• Companion44845003754 (10/5): Big Surprise - The whole stay has always been a pleasure with friendly staff as we do stay almost every year. This trip had some issues with the room however it was immediately address by a lady floor manager the next day ( apologies did not get her name) who was kind to upgrade our stay without us asking. The other shout out would go to Mr Krishna at their restaurant on the ground floor. Which serve delicious vegetarian meals. He went beyond his ways to make our meals enjoyable .nothing beats having your coffee served without being asked every morning . Super customer service from him. Thank you Krishna. See you guys soon. Amazing place to stay with a mall linked next door.

Adjacent to the Express Avenue Shopping Mall, guests can enjoy shopping, dining, and cinema visits. The extremely convenient location ensured a comfortable stay. The hotel staff were helpful; when I had difficulty using my room key, they responded promptly to resolve the issue. It is a hotel I would wish to use again.

Dirty smell toilet from drain gas is returning spread toilet area, dirty smell. 2. Cooridor area also drainage smell 3. Corridor carpet is wet and dried marks is there, looking very ugly. 4. Restaurant food is average. 5. Its like two star hotel.

• sheznas (10/5): Good hotel overall - This is a very good hotel. The location was excellent as the mall had a variety of shops. The hotel staff were efficient and helpful. Every member was on point. The rooms clean and I will stay at this hotel of I visit chennai again.

• Balapatabendi (8/5): The stay was good but as mentioned concierge should opt finding a taxi on a platform without charhin - The breakfast was much better than the last time although it would have been good to include an Omlette station. I liked the location and I think all in all it was a good experience. The fact that the hotel was only accepting to provide taxi from the hotel and the taxi wasn’t a hotel branded one so it seemed as if they had ordered a cab at a lower cost and I ended up paying double the amount as I didn’t have Ola or Uber Concienge should assist in getting that option.

• Ali (1/5): Poor service, unprofessional attitude by staff, would not recommend. - Location Convenient location… that about it! That’s all to it. Service is terrible! Staff (including managerial) is unaccommodating & unwelcoming. They do not honor made by the guests any requests. Hygiene is of concern. Housekeeping do not replace bed sheets & towels. Any requests made to housekeeping takes 1 - 2 hours I.e. if they honor your request. We had to wait about 7 hours once to get extra towels & bed sheets. A hotel running out of towels is unheard of. We requested for an ironing board & never got one at all. The house keeping staff’s attitude is as if they are doing you a favor. WiFi doesn’t work. No complaint gets resolved, even after complaining several times. If you’re looking for good service…. look elsewhere.

Hotel staff is amazing and very helpful Gopi, Jiveta, Satish and Nishit from the front desk helped us always Krishna in the breakfast restaurant was prompt in his service Overall a good hotel. Will stay again on my next visit. Pure vegetarian hotel. No iron in each room. Iron they provide on request and is limited.

• 383balasubramanianm (6/5): Just average - The rooms are god, bathrooms fittings are very old and not maintained. Common areas are smelly, I believe due to the carpet not cleaned properly. Breakfast Buffet is ok within what is available in veg. The walls of the lifts are covered with foam and it looks stuffy and smelly. The only advantage is its access to the mall.

• Nair (9/5): All in all, it was an enjoyable stay - Vegetarian food for breakfast was good. But it would be good if you could also include eggs (boiled or Omelette) in your breakfast menu. The bathroom door could not be locked. Toilet rolls provided were not enough but after we mentioned it to room service, they made sure that we had enough.

• Fordeweb (7/5): A 2* hotel at best, clearly run down, but you'll sleep okay - The beds were comfortable, and it was close to a western style accommodation. Its location attached to a mall gave great food and drink options. Wifi okay for basic calls, 30 ish MB/s. It clearly was a 'good' hotel when it was built, but clearly has been neglected over the years, with nothing being repaired or updated. The bathroom would flood after just one shower. There was a cockroach in the toilet. The doors to the bathroom would not close. The TV had a line down it. The reception staff were terrible and unfriendly. Breakfast started later than advertised. All in all, a run down mismanaged hotel.

