Guests enjoy a sun terrace, garden, 50+ varitie of fruit trees & coffee farm. Additional amenities include a lounge, shared kitchen, indoor play area, outdoor seating & barbecue facilities Please note that the first night of your stay will be charged at the time of booking, with the remaining balance payable upon arrival. When travelling with pets, please note that a deposit of AUD 100 applies when booking the Superior Bungalow. Please note that pets must be kept on a lead at all times when booking the Superior Bungalow. Guests arriving after 17:00 are advised to contact the property before their stay to arrange their check-in. Contact details are available on the booking confirmation. Guests are requested to provide an Australian mobile phone number if possible. Unique accomodation in the train carriages- lots of fun & fully equipped either every comfort. The breakfast is definitely worth having included their own onsite grown coffee.

Lisa (10/5): Quite and Relaxing in Beautiful Surrounds - we've already booked a longer stay for next time. - The location is gorgeous amounst an amazing garden of plants and fruit trees. The rail carriage was quaint and delightfully decorated - just gorgeous. There is no TV - and I get why, but, personally I would have liked it.
Erwin (9/5): Top locatie - De Glasshouse mountains ecolodge is net overgenomen door een nieuwe eigenaar. Deze eigenaar is heel enthousiast en denkt graag mee in mogelijkheden. Zo heeft hij ons in contact gebracht met een restaurant in de buurt met een courtesy car, zodat we na het inchecken konden genieten van een wijntje en een kaasplankje en de auto konden laten staan. Het was de bedoeling om voor het ontbijt nog ons eigen fruit te plukken van de fruitbomen op het terrein. Helaas zat het weer tegen, want de regen kwam met bakken uit de lucht vallen. Deze mooie plek is echt een aanrader voor iedereen. -

Unfortunately I forgot to arrange breakfast, so we missed out. We all agreed that next time, breakfast will be on the menu. Unfortunately we never took any photos, we were too busy enjoying our stay. There was nothing that anyone of us can fault.

Great location in the Glass House mountains, would recommend the lookout cafe for coffee or breakfast and the glass house tavern for excellent pub food.

Tina (10/5): - I struggle to find words to describe how wonderful our stay at glasshouse mountains ecolodge was! This is not going to be everyone's cup of tea but for us it was just perfect. We felt an overwhelming sense of peace the moment we arrived and Chris, the new owner of just 2 days, could not have been more welcoming. It did have slight hostel vibes with the communal kitchen and although I thought I'd long since grown out of that it was actually great. It's a really quirky place with perfect imperfections and to honest we could have moved in there and then. Chris, I believe you are only going to add to this place's charm and beauty and I really do wish you well. Being so close to nature you do need insect repellent but can buy it here.

Chris is extremely apologetic for the sad state the property had been left by previous owner (dirty/poor upkeep/indifference). I appreciate Chris's sincere effort to improve our stay in his few short hours as the new owner. I wish him luck. As above, previous owner Keith Murray neglected the property prior to new owner. We booked this stay based on previous reviews--but we did not have a clean cabin (Queenslander). Chris stated he is bringing in a deep cleaning crew to bring property back up to par of previous reviews. I appreciate Chris's transparency.

Unique. - Unique place to stay in the beautiful area with a host who is eco-conscious and has a fascinating story to tell. We stayed in the railway carriage which was an experience in itself. Simple but plentiful breakfast out on the terrace (or inside a different railway carriage) with amazing coffee grown by the owner. Nothing!

Sally was friendly and very helpful. A little bit like a hostel in the communal areas. Our bungalow was self-contained with a full kitchen, but there were a few things that needed fixing, and it was all looking a bit dated. Not as isolated as we imagined.

Just 10 minutes to Australia Zoo and a short drive to a couple of places to eat. Or cook in the room or the common area kitchen/BBQ Really nothing.

Daliborka (3/5): It is close to Australian Zoo. Not a great place for the money - owner wasn’t very friendly - Nice view on the Glass mountain and close to the zoo. Very outdated and not well kept up properly - expected more and wasn’t impressed. Saw a mouse in the kitchen. Uncomfortable bed.
Louka (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed it. Would love to come back and make sure to bring my binoculars for bird watching. - The location. The bushes. The birds, insects and the garden. Lots of common sitting areas. Large, clean and tidy kitchen. Interesting artistic style. I saw cockroaches in my room. Mice in the kitchen and mice’s poo on kitchen bench.

Tony (10/5): Truly special place. - Close to town and some great hikes. Loved the old train carriages. We saw some sort of marsupial I hadn’t seen before. Insects didn’t get in our room, which is impressive. All good.

Erica (8/5): I could live here! - Love everything about this place! The feel, the location, the charming accommodation, the privacy, the facilities, and the people. All fabulous. We were very comfortable and cosy in a gorgeous renovated train carriage. Enjoyed a relaxed dinner and wine on our private and peaceful deck watching the sunset. Thoroughly appreciated a healthy, homegrown breakfast on the shared dining car deck chatting with new people. We didn't want to leave! The bed does feel a bit cramped being against the wall, and our mattress felt a bit tired and sagging towards the middle, the springs a little prominent, so it was a bit uncomfortable for us. However, the manchester was good quality, clean and fresh and it was a nice sleeping environment, so it wasn't terrible, but it could be improved. I also think there's a few blind spots with the cleaning. It may be due for some more attention after the busy holiday period.

Vivienne (Viv) (9/5): Loved the tropical environment and clear commitment to conservation, engagement with nature. - Grateful to Keith for transportation from Glasshouse Mountain to the Ecolodge. There was a great diversity of guests and very calm environment. The coffee grown onsite was a standout!

Room was perfect for what we needed - kids enjoyed having their separate spaces Shower was a little small and we are used to flick mixer tap so that we can turn the water off to save water when showering

miranda (8/5): Lovely location, good value and quirky place - The setting was lovely and great to have a full kitchen in the shared railway carriage to cook meals. The lady in charge while the ownder was away was helpful and friendly. The rooms are a bit dated and some of the windows didn't open in our room - but the price was very reasonable for what you get so I think that's fair enough and the location id great.

Tracey (10/5): The nearby Glass House Mountains also gave us the opportunity to explore the area, including a walk around the base of M - Driving down the driveway we saw a sign which made us laugh which kind of set the scene for us. We stayed in a beautifully restored church in the Glass House Mountains, and it was an unforgettable experience. The space was incredibly generous, with high ceilings and a peaceful atmosphere that truly honoured the building’s history. The attention to detail was outstanding…every corner featured unique furnishings and décor pieces from the era, thoughtfully chosen to keep the charm and character of the original church alive. It felt warm, welcoming, and full of personality. One of the highlights was the property itself. There were numerous fruit trees scattered around the grounds, and we were able to wander through and taste a variety of exotic Australian fruits — finger limes, mangoes, jackfruit and more. It was such a unique and memorable experience. A perfect blend of heritage, comfort, and natural beauty. Highly recommended for anyone wanting something special and unforgettable. N/A
