Fenêtres impossibles à ouvrir et une fois ouvertes , impossible de les fermer . L’accueil doit être disponible 24 h / 24 . Or les portes étaient closes à notre arrivée vers 15 h et nous avons dû attendre 18 h pour profiter de notre chambre . Aucune explication , pas de contact téléphonique . Situation dans un quartier très mal fréquenté .

• Marie F (8/5): Comfortable hotel with secure parking and good service - There is a very secure parking area behind the property and, while there was a height restriction of about 1.98m, we managed to get our car in with two kayaks on the roof! The lovely receptionist checked us in and when we reached our room we found she had given us a room from which we could see our car. The hotel is well placed to walk into town. There is a bakery just around the corner and the receptionist gave us an excellent recommendation for a restaurant within a couple of minutes walk. There was a wider choice of good restaurants in the old town, which we sampled on the second day. The room was comfortable and functional. There was a separate toilet cubicle and shower room, both were basic but functional. All the staff we interacted with were very helpful and friendly. Perhaps it would be good to provide directions to the car parking before arrival as it was a little tricky to find.

• Lindsay (7/5): Good - Even though there were awkward roadworks to access the car park they helped guide us to secure parking. Dark corridors.
• Dick (6/5): - A bit disappointed with the Ashley Hotel Location was good (near staion) & it was clean. They are the good points. Now for the faults! Corridors to room virtually pitch black, had to use a torch. Reception unmaned most of the time. Nowhere to charge a phoe in room. No bedside tables. Cracked glass in window. What little furniture there was, is in a very poor state of repair. Tiny bathroom & shower. Would not stay there again. There are many others in th area, fat better, and for very little more in price.

• Stanislav (10/5): For the price perfect - The room provide better comfort than expeced after reading of references. I agree that the lighting may be better but it is good enough for normal activity. Room has average size and by my opinion it was nicely clean. This is given mainly by the fact that the room is designed to be easily cleaned. The hotel surroundings is very attractive for youths making mess on the street. But it is not a guilty of this hotel.

English spoken at the hotel. Room and all facilities were very clean. Easy walk to town and trams very close. Great value for money. Room quite small, but big bed. Car park is tight with narrow access.... anyone with a large SUV may have to think again or park elsewhere.

• Dorota (8/5): - For a short stay, it is a great location. A easy walk to the medieval town, cathedral and churches. Trams and busses, all center at the plaza in front of the train station. Very good breakfast fuels the exploration of the city. Safe comfortable and quiet room allows for a good rest. Friendly staff adds to the comfort of the stay.

• Colin (1/5): Bad - Booking. Com lied on the website, it clearly stated "Breakfast included" and still does. It didn't say, tick to get parking or anything else yet it cost €22 for two rough breakfasts with fermenting orange juice!

Car parking at rear of hotel, but entrance round the corner and a little tricky to find - checkout on Google Maps first. Good continental breakfast and helpful front desk staff. Budget hotel, so no air conditioning.

• Michael (8/5): A Good Hotel for a short staty - We visited for 4 night to attend the Moto GP. The Ashley is comfortable basic hotel in a great location right by the railway station and tram system with a short walk into the town centre. Staff were friendly and helpful and the whole place was very clean. The rooms, particularly the bed are comfortable and equipped to the level appropriate to this class of hotel. The only real negative was that once away from the ground floor the corridors and staircase are in need of decoration. We did not use the car parking but access looked easy for a normal sized vehicle. Overall a good place for a short stay

• David (10/5): Loving it in LeMans - Conveniently across from the train station this older but well maintained hotel offered a large spacious room, modern bathroom and comfortable bed. It also has secure parking and storage for bicycles. The town centre is a bit of a hike to get to but easily accessed by the tram that goes right by the hotel.
• Julien (4/5): Un hôtel à éviter, un 3ème étage à fuir - Un hotel qui propose de tels tarifs (même la semaine des 24 Heures du Mans) se doit d'offrir un service irréprochable. - Plus personne à l'accueil après 22h - Une chambre ridiculement petite, la salle de bain qui se ferme par un rideau, le pommeau de douche qui ne tient pas - Pas de clim ni de ventilateur et donc une température aussi élevée dans la chambre qu'à l'extérieur, ce n'est pas admissible (plus de 30 degrés....) donc obligé de dormir avec la fenêtre ouverte, parfait pour le bruit et la lumière. - L'ascenseur qui ne va pas au 3ème étage - Le petit déjeuner est cher et quelconque Bref, voilà, je ne reviendrai pas

People are really friendly. not high end but definitely a excellent price quality relation with a good service and attentive people.

• Timothy (8/5): Good hotel if it's cheap. - Nice friendly hotel, but tired in places. Expensive, but prices was loaded at it was MotoGP weekend. Not worth what I paid, but if you get it for the 45euros it says outside it' going to be ok. Close to train station and city centre, so very convenient.

Toutefois les fermetures de portes font du bruit (surtout en sortant de la chambre car les clients claquent les portes sans pouvoir les retenir, ce qui est pénalisant pour le confort auditif). Attention à vérifier le nombre de taxe de séjour car arrivé chez moi, j'ai découvert que la facture indiquait 2 taxes de séjour alors que j'étais seul (j'ai payé 4 taxes pour 2 nuits), mais découvert trop tard, donc à mes pertes et profits.... Très bon PDJ (mais pas d'expresso) avec buffet froid. Ne pas venir au PDJ entre 7h45 et 8h15 car beaucoup de monde et pas de place en salle (l’hôtel était certes complet). Très bon accueil, je reviendrai si l'occasion se représente.

Beware low parking height! - We were unable to check in as the hotel was locked and dark when we arrived at 11pm, when the bell was answered we were unfortunately not met with the friendly greeting other reviewers described. More unfortunately were then told the car park was full and would not fit our car, as it was <2m high - and there was nowhere else safe nearby to park the car. Would not recommend for travellers looking for a stop-over hotel or as a hotel with guaranteed parking, but may be ok for those visiting Le Mans itself.

• Colin (8/5): Very Good Budget Hotel - This hotel is well placed for both the railway station, which is opposite but cannot be heard, and for the tram system to the centre of town in 10 minutes. There may be a sex shop next but three and a kebab shop next door but who cares, this is France. it should be noted there are no meals in the hotel except for a good breakfast. Around the corner there are numerous excellent restaurants especially the Alsace one. Staff spoke adequate English if required.

• philippe (6/5): Classique - Un hôtel de gare dont les chambre sont rénovée. La literie est très excellente. Ecran TV plat mais de petite taille. La salle de bain équipée d'une douche...avec un rideau, peu mieux faire ! Le petit déjeuner classique. Personnellement, ça manque de fromage blanc et de céréales.

The bed was very small and uncomfortable and the room very basic.Thank goodness we were only staying one night as there are probably better hotels for the same(expensive) rates elsewhere
