- IAN (8/5): - Family hotel, very older style hotel No lift, room's on three floor's
- Ian (9/5): - Very comfortable beds.very nice staff. Carpet in the bathroom.
- Sayers (9/5): Very welcoming hosts made my stay on my own really enjoyable - Breakfast was lovely.
Single Room was adequate. Need underlay on the stair case to reduce the noise when going up and down to the room.
Shower grout and silicone could do with renewing as black in parts.
- roger (8/5): Overall fine would stay again, good value - Breakfast was fine, no fruit however.
But for the price it was fine. Nothing really
- Debbie (8/5): -
- Reinhard Gottschling (9/5): -
- Billy (9/5): Overnight stay May 2026. - I have stayed several times before so knew the hotel well already, clean and comfortable room, friendly helpful staff, ideal location close to centre of Nairn but quite enough also. Found the ceiling light a bit too bright.
- ENZO (10/5): - Wonderful staying. Amazing staff. Good food.
Family atmosphere.

- Sean (10/5): Excellent value! - The owners were very welcoming, allowing me to check in early as I arrived ahead of schedule.
The room was very clean and comfortable.
Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, as was breakfast the following morning - the coffee was especially good!
Overall, the hotel provides comfortable accommodation and excellent food at a very affordable price; the friendly hospitality is an added bonus.
I have no hesitation about recommending The Aurora Hotel.

- Tommy (10/5): -

- Dot (10/5): - This is my favourite place to stay when I'm in Inverness on a shopping trip.I always come here, it's just a 15 minute drive . I love the old world charm, the rooms are comfortable and clean, (the bath towels are thick and luxurious )the food is amazing and the hosts are wonderful, so warm and welcoming. It is in a great location, just a
5 minute walk to the beach. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
- Grant (9/5): Top class - Hospitality excellent. The staff were very friendly, flexible and helpful with anything and everything. Great central location for walking in and around Nairn and the surrounding areas.
- Alison (10/5): Great. Will go back - Good choice at breakfast
Central location
- Michael (8/5): A step back in time in a good (mostly) way. - Funky old school boarding house vibe with a great breakfast. The street noise for rooms on the main road was very aggressive but fine after about 1:00am
- Maria (10/5): Una bellissima scoperta - Accoglienza e attenzione verso gli ospiti. Colazione abbondante e curata. Tutto perfetto per me.

