- Marina Jung (5/5): Good location if traveling for work and for one or two nights. - comfortable bed. it is possible to open windows. that there was only one sort of tea, no coffee machine, the room was very small, and it would be unsuitable if I were there for a holiday. lack chairs or a desk to sit on. lack of cutlery and plates. unsuitable for a couple. the room was too small.

- David (7/5): - Stayed here 5-6 times in the last year as the office is in the next street. Location is good for Carlton and CBD, tram near entrance. Can usually get the same reasonable price online for room. Large kitchen facilities, small gym, coffee vending machine, work pods near reception. Aircon is strong. The Booking.com rooms always front on to Swanston St so it's very occasionally noisy but not too bad. Like all other hotels, rates double when there is an event on. $129 room was $250 during F1 GP and Aus Open. Not a lot of ambience but comfortable if no issues with room - had to change once as someone had been smoking in booked room.

Tiene facilidades como máquina de café, billar y lavadoras y secadoras. El parking privado de pago que tienen es de altura máxima 2.1m, por ello, si van con coche más alto, tanto ahí como en Melbourne es casi misión imposible encontrar parkings privados para dejar el coche todo el día.

- William (9/5): - Great location, friendly helpful staff, room was great, very clean, comfortable bed. The Aircon didn't heat the room, it was very cold even though I turned the temp on the thermostat up to 27⁰, and half of the buttons on the TV remote didn't work, I had to change the "source" to HDMI to get a black screen so I could get to sleep.

The Essence Hotel was within easy walking distance form the venue. There were so many nearby restaurants that it gave us a good choice of different cuisines during our stay. We used the hotel as an economical place to sleep. If you need a more spacious room then maybe this hotel is not for you. We used the hotel as an economical place to sleep, close to the venue we were visiting Not much room for dancing!

- Tony (5/5): Convenient and feels more like a students hostel - I like walking, so it's walking distance from downtown around 20-30min. Plenty of venues for food/drinks around and the uni is close, so a lot of students. I guess it was the day, but I paid almost 400$ for a night... and for the quality of the facilities, it's quite overpriced. Probably it is Melbourne and prices are high, but I found it a bit pricey (not many options available though).

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the free trams or right out the front is the paid trams. It is only a 4 block walk to the Victoria markets. no wine glasses in the room.

- Ranak (8/5): Your ideal hotel if you are a Melbourne student/ parent - Location, location, location! Undoubtedly one of the best places to stay for acceasing Uni Melb/ RMIT or CBD or Lygon street. Ezy Mart & St.Ali cafe just next door make it an amazing place! Front desk staff is very good & one of then went out of his way to get back my lost phone. No housekeeping on weekends & needed reminders to service the room on Monday. The check post 9pm requires calling a local number- many guests might not have roaming/ local sim. Better to send instructions of email/ booking.com site instead.

I was happy with it all except my view looked straight into student accommodation which was very close so I had to keep my curtain closed. A privacy blind would be a good remedy.

There was no hotel stay book so I had no idea where anything was in the building or how to operate the aircon which was set to freezing and no heater option?

Also, there were only two power outlets in the room and none of them was even remotely close to the bed, which made charging my devices hard.

- Joanna (5/5): Hostel, not a hotel. - Location 1) nowhere during the booking was I informed that there is no housekeeping service for stays shorter than 5 nights (we stayed for 4). There were staff coming every day to change the towels and make up the bed but that was it. Room wasn’t cleaned even once. 2) completely dusty shelf above the bed and window frame in the bathroom. Both black so you can see the dust immediately while looking at those places… haven’t been cleaned for ages.
