Guest Reviews
- Belinda (8/5): Good value comfortable apartment - Spacious , well equipped, good location The check in process. I was travelling by taxi and had to present to jernhngham to check in then walk 1.5km with my suitcase to tynte st. Would’ve been better to have a phone check in option or key box option which looked like it may have been available but was not offered
- Susan (9/5): -
- Taegan (2/5): -
- ian (5/5): Ok except parking and stairs - Ok Car park was unavailable due to closed and off street parking is nearly impossible during day
- Kathleen (8/5): - Location was brilliant
- Raymond (9/5): -
- Meredith (7/5): - Comfortable simple hotel in great location.
- Catherine (8/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): Great conevient and comfortable - Location, amenities Noisy people coming in late not the places thought
- Lesley (9/5): I like staying there because it’s closer to other venues - It is cosy I wish there were lifts for people who have injuries
- Amy (10/5): I really enjoyed our stay - Clean, tidy, close to oval city
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Anne Marie (7/5): Convenient - Great location and room Had to check in at another address first
- Wendy (9/5): Very good experience apart from lack of parking. - The apartment itself was excellent. The parking which we had booked was not available.
- Angela (8/5): -
- Barry (7/5): Our 4 night stay was comfortable and convenient, close to cafes, restaurants and shopping, including excellent 24/7 - Location was very good. Bed super comfortable. Quite noisy but unavoidable as it is under flight path. Very dark in the apartment as lighting wasn’t good. Note there is no elevator to 1st and 2nd floors.
- Gabrielle (7/5): -
- Shane (8/5): -
- Debra (5/5): Not always on point - Location great. Room at rear where tradies commenced work very early. Issues with TV, phones for assistance but staff member Cody or Cory not interested, not his hotel worked at another one and not able to help as ph line for other area not working.
Have stayed before but disappointed this time.
- Dot (5/5): Our stay in Adelaide was very enjoyable as we met with Family we hadn't seen for a few years. - The look of the place. The position of our apartment. The lovely look of comfort when we walked into apartment. The layout & facilities that were in the apartment. It was very good for the price. The bed was very comfortable & would have been perfect if we weren't so cold. The heater didn't work, & it was cold at night with no electric blanket to warm the bed, so was hard to get to sleep. The TV didn't show picture on Ch.7. The phone didn't work so had to use my mobile to report these issues & couldn't dial 9 to let them know that we were vacating the premises at 6-45AM. Hope they don't charge us for late checkout, as our flight was at 8-55AM.
- JOANNE (5/5): - Great location although quite a hike from the main reception ie 1.5km The hot water was not working when we returned to our room at 10pm on Saturday and the reception were not only unhelpful but also not understanding that a lack of hot water is not good enough.
- Keijo (3/5): -
- Ben (9/5): - The location was ideal, great for Adelaide Oval and O'connel Street The cost - but was gather round
- Brendan (8/5): -
- Lynda (5/5): - The location was fantastic.
Close to public transport and everything else we needed.
Our bed was very comfortable. Hot water was hit and miss in the shower and kitchen.
I booked this apartment because the ad showed a wall between the living room and bedroom.
- both beds were in the same room, it was more like a bed-sit than an apartment.
The cooking facilities weren't what I was expecting.
-the kitchen didn't allow for cooking a proper meal. I was expecting more than two hotplates, one frypan and one saucepan.
- Haven (4/5): Room attendants were very good and helpful, so the flogging’s from the manager must be working. - Location was great, close by stores and restaurants were very nice. Check in was rather rude. Manager must have learned all her skills from watching Trump on The Apprentice. Parking was a pain but ended up being free, with all the Footy going on at the Oval we had to park blocks away.
- Toni (5/5): Nice apartment but facilities poor and customer services poor - Location and cleanliness Had no hot water and got locked out of bathroom as it opened from inside only rang reception and was told it’s a Sunday they called maintenance but don’t know when it can be fixed meanwhile we could not shower or go to the toilet was told would ring me back on a few minutes
Never got back to us
- Alice (8/5): - Location and quietness Bit dirty
- Bill (8/5): Comfortable and a great location - Location and comfort.
- Sunita (7/5): -
- Alana (9/5): - Checking in at a different property
- Dinnah (9/5): The stay at Tynte Apartment was comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable. - It was near the city Clean and tidy and near the city
- Liesl (9/5): Amazing stay just tricky having to collect the key from a different location. But thankfully they allowed us to arrange - Great location , comfortable accommodation All good
- Nicole (7/5): - Great location for what we needed Car parking wasn’t secured.
Channel 7 could be heard but not seen and the staff weren’t helpful about it
- Sue (10/5): Relaxing stay - Location was great with parking I think our bathroom was very small and the room was dark.
TV out of date
- Andrew (8/5): - there is plenty of free 24h on-street car parking if you are willing to walk 500m; some 3hr parking nearby but often full
- Michelle (8/5): - Very comfy bed. Love the proximity to great restaurants, bars, chemists, gyms etc The curtains could definitely do with a clean and a desk light would be great for those of us who need to work while we are away.
