Guest Reviews
- Jeremy (9/5): Great nights sleep and great communication from hosts - Lovely property with lovely views All was good
- Sylvia (3/5): Only big enough for 1 for 1 night max. - It was clean and in a good location. If you’re not fussy about your room, then it’s good value So small. No room for bags or clothes, let alone 2 adults. Noisy toilet and fridge mean that if you’re a light sleeper, you won’t sleep.
- Sharron (10/5): Most beautiful cosy home in surreal surroundings - Idyllic beautiful cosy perfect place to stay with log fire. Everything was thought of. Lovely breakfast albeit continental style. Surreal surroundings. We enjoyed this place so much and we will be back soon. Thankyou so very much ❤️ Quick note..no taxis or buses up the mountain. We had to hitch but we enjoyed it :-) Lack of transport up the mountain to the facilities. We were lucky and hitched a lift up. Absolutely worth it tho
- Luis (10/5): Beautiful - The ensuite was simply beautiful. I had to give it a good review. Booked on a week day, thus the price was excellent too. Honestly, we were pretty impressed about this one. The place and it's location match so well. I'd love to come back That we only stayed one night, should have been more.
- Sarah (9/5): Fantastic location, lovely room. - Fantastic locayion. Lovely room, slightly on the small side - garden room, but still manageable. Very clean. Breakfast available - small pan au chocolate/juice/cereal box available in the room. Recently decorated. Room on the small side.
- Brookes (9/5): -
- Gillian (10/5): Everything I needed was catered for. A little piece of heaven. - It felt like a warm blanket wrapped around me and my dog Ted. I didn’t want to leave. Nothing
- Tim (10/5): - Great location, easy parking, amazing view, plenty of space, clean, comfortable, great value. Could walk to South Stack lighthouse straight from the property
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional cosy stay - The Garden Appartement offers a real cosy home with all whats needed for a pleasant stay. The outlook from the windows into the garden is wonderfull and even the coast can be seen. All clean and warm. Nothing, except the use of room parfume dispenser which I am not a big fan of.
- Kerry-Anne (8/5): Overall great break for a large party, enough space and hot tub worth it. - The decor, space, location and hot tub were great. We had an issue with 2 of the showers, one really hot not able to add cold, the other had to use a loose part of the handle to turn, with so many people was just hard trying to all get ready with 1 less shower and one hard to work. Also the heating came on a little later than expected as from 4 it was cooler in the house with no option to turn heating on.
- Nicole (10/5): -
- Louise (10/5): Garden room getaway - The room was just what we needed for our short break. Warm, comfortable and close to the locales we were visiting.
Shower was hot and reliable, bed was so comfortable and toasty warm.
Loved the terrace area, so nice to sit out and watch the birds in the tree opposite.
Refreshments were just what we needed and really appreciated the stocked fridge when we got there late!
Thanks for a great stay. Our stay was only a couple of days
- Byron Machin (4/5): - The room was in general clean. The views were stunning. The bed was comfy. It’s just 10 mins walk to South Stack. Nice patio attached. Lots of parking. Absolutely tiny. No room to store anything. Several of the walls covered in damp. Bathroom very small. Here’s the massive issue (pictured) - On here the owners listed the property as “BREAKFAST INCLUDED”. It’s the reason we booked, and it is most definitely NOT! In a tiny fridge, for each of our three mornings, we found pre packed - a nasty cheap pastry, a cereal bar & one orange water. This is not a breakfast! It’s not even a continental breakfast. We were very upset & would not have booked if they had been accurate with their listing. Would never go back. The room was not serviced once during our stay and we had to message the owner to get fresh towels.
- Joseph (10/5): - Fantastic place and location. Very clean and comfy place.
- kris (10/5): - Location and rooms very nice
- Samantha (10/5): - Beautiful, remote location with amazing views. The room was spotless and enough for a couple of nights. The fridge had a few essentials.
- John (8/5): - Fantastic views, great location and well presented The room was smaller than expected and as such i considered it to be expensive. The mattress was too soft in my opinion
- Stephen (10/5): -
- joanne (8/5): - Amazing location, good parking, incredible views. we stayed in the garden sweet and cosy , very comfy bed. perfect for one person . there is no storage for things so wouldn't suit a longer stay
- Matthew (7/5): Pleasant stay - It was a nice location. We stayed in the garden room which was pleasant. Food in the fridge for your arrival. Washing up facilities in the bathroom. Really well, thought out accommodation. If the sun was out and you could sit in the garden area i would highly recommend staying here The bed was a little uncomfortable and the toilet cistern making a noise 24 hrs a day was a negative
- Chris (9/5): Very relaxing. Just what we needed - Lovely quiet location. Very clean and well equipped. Nothing. Perhaps though the position of the kettle being almost directly under the wall mounted tv isn’t ideal!
