The location was excellent, and parking was convenient with no issues encountered. The breakfast offering was commendable, with a good variety of options available. Overall, the staff provided excellent service and were professional, courteous, and accommodating throughout my stay. The bacon was somewhat hard to chew and could be improved.

• Javier (4/5): Disappointing customer service and unexpected extra charges at check in but good location near Ayala - Good location, very close to Ayala Malls. Unfortunately, our experience at check-in was disappointing. We booked a room for three people through Booking.com, but upon arrival we were asked to pay an extra fee for our daughter. The staff member could not show any indication of this on our booking and refused to call a manager when I asked for clarification, saying there was no manager in the hotel. In the end, we paid the extra charge out of frustration. The handling of the situation was unprofessional and felt disrespectful. Because of this and the unexpected charges, we will likely stay at one of the nearby hotels on our next visit.

• Justina (7/5): In essence it was a fine hotel to stay one night, room clean and spacious, beds comfortable enough. - It is in a fairly good location, close to huge shopping centre with variety of shops and restaurants. Close to good massage 24hour place, called Thai Cha Massage I think. Room had a bathtub. Air-conditioner was working fine. The breakfast selection was very limited and the quality of most items wasn’t great. The only things we genuinely enjoyed were the bananas, boiled eggs, and bok choy. The coffee was fine. There were several staff members present at breakfast, but unfortunately they were mostly just standing around. The experience would have been much better if someone had offered coffee service or informed guests that eggs could be ordered separately — there were no signs or information about this. A bit more attentiveness and communication would have made a big difference. The men’s sauna didn’t work. That was a disappointment.

• Gerhard (10/5): Gutes Hotel wenn man sich an der Kautionszahlung nicht stört. - Top Hotel! Es ist dort alles so wie man sich das vorstellt! Sehr sauber, komfortabel mit guter Ausstattung. Das Frühstück ist absolut ausreichend und sehr gut. Beim Einchecken sind 2000 PHP zu bezahlen, die der Gast beim Verlassen des Hotels zurück erhält. Ich reise seit 48 Jahren sehr oft durch Asien, aber das habe ich noch nicht erlebt, denn es zeigt ein tiefes Misstrauen gegenüber den "werten" Gästen. Sorry das ist no go!!!!

• Roger (9/5): A good hotel with comfortable rooms, centrally located - We stayed at the Mandarin Plaza as it was centrally located to many Cebu city attractions and for it's access to the airport. We had spacious, clean and comfortable rooms and staff at the front desk were courteous and efficient. Although the breakfast spread was elaborate, a few essential items were missing and the standard of the food in general could be better.

• Martin O'Dee (1/5): I will NEVER stay at the Mandarin Plaza Hotel again! - I stayed at this hotel many times between 2012 and 2019 so I decided to stay again (3x on my last trip). I am VERY SORRY that I prepaid. I tried to sort out the issues with the front desk manager who said "go ahead and put up a bad review" ... so just for her. DO NOT STAY at this place. The front desk manager has an extremely poor attitude. I was offered a downgrade to be on the same floor as my family, I was then moved to a different room because the room did not have tv. The ac was noisy, the breakfast was ordinary and frankly, I don't know if they are financially stressed, but the place was much better 10 years ago. I will NEVER stay there again. Note to office manager - never tell anyone to go ahead and write a review! There are multiple hotels with good service and managers within a walking distance of Ayala!

Location are nice going to ayala mall walking distance but if you travelling with elderly not good idea to do jay walk across the street 😆 The sink in the toilet not flowing properly it seems clogged.

Toilet stopped flushing the first morning, but it was fixed with urgency and there were no issues afterwards. Shampoo was really nice too.

• Giselle (8/5): Overall, we had a pleasant stay with great service and a wonderful birthday surprise for my son - Breakfast, room, and location were all good. The only issue I encountered was with the room setup, but it was resolved immediately by the staff. Before booking, I made sure the room could accommodate three guests—I saw three beds in the photo and the booking details confirmed it. However, upon check-in, there were only two beds. I had to pay an additional ₱3,000 (₱1,000 per night) for an extra bed. I was okay with it, but I hope the photos aren’t misleading in the future. 😊 Also, kudos to the front desk, housekeeping, and the restaurant team for decorating the room for my son’s birthday. He was so surprised to see the balloons and the cake on his bed—it really made his day! Thank you for going the extra mile. 🎉 Upon checkout, I was charged ₱150 for a missing face towel. I was certain I didn’t mix it in with our clothes, and even went back up to the room, but housekeeping insisted there was one missing. I didn’t want to hold up the line of guests checking in that day, so I paid the amount. When I got home and checked our bags, there was no hotel towel included in our things. A bit sad that I paid ₱150 for a face towel 😅 Just wanted to share this so it can be reviewed—I left feeling a little disappointed.

• len (7/5): good to stay, location wise and value for money. - Breakfast was great, and the location is amazing! The room is really spacious and clean, making it comfortable for our stay. The first room we stayed in was nice, but the bathtub faucet wasn’t working, so we had to switch to another room. It was pretty late, and we just wanted to rest. It would’ve been better if the hotel staff had checked everything before letting guests check in.
