Guest Reviews
- Angelika (10/5): Amazing place - An amazing place in beautiful surroundings. The hosts were welcoming and helpful, the room large and well appointed and breakfast ample with lots of choice. We couldn't have wished for more. Highly recommended.
- Jill (10/5): Lovely break - We stayed 2 nights in the Barn which was a lovely, clean, spacious room with beautiful views of the countryside. The cooked breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The village was only a 5-10 minute walk where there was 2 pubs and a shop.
- Richard (10/5): Long weekend at Cappel Bank Farm - Warm welcome, large comfortable room, great breakfast, beautiful views . Thanks for a fab weekend.

- Leong (10/5): Fantastic host and room - Awesome. Everything was perfect for a village holiday. The owner were extremely friendly and helpful. The warm welcome was very pleasant. The dogs, horses, hens, garden, view are wonderful. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The excellent breakfast gave us a good start of the day. I will strongly recommend my relatives and friends to stay in Capple Farm when they visit UK.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic - Capple Bank Farm is wonderful. The scenery is beautiful, the hosts are so friendly, clean rooms and a breakfast to beat all breakfasts.
- Victoria (10/5): Comfortable accommodation and hearty breakfast - Very comfortable room in beautiful countryside.Excellent breakfast served in convivial surroundings. Short walk to restaurant which was good for dinner but many within short drive. Would recommend this accommodation.
- Alex (10/5): Lovely B&B in the most beautiful surroundings. - We were warmly greeted by the Smithers with tea and cake, most welcome after a long drive. Our room was the converted barn - it has an enormous, comfy bed, amazing views and a nice bathroom.
Breakfast was a good mix of fresh fruit, toast, lots of homemade jams and a cooked breakfast (if you wanted).
The B&B is ideally situated for exploring the Dales. It's just off the B684 (use a map, not satnav to find it).
- Shelli (10/5): Fab stay in a great location lovely friendly staff - Loved it! great breakfast, very hospitable pleasant host and hostess
- Alan (10/5): - Capple Bank was warm and friendly with an excellent breakfast also when i arrived a pot of tea with cake was provided in the lounge. Overall a very nice stay.Alan J.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wensleydale break - Very welcoming proprietors - fantastic location and views. Extremely comfortable with lots of little extras.
Good food
- craig & sarah (10/5): Highly recommend 5* b&b in our opinion. - Excellent stay in a gorgeous room with a lovely en-suite. The staff were very welcoming and very happy to accommodate in anyway possible. Breakfast was very nice with a good variety.
Approx 8min walk to local pub with a quiz night on fridays and pub food served from 6pm-9pm.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, highly rated.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful accommodation in a wonderful location - Capple Bank Farm is in a lovely setting surrounded by rolling countryside and the owners own immaculate gardens.
We received a very friendly welcome from the owners with tea and cake in the drawing room on arrival.
We stayed in the barn which was a beautifully renovated room with modern facilities and was spotlessly clean.
We ate at two local restaurants in the evenings, The Wensleydale Heifer, which was within walking distance, and The Forester's Arms which was a 5 minute drive away. The food was fantastic in both places as was the service and the very friendly staff.
We stayed B&B at the farm and the breakfasts prepared for us both mornings were delicious.
I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here and will look forward to returning at a future date.
- Elaine (10/5): Fantastic, no matter what the weather might say! - Excellent weekend, given great recommendations for activities to do considering the weather.
- Zaman Butt (10/5): Great for Leisure not so great for business user - First of all don't follow Sat Nav to arrive, it will take you far away. If you have to follow, follow The Old Vicarage, Main St, West Witton, Leyburn, Yorkshire DL8 4LX and take next left. Breakfast was good, even was given tea in the evenings. The owner was very helpful. She even wrote down and explained me how to get to the site where I had to go on day 1. Views around are just awesome. Overall very relaxed stay. Only things that I find a bit negative was, no wifi in the rooms but I've been told that its due the weaker service available in the area and closest eating area was around 4 miles away in Leyburn.
