Iris Duong (8/5): - I love the room here, very spacious, unique. We enjoyed the paddle boat and kayak. Beautiful place for couples. The pool is actually deep, 1m6 at the lowest point. Kid pool is very dirty and away from the adult pool and the hot springs pool. No safe guard on pool and lake. Not the place for kids.

J5858YMalexandrat (10/5): Beautiful resort overlooking River Kwai - We arrived here after a less than comfortable (but very special!) stay on a nearby jungle raft and could really appreciate the upgrade to something comfortable, beautiful and air-conditioned. The resort looks fantastic, with beautiful landscaping, rooms in small buildings and a spectacular view over the river. There’s a large pool, flanked by hot springs, a pond with canoes, a zipline and open air reception area and dining. Staff were friendly, food was great, rooms were comfortable. Loved it!

24snap (8/5): - The resort itself was very nice, peaceful and relaxing, the staff were helpful and food was good and reasonable, the pool was good and hot spa pools were good too. The tree top Zip line looked ace for the younger people. Would visit again. Warning, regarding swimming in the river trip. My advice dont.Without any exageration I'm lucky I survived. I believe the resort totally got this wrong, how I dont know, but it was a total disaster. Booked the trip, which was supposed to be take you down river swap to another boat, which I thought would be with others, but at last minute they said was a problem and had to move time, which we couldnt do as had something else planned, so they said it was ok and would adjust slightly, which we agreed. Then took us Jetty and a young guy took down river put us on a jetty and moved boat to middle of river and said get in. The current was very strong and immediatley took me. Cut a long story short my wife didn't get in thankfully. I got taken down stream so far I couldnt even see the boat or my wife, the current pushed me to the rock face and I couldn't swim against the strong current, the lad in the boat had made my wife get back in the boat and had arrived by now, but had no rope, life ring or anything to throw me, my wife litrrrally screaming help him. I luckily used all my strenght to swim to the boat. But by now had no strength left to pull myself in to the boat and the lad pulled me in. Did have a life jacket, but it wasnt fitted correctly and was rising up my neck. Like I said don't.
Daniela (9/5): Für ein paar sehr ruhige Tage sehr zu empfehlen - Sehr abgelegen, das muss man mögen. Für uns war es genau das richtige. 3-4 Tage sind absolut ausreichend. Wir empfehlen eine Villa mit Flusssicht. Mehr Privatsphäre. Die anderen Zimmer sind sehr ringhörig wurde uns gesagt. Die Villa jedoch hat einen guten Abstand zur direkten Nachbarschaft.

David (10/5): Wonderful place to stay at River Kwai - Absolute fantastic resort! We stayed three nights and loved every minute. Could have stayed longer. The layout of the resort is so nice with a great view of the river. So relaxing and tranquil. Loved the pool and hotspring. Activities on sight and close by which was nice with kids. Very clean - staff constantly keeping grounds nice. Good restaurant with attentive service. Did a trip to Hellsfire (close by) - one of the best and most professional historic museums we have been to even compared to Europe and USA. Nothing. The resort could expand with massage service but we did not miss it.

Els (8/5): - Zeer mooi en rustig domein. Mooi logement in de natuur. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel Eigenlijk niets. Jammer dat het domein niet bereikbaar is met een grap of bolt. Vanaf de Hellfire Pass, welke kortbij was vonden we niets van vervoer. Gelukkig was het hotelpersoneel zo vriendelijk ons een lift te geven.

Sabine (8/5): Wunderbare Anlage in der Natur - Wir hatten Onsen Villa #6: Schöne Villa, gutes Bett, sehr ruhige Lage. Tolle Terrasse mit eigenem Onsen und Blick auf den Fluss. Regenwaldgeräusche inklusive. Ich würde immer wieder die Onsen Villa buchen, das war schon sehr besonders. Schöne naturnahe Anlage mit Pool und auch schöner Terrasse für Frühstück/ Drinks/ Abendessen. Eher zufällig haben wir herausgefunden, dass man im Schwersterresort (Floating) tolle Massagen bekommt - einen ganz wunderbaren Fußweg durch den Bambusdschungel entfernt. Frühstücksauswahl war nicht ganz so üppig wie in den anderen Hotels auf unserer Reise, aber von Obst über Toast zu asiatischen Gerichten gab es alles. Restaurant: geschmacklich gut (nicht überragend), ein wenig mehr Auswahl wäre schön. Ohne Auto kommt man kaum weg. Die hoteleigenen Fahrer sind völlig überteuert und ein Bolt/ Grab kommt oft gar nicht ins Resort. Man ist bzgl. Abendessen auf das Restaurant angewiesen. Das Personal an der Rezeption war manchmal etwas überfordert mit unseren (Standard) Fragen. Mehr Liegen am Pool wären gut. Die Info mit den Massagen waren nicht sehr transparent, da könnte das Hotel gerne etwas mehr Werbung machen. Wie so oft: kaum Möglichkeit, seine Kleidung ausserhalb des Koffers zu verstauen. Das Wasser in der Dusche war manchmal etwas zu heiß, aufgrund des Thermalwassers.
Thirza (8/5): - Mooi, ruim en sfeervol huisje. De locatie is afgelegen en rustig met mooi uitzicht op de rivier. Het eten was goed. De tuin is mooi groen en netjes onderhouden. Het prive buitenbad bij het huisje was te heet om gebruik van te maken. Het koude water wat toegevoegd kon worden was ook warm. We hebben meerdere keren gevraagd om hier aanpassingen in te doen maar dit is niet gelukt. Het zou fijn zijn om zelf de mogelijkheid in temperatuur te regelen.

