• William (10/5): Quirky stay with hostel vibes - Friendly staff- Complimented our dogs so of course we liked everyone. Fun rooms!! Its hard to choose which one to stay in. Beautiful house and grounds. I loved all the plants - both real and fake. The place it so quirky. 100% private room in hostel vibes. Reminded me of places I stayed in Central America. Self check in was smooth and all instructions were clear. Had no question on how to get around the grounds. The Red Room was really cool and the shower lots of fun. Considering it's adults only the hot tub area closing at night was disappointing. Too hot during the day (May) and closed by the time you make it back from dinner :( The kitchen being right next to the Red Room was a bit awkward. I'm glad I realized you can hear people in the Red Room from the kitchen. So we had to be extra quiet. The TV in the Red Room shower needs removed. It doesn't work and it looks... bad. I booked the Red Room vs another for the shower (and TV in the shower because that's cool). Was kinda unhappy about that.

• oldbrezzy (10/5): A beautiful place definitely worth chosing - The mansion was great, nothing was missing, everything was looking beautiful, we received a free room upgrade due to broken air conditioning, however, we had opportunity to choose the originally booked room as well - it was nice to have a choice. We didn't expect any breakfast, yet the host let us use the food which was in the fridge, so there was something to eat in the morning. The host (Janis) was very friendly and helpful. Fleur De Lis Mansion is a highly recommended place for short and longer stays in New Orleans. For us, Europeans, it was more fun that a normal hotel, as this place has a soul. The only concern was the bridge close to the mansion - we heard that at night it's better not to walk under it and it's on the way to the city centre.
• Claire (8/5): Fun, kitchy, comfortable stay close to attractions, good restaurants and bars! - Fun little property located in walkable distance to the WWII museum, Lafayette Square, good restaurants and bars. Property was clean and offered many amenities like outdoor seating areas, BBQ grills, hot tub etc. The house kitchen is available for use and they are now starting to make bagels and english muffins available at breakfast which was appreciated. If you stay in the Champagne Room,shower with the lights off for a bit of fun. I’m guessing there are other fun surprises in the different themed rooms. We had a little difficulty with the various entry codes sent to us but that was quickly sorted out with lightning response from property management.

The girl that was running the property was so kind and incredibly helpful! We stayed during the winter storm that just hit and they were so accommodating in giving us extra blankets and a portable heater for the room. We stayed in the red room and absolutely loved it! We felt so safe and the room and bathroom were beautiful and clean. We utilized the kitchen quite often and we loved it. Ice, bagels, milk, coffee all the good stuff was provided which was so helpful!! Oh and a collection of seasonings which is always a sign of a great bnb! I have nothing to complain about genuinely!!
• Angel (7/5): I will book here again - I enjoyed historical look of the place, but everything was very very nice. My wall heater didn’t work. And the floor heater knobs were broken. My room was cold the whole time. But thank goodness for another tenant who provided me the heater they had. Then I was able to warm the room and get some rest. In the middle of the evening I could smell the sewage so the next door restroom.. The door locks need to realigned. I had a hard time trying to lock the top and bottom locks.

• linda (8/5): Fun stay in a super eclectic building. Great value for the money. - I liked the character of the place. The common areas were fabulous. The flexibility if letting us check in early was super. I loved the strobe lights above the bathtub. It was very hard to sleep at night with the bright lights on the balcony and in the hallway with no means of turning them off.

• Megan (10/5): - I never write reviews on hotels, but I had to this time because of how perfect my stay was! This was easily the coolest hotel I room I have ever been in. My partner and I stayed in the Hollywood suite for three nights, and we couldn't stop talking about how nice the room was our entire time there. The environment of the entire property was such a nice and peaceful vibe. The outside was decorated beautifully, and the hot tub and pool were so nice to relax in. The owner was super nice and helpful. I really appreciated how they answered any question or request right away because that is very rare at hotels and air bnbs. The location was also a great spot. I will for sure be recommending this hotel to anyone I know traveling in the area, and I sure cannot wait to come back here myself! Nothing

• Gerard J (8/5): This property was a real find. I’d love to return in future trips to the Big Easy - Historical property sensibility done. Old South can easily be overdone or really shabby. Your property hit a comfortable midpoint for me. I was initially unsure about the parking but it worked out just fine. No complaints.
• Timothy (4/5): Mirror room - The area around the house was decent The room was wall to wall and ceiling with mirrors and a blue light ambient from under the bed , not what it looks like on line, if you have mobility issues this is not the room for you as you have to climb onto a foot tall ledge to get to the toilet or shower with no type of hand rails, may explain half of the cracked or broken mirrors in the room, even the owners are staff apologize for the room , and it's located under the over pass so you can sleep to the rumbling of cars all night, they have other rooms but I think they need to do away with this one, it is nothing to be desired at all