- Anne (7/5): -
- Vincent (8/5): -
- Ayse (10/5): -
- Moody Moo Ltd - Melanie (10/5): -
- Shand (10/5): - Everything. Home from home and more My stay wasn't long enough 😒
- David (8/5): -
- Truswell (10/5): Great couple of nights, lovely property. Great base for trips out. - Nice continental type breakfast.
Lovely appartment
Fantastic views
Dog friendly with walking field Nothing
- Jemitus (10/5): Most Beautiful place of Wales - The view and peace and quiet Nothing
- Richard (9/5): - absolutely lovely
- Smith (10/5): -
- Paul (8/5): - More choice
( not everyone likes cornflakes )
Fruit ,yogurt would be good Local information- things to do
(There was information on restaurants)
- Andrew (10/5): Would stay again. - Really enjoyed our stay. Property was in excellent condition, everything we needed was there and we enjoyed the open fire.
- Desiree (7/5): -
- Stott (10/5): -
- Andrew (9/5): Excellent but could be even better - Great location and very spacious No table to eat at and no trays to eat off lap on sofa
- Emma (10/5): Perfect but foggy - We were text with our code the night before There was no checking out instructions
- Patrick (10/5): -
- Olivia (9/5): Amazing place to come and stay - Fantastic location, absolutely dreamy. Pics attached are literally a few mins' walk from your bedroom. Gorgeous cute countryside retreat. ✨ Ventilators and fans and dehumidifiers coming on in the night and making a noise.
- Louise (10/5): - Value for money. Dog field
- Anthony (10/5): - Lovely location, very clean and comfortable.
- Hazel (8/5): - Beautiful location and very comfortable bed. Decorations were very attractive.Good communication from the owner. Must be wonderful in the summer for walking. The room is very small and we missed having a table and chair. However the shower was good and breakfast was fine.Suited us well for one night on wayhome from ferry.
- Arthur (8/5): - Location was great. Beautiful views. Great restaurant recommendations. Lacked storage space but understandable with the size of the room.
- lynn (10/5): - We stayed in the garden apartment which was cozy and comfortable, stylishly furnished with good quality bedding, very well equipped and clean. There was even a decorated christmas tree, which was a lovely, thoughtful touch.
The location was stunning and only a short drive from Holyhead and Treaddur bay.
I cannot fault this accommodation and would love to return. No complaints at all
- Katia (10/5): Wonderful place - Everything was perfect and to be honest we were very sorry when we left. Everything was perfect
- max marutti (10/5): -
- Steven (10/5): Amazing cosy little property, log fire was an unexpected bonus, would definitely recommend. - Fantastic cosy little property, in a fantastic location. The log fire was an unexpected bonus. Kitchen had everything you could need. I would definitely stay at this property again. There was nothing not to like.
- Simon (9/5): Lovely apartment, especially highly recommended for a cosy winter stay. - The Garden Apartment is very cosy & also good quality throughout. The layout is really nicely done.
Log burner fireplace with logs & coals provided was amazing, Easy access & good instructions.
Flexible host who was responsive to questions.
The kitchen was well stocked with utensils & appliances, everything a normal house kitchen would have.
We would definitely recommend staying here.
Short walk to some very picturesque views of South Stack Lighthouse, there's also a cafe nearby. One slightly misleading element: 'Breakfast included' in reality was mini cornflakes & croissants. While we didn't expect a cooked breakfast, this could be worded more accurately, maybe "Continental breakfast items included".
There was also a coffee machine, tea, sugar, milk & fruit juices provided.
- Julie (7/5): Relaxing and refreshing - Location was ideal for walking but needed transport to restaurants. The view from the window was beautiful The room was very small and kept banging my leg on the bed as you came out of the bathroom
Toilet macerater kept going off during the night.
Said sitting area but it was outside which is great for the summer.
- Rooney (5/5): -
- Katie (8/5): A peaceful retreat! - The location is beautiful, just a few minutes from South Stack. The room had a private terrace with 2 chairs, a side table and lovely views. It was clean and cosy and would be perfect for a couple or a single person. It’s set in beautiful grounds and isn’t a far drive to Holyhead to go for a meal or get a take away. The room is very small. It’s difficult to gauge the size when booking because the photographs are in with the ones from the bigger house so it’s not really clear. There is only a small fridge and kettle in the room so no facility to warm food, I.e., microwave. We did have a lovely break there though and watched the sun set over south stack both evenings.
- DAMIAN (8/5): Fantastic - The Coziness of property.
The location Nothing
- Abbey (8/5): -
- Kirsten (10/5): Absolute ZEN - Beautifull Views if the sea
- Declan (7/5): -
- james (4/5): - The room was to small
- Neil Raymond (4/5): Great location but tired room with tired mattress. - Wild location Room was cramped with flaking paint on walls and ceilings, cobwebs on fittings.