Walter Ulrich (8/5): 3 Sterne Anlage, mehr nicht und überteuert, dennoch super schön - Die Lage hoch über dem River Kwai ist phantastisch, wunderschöne und gepflegte Gartenanlage mit weit verstreuten Unterkünften, sauberer Pool an den Hot Spring Pool grenzend und den Natur Teich, gutes Restaurant ... sehr gutes Wifi, riesiges Bett !!!, viele Aktivitäten buchbar Wasserdruck im Bad, veraltete ( aber funktionirende ) A/C, viel zu kleiner Hängeschrank für Kleidung und keine Fächer/Läden für Unterwäsche, T-Shirts etc., defekter Safe, Aktivitäten überteuert, ebenso Getränke

Sytse (10/5): Wat een voorrecht om hier te mogen verblijven! - Vooral de locatie van het zwembad en Hot-spring! Je voelt je één met de omgeving. Het park is fantastisch gesitueerd. De geschiedenis van dit gebied wordt zeker niet overgeslagen. Zeer behulpzaam personeel. Heerlijk ontbijt. Niets - prima.
Willi-Viktor (9/5): Entspannung im Dschungel-Hotel - Eine Oase im Dschungel. Zwei Kilometer und hundert Höhenmeter tiefer als die Hauptstraße, direkt am Fluss gelegen. Das Konzert der Vögel und anderen Tiere, ohne Zivilisationsgeräusch; beeindruckend. Die Zimmer, eigentlich einzelne "Hütten" im Wald verstreut sind komfortabel eingerichtet. Große Dusche und Waschgelegenheit. Die Anlage hat sich der Natur untergeordnet. Es werde einige Aktivitäten, allerdings nicht preiswert, angeboten. Der Pool ist durchgehend 180 cm tief und von 07:00 Uhr bis 21 Uhr geöffnet. Schwimmen im Mondschein unter Sternenhimmel! Daneben das Becken mit 38-40 Grad, 90 cm tief, aus der heißen Quelle. Wir hatten nur eine Nacht, zwei bis drei hätten mir besser gefallen.

Joyce (7/5): - Heerlijke bungalow en goede matrassen. Fijne locatie met heerlijk zwembad en prachtige omgeving om tot rust te komen. Wij waren hier gekomen zonder auto aangezien wij in Thailand overal scooters huren. Dit was hier niet mogelijk en een taxi bestellen was bijna niet te doen of heel duur. Dus prima accommodatie mits je eigen vervoer hebt hier.

Renée (8/5): Mooi in de natuur gelegen resort, leuk om hiervandaan de rivier te bekijken. - Mooi aangelegd met allerlei watervalletjes en meertjes, mooi zwembad en lekker warmwaterbad. Het uitzicht bij het restaurant over de Kwai rivier was schitterend. Het park lag midden in de natuur. Er kon mooi gewandeld worden. De kamer was erg onhandig ingericht: alle lichtknopjes zaten tussen de bedden in, zelfs voor de badkamer, dus als je naar de WC wilde, moest je eerst over je bed klimmen om het licht aan te doen. En een deurknop om de buitendeur open te doen op kniehoogte was ook onpraktisch. De houten bank buiten zat niet erg comfortabel. Zonder eigen vervoer kom je niet makkelijk van het resort weg, dus voor eten en drinken ben je aangewezen op het resort, maar ze hebben een prima keuken.

Lothar (9/5): Eine Entdeckung am River Kwai, allerdings ist eigenes Auto sehr zu empfehlen - Die sehr schöne Lage hoch über dem River Kwai. Es gibt 2 Pools, einer mit normaler Temperatur und einer mit ca. 32 Grad warmen Wasser, sehr angenehm nach kühler Nacht. Die Integration der Bungalows in den tollen Garten/Dschungel war wunderschön Frühstück war so lala
Gayle (10/5): Loved the week. The ghost of the POW haunt the jungle. Yes, we will - The location & the History. The WWII War Museum. It is awesome that Home Phutoey River Kwai honors these POW’s with this amazing museum. The history made HP River Kwai more than a resort. Also the million dollar view, waking up to the sounds of many different birds and listening to the Howler Monkeys across the river in the evenings. The food is amazing! Great breakfast buffet. The Pool area needs some attention. Board on the deck needs replaced and a bit of tidying up would make the pool & lake area more attractive. It is sad people still litter but train your staff to pick it up. Have more than one rubbish bin. The elephant in the Mont Village. OH what a sad sad situation for that one elephant as is for the one across the river. This is not ethical treatment of the elephants. They need to be in an ethical sanctuary with other elephants. The elephant at the Mong Village was showed pure flustration & anger being kept in that small enclosure waiting to be fed a banana that it smacked me a good one with its trunk. About knocked me on my butt. Did break a finger. No blame to the elephant but to the Ming people for keeping it in solitary like a Prisoner of its own war. Shame on them. A hotel shuttle to the market would be a nice.

AnnMPark (10/5): Exceptional - Manager Ya was exceptional in humility and hospitality! He personally helped load our baggage in the car. Pool personnel very helpful and informative. Restaurant staff was kind and timely. We had the VERY best omelettes. Landscape and garden staff was very thoughtful, working so hard entire time we sat near by. Hotel of our choice when we return!! Thank you ☺️
Nichapat (10/5): Sehr shöner Ort wir sind zufrieden kann sehr gzt erholen. - Ein wunderschöner Ort mit freundlichem und aufmerksamen Personal in allen Abteilungen. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet. Die Umgebung ist ruhig, friedlich und von reiner Natur umgeben. Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Das Nachbarzimmer hat an zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Nächten zwischen etwa Mitternacht und 1 Uhr morgens laute Musik abgespielt und laut gesungen, sodass wir nicht schlafen konnten. Das war sehr rücksichtslos. Das Resort hat uns jedoch ein anderes Zimmer angeboten und uns umgezogen – das war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.
