works sink clogged, toilet bowl dirty, bathroom door broken, hole in wall, ceiling missing tiles, trash behind dresser, entury door don't lock with dead bolt, refrigerator not working old dresser & trashih in hallway.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Hotel Run down - Its not the WORSE but I wouldn't pay no more than 40$ for it
- Verified traveler (2/5): Good staff - I wrote a review the other day about how unhappy I was with the room. I had reservations for another day and decided to cancel them. Expedia inform me that the hotel had a no refund policy. After speaking with both the hotel staff and Expedia the hotel granted me a full refund. I would not recommend this place to anyone other than someone looking to party or someone who really does not have money for a hotel. However the staff was very cooperative and I give them high marks.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Shameful - Although the room was prepaid and guaranteed late arrival, they have away my room. Traveled four hours to get there.
Would not honor my resevation or give a refund.
Then they finally gave me a room with a busted lock.
The linen was dirty. The carpet was caked with soil.
This property does not deserve to be listed!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Pictures are not accurate. Shady location just awful
- Tamiaya (4/5): It was OK just for 1 night - Lady at desk was rude and toilet did not work, neither did the microwave
- Jim (2/5): Dump don't stay for free even - Broken doors. for check inn no lobby. Woman behind a glass window. lobby is her house. No employee for house keeping. no break fast. ZERO service. Many homeless lives there on long term basis. Its a family business run by a lady who lives on site. No toiletry. dirty bath rooms broken furniture. Its a third world living. Horrible!!!!!!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Scary to stay here but it was so cheap - At least it was very cheap which was what we wanted but it was a little scary
- Adam (4/5): stolen funds. - I was charged twice for my room. I paid on your website, and was also told to pay when I arrived. This is probably happening to others. I was also threatened with law enforcement action, when the manager/owner discovered I had a dog. I did not inform them originally, because the hotels.com website stated that "pets are allowed". I was rushed out of my room, to the front desk, and made to pay a $25 fee.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient location - Near shopping, eateries and entertainment.
I like that it has upgraded rooms that are now apartments. You can't tell that there are because it's so quiet.
Nice staff, however, there's no continental breakfast, complimentary newspaper and Check out is at 11am .
Nice place
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Experience - Nice room and staff.
Does not feature free continental breakfast as advertised, but was a good stay in general.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Building should be distorted and re build with new appliance, beds and air condition.
- Amy (2/5): It was ultimately the very worst establishment. - No one in their right mind would ever stay there. The description posted on their website was a lie. There was no continental breakfast, no coffee and no coffee in the room. The light in the vanity did not work. The toilet flushed occasionally. The air conditioner was falling apart. WiFi was very intermittent. A photo with glass above one of the beds, had broken glass held together with duck tape, a major hazard, and it was screwed to the wall so it could not be moved. The remote did not work. The hotel staff were extremely rude and not helpful. Some of the outlets were not completely covered, which could cause a fire or hurt someone, never mind it being totally against code. The tub looked like someone had been cleaning paint brushes in it, it was also completely disgusting. Needless to say, we did not take showers, we were also too scared to brush our teeth. Also, someone was banging at our door late at night. We were unable to look through the peep hole do to the fact it had paper stuck in it. That unnerved us to the point we were afraid to sleep. This place needs to be condemned or at least taken off your website. Needless to say, I will not be using your website again.
- homemaker (8/5): Very pleasant - I am frm out of state.The front desk/mgr clerk was pleasent,fast,anhelpful.
the room upon entering was clean, and the furniture an bathroom was clean an in good condition. The bed was clean an very comfortable.Tv an remote an lighting was all good.Over all and especially for the price i would give it on a scale of 1-5 a 4
- Verified traveler (2/5): horrible - Not a good neighborhood. Don't provide soap. Bathroom was dirty. Upkeep of hotel exterior had not been done
- Verified traveler (2/5): This place should be closed - Room smelled with funk. Bugs were in bed
- Denise (2/5): You get what you pay for - You get what you pay for. The sheets were cleanish, the rest of the room was filthy. I'm not exaduarting here, dirtier then a gas station bathroom in a zombie appocolypse. No hotel lobby. Just an entryway with a window encased in bullet proof glass, looks like a place where you would pay by the hour.
Did I mention there were holes in the wall and lights hanging by thier wires?