- Jane (6/5): - Lovely quiet location Carpet wet in the entrance from a leak in the shower room. Woodwork rotten on bathroom door frame.
- Richard (10/5): -
- Govia (10/5): Best vacation ever! And I have been to several countries! - The grounds on this property was a dream come through for me. Wish I could stay longer. Would definitely be back!
A piece of heaven on earth! Slept like a baby! And oh the peace and quiet! Amazing! Definitely the highlight of my 1 month journey through the UK! That my stay was so short! LOL!
- jonathan (4/5): - Location Decor poor
- Paul (8/5): -
- caroline (10/5): Great place to stay with many bedrooms and bathrooms - Views stunning - everywhere spotlessly clean. House is equipped really well and is spacious. Large garden for guests to use - even had a dog field on the property ! Nothing
- Pamela (10/5): Perfect as ever - Garden room perfect, location fabulous. Nothing
- Justyna (3/5): - The view and location The mouldy bathroom and smelly carpet. Cleaning standards schould be much better
- Tom (7/5): Fantastische lokatie. - Fantastische lokatie. Beperkt ontbijt.
- Susan (5/5): A beautiful location but I would not rebook due to the cramped room and disappointing breakfast. - The property was in a great location with beautiful views. The site appeared to be well managed. It was quiet and had great parking.
The room overlooked a lovely garden and had views of the sea. It was easy to access places like South Stack Lighthouse and Trearddur Bay.
It had a nice patio area.
The bed was very comfortable and the accommodation was clean. Communication from the owners was good prior to our visit. The room was very small. There was no wardrobe or chest of drawers. We had to live out of our cases which would have been an issue if staying for a week. There was no dining area as advertised by Booking.com. There were no chairs and breakfast had to be eaten whilst sitting on the bed. We had not realised that breakfast would be provided in the room. Breakfast provisions were poor- nothing was fresh, all ‘long life’ - cereal, cartons of juice, granola bars, UHT milk. It would have been great to have fresh milk, juice, bread, yoghurt, fruit. It would have been nice to have a toaster. A good breakfast feels important to a break away.
The door of the en-suite would not close. The paint on the walls was flaking and the radiator seemed dirty and rusted.
- William (9/5): Excellent would stay again - Amazing location - lots of good walks and beaches near by. Great views of the coast. Within 100 yards an ancient monument an amazing group of stone hut circles, Room bit small but on a nice day it had a good patio to have breakfast or to read and relax.
- Martin (4/5): Small bijou and needs updating - Beautiful area but room is a single room with a chunky double bed in it. Black and blue legs from bed corners and with two people one way traffic. Cracked paint rusty towel rail , saniflow system which made noise throughout the night , overall outside looks beautiful inside garden room if updated would be a great place for single person with a single bed and perhaps a chair to sit in.
- Karen (10/5): Beautiful location, great for a short stay - Fabulous location Room a little small if you have a lot of luggage!
- Karen (8/5): Fantastic location but the room is starting to look a little tired. - We have stayed in the garden room before and for a short stay it is fine. Very small but having a private outside courtyard is a bonus! The housekeeping is not what it was! Checking under the bed to make sure we weren’t leaving anything I found 2 partially deflated balloons which I disposed of with out rubbish! Makes us question how thorough the cleaning is.
- Julie (10/5): Relaxing place had the most lovely stay. Some lovely places to walk too with scenic views. - Very clean, beautiful, peaceful surroundings would highly recommend it. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.
- Andrew (8/5): Ok for one night - Location Had not realised other guests were around as well
- Birgit (3/5): Not worth going there - Parking space, view, silence The Garden room.
The room is so small that you can hardly walk around the bed.
No space for suitcase, noch storeroom. The English breakfast are prepacked cornflakes and cereal bar on top of a refrigerator that does not work. Loo is loose on the floor. Pump does work
sometimes without reason - during the night quite annoying!
Only table to sit is outside on the terrace which makes no sense in rainy weather. Almost every metal is rusty. Traces of mold in ceiling corner. Paint falling from the wall, bed too small and too soft. Not allowed to use the Garden.
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Kathy (4/5): Great location but disappointing on accommodation space ! - Location !!
Great to have a fridge in room 😁 Room not adequate space for 2 people ! Bed too close to ensuite door which meant it was too easy to knock into, very painful as wooden bed. Mattress awful too soft, windows would not open which is a safety issue !
Would have been good to have a choice of cereals supplied, not just crunchy nut cornflakes.
