- Helen (2/5): - We booked this B&B beginning of July for a stay last day of August confirmation number was given and payment made in advance. When we arrived at the check in time 4pm there was no one available. We contacted the owner who stated that he had no booking for us another couple who arrived at the same time had the same problem. The owner had a couldn’t care less attitude and with poor mobile connection we didn’t manage to find an alternative for several hours, very disappointed to say the least.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Reasonable stay for one night - House was clean and tidy, ample room for a couple in room #2. Bed was soft and comfortable for one night. Host was very friendly and welcoming, we unfortunately didn’t get chance to try the homemade breakfast as we had to check out early. Cons: host was not there to greet us upon arrival and so the neighbour/tenant had to check us in. Location can be hard to find. Look for the flag at the end of the road - gravel driveway.
- Gillian (2/5): - AVOID THIS PLACE, cleanliness is not good. The picture only shows the top half of the building that is because the bottom half is surrounded by cars, wood, junk etc. The place is down a dirt track road and not easy to find as sat nav not correct with its location and no one answered the phone when calling. It is like a poor working men's hostel and not a three star hotel. The room I was allocated was not one shown on the website and was awful, dingy and dirty with stains on the side of the base of the bed. The guy had no idea I was coming and I had to wait downstairs I guess whilst he tried to do something with the room. I refused to stay it was so bad and walked out. No phone reception and when I said to the guy I am not staying here he just said your choice and walked off and closed the door behind himself, no offer of repayment of my money paid.

- Steven (10/5): - Only a one night stay. arrived after the check in time and Guy was very understanding. He emailed me on the day to ask if we would like to have dinner. Breakfast smelled amazing the next day but unfortunately we did not have time to eat.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Perhaps I got unlucky but this was not quite what I was expecting. Hoping for a quiet room for an early start the following day this was far from it. I arrived around 7pm and got shown to my room by the builder(?). I didn't see Guy until the morning but I could hear the full effect of his hospitality into the evening as what sounded like a party took hold. Lots of hilarity, lots of running up and down the wooden stairs to the only bathroom, lots of shouting from upstairs to downstairs etc etc. All great fun if you want that, not so great for a restful stay. Caution, there's only 1 shared bathroom which seemed to be shared by 6(?) of us. Shower is handheld over the bath with no shower curtain. When I used the bathroom in the morning one of the guests had kicked off her boots the night before while sat on the loo and her bag/toiletries were left around. Came down to beer bottles and cigarettes lying around. I perhaps overstepped the mark by borrowing the kitchen sink to empty a flask - Guy wasn't too happy about me being in there, I suspect because he didn't want me to see the state of it. It was pretty grim. I'd say the whole place needed a thorough deep clean and tidy up. It would have been good to have a kettle in the room but the bed was comfy. So if you want a fully immersive b+b experience with a very jovial host and are not to fussed about the details then Guy will ensure you have a good time. Might be worth waiting for the building work in the kitchen to be finished.

- Zoe (10/5): Perfect cosy countryside stay - The Dunsfold B&B was absolutely perfect, a lovely cottage set away in the idyllic countryside. The doubled bedroom was a lovely size with everything that we needed, the en suite bathroom was also lovely and clean too. Guy, our host, was an absolute gem. He kept in contact regarding our arrival times and was extremely flexible with checking in etc. Guy was extremely friendly and the family dog is just gorgeous and so well behaved. The continental breakfast was delicious and plentiful, especially the home baked bread. The surrounding area is ideal for a countryside escape, with lots of places to walk and cosy country pubs. I would highly recommend staying at the Dunsfold B&B.

We would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend this B&B

In the morning, my wife got up early and set outside in the garden and was provided with a pot of tea and then we had breakfast with wonderful home baked bread. A perfect host and accommodation for a night away.

See photo of the ‘wardrobe’. No WiFi code left in room. No shower... really? At £60 a night????

- Ellen (10/5): Very nice B&B - On of the nicest places to stay if you like peace and quiet is here in Dunsfold. If you GPS tells you you are there you have to drive for 100 mtr and see a lovely, 400 year old, cottage with a wonderfull garden. You will be greeted by Guy your host, his son and the dogs. The rooms are clean, the beds are good and the breakfest is wonderfull with home baked bread by Guy. He now a lot about what to do in the surronding of Dunsfold and it is lovely to walk/hike there. We had a lovely time there and the best during our time in the UK.

For evening meal - The White Horse pub nearby -ask the host for directions. We stayed here because it was nearby to Dunsfold Airfield where I took part in The Top Gear Experience
- Verified traveler (10/5): Such a warm welcome. - Unfortunately I did not see the message from our host asking for a time of arrival so there was a mix up about times etc. However we we given a very warm welcome and our host was everything you could hope for. Our accommodation was excellent and nothing was to much trouble. We would highly recommend this place to stay.

- George (6/5): Could do better. - A lovely property in a quiet, secluded setting. Charming, very old house with low beams. Has real character. Nightinggales add a beautiful dimension. However, the property is poorly signed and difficult to find. Neighbours are clearly angered by being asked directions. When we finally found the property, the owner was absent. Another guest guessed our likely room. Guy, the owner, needs to take his role more seriously to make Dunsfold B&B successful.

Tv didn't work no signal Could of done with a lock on the door so I could of secured my things inside the room. But all in all cheap nice place I would stay there again.
- Rich and Bonnie (10/5): Character in spades! - We just spent one of the most memorable nights at Guy's fantastic cottage in the Surrey Hills. Although, a little earlier than expected, we were welcomed in with a nice cup of tea and shown to a very nice second story bedroom. (Mind your head on the beams!) After a supper out in nearby Godalming, we were going to retire for the night, but were lured into Guy's living room by the huge, ancient fireplace, and Wellington, the four-legged family member! We spent over an hour just chatting with Guy like old friends over wine and Scotch, before retiring to the most comfortable bed we'd slept in for a long time. In the morning, we woke to the smell of freshly baked bread and enjoyed a boiled egg courtesy of his neighbor, being forced to forego the full English breakfast due to time constraints. For those who like post and beam cottages, this one must rank up there with the best! From the kitchen with Arga, through the living room with Inglenook fireplace, to the uneven floors upstairs, this cottage has charm to spare. Unfortunately, we were only spending the one night there in the worst of English weather and were unable to get any decent photos. Fortunately, though, that same weather highlighted the qualities of the cottage, which seemed to wrap us up cozily in the warmth of old memories.

The English Breakfasts were outstanding and the evening meals were delicious. Guy is an excellent chef and generous host and keeps an excellent cellar.

The only issue I had was the bathroom had no shower, but that's not such a problem if you are there for a relaxing weekend in the countryside!

- Frank (6/5): Country peace and quiet - Wanted an overnight stay prior to visiting the nearby Top Gear test track. A bit tricky to find, but the directions we were given were spot on. Very quiet rural location but not far from Cranleigh. The room was clean, comfortable and overlooked the nearby farmland. Wifi was good and breakfast was generous. Our host, Guy was cheerful and helpful. Worth a longer stay if you want to get away from the madding crowd.

I was greeted with a glass of wine which after a long day of travel was most appreciated. The entire stay was so relaxing that I would recommend staying at Hurst Hill to anyone who appreciates a good bed in a clean room in a quaint 450 year-old home. Set in the rolling hills and adjacent to public pathways, I will definitely stay the next time I'm in the UK.
