Guest Reviews
- stephen (10/5): Perfect gem of a B&B. Minutes from beach and town. - Perfect location, lovely room, comfortable bed, immaculately clean. Host was friendly, warrm and welcoming. Breakfast was cooked to order with great choice of option. Rooms were well supplied with tea/coffee etc. I can fully understand why this lovely B&B has so many regular returners. Nothing is too much trouble and you feel very well looked after. N/A
- Richard (10/5): - Nikki was so friendly, welcoming and organised. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Everything was very clean and fresh and beds very comfy. The breakfasts were excellent, well cooked and good quality food. The homemade bakes were a perfect treat. 2 minutes to the sea front and parking on site a huge bonus. Would return again. Nothing
- Katie (10/5): Great location, great hosts and delicious breakfast with a comfortable room. - Delicious and varied menu. Preorder made mornings easier and Nikki was so efficient. Loved the inclusion of hollandaise sauce, a real treat. A little bit of work needed on bathroom floor but not a problem.
- Tracy (10/5): This is a little gem of a B & B. Best one we have stayed in with our dog. - Everything.
From the time we arrived to the time we left we were made to feel very welcome. Nikki went above and beyond to welcome us and especially our dog.
Room was lovely and clean and the breakfast was amazing. So much to choose from.
The B & B is the perfect location to go on the beach or into the town. There was nothing to dislike from our stay.

- Gwen (9/5): Perfect little haven, literally a stones throw away from the beach, where I felt very welcome and comfortable. Thank you - Perfect location. Comfortable and quiet, especially given room was next to the front door. Delicious cooked breakfast. Helpful free map of Weymouth & welcome pack, with ideas of where to visit, eat & drink. Friendly, welcoming and accommodating hosts, with great communication. Strong smelling room freshners and laundry scent (this is coming from simeone who is sensitive to strong smells and opt for unfagranced wherever possible).
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (8/5): 'Stones Throw' is an ideal base to explore Weymouth. - Very warm welcome from Nikk, who was friendly and helpful.Perfect location for us as we travelled by train...everything was on the doorstep.
Really delicious breakfast to start the day and we were blessed with sunshine. All good.