- Terrie (5/5): Check in was terrible and not as requested or advertised. Map to locate c/park would have been handy - had no idea how to get to the car park. A map would have been handy. I requested early check in (as advertised) as husband was coming off of night shift and needed to sleep. Rang at 12:15pm on day of check in as I got in to Adelaide to confirm if room was ready. Was told it was not. I told her that I requested early check in as advertised. Was told early check in isn’t until 12pm. I said its 12:15pm. Was told it wasn’t ready and that she would call me when room was ready. I never got a call.
- Amber. (8/5): -
- Sharon (10/5): Great location. Love O’Connell street - Location was superb. Easy to come and go Check in at different locale a bit of a pain. Long time to check in.
- Maree (6/5): Great location, comfortable and clean, although being under the flight path was not great. - The location was good - close to local restaurants, cinema and shops, and easy to get into Adelaide city. Picking up keys from another location, which apart from what they tried to imply, was not close - particularly if you were walking. It is also directly under the incoming flight path.
- Jennifer (8/5): -
- Christine (10/5): -
- Joseph (9/5): -
- Pal4747 (6/5): Would definitely stay again and recommend it to others if things were fixed. - Good Location Nice room, good amenities, staff were great. TV need upgrade, no cable TV, phone didn't work, kitchen tap diffuser was loose, bathroom showerhead was loose.
Needs some maintenance.
- Susan (9/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): -
- Michael (8/5): -
- Sharnie (7/5): - Location , comfortable and clean , washing machine dryer a bonus TV needs updating and shower screen looked a bit grotty
- Charles (1/5): Avoid this place. Can’t trust them - Room we received was fine but have us the wrong room. Refused to then move us or issue refund. Gave us the wrong room a studio versus a two bedroom apartment. Staff were dismissive about this and provided next to no support. Felt like this was deliberate ploy rather than a mistake. Eventually tried to offer us a voucher.
- Richard (8/5): - Off street parking Reception distant
- Angela (9/5): -
- Moira (5/5): It was adequate for our one night stay - The location Having to collect keys from another venue, then navigate to the parking
- Neil (8/5): A decent place to stay for work. - Good location in North Adelaide close to grocery and lots of food. Parking on site. Decent washing machine and dryer. Excellent cleaner and room refresh each week. Hot water took forever to arrive at taps (lots of air mixed at the taps). It was fine in the shower. Lighting was very dim. I eventually took out part of shades and put in bigger bulbs.
- Tom (8/5): Great location -
- Dave (8/5): - Absolutely fantastic except for the confusion about check-in and where to be
- Anita (10/5): -
- Kerri (6/5): It was no as comfortable a stay as we are used to on Magestic’s other properties. - It was a very convenient location and well- designed The maintenance on the property and the cleanliness was below Majestic’s usual standard.
- Amanda (8/5): Good location, lots of good multicultural restaurants in the area and could walk to lots of sights. - Reception was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was good. Cleaning staff very friendly and efficient....room was lovely and clean and roomy.
Location was great. Locked secure carpark gate did not work. We were there 7 nights and it wasn't working the whole time.
- caroline (9/5): -
- Martin (9/5): Zeer prettig & fijn en voor herhaling vatbaar - Mooie rustige ligging, compleet, schoon & fijn. Gezellige straat met cafeetjes etc. om de hoek.
- Michael Slagter (8/5): -
- Diana (9/5): Had a great stay and would definitely recommend and revisit - Loved the location, plenty of eateries and in walking distance to city centre. The apartment had washing machine and dryer which was great. The only thing that I can think of would be the stairs . We were on the second floor which was ok for us but would be a problem for guests with mobility issues.

- Melina (8/5): A slightly bumpy beginning gave way to a calm, comfortable, and very well-located stay. - The apartment itself was excellent — clean, comfortable, and well-located. Once settled, the space felt calm and supportive, and I appreciated the overall quality of the accommodation. I also acknowledge that the team did make an effort to resolve the bond issue by contacting a manager, which I appreciated. At check-in, the process around the bond was unclear and became stressful when the amount increased and cash was not accepted. Initially, there did not appear to be a clear pathway for staff to escalate or seek support from a manager, which added to the uncertainty. While this was later resolved with assistance from another staff member, the overall interaction felt somewhat impersonal and lacking in warmth.
Overall, the stay was positive once these issues were addressed, and I hope this feedback is helpful in refining the guest experience, particularly around check-in support and communication.
Kind regards,
Melina

- Anthony (8/5): -
- Patricia (9/5): - The room was adequate for our needs as it was a place for my husband to stay whilst I was in hospital. Improvement in lighting would benefit as the room was very dark even with all the lights on.
- Alice (10/5): -
- David (8/5): -
- Tumes (1/5): -
- Bryan (9/5): -
- Dianne (10/5): A very convenient location and we were very comfortable despite the heatwave. - Great location, comfortable and had everything we needed.