• Rosy (7/5): Generally a very good hotel but could benefit from attention to detail. - Breakfast was very good, lots of variety & tasty. Location was excellent. Reception staff (young woman) was rude & a little arrogant when I asked for wi-fi details - she insisted she'd given them to me "in the morning". I checked in the night before! Lose the attitude. I was asked to pay in full at check-in for the two nights I booked without even having a chance to use the hotel: I'm a very experienced traveller & it is customary to process the payment at check out, once the service has been provided. The room access cards (also for the lift) need to be fixed: even the staff members had to swipe them a few times before the doors opened. It is very frustrating to stand in the lift or at the room door swiping several times. My friends & I have used them in hotels all over the world for years & if they are maintained properly, work very well. Bedroom floor could be a little cleaner - there was a tissue on the floor next to the bed when I first arrived. Under the bed needs attention.

The only good thing here is that it's directly connected to the Express Avenue Mall. The spread for breakfast was also average, however, there is fresh dosa station available. The room is pretty clean overall. However, the chairs in the room had stains so I didn't want to sit on them.

It is annexed to EA Mall, which is very practical Had some issues with the front desk/ reception We asked if we could book a room for one more night as our flight was at 3 am and checkout is at noon. The first person we asked kept saying he will see and get back to us but never did. The second person we asked said the hotel was fully booked that day. Sensing something fishy (because of how dismissive they had both been), I checked online and found 4 rooms available for that day. I went ahead and booked it by myself. No explanations nor any apologies were ever given - just a noncommittal "mmm" when we asked. We were even made to move all our luggage between rooms because of " wifi reparations ". Honestly ,I don't know if they actually had repairs to do. It mostly felt like petty revenge for saying we didn't appreciate being lied to. A friendly smile , an apology and/or an explanation goes a long way in solving issues and avoiding bad reviews. Without this sour end to our stay, I otherwise honestly would have given this hotel 10/10 and would have stayed there each time I needed to be in Chennai. Okay 9/10 - half the machines in the gym don't work.

• Nimalka (6/5): Ok Enjoyed the locTiin - Ther The location is good. But the breakfast spread is minimalist compared to the price we pay. IBIS has a better spread. Further no supervision about toile and room cleaning. My sink was clogged and it was horrible to see some hair stuck in the sink. Towels are old. The floor mopping is not up to date. Walls and corners of the toilet and bathroom set up not polished with even powder like VIM. It is a pity that less attention given to such hygienic considerations. General cleaning ok. But for the rate we pay it is substandard maintained. Staff was very good and kind.

• Thanzeela (5/5): Passable - Food was good, some staffs were friendly. The express avenue mall is just there, It was very convenient for us to go to the mall. The interior of the room I didn't like. You can see from the room to the bathroom, the door wouldn't close properly, there's a gap between the sliding doors. It needs upgrade The hotel lift was annoying, the card doesn't work properly, everyday I had to go to the front desk to get it sorted.

• Alexander (2/5): Terrible staff - The staff was incredibly rude. They refused to help us modify our reservation and said "that's not our problem. Your money is your problem." They were unresponsive when messaged through booking.com. They argued and tried to charge us for 3 nights instead of 1 until the booking staff resolved the issue. As we were checking out, they were arguing with another customer about the price of breakfast. The staff and management is poorly trained and does not understand the concept of hospitality. When our friends helped us with our bags, we received a very rude phone call from the manager stating that guests were not allowed in the room. We told him that they were just helping unload and would not be staying. He hung up without apologizing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and the staff needs to be entirely retrained.

Being a Genius member of booking.com , hotel didn’t provide early check in , for 3 hours they charged me 3500 rs plus tax , even though the rooms were ready and booking .com keep on assuring that , upon availability the hotel will provide early check in and late check out . 2. Menu card in the room doesn’t match with the order placed and they serve only vegetarian food 3. Room service was pathetic 4. Overall , hotel says it is four star plus , but even 2 star service is not given .