• Lillian (1/5): - We were so excited to get away before the holidays and enjoy New Orleans. We decided to experience our first bed and breakfast. Unfortunately that was short lived. Your ad describes a safe, clean and desirable location. However, it wasn't. Fleur De Lis Mansion was located in a truly sketchy, unsafe, Filthy area.. It states walking distance to downtown. Well that was the only truth to their ad on your website, it left out you'll have to go under the main highway under the overpass. That was poorly litted and tons of homeless living their as well. They call that safe. I Immediately i called the owners with no avail. We had to check into another hotel. People need to stay away.This place isn't a good place .or a good location at all. I would like a full refund, and I would like you guys to assist me in doing so.

• Whyjay (8/5): 奇特的房間 - 房間室內外都非常的奇特，有一種獨特的品味。在這之前，我從來沒有過站在我的房間 (Royal Suite) 門外面淋浴的經驗！水都把門牌潑溼了。 據說最近共用的廚房開始試提供免費的貝果和果醬，如果懶得做早餐或出門買早餐，那麼就是一個 Plus。 1. Royal Suite 如廁區域沒有獨立隔間 (只提供活動式屏風)，而且便座沒有馬桶蓋，雖然已經是沖水時不太會噴的款式了，但對於衛生要求較高的人，確實需要再三考慮。 2. Royal Suite 洗手台與牆壁的接著處有縫隙，小東西掉進去就拿不出來了。
• Oliver (7/5): A very convenient place to stay near the Conference Center, just be prepared for some quirks. - It's a cool historical house with a large beautiful dining/kitchen. Breakfast provided was a big plus, and the host checked in when it was a particularly cold night which was very nice. For the price compared to other places around the area, it was affordable and suited my needs as a solo-traveler. It could have just been my room (White Room) but the walls were very thin, I could hear coughing and talking most nights. There was also a strong sewage smell coming from the sink, so I tried not to use it as much. I was unsure about the tap water situation, though I didn't think to message the host about it, so I mostly stuck with getting water outside.

I love walking up to see the big beautiful house that's beautifully restored. The hot water didn't seem to work a lot of the time we were there . There was no parking on the street but found a well lit safe street to park close by. The mansion is directly under the interstate but stayed pretty quiet

• Emmalynn (10/5): Great NOLA trip! - Everything was fantastic. We really enjoyed ourselves and the champagne room. My partner and I arrived a bit early and were able to drop off our stuff before doing what we had planned. The hot tub was HUGE and the theater room was neat. The kitchen was absolutely amazing as well. If we get the opportunity, we will definitely be back. It being within walking distance to everything was an insane steal too!! Absolutely phenomenal. The towels were a little soft for our liking, but that was the only “complaint”. We had an amazing time.

• Curt (10/5): W hat an unexpected hidden gem!! - Absolutely loved the history, the roominess, and the staff! This place is absolutely beautiful. Also loved the location. This is not really a complaint but the room we had (Royal Balcony suite) the shower was outside and a tub inside. One of the mornings it was 50° so it made for an interesting shower. The water was extremely hot so that was a plus! I believe this is the only room with an outside shower.
• Mark (10/5): - Amazing location, walkable to loads of stuff, straight off highway and right there - was quiet even though near overpass, parking was a cinch, left car around corner for 3 days, never had to move it, loads of space. Janis the manager was amazingly helpful, place felt like a 2nd home, met a bunch of people passing through the communal kitchen, simple bagels for breakfast in case you forgot. Best place I've stayed on road trip so far

Janis was so helpful with suggestions on how to get around and directed us to places a bit more family friendly. (We were meeting up with family.) Actually can’t complain about anything. Parking on the side street would be inconvenient for anyone who had difficulty walking. For us it wasn’t an issue.

A high end kitchen with very expensive equipment.A commercial side by side frig & freezer. Good internet with flat screen tv’s. A very nice modern bathroom with a huge shower. A huge dinning room with a huge table. JANIS is the best! Thanks for your fast and friendly service & help. Great bang for the bucks with free parking plus a great location near the WW2 museum. You can stare at the small details everywhere on the property. This is the reason that old building should be saved. They can’t build them like this anymore. Ever inch of the property is a crazy and wild mix of small details that works Nothing but I would love to stay in a different room every time I visit.