- Anne (8/5): Would definitely use again . - Well situated, very clean and comfortable. The owners were lovely and very welcoming. Parking was very tight .
- Stew (8/5): - We had a lovely stay at Aurora, check in was seem less, the lady that greeted us is the owner along with her husband, very nice, hardworking couple. The building is a bit older, parking in the lot is tricky but on the street no problem. The food at the restaurant was excellent.
- Suzanne (10/5): - Very nice place and hosts! The restaurant was lovely I left a book there but that's my fault...
- Audrey (10/5): - Logement très confortable. Très bon restaurant italien.
- effie (10/5): - Lovely couple made you feel at home room was spacious breakfast was nice
- NigelRC (10/5): Excellent hospitality and food. - Great hospitality and food was exceptional. Car park was very small and it's entrance was awkward. However there was plenty of parking in the street.
- JAMES (8/5): Nice place for the night - Great little place. Italian dinner in the evening, delicious breakfast in the am. Good value for the money. I couldn’t figure out how to set the proper temp for the shower but I think that was on me. Convenient location to downtown and the beach. Would happily stay here again
- ALISON (7/5): - Very small car park with narrow opening to get in
- Alexander (10/5): -
- Trevor (9/5): - Very Friendly Staff and Owners, very accommodating
- Patricia (8/5): Perfect - everything was lovely.
- PAPIA (8/5): - Colazione abbondante, anche all'inglese. Il proprietario accogliente, cordiale e gentile.
- Janet (9/5): - Very friendly, breakfast was good
- Sylvie (10/5): - Very friendly owners so emjoyed our stay
- Drazen P. (8/5): -
- SlawitSheeta (3/5): Dirty and disgusting. - The room was okay. Nearly clean. Nice mattress. Everything else.
We parked in the car park, which was a gravel mess. Unkempt, weeds.
The back of the building was dirty and unloved.
Paint worn away from woodwork over many years.
A rundown abandoned property came to mind.
Entering the building, we were hit by the smell.
The accumulation of years of dirt and feet on the carpet made all the communal areas stink. I am not exaggerating!
The wallpaper and paintwork were ancient and unsightly.
The front of house lady (owner?), was miserable when we arrived and at breakfast.
The bexroom was okay.
For breakfast we went in to the restaurant, the conservatory.
The full breakfast was 3 fried eggs, hard fried, 1 deep fried tasteless sausage, 2 nice strips of bacon, watery baked beans and warm bread that was allegedly toasted.
The conservatory was dirty. Very. The floor was dirty chipboard and the roof seemed to be held in place by expanding foam.
In the hallway was a framed newspaper article from 2006 proclaiming how wonderful the place was...get this one printed and on the wall.
I kept expecting to hear the voice of Cordon Ramsey shouting and swearing at the owners and then his team rushing in to gut the place and start again. Unfortunately not.
The owners/chef clearly have no interest or passion for this place and should retire asap and stop inflicting this place on the public.
- Frank (10/5): Nairn’s hidden gem - The English Breakfast served daily during my three day stay was prepared perfectly. The room was clean and quiet for sleeping after a long flight. The staff was super friendly upon arrival and check-in was seamless. I would recommend others to stay at this hidden gem in Nairn.
- Mcmaster (10/5): A real gem - 4 night stay great hosts , comfortable clean room, very tasty breakfast , hotel is also an Italian restaurant, very popular with locals , great location, a real gem
- APRowland (10/5): Absolute gem of a hotel - Incredibly nice lady that dealt with me during my stay (sorry, I didn’t get your name). Very polite and warm welcome, made me feel completely at ease. The room was clean, everything you'd expect was there and clean. Breakfast was served and again, same lady was incredibly polite and offered me breakfast and a hot drink, but I just had juice. The breakfast itself was perfect and then check out was easy. Would much rather find these gems of small local businesses and be made to feel like I mean something to them than go to a large chain of hotels and be made to feel like a number. Fantastic stay, thank you. You could say it's slightly dated decor wise, but it's the hospitality that counts for me so it wasn't a problem
- garry nairn (10/5): Excellent hotel in great location - Handy location in the centre of Nairn, room was very clean well appointed and comfy , food was very high quality at very reasonable prices with big portions provided , the staff and hosts were very friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived , I would recommend the Aurora highly for anyone looking to stay in Nairn Nothing
- Nora (8/5): Kommen gern wieder.
- Karen (10/5): Fabulous - Fabulous hotel. We were made to feel very welcome from arriving until we left. The room was big and very clean and the bathroom had a great shower and was light and airy. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. There was a lot of attention to detail in the hotel. The breakfast was hot well cooked and good quality,
We ate in the Italian restaurant downstairs in the evening and the food and service was fantastic. The portion size of all the food was very generous. I would definitely return to this hotel and restaurant. Nothing
- Ian (9/5): -
- Rebecca (10/5): - Excellent Italian food too.
- Alessandro (9/5): - Cena piatti abbondanti e di qualità, colazione abbondante, camera confortevole.
- Mimi (10/5): - The town of Nairn is lovely, we were able to walk around in the evenings and enjoyed a walk along the beach. The hotel staff was great, lovely family atmosphere. We had the large room which was very comfortable for a family of 4. We also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant which was excellent.
- Augusto (9/5): Esperienza centrale con ottima accoglienza - Tutto
Accoglienza
Cucina dinner e breakfast
Posizione
Staff famigliare Nulla
- David (9/5): The food was fantastic - Evening meal and cooked breakfast were both first class and very enjoyable. The staff were all excellent at their jobs and very well mannered. All the staff were very attentive and they also had a first class knowledge of the area. Given the chance I will return. As I am slightly disabled, my next visit I would request a lower floor as I struggled a wee bit with the stairs.
- Gill (8/5): - Very clean spacious room. Lovely thick towels. Good breakfast. Nothing
- Helen (6/5): Staff were very friendly and attentive. Great breakfast included - Location was good for a one night stay in Nairn
Able to accommodate part my of 4 last minute and in one room A little older than expected
- Brendan (10/5): The Aurora Hotel and Italian Restaurant is a great place to stay with great food & comfortable rooms - The hosts were welcoming and accommodating, particularly regarding flexibility to meet our needs for both dinner and breakfast. The dinner was excellent and the breakfast fulfilling. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable and the hotel was conveniently located.
- Bodo Bernd (10/5): Sehr empfehlenswert! - Sehr sauber! Sehr freundlich! Sehr gutes Frühstück!
- Caroline (9/5): -
- xavier (9/5): - Les habitacions amples. Amabilitat i professionalitat del personal. Bon menjar italià al seubrestaurant
- mandy (10/5): -
- Carol (9/5): -
- Josef (8/5): Příjemné ubytování. Poměr cena/výkon perfektní. - Příjemné. U silnice, trochu ruch.
- Lorraine (9/5): - Very kind, helpful staff
- Ping Kin (8/5): -
- Ivan (8/5): I would stay there again - Friendly staff and great breakfast. The noise from the seagulls, the room was very cramped for a tall man and the parking was very tight
- Graham (8/5): Very comfortable - Very friendly hosts and good restaurant Slightly dated room with small tv but good value for the money
- michael (8/5): Excellent value - The owners were exceptionally friendly.
The room was big and airy with comfortable bed and excellent bathroom/shower.
Breakfast was very good with a good choice.
Overall very good value for money!
The only downside was our room was quite noisy as it overlooked the main road.
Would certainly stay again(with a different room!)
- Gordon (3/5): Forgettable - Location No hot water in shower, hotel very, very tired looking,
- Stephanie (10/5): Excellent stay - Clean and comfortable room, in the middle of Nairn and close to everything. Everyone was very nice, friendly and helpful.
- Catherine (8/5): -
- Rene (9/5): -
- Steve (9/5): Great value and meals in Nairn - The room at the Aurora was perfectly fine and in line with what I expected for the price. It's not a high end hotel, but it isn't priced that way either. If you are looking for a clean room, at great value, with really friendly people greeting you, this is a good choice in Nairn. Plus, the restaurant is very good - I ate there two nights and really enjoyed the Italian meal each time. Parking was a bit of a challenge as the car park for the hotel is small and somewhat awkward to get into. I ended up parking on the street next to the hotel and that was fine.