- Alan (7/5): Spot on for bird watching at RSPB South Stack. - Location is excellent. Tea, coffee, snack breakfast supplies including cereal, bars, pain au chocolat, milk, kitchen roll, aluminium foil and washing-up liquid. Fast WiFi, smart TV. Excellent shower, apartment warm and clean throughout. Wood and coal for the open fire in the living room although we didn't need it. Noise from other guests in the rest of the house, both above and to the side. There was a fire exit door in the living room linking to the larger property (rest of house) that was repeatedly tried by other guests.
There was a drop-leaf table in the hall but the living room had no space for a dining table. A small metal folding garden table and one uncomfortable metal chair was provided.
The kitchen had a dishwasher but not a freezer or ice box in the fridge. There was limited cutlery and other utensils (no peeler, no bottle opener/cork screw, no sieve, no colander). The oven had only one shelf, no grill pan and there was only one baking tray (no casserole or other oven-proof dishes). There were no chopping boards for food preparation. Only one larger bowl suitable for the microwave cooking.
There were no instructions for the kitchen appliances (including Nespresso machine).
No brush and dustpan.
13A double socket in the bathroom next to the WC was a worry and not 3m+ from the shower. The consumer unit was in a locked cupboard low down in the bathroom, not ideal.
- Evelyn (7/5): Clean but very small. Forget the breakfast. - Very clean and comfortable bed. Great views and location. The garden room is TINY.
Breakfast is prepackaged croissant and juice. PG tips or Nescafé packets. Could they not even supply some herbal tea bags or proper coffee sachets?
- Sabrina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Collette (8/5): Very good -
- Asiah (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (9/5): Cosy dog friendly stay with easy drive to the ferry port - Fully equipped and everything we needed in a small space. Ideal for just 1 night. Dog exercise field was exceptional: large, clean and secure with a mown track around the periphery. Nothing
- Lee (7/5): Great location for bird spotting and sights around the area - The location to south stack and not to far to go into the twin of Holyhead The fridge in the room was to noisy plus the toilet system would keep going off through the night. When they say there’s breakfast included in your stay what do you get for that ? For the 3 days we was there you had 3 things to spread over the 3 days it was a cereal bar each a small box of crunchy nut cornflakes each and a small chocolate filled roll each as you had to choose what you wanted out of the 3 for the 3 days of the stay. Plus if you are diabetic it’s no good for you as they have to much sugar in them. Should explain what the Breakfast is as people can make plans if it’s not suitable for them.
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and peaceful could do with a bigger sign had a job finding place
- Chris (7/5): Good -
- Susan (7/5): you can't choose your neighbours unfortunately - beautiful place. great views and comfortable apartment attached to the main house you can hear all the coming and going of the people in the property
unfortunately I was next to a couple who decided to party untill 1.45 with guests they had invited..in and out of the house..playing music..dog barking and not keeping their voices down. I had a 4 hour drive the following day after 4 hours sleep. I asked the owner if he would honour a stay compensation but he hasn't responded just saying that he'd been to London on a business trip and arrived back at 12..that he could hear music and voices but it didn't bother him because he wasn't as close to the main house myself..just said sorry. such a shame. the towels were a bit thin and musty tumble dried aswell as the bed linen so I'd recommend you'd may like to bring your own. there wasn't a freezer compartment in the fridge so don't bring frozen food. breakfast was included but unless you like cornflakes there wasn't anything else offered apart from cereal bars and little panochocolate.
- Sheena (10/5): - Everything
- Claire (8/5): Very good -
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Lovely property in a great location.
- Everton (9/5): Superb - N/A
- Balaji (8/5): Very good property with a good view - Very good property with a good view and all basic facilities with convenient parking space at the property
- Dave (7/5): Bijou accomodation - Well kept and comfortable with adequate facilities and a comfortable bed. The location is a tad remote.
- Janet (10/5): Wonderful place to stay and appreciate a wide variety of wildlife - Beautiful location
Everything we needed to enjoy our stay
Very welcoming and able to appreciate the spectacular wildlife all around us Nothing it was lovely
- Anita (5/5): Passable -
- Ashley (8/5): Great location - Great property in a fab location, room is quite small, so two days was an enough. Loved the little touches in the room x Would recommend 😊 Room is small
- Jamison (10/5): Perfect - Perfect location to walk to south stack. 2nd time here just me and my daughter. Nothing
- Kevin (8/5): Great location for a short stay - Great location next to South Stack, easy to find, nice view and small private terrace which gets the morning sun. Warm, clean and exactly as advertised. Small room only really suits short stay. Would have liked the door code earlier than the day before as we were travelling with intermittent phone signal, but owner did provide details as stated and sent in email too.
- Elaine (10/5): Brilliant property, great views, lovely host - Great apartment, has everything you need, beautiful setting, close to coastal walk, just perfect!! Nothing to dislike