- Noel (8/5): Good choice for a short stay in Adelaide - Position
Parking
- Ashlea (10/5): - The location was fabulous. Good secure parking and nice big rooms. Also very close to the best 24hr bakery I have ever been to. The airplane noise but that can't be helped as everywhere is under the flight path 😂
- Leanne (9/5): - Clean, good location The TV wasn’t working on channel 7
- Linda (10/5): - Could not fault anything
Will definitely stay again
- Michele (8/5): Brilliant location as O’Connrll st around corner & many wialyeatery options - Location and value for money .
Appreciated secure parking. Limited storage for clothing. No shelves or hooks in bathroom . Freezer did not work in fridge. Do not agree with policy of only cleaning room after 7 days . This seems a little unhygienic particularly with ablution area. I would have liked a change of towels / bathmat prior to 7 days.
- Thomas (8/5): -
- Robyn (9/5): GREAT LITTLE APARTMENT STAY IN NORTH ADELAIDE - Loved location, walkable to Adelaide Oval, free circle bus stops in Tynte Street make visiting central city and attractions easy. Restaurants, cafes and supermarket in walking distance.
- Administrator (8/5): -
- Karen (3/5): Really disappointed - Location was close for our appointment Not enough hot water for three people to shower, flip out bed was jammed and took some effort to open , mattress was made but was upside down, springs sticking in , Airconditoner wouldn’t heat , the flip out bed had no quilts or blankets , found one very old snd thin blanket in cupboard , not enough to keep warm , disabled parking was the furthest from the door , how can the disabled walk with luggage that far ,can I suggest you move it as the able bodied parking was almost on the door step , this is where the disabled should be , still haven’t received my deposit back after 6 days
- Marika (8/5): Clean and tidy, perfect location. - The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Location was great and not too noisy for a city location. Check-in was quick and easy, even if off site. Walking distance to many restaurants and centrally located for accessing North Adelaide and surrounds. The room was immaculate, however it had a lingering smell of curry which wasn't the nicest of smells to be greeted with. Check-in was not on site; maybe the option of digital code key pads or lock boxes might be a more convenient way to check in. Parking is not included in the booking as I thought; it is an additional payment upon request.
- Marc (9/5): very easy to get in and out, service from staff was great - location, service nothing
- Jenna (8/5): -
- Ricky (8/5): - Great location, very clean and tidy
- Jacinta (7/5): -
- Rada (7/5): great for work and location was great, would stay again - Parking and location was good, Bed was ok, I liked having a kitchen as well, not that I used it much but it was good to know for our next trip that there is a kitchen. Pillows weren't to my liking and I didn't like the shower curtain, I had to get extra towels from the hallway as the floor was just so wet you couldn't walk in without getting your feet wet
- Alex (8/5): -
- Bob (10/5): Clean an roomy in the heart of North Adelaide. - Neat, clean and central to North Adelaide. Staff were helpful. Parking is too expensive.
- kaye (10/5): - Loved the location and the accomodation was spacious and comfortable for a family with a teenager and 2 adults.
It had secure parking available which was a plus if you wanted to use it.
North Adelaide location was walking distance to great restaurants and parks, and beautiful, quiet streets. This wasn't a draw back for us, (in fact I liked the building), but we were up 4 short flights of stairs, and I wouldn't recommend for someone with accessibility needs.
- Chantal (5/5): - Quiet & large rooms. Lots of amenities That parking cost was an extra charge.
It was complicated picking up my key after reception hours & was told I needed to drop back my key to the other hotel due to my early departure..
- Stuart (5/5): Average. - Location. Misleading parking aspect on website. Paying for secure parking which was not secure.
Cheap appliances, ie TV and remote. Channels on TV not showing.
- Romao (9/5): -
- Alamgir (10/5): Good service. - Quietness I was charged with an additional car parking fee. If I wouldn't checked my credit card, I wouldn't receive refund. Anyway it was sorted out after I called the receptionist.
- Audrey890 (2/5): “Overall, our stay was disappointing due to poor servicing and security concerns. - We stayed for four nights and unfortunately had a very frustrating experience. Our room was never serviced once during the entire stay, which meant we had to keep calling reception just to get basic essentials like fresh towels, toilet paper, and other consumables. Each time we called, reception assured us the room should have been serviced and that they would log the issue, but the same thing happened again the next day. On some occasions, it took multiple follow‑up calls because staff said they would bring towels and then simply didn’t.
The apartment itself had a strong, unpleasant smell as soon as you walked in, which didn’t improve over the stay.
Another major concern was security. The automatic gate to the “secure” carpark was constantly open, meaning anyone could walk in and access the apartment building. It didn’t feel secure at all.
Finally, the location is directly under the flight path, so be prepared for regular aircraft noise, especially early in the morning.
Overall, the lack of servicing, poor communication, security issues, and general upkeep made this stay quite disappointing. I hope management takes these concerns seriously for future guests. - Ashik (10/5): A good location and nice place to stay and would love to stay again. I recommend visitors highly. - The location was good as there were nearby cafes also had good lighting and air flow in the room. I would still prefer if Majestic Tynte Street Apartment doesn't charge for the parking as this is bit unusual with other facilities that we have rented in the past. Overall, I like the stay and will not hesitate to reconsider again when travel to Adelaide. If there were no parking charges as this seemed bit odd to me.