- John (10/5): Excellent dog friendly accommodation in a good location and well run - Great location near beach and town centre with car parking. Good breakfast with a wide selection of options. Friendly welcome on arrival and each morning at Breakfast. our dog also enjoyed a lot of attention.
- Jemma (10/5): The most beautiful place!😍 - We had the best few days away in Weymouth!
Nikki and Pete were fantastic hosts and the stones throw guest house was absolutely stunning!
We had fantastic weather for our few days away which absolutely made the holiday 10/10 too!
Thank you so much for having us and we will be back very soon!
- Andrew (9/5): Excellent host with everything we needed and more. - We were greeted by a lovely lady Nikki the owner who made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent.
Each day was a small free cake for all her visitors which were very tasty. A lovely touch. Plenty of tea and coffee
in our room plus if we wanted we could have fresh milk left in a fridge for us to help ourselves. The room was very clean and nicely decorated with good quality towels in the ensuite. The only negative we can think of was the ensuite shower room was very narrow but after we worked out the best way to use it, there wasn't a problem. Whoever designed it was very clever in what was used and where, you couldn't have come up with a better solution apart from maybe widening it by taking a bit more of the bedroom away. But I must say it didn't impede our stay in any way.
- Diane (10/5): Would definitely book again - I would certainly go back and stay here. Nikki made me feel very welcome, the location was perfect it was just a shame I was visiting for work rather than a break. The bed was very comfortable
- Doug (9/5): Lovely guest house. - Nikki looked after us very well, from cooked breakfast to homemade biscuit treats. Our room was clean, comfortable and reasonable size for an old town house - good to have a couple of chairs and a table as well as a bed to sit on. Very central, yet the street was quiet. The big plus was off street parking.
- Alan (8/5): Very good -
- Southsea (3/5): Poor standard room , with health and safety issues - The breakfast was good.
The location was excellent. Thete was no shower mat inside the shower, and had a nasty fall, resulting in a huge bump on my head and massive swelling and bruising to my thigh and leg. I tried to attach a photo of my leg , taken 3 days after the fall, but there was no facility to do this. I will happily do so if instructed how.
There were no runners on the drawers. They were very rickety and difficult to open and shut. The bedside cabinet door wouldn't shut at all. There was no comfortable seating, just 2 uncomfortable dining chairs. The bed was also uncomfortable. It made an awful noise, as if it was going to collapse, every time you sat or lay on it. We have never had a tv with so few channels, not even basic ones like Alibi and Drama.
- David (10/5): Sonesthrow - This dog friendly+. Very welcoming and helpful during our stay. Position was ideal. Our dog enjoyed every minute of her stay.
- Margaret (9/5): We loved our stay, and it would definitely be our first choice, if we visit Weymouth again. - Nikki was a brilliant host and her breakfasts was outstanding. My poached eggs were done to perfection and you could tell that she used first class produce. The little extra touches, the fresh milk in little flasks from the fridge and the homemade biscuits and cakes were a lovely bonus.
The location couldn't have been better for us, literally a 'stone's throw' away from the promenade and the shops. Our bathroom was compact, awkward to get into and the lighting wasn't very good. However, that said, I think that the access problem could be easily rectified with a furniture move.
- David (10/5): Brilliant B&B Central location and parking - Had a wonderful 2 nights stay, and the owners Pete & Nikki were great. The room was comfy and breakfast amazing with a lot of choices. We chose Stones Throw for its parking and location, and we were not disappointed. Central to everything and will definitely stay again when visiting Weymouth. Thank you for a lovely stay
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - We've just spent 3 nights at Stones throw. And we had such a fantast time, from arrival to leaving. We truly couldn't have found a more perfect place to stay The location is perfect with a 3 minute walk to the train station and a 5 minute walk to the town centre and a Stones throw from the beach like 1 minute ..
Nikki is just amazing and the perfect host we couldn't ask for more. She was always on hand from cooking a gorgeous breakfast to always making sure we had everything we needed no matter the time .
The accommodation was absolutely spotless in every way possible ,definitely attention to detail.
Ant to be honest the best nights sleep I've had in ages the bed was that comfortable with the best bedding available.
So overall I would give Stones throw 10/10 and we will definitely book with Nikki again with out a doubt..
Oh by the way she has the most amazing cakes and biscuits for the guests Honestly they are to die for
So thank you Nikki.. Can't find Nothing i didn't like . Our stay was perfect in every way possible..
- Tracey (10/5): Perfect - Location perfect for all areas of Weymouth
- Clare (10/5): Best guesthouse we’ve stayed in! - Absolutely lovely couple of days at Stones Throw. Room very comfortable, brilliant personal touches like homemade treats each day and the breakfast in bed option was a winner! Great location, nice and quiet but really close to the beach and town. Lovely host, very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We’ll definitely be back! Nothing we didn’t like!
- Smith (10/5): Nikki was lovely friendly helpful. We will be back ! We really couldn’t fault the place. And been able to park was a bon - The location was spot on . The room was lovely clean with everything you could need . Nice bathroom bath/shower . Plenty of sockets.Big towels. N/A
- Jean (10/5): - It was our second stay at Stones Throw we enjoyed seeing Nikki again. We had a lovely room very clean & the breakfast was excellent plus fresh milk & tasty cakes every day. Its also near to the shops, beach harbour & restaurants.
- Keeva (9/5): Excellence Accomodation with very frequently host - We were warmly welcomed by Pete the host and shown to our very warm, comfortable and well equipped room.
We had access to fresh milk and homemade millionaires shortbread which was a lovely surprise.
We slept well before enjoying a freshly cooked breakfast - we can really recommend this B&B. The location with onsite parking is also a excellent . Nothing
- Kevin (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (9/5): Superb - Location and onsite parking. Nikki was a very welcoming and attentive host. When we visit Weymouth again, Stones Throw will be our first choice.
- Pam (10/5): Treated like royalty! - Nikki is an exceptional host, her aim to make sure you are as comfortable and as 'at home' as you could be. I took my dog Frodo, and Nikki treated him like royalty. He immediately fell under her spell!
Our room was absolutely lovely. Perfectly warm with very comfy beds (for both of us) and Frodo had a whole jar of treats and I was spoilt too with homemade biscuits.
Breakfast was second to none, so delicious, beautifully cooked to order, well seasoned and just to say, the slow roasted tomatoes I had on the second day were knockout! I am awaiting an operation and can't walk far at the moment, but this is situated just a short walk from the beach which Frodo loves, so is also another reason to enjoy being here. Will be wanting to return. Nikki, you do an amazing job! Thank you I found nothing to criticise at all!
- Kevin (8/5): Good place for weekend stay - Great location near beach and shops . Good breakfast . Friendly host . Nice clean room . Parking included. Dog friendly Nothing really , it was all fine
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vivienne (10/5): What a find - The house was spotless throughout
The breakfast was amazing and the treat tray of homemade goodies was so thoughtful. Excellent idea of having fresh milk in the fridge
Bed was super comfy
Bathroom although small was so well designed, excellent shower and really thick luxurious towels -they smell beautiful
Great central location and parking too Nothing, just perfect
- B (10/5): Home from home - Loved it the moment i got in the door,i had that comfortable homely feeling, not all Ikea like most places, very interesting building, slept like a log, silent night's, breakfast beautiful, i had eggs benadict,so yellow yokes, the lady was lovely felt like my family, and my wee dogs had VIP treatment, and free parking just out the the front, private car park.Location was perfect, Stones throw away from everything. The towels thick fluffy, i had my own towel and did not want to upset the towel display. Lots of history to the building, and the one next door had an amazing tree of little birds. Thank you for your hospitality perfect hosts.Hope to come back.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - The operation of this guest house is slick in so many ways. The arrival, servicing of rooms, breakfasts and flexibility is a credit to Nikki. We had a ferry issues and she accommodated us for another night, which she then refunded when an alternative ferry arrangement was made. No complications whatsoever. Well done!
- Deborah (8/5): Very friendly host , great breakfast close to beach and parking , will book again . - Friendly and welcoming close to beach great attention to detail regarding our dietary needs xx Hubby found on suite a-little small as he is larger guy .
- Martin (9/5): Superb -
- Becky (10/5): Exceptional - Ideally situated close to beach and amenities
Nikki owner was so lovely and helpful and cooks an amazing breakfast and goes above and beyond to make you and your dog welcome
Would highly recommend

she is doing an excellent job as a guest house owner.

We took our dog Murphy with us & even his needs were well catered for with a towel to dry him off & a bandana to keep him cool. You were quite literally a stones from anywhere you needed to go in weymouth. You even had a pub 2 min walk away up the street. Would definitely consider going back. Would definitely recommend a stay at stones throw The only problem we had was that the bathroom sink was a little shallow & the shelf above was a little too close.

Our room was really cosy and well equipped. Our king sized bed was so comfortable and plenty of cupboard space too.
Breakfasts were cooked to perfection every day. Special little home made cakes and biscuits were there every day for us to enjoy, (which we did), a lovely gesture.
Nothing was too much trouble and Nikki always had a warm friendly smile each morning at breakfast time.
